It had been unbearably hot for so long that I didn’t feel like going anywhere, but I thought a hotel staycation would be enjoyable, so I decided to make a Reservation. The chilled hand towels on arrival and the ice-filled ice bucket provided during turndown were thoughtful touches—especially appreciated in summer. It was also my first time trying lounge hopping, and I miscalculated by eating too much and ending up uncomfortably full at dinner… Still, I enjoyed strolling around the garden inside the Hotel and had a very satisfying stay.

I stayed here on a business trip to Nagoya. This was my second visit, and once again I am truly grateful for your wonderful hospitality. The building’s design, with its extensive use of glass, is beautiful, and with the facilities being new, everything was spotless and impeccably clean. The meals and hot springs were excellent, the room was spacious, and the price was reasonable—making it another flawless stay. This time I also had more time, so I visited the adjacent Urakuen Garden as well. It was a fantastic place, and I sincerely appreciate being able to enter free of charge as a guest benefit. Inuyama is also conveniently located just over 30 minutes from Nagoya Station, so I would love to stay again on my next business trip to Nagoya. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay. We stayed here as a couple this summer and loved the ryokan so much that we returned this time with my parents to celebrate my father’s 77th birthday. We chose one of the detached guest rooms again, and since there are several, it was a different room from last time. The garden was beautiful, and my parents enjoyed admiring it morning and evening. Both the private open-air bath and the large public bath were wonderful—my parents were absolutely delighted! In addition, since we had visited recently, they thoughtfully arranged our meals so that the menu would not overlap with our previous stay. We hadn’t mentioned in advance that this trip was for my father’s celebration, but when the proprietress came to greet us during dinner and I casually brought it up, she kindly offered a lovely gesture as well. Thanks to this ryokan, my parents said they truly enjoyed their trip to Atami. All of the staff were incredibly attentive, and they even took lots of photos for us (laughs). They also kindly saw us off all the way until our taxi departed. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the proprietress and all of the staff for helping us create such a wonderful celebration. We would love to visit again in a different season.

In early autumn in Karuizawa, I was able to enjoy delicious cuisine in a quiet setting. I arrived a little early, before 3:00 p.m., tired from the drive, but the welcome drink was nicely chilled, and the florentines left in the room were crisp and delicious. Although it was close to central Karuizawa, it was a lovely auberge with an attractive exterior, surrounded by forest and offering a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Inside, while the doors, windows, and other fittings had a classic style, everything was kept clean and there were no issues with usability; the furniture and small decorative touches were also charming. The lamp-style lighting fixtures were lovely but slightly dim—I would have appreciated an extra light for reading. For dinner, I had hoped to dine at Pyrenees among the two restaurants available, but it was closed that day, so I chose French cuisine at the main building instead. It was a French course with subtle Japanese influences and priced on the higher side at JPY 22,000. The main dish was duck (a bit early for the season), though there may be room for further refinement in its preparation; however, it paired beautifully with the wine selected for me. Dessert consisted of two elaborate dishes featuring seasonal fruit. Considering this attentive service as part of the experience (and given that prices have risen everywhere over this past year), I felt the cost was understandable. The bathroom had a Western style with a separate shower booth and was well equipped overall; however, as someone of smaller build—and over 70—I found some aspects slightly concerning: the tub floor felt slippery underfoot, the bathtub sides were high to step over without anything to hold onto. I would appreciate it if more consideration could be given to elderly guests. Overall, it had an elegant and relaxing atmosphere.

We were completely satisfied with both the facilities and the meals! On top of the mountain, we noticed a smoky aroma—it turned out to be a campfire. We toasted marshmallows, and inside there was complimentary champagne service. The French cuisine was delicious, and we really enjoyed the wine. We were especially impressed by how tender the main beef dish was. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. One small thing: it would be nice to have power outlets near the bed, and I also wished the mirror area were a bit brighter for easier use. Overall, we were very satisfied and would love to stay again.

It was a completely satisfying stay in every way. All of the staff were exceptionally polite and warm, and I was able to spend my time comfortably from arrival to departure. The hotel and guest room were kept spotless down to every detail, making it truly comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious, with both the selection and atmosphere exceeding expectations. I could feel the hotel’s unique character as well as a distinctly Nagasaki ambiance, making it a place where you can enjoy the stay itself—not just spend the night. The staff service, cleanliness, and breakfast were all perfect. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Nagasaki.

My husband, daughter, and I traveled as three adults. Although we have traveled many times and have never left a Review before, I wanted to write one this time. From the moment I called in advance with a few questions, every interaction was excellent, and we were able to spend a truly wonderful and peaceful time. Thank you also for upgrading our Room. This trip to Sado Island was for one night and two days, but next time we would like to stay longer and fully enjoy everything Sado Island has to offer. We will definitely stay with you again then. Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

I chose the Onuma Prince Hotel for my friend visiting from afar. They were delighted, saying they could relax, fully enjoy the Onsen, and sleep well—it was wonderful. I’m grateful for the staff’s warm smiles and kind service.

As guests born in the Showa era, we found this wonderful Showa bubble–style Accommodation to be the best. It was spotlessly clean, and both the hot water and the meals were excellent. It was quiet, and we could relax at a leisurely pace. We will visit again together with trips to Oze and Fukiware Falls.

This was my first stay, and I was able to spend such a fulfilling time that it hardly felt like just one night and two days. From the warm welcome upon arrival, everything was handled with great care, and the staff’s heartfelt hospitality left a strong impression. Throughout my stay, they paid attention to even the smallest details, and their service remained wonderful all the way through to the farewell at departure. Rather than feeling formal or routine, it truly felt like they valued each guest as an individual. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and best of all was the open-air bath attached to it. The luxury of being able to soak in the Onsen slowly whenever I wanted was exceptional—it felt so good that I wanted to go in again and again. Enjoying the open-air bath while taking in the surrounding garden and nature helped me forget everyday fatigue. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I could enjoy not only the flavors but also the presentation and sense of seasonality. The meal itself became one of the highlights of my trip—it was that satisfying. The overall atmosphere of this Ryokan is also wonderful. It is quiet and relaxing, and simply being inside made me feel naturally at ease. Everything is well maintained down to the smallest details, making it a perfect space for enjoying an escape from everyday life. Although it was a short stay of one night and two days, by checkout I felt surprisingly refreshed both physically and mentally—I was able to truly recover from my fatigue. This is a Ryokan where you can honestly think, “I want to stay here again.” If you are looking for Accommodation in Hakone, I highly recommend staying here at least once.

After staying here during summer vacation, we were completely captivated and returned again for Silver Week. Even though it rained, the hotel’s direct connection to Parque España was a huge help, as we could easily go back and forth to take breaks. The staff were just as kind as ever, and we felt truly relaxed in the clean, luxurious room. And the delicious, fun buffet was still fantastic!! Our kids were thrilled with the Halloween-decorated cakes—and we parents enjoyed it just as much! The coffee machine was often under maintenance, so having an additional machine would be ideal; however, seeing how quickly they prepared coffee in a pitcher made us appreciate their excellent hospitality even more. Once again, we had a very satisfying stay. The day after we got home, our kids were already asking us to book our next visit—so we did right away. This is truly a hotel that children come to love, and I highly recommend it!!

We booked the anniversary plan to celebrate a milestone in our lives as art lovers. After arriving, we visited the museum and the Emile Gallé Garden, then watched the sunset from the observatory. The weather was clear, so we had a breathtaking view of both the museum’s architecture and the Seto Inland Sea. At dinner, we enjoyed French cuisine as dusk lingered and night gradually fell; the perfectly grilled fish was especially delicious. The staff served us attentively without being intrusive, and everything was wonderfully thoughtful—bouquets for both of us, sweets included, and our photo prepared in a photo frame during the meal. Everyone—from reception to the shuttle staff—was friendly and pleasant to talk with, making it an unforgettable day. We also loved experiencing Shigeru Ban’s architecture in both daylight and at night!

I’ve always loved terraces and had wanted to stay at this hotel for a long time. The staff were wonderful, and they kindly consulted with me based on my plans, providing maps and brochures, which was very helpful. For anyone reading this review, I highly recommend the terrace room. A perfect treat for yourself or your family. You can enjoy a relaxed pace of time throughout your stay.

This was my second stay. Just like last time, I was very satisfied. Each dish was well seasoned, and the freshly fried tempura was delicious. The sushi was slightly dry, but still acceptable. Since it was a buffet, empty plates were cleared quickly, so I could go back for seconds comfortably. I would like to come again.

Although we arrived a little early, they kindly welcomed us in. The service could feel a bit rough at times, but the staff were friendly and warm. Rather than the “extraordinary” feel of a luxury hotel, it had that uniquely Japanese sense of comfort and hospitality. When we got to our room and opened the sliding door (fusuma) to view the garden, some insects had come in through small gaps—probably due to the age of the building—and ended up on the inner window. If you’re not good with bugs, it may be worth keeping this in mind. Other than that, everything was comfortable. The building has a charming old-fashioned character, so I think anyone interested in traditional inns or historic architecture will especially enjoy it. The entrance and garden are particularly impressive. The food was excellent—no complaints at all. Thanks to this stay, we were able to relax and truly enjoy our holiday.

We stayed with 10 family members across three generations to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. At check-in, we were given a number ticket and had to wait a bit, perhaps because there weren’t enough staff. However, drinks were free-flowing, and the lobby was lovely, so we didn’t mind waiting. We stayed in the renovated main building. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was one mishap—the bathroom door wouldn’t close—but staff came right away and fixed it so it would close (though it still made some noise). We booked a kaiseki dinner plan and went to the dining venue, but we couldn’t find the reception desk and there were no staff around, so we sat at the table number written on paper. Even after waiting for a while, no one came. When we spoke to a trainee staff member, they came to take our drink order. After that, an experienced staff member in charge of our table came over. Since I had noted in our reservation that this was for my father’s 70th birthday celebration, they brought a red celebratory vest (chanchanko). On top of that, they surprised us with an extra celebratory dish “from the kitchen” and even a gift from the hotel—my father was truly delighted. As expected from Hyakumangoku Hotel. We chose this hotel because we stayed here as a family about 25 years ago and remembered it well—my father said he wanted to stay here again. After the renovation made everything even nicer, being able to return together with more grandchildren than before felt very special. It became a wonderful trip to remember. Thank you very much!

I stayed for one night during the first half of Silver Week. Due to an unfortunate heavy rain warning, I ended up extending my stay (there were occasional power outages, but service was restored quickly), and I was able to enjoy my Hotel stay with my dog without any issues. If I had to mention one thing, the indoor dog run felt like an outdoor shed and seemed a bit old, so I didn’t feel like staying there for long. I would have preferred a brighter indoor space with a cleaner feel. However, the staff were kind and spoke to me warmly, which made me feel very comfortable. The meals were excellent and I was very satisfied.

Both the Room and the bath were clean, and the staff provided pleasant service, making our stay very satisfying. Thank you very much.

This is a Hotel I make sure to visit at least once a year, and this stay left me feeling relaxed and refreshed thanks to the beautiful views of Hamarikyu Gardens and the Sumida River from the window. Even during a very busy autumn holiday weekend, Club mesm maintained the same wonderfully calm atmosphere as always, and I was able to spend a leisurely evening there while enjoying an original cocktail. I also got to enjoy my favorite burger—usually ordered at Whisk—via in-room dining during my stay, and I really appreciate being able to savor it in a private space along with beer or orange juice from the refrigerator. With experiences available even in the room—like playing an electronic piano or making hand-drip coffee—this is truly a fantastic Hotel where there’s never a dull moment. I would love to stay again.

A birthday trip for my husband. We were traveling with kids but still wanted a touch of luxury, and I’m so glad we stayed here! Right after entering the front desk area, there were turtles and koi, and the kids absolutely loved it! The room was wonderful, of course, and the view of Lake Suwa from the window was amazing. Dinner was in a private dining room, so we had our own space, and the garden view was beautiful. The food was delicious too! The next morning we took a short walk around Lake Suwa, which felt really refreshing. The service kept a comfortable distance while still feeling warm and genuine. On Ikkyu, this hotel is labeled as “Casual.” There may be various criteria behind that, but I feel it’s a shame—some people might skip it just because of that label.
