We stayed as a couple in our early senior years. We thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, the eel (especially the skin), the ayu wrapped and baked in brick pastry, and the low-temperature cooked fillet were particularly memorable. At breakfast, the galette was especially delicious. The portions were just right, and even my wife—who usually cannot finish everything—managed to eat all the way through to the final warabi mochi this time. Our Room was a semi-suite with plenty of space, and we spent a very comfortable stay. My wife especially loved the refined beauty of the bath walls and the tatami flooring in the toilet area. However, we did notice some noise from the air conditioning (it seemed to be central heating rather than an in-room unit) during the night. A river with quite a strong flow ran beneath the window of one of your smoking rooms. Next time, we would love to stay in a riverside Room. The day after our stay, we headed to Senjojiki Cirque, and it was very helpful that you allowed us to leave our car parked in your Accommodation’s parking lot. Thank you very much.

The room was made of solid wood, creating a very calming atmosphere. The meals were delicious, featuring plenty of local ingredients from Nasu. Breakfast—including the bread—was also excellent, and I ended up eating more than I intended. The staff were wonderful, and I was impressed by their fluent English. It was a truly memorable stay.

We were completely satisfied with everything—the room, the private hot spring, and the staff! What impressed us most was the food. The soy sauce kaiseki meal—this was the first time in my life I truly savored soy sauce like this! Every ingredient was delicious. We were more than satisfied. Breakfast was also perfectly seasoned to bring out the natural flavors, and we couldn’t stop eating rice. It’s a long, long trip from Nagoya via Awaji Island, but we’d love to visit again. We stayed here for a trip to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The staff’s hospitality, the meals, and the atmosphere were all outstanding. As I am pregnant, we truly appreciated your thoughtful consideration with the food. It was our first trip together in a while, and we were able to feel completely refreshed! This trip was to celebrate my mother’s birthday. She requested to see the Onsen she had visited with my late father during their honeymoon, and also the snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park. We chose this Accommodation because Reviews repeatedly mentioned the private family bath and a homey, relaxing atmosphere. True to the Reviews, it was a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place. The warm glow of washi paper lamps displayed throughout was beautiful, and we could feel the proprietress’s thoughtful care in every detail. And the food—absolutely delicious! Dinner just kept coming (laugh). Every dish was freshly made and served hot. The best of all was the kake soba hand-made by the chef that very morning. I love soba and visit many places, but I’m sorry—this was truly the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Breakfast also made us happy with piping-hot dashimaki tamago. The highlight of breakfast was the miso soup—I wanted to take home the whole pot. As we’ve gotten older, we choose our trips carefully based on both meals and Accommodation quality, and this place offered outstanding value for money. More than anything, we made unforgettable memories here. On our way out, I bought one of the lamps that were on display at the Accommodation as a gift for my mother. Thanks to you, it became the best birthday present possible. We’ll come again in winter—and again for her birthday next year too. In early autumn in Karuizawa, I was able to enjoy delicious cuisine in a quiet setting. I arrived a little early, before 3:00 p.m., tired from the drive, but the welcome drink was nicely chilled, and the florentines left in the room were crisp and delicious. Although it was close to central Karuizawa, it was a lovely auberge with an attractive exterior, surrounded by forest and offering a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Inside, while the doors, windows, and other fittings had a classic style, everything was kept clean and there were no issues with usability; the furniture and small decorative touches were also charming. The lighting fixtures had a lovely lamp-like design, but they were somewhat dim—I would have appreciated an additional light for reading. For dinner, I was disappointed that one of the two restaurants (Pyrenees) was closed, so I chose French cuisine at the main building instead. It was a French course with subtle Japanese influences and priced on the higher side at ¥22,000. The main dish was duck (a bit early for the season), though there may be room for improvement in its arrangement; however, the wine pairing selected for us matched beautifully. Dessert consisted of two carefully crafted dishes using seasonal fruit. Considering this attentive service as part of the experience—and given that prices have risen everywhere over the past year—I felt it couldn’t be helped. The bathroom had a Western-style tub along with a separate shower booth and was well equipped overall; however, as someone with a smaller build (and over 70), I found it slightly concerning that the tub floor felt slippery and deep/high without anything to hold onto when getting in or out. I would appreciate consideration for elderly guests. Overall, it had an elegant and relaxing atmosphere.

Since we reserved a detached Room, we were able to check in early and enjoy the open-air bath at the large public bath at our own pace. The Room was spacious and spotless, and above all, the charming open-air bath was outstanding. The meals were not only made with quality ingredients but also thoughtfully prepared with extra care, which we enjoyed to the very end. Every member of the guest room staff was pleasant, chatting with us in a friendly way while keeping a comfortable distance. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

We are always very satisfied with the pleasant hospitality, delicious meals, and relaxing Onsen. This time, we chose the teppanyaki dinner course for the first time, and it was delicious and very satisfying. It made us want to visit again right away, so as soon as we returned home, we promptly made our next Reservation. We look forward to staying with you again.

This long-established Ryokan had a calm atmosphere, and the garden was wonderful. Most notably, the in-room rock bath was so spacious that it felt almost too much for our family of three, and with free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source, we lost count of how many times we soaked. The meals were also carefully prepared; everything was delicious, especially the tasty rice—so good that our son, who usually never asks for seconds, did. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

Although we only stayed for just under six hours on a day trip this time, it was a soothing space where we could relax and feel refreshed after a long time. The full-course kaiseki dinner was beautifully presented with a seasonal touch and was absolutely delicious. Next time, we would definitely like to return for an overnight stay.

Spending time in the lovely garden with the mountainside glowing in the setting sun as a backdrop was truly relaxing. In addition to the warm welcome, both dinner and breakfast were satisfying, and the hot spring in harmony with nature was exceptional.

It was very clean and well maintained. The private open-air bath in the Room was wonderfully relaxing. Since it was summer and the Room was on the first floor, a few insects did drop by the open-air bath at night—part of the charm. If that bothers you, a morning soak is recommended. Having the toilet on a separate route from the shower room and washroom is very convenient when staying with multiple people. Overall, I think it’s a very good Hotel. The meals also felt just right in terms of variety.

I stayed here twice a few years ago, and I was truly happy to be able to return after a long time. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant, and I had a very relaxing stay. In particular, thank you to Mr./Ms. H (I’m using an initial as I’m not sure if it’s okay to share the name) who assisted with my check-in. One thing only: I used FORNI for both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, my meat was upgraded, but I wasn’t asked about my preferred doneness. At breakfast, we were told it would be a choice of main dish plus a semi-buffet, but later we were informed that choosing the Japanese set would not include the semi-buffet, which was a bit disappointing. Even so, this is truly a wonderful Hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

Everything was outstanding!! Nothing to complain about!! We will definitely stay again!! On the way home, we were already discussing when to make our next Reservation. The food in particular was truly delicious and wonderful.

We were very satisfied with both the Room and the meals. We have stayed at various Ryokan and Hotels considered fairly upscale, but here we especially felt every staff member’s genuine care and dedication to ensuring guests are happy—it was a wonderful experience. My wife also said she would like to come again.

All staff members checked in with us thoughtfully and attentively, which made our family’s stay very comfortable. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We will make a Reservation at the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto again for our next stay in Kyoto.

I planned a trip to Fukuoka as a birthday treat for myself, and I had a very comfortable stay at the Miyako Hotel. The Facility and Room were, of course, wonderful, but what I remember most is how courteous and kind all the staff were. Even as a foreign guest, they treated me warmly and gladly accommodated several requests. Thanks to them, it was truly a pleasant trip. I sincerely appreciate it.

The trip was originally planned because we were determined to see Nagano’s first National Treasure—the octagonal three-story pagoda at Anraku-ji Temple. We enjoyed the journey, visiting the footbath, Kitamuki Kannon Hall, and Anraku-ji, but when we returned home, the memories of Ryokan Hanaya came to mind first. From the hospitality and cuisine to the marble bath, the wood-rich architecture and signage, and even the staff attire at breakfast and dinner—every detail reflected a sincere commitment to putting guests first. It reminded us what true “omotenashi” really is. Fresh flowers were arranged throughout the property as well, which was wonderfully calming. Thanks to you, we had a truly memorable trip. My spouse and I stayed here as a couple. The jacuzzi on the balcony was wonderful. It felt like an open-air bath, and we could see the ocean—an amazing view. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights: sunbathing on the beach, then back to the jacuzzi, and meals of Chinese cuisine made with local ingredients. We had an incredible three days.
