I chose to stay here because of its charming atmosphere, and I was sure my husband would like it too. Before booking, I called to ask about the room amenities. The head chef handed the call over to a female staff member, but her tone felt a bit harsh, and for a moment I hesitated about staying. However, once we actually arrived, that impression completely changed. Everyone who assisted us during our stay was very warm and welcoming, with genuine hospitality, and there was nothing at all that concerned me. The property was spotless throughout, and the lounge was comfortable—I was able to relax at ease. Above all, the food was outstanding. Each dish was prepared with great care while considering harmony with soy sauce, and I could truly feel the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and passion behind the cooking. Although the dishes made excellent use of soy sauce flavors, they never left an overly salty aftertaste—even after finishing everything—and I enjoyed every bite until the end. Because dinner was so exceptional, I would have been even happier if breakfast had been a bit more substantial. Including not only the cuisine but also the atmosphere and overall comfort of the inn, it became a truly memorable stay. This is a place I would definitely like to return to.

This was my first stay here. From the moment I arrived at the Hotel, the staff’s hospitality at the entrance was so attentive that it’s impossible to compare with other hotels. When I entered my Room, it was spotless—not a speck of dust—and I was truly impressed by the outstanding skill of the housekeeping team. In the evening, I used in-room dining and had grilled vegetables, soup, and focaccia. Everything was absolutely delicious and genuinely moving. If you stay here, I highly recommend trying in-room dining. This time I booked a Plan with breakfast included, so I enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. There were three options to choose from, and I felt it’s a menu loved by guests of all ages. I traveled here from Tohoku, and it took quite a bit of time and money—but this was an exceptional Hotel that still made me think, “I want to stay here anyway!” Thank you very much for taking such great care of me during my stay.

We stayed here on the first night of our 4-night, 5-day trip to Toyama to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday—Toyama is her favorite place. There were three of us (mother and daughters), and since we don’t eat large portions, we were worried about whether we could finish a full auberge course meal. We contacted them in advance, and they kindly discussed various options with us. In the end, my mother was thrilled—she even finished not only her share but mine as well, enjoying crab that had just come into season. Every dish showcased outstanding craftsmanship, and we enjoyed the food served on beautiful tableware passed down through generations from the owner’s father and grandfather. They also prepared an 88th-birthday red vest (chanchanko) and hat for her, and the photos we took are a wonderful keepsake. The glass-walled bath with its breathtaking view was amazing, and thanks to their carefully chosen bedding, we slept very comfortably. It was satisfying in every way beyond just the cuisine. The owners are a truly warm and lovely couple, and it felt like the entire auberge was wrapped in that welcoming atmosphere.

Unfortunately it rained, but thanks to that we were able to relax at the inn on the day we arrived. As other reviews mentioned, the staff were wonderful—every single person greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service, so we had a very comfortable stay. The next day, when the rain let up, we were able to take a walk and enjoy Dogo Onsen. Above all, the meals were outstanding! Not only was the food delicious, but the tableware was beautiful as well—both my elderly father and I finished everything. It’s a bit far from Osaka so we can’t visit often, but this is an inn we would love to return to. Please continue being such a lovely place. The staff’s hospitality is truly top-notch!

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it turned into a truly wonderful stay. We don’t drink alcohol, and when we mentioned that, they kindly replaced the drinks in the Room refrigerator with non-alcoholic options. We really appreciated such thoughtful attention. At dinner, they also gave my husband a single rose as a birthday gift. We were deeply moved by this unexpected and lovely gesture, and it became a great birthday memory. From the open-air bath in our Room, we could look out over the lake—the view was absolutely stunning. Soaking in the open-air bath while enjoying the expansive scenery was incredibly relaxing, and being able to enjoy the Onsen at our own pace whenever we liked felt like a real luxury. Dinner was delicious as well—especially the pizza! It was so good that we ended up having two. If I had to mention one small concern, since it’s surrounded by nature there were quite a few insects. When we tried to use the open-air bath at night, many bugs (like stink bugs) had gathered there, so unfortunately we gave up bathing at that time. That said, I think that’s simply part of staying in such a natural setting. More than anything else, what stayed with us were the view from our Room, the Onsen, the food, and the staff’s warm hospitality. We were able to celebrate my husband’s birthday in a wonderful way and made lasting memories. Thank you very much.

Staying at an inn with only three rooms really made me realize how that allows them to serve truly exceptional cuisine. The room we stayed in, “Korin,” had the bath and washbasin located outside the main room, which was a bit inconvenient. However, it comes with a dedicated dining room, so you can focus on the meal right away without leaving your room—and each dish is served at exactly the right moment. It’s been a long time since I so strongly appreciated the happiness of eating hot food while it’s still hot. From the appetizer through the lidded dish and assorted starters to the grilled course, every item brought out the full flavor of its ingredients. The grilled steak in particular surprised me: I honestly didn’t have high expectations for Tochigi Wagyu (sorry!), but it was incredibly tender, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. To be frank, we went to a famous steak restaurant in Nikko for dinner the next day, and this steak easily held its own against their Maezawa beef. The finishing soba was also excellent—I regret not ordering a larger portion. They serve two dipping sauces, one warm and one cold; personally, I recommend the cold one. I’m attaching a photo of breakfast as well—breakfast was wonderful too. If I have another chance to visit, I’d love to stay in a different room next time. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was an even more wonderful hotel than we expected, and our stay—from arrival to departure—was satisfying from start to finish. As someone originally from Nagoya, the TV Tower has been familiar to me since childhood, though it has been 25 years since I left the city. I was truly surprised and moved that such a beautiful hotel had been created here. From the warm welcome on arrival, every member of staff was attentive and kind, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. This time, we were upgraded to a larger room as a Diamond member benefit—what a lovely surprise! The welcome sweets were adorable and absolutely delicious. The view from the room was outstanding, of course. The art displayed throughout the hotel was also captivating, giving the entire property its own unique atmosphere. There were new discoveries everywhere we walked, and we thoroughly enjoyed the art tour as well. Searching for artworks together as a couple became a fun memory too (laugh). And the night view from the observation deck—an exclusive perk for guests—was truly breathtaking! We could take in all of Nagoya’s nightscape at once, making it an unforgettable moment. The hidden-door entrance leading up to the deck was incredibly stylish; its playful touch made us genuinely excited. Breakfast lived up to its reputation—delicious in every way—and we enjoyed a luxurious, happy morning while taking in the amazing view. My wife loved it too and said, “No.1 among all the hotels we’ve ever stayed at!” We’re truly happy to have found a hotel that satisfied both of us wholeheartedly. Thanks to everyone’s heartfelt hospitality, our 25th wedding anniversary became a wonderful memory we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much to all of your staff for such an incredible experience. Whenever we visit Nagoya again, we would love to stay here again. We’re already looking forward to what kind of excitement awaits us next time!

This was my second visit this year, and it’s soothing no matter when I come. The service strikes just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy, the rooms are spacious, and the meals keep evolving—overall, it’s a place with an exceptionally high level of satisfaction. 　This time in particular, the breakfast—renewed since this spring—was outstanding. In contrast to the gorgeous French dinner, it’s a simple Japanese-style meal, but each dish is truly delicious. They’ve also changed how they cook the rice, and the finishing bowl topped with dashi was superb. 　I’m already looking forward to being impressed again on my next visit.

We stayed here for a family trip to celebrate a 60th birthday. The Room called “En” had wonderful views and beautiful furnishings, allowing us to forget everyday life and fully enjoy the relaxed pace of Amami. Above all, every meal was delicious, and we could really feel the care put into using local ingredients and pesticide-free produce—it was outstanding.

We chose this property because we wanted a room with a private bath and were also attracted by the lounge, and it exceeded our expectations. The entire property and our room were spotless and beautiful, and we were especially impressed by the wonderful service from all of the staff. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again.

This Accommodation overlooks a dam lake and the surrounding forest. All you see is nature—no signs of people in the landscape. There is an open, panoramic bath. With a roof and glass doors that can be closed, it may not be a true open-air bath in the strict sense, but it is very comfortable. All-inclusive, including draft beer after bathing. There’s a great selection of quality alcohol, and plenty of snacks as well. You’re free to take them back to your Room. I like their generosity. It’s perfect for an easygoing stay-in retreat. The Room isn’t overly large, but the toilet and washbasin area are spacious enough that it doesn’t feel cramped. Dining in a booth draped with long noren curtains while looking out at the scenery is truly gourmet dining in every sense of the word. The staff seem few in number, but everything runs efficiently with no wasted movement. Alcohol here is also free-flowing—it feels great. It’s quiet at night. At checkout, there was naturally nothing to pay at the counter—clean and simple—and I left thinking how much fun it was. My rating is subjective: I gave “value for money” a 3 (as expected for the price).

From arrival by car to departure, we had a very pleasant stay. All the staff were cheerful and very kind, and the meals were excellent. When we left by car, it was especially memorable that they kept waving until we were out of sight. We would definitely like to stay again.

Needless to say, the Facility, amenities, and meals were wonderful—but above all, the hospitality was outstanding! From arrival to check-out, we received truly exceptional service. We chose this Accommodation mainly to visit Inuyama Castle, but next time we want to stay here as the main purpose of our trip. Thank you very much for everything.

I previously stayed here with my 4-year-old daughter, and while I was a little nervous about our first trip with a young child, we had a wonderful time—delicious meals and a clean Room, and we were very satisfied throughout our stay. This time, my husband was able to join us. The meals were different from last time but just as delicious as ever, and since we chose the largest Room, my daughter was thrilled. What made me especially happy was that the washing area in the women’s bath has been expanded! All of the staff were very kind, and we had a comfortable stay. We will definitely stay again as a family.

I’d been wanting to visit the Zushi–Hayama area for some time, and this was a hotel I’d had my eye on. We stayed to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they thoughtfully arranged champagne in our ocean-view room along with a beautiful flower arrangement and other special touches—he was absolutely delighted. They also informed us about the spa in advance, so we quickly prepared swimsuits and were able to use it. The water temperature was very comfortable, and they even offered complimentary drinks, which made it feel like a wonderful escape from everyday life. We requested dinner from 5:00 p.m., and while watching the sunset we were able to relax and truly savor the meal, feeling the chef’s passion in every dish. The service staff were also gentle and gracious, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. We slept soundly at night, woke up refreshed in the morning, and enjoyed a lovely walk by the sea. We ordered breakfast via room service as well, which allowed us to take our time and unwind. My husband praised everything as beyond his expectations and would love to stay again. Thank you very much for your attentive hospitality. If I had to mention one small point: I felt the TV might be positioned a bit low.

During our trip to explore Kumano, we stayed at Aoki Shima no Yado Kumano Bettei Nakanoshima. What impressed us first was how smoothly everything was handled from the moment we arrived. At the parking area by the port waiting lounge, we simply gave our name and a staff member guided our car for us, and we were able to complete check-in right there in the lounge. The sea viewed from the port was exactly as the inn’s name suggests—truly an “azure sea.” We were moved by its beauty as soon as we arrived. As explained in advance, it takes about five minutes to reach the property by private boat from the port. Even this short boat ride felt like a special touch that made it wonderfully out of the ordinary. Throughout our stay, what stood out most was the high level of hospitality from all staff members. Everyone seemed well trained, and their service was both polite and naturally warm. With the Kumano Kodo registered as a World Heritage site, it seems visitors come from all over the world, and it was impressive to see how confidently and appropriately they assisted international guests as well. What I had been looking forward to most on this trip was the open-air bath. Just as rumored, it’s an incredibly open and relaxing rotenburo with sweeping ocean views right in front of you. From 3:00 p.m., we took our time enjoying the hot springs while listening to the sound of waves—an indulgent experience indeed. Since the men’s and women’s baths alternate daily, we also enjoyed the other open-air bath starting at 6:00 a.m. The hot spring in crisp morning air felt especially refreshing. The meals were also excellent—many delicious dishes making great use of local ingredients—allowing us to fully enjoy flavors unique to Kumano. The staff member assigned to our table provided attentive service throughout, so we could relax and enjoy every moment of dinner. It takes about five hours by car from our home, so it isn’t easy for us to visit often—but even so, this is a wonderful place where we would love to stay again. This trip combined sightseeing at Seiganto-ji Temple, shrines in Kumano, Nachi Falls, and our stay on Nakanoshima into one truly memorable journey. We are grateful for the beautiful sea views, outstanding open-air baths, delicious cuisine—and above all—for everyone’s heartfelt hospitality. If you’re considering a trip to the Kumano area, I highly recommend this property.

This Accommodation has become more upscale in recent years and is now a bit of a splurge for me, so I visited this time to take advantage of a great deal. As always, the Onsen was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. I was also happy that you remembered my various requests from previous stays. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality again—I’d love to visit again when I find another opportunity.

I visited Shiobara Onsen with my 84-year-old mother from Taiwan on a family trip. The inn is quiet and cozy, with only 11 rooms. Thanks to the staff’s warm hospitality, my mother felt at ease throughout our stay. Dinner was a kaiseki meal made with seasonal ingredients, and this time we chose the rare soft-shelled turtle course. I was surprised when they even served soft-shelled turtle blood, but it became a memorable food experience unique to traveling. The hot springs are 100% free-flowing from the source. We stayed in the “Izumo” room, a spacious guest room overlooking the Hoki River, with both an open-air bath and an indoor bath. The two private reservable baths were also large and beautiful, and what impressed me most was that my mother could enjoy the hot springs without worrying about others. The scenery, cuisine, hot springs, and hospitality were all wonderful—an unforgettable set of memories with my mother.

In a word, we truly had a wonderful time. The private hot spring in the room, the ocean view from it, the hospitality of all the staff, and the delicious meals. It was an experience that led us to find a place we genuinely want to return to for the first time.
