I was looking for a Hotel around Lake Toya where I could stay with my dog, and chose this Hotel— it was truly an outstanding experience. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptionally delicious, and I was completely satisfied. The facilities were clean and modern, and all the staff were wonderful. The only thing I noticed was that although you should be able to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Toya from the bath, the outside view was blocked for privacy reasons. That part was a little disappointing. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we had a very comfortable stay with our dog. I would love to visit again!

It was my first time staying here, and it was excellent. I stayed with my dog, and the log cabin was very clean, odor-free, and comfortable. They came right away to explain how to use the BBQ, and their guidance was very thorough. The BBQ meat was delicious, and there was plenty of food—very satisfying. I would love to stay again.

At IKYU, it was categorized as casual, but we enjoyed a luxurious Onsen experience that felt like staying at a private villa. The Room had a spacious washroom, and the toilet being separate was also convenient. The heater in the Room was turned on in advance, so we stayed warm without needing to use the air conditioner. Various thoughtful touches were noticeable throughout, and I heard that adjustments are made regularly. It had such a pleasant atmosphere that made us wish to stay longer. Here are some points of concern: It would be helpful if spare foot mats were provided for the private bath so they can be replaced after use. The abundance of wash towels was very convenient. A single fresh flower in the Room would add charm since there were flowers in the dining area. During meal service, providing more details about local ingredients or cooking methods would be appreciated by travelers—it may require extra effort from staff but makes for enjoyable conversations while savoring meals. Having a menu list would also enhance the dining experience further.

We stayed for two nights with three generations, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including a history museum that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), so every generation can have a great time. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy both the places we visited this time as well. We enjoyed the pool for over two hours, and it was a very satisfying stay for our children. The Room had a calm interior, and we were able to relax. The all-inclusive drinks and light snacks were delicious, and this has become one of our favorite Accommodations. We would love to come back again.

I was worried about the heat, but the temperature dropped at just the right time, making for a very pleasant stay. There was no mention of it at check-in, but it seems our Room was upgraded, and I was truly impressed by how spacious and beautiful it was. The afternoon tea and breakfast were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff were extremely kind, so we could stay comfortably. I definitely want to stay here again. While Accommodations with Onsen and breakfast and dinner included are wonderful, we were hoping for a stay that felt more like living locally. We stayed as a couple, and the simple layout—kitchen, dining area, bedroom, toilet, and shower—was impressive and made for a very comfortable stay. The owner’s mural was gentle and blended beautifully with the interior, creating a lovely atmosphere. We were told that in winter all rooms have underfloor heating so you can stay comfortable even in short sleeves, so we’d love to visit again in another season. There’s an OGINO supermarket nearby as well as a butcher shop; we enjoyed basashi and relaxed with Yamanashi wine (the kitchen knife wasn’t very sharp, but honestly it felt safer that way). Partway through our stay, the owner stopped by to check on us and shared stories about life at Lake Yamanaka—more than anything else, that became our favorite memory and made us feel at ease. It was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

We arrived by car, and even in the heat we were greeted before we even reached the entrance. Sometimes you’re welcomed after arriving at the entrance, or staff are stationed at the entrance to greet you—but this time they were already waiting out front. Isn’t that almost too wonderful? The welcome drink was delicious as well. This time we chose a lower grade and stayed in the Residence building. Getting from the Main building to the Residence requires walking a short distance outside, so it might be a concern on rainy days. There are also a few stairs, but staff will carry your luggage, so it shouldn’t be an issue. There is a private Onsen along the way, so for those who plan to use it, staying in the Residence may actually be more convenient. The Room was spacious enough. Our pre-requested baby cot, diaper bin, baby bath, etc., were already set up in the Room, so families with babies can stay with peace of mind. The indoor bath is an Onsen with free-flowing natural spring water in the Room. The temperature was perfect—absolutely wonderful. The BVLGARI amenities were also great. Breakfast was delicious, and the portions were just right—more than enough. As for the cuisine overall, I think the chef’s skill is outstanding. At dinner service most guests dress neatly, so for men it’s better to wear something with a collar to match the atmosphere. On our first stay last time we didn’t know what to expect and dressed too casually—lesson learned. Shorts and a T-shirt would probably still be fine; this is simply about maintaining the overall ambiance. The outer-side seating likely has better views, but if you have children I recommend sitting on the lobby side—you don’t have to worry as much about others there, which really helps. If your baby starts crying hard nonstop (as babies do), you can simply step out. I’m very interested in dinner as well, but with a baby we couldn’t use it considering the atmosphere—hopefully someday. The evening ambiance is wonderful. Service is excellent as expected—from checkout through seeing us off was superb—and I honestly wonder if there is any Accommodation that surpasses this one. Given today’s times I imagine staff training must be challenging everywhere, but this Accommodation’s hospitality stands out as truly exceptional. Thank you to all staff members and chefs alike. I stayed in a newly renovated Room, and it was wonderful. The in-room perks were excellent. In particular, the all-you-can-eat gelato was an incredibly generous service—perfect after the Onsen—and I enjoyed trying many different flavors. Everything was delicious. The pre-dinner aperitif can be chosen from the menu, and the lounge coffee machine is truly high-quality, so I used it many times. Both the quality and quantity of the meals were very satisfying, and what impressed me most was the staff. There were many young team members, but everyone’s hospitality was outstanding. Some staff members spent a long time chatting with elderly guests because they were approached for conversation, yet they responded without showing any displeasure at all—I was genuinely impressed. You can also enjoy two different types of Onsen water, and I think this Accommodation offers excellent value for money. I will definitely return again. I always spend the summer in Hokkaido, and this time I visited Niseko again after a long time. Niseko seems to have changed quite a bit recently, and I chose this place because I wanted to see what it’s like now while also sensing an atmosphere somewhat like Karuizawa. The Hotel Room had a spacious layout that I really loved, and the Onsen was amazing—open 24 hours with free-flowing natural spring water. Dinner, one of the true highlights of traveling, was also outstanding. It was my first time having a chef prepare and serve each dish fresh right in front of me, and I truly enjoyed such a luxurious meal. The service was attentive down to the smallest details, and I was deeply impressed. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay here again.

Despite making a last-minute Reservation the day before, we received heartfelt hospitality and thoughtful attention, and were able to relax and truly unwind. Not only were the Room and meals wonderful, but the Onsen was exceptional as well, helping us forget our everyday fatigue and feel refreshed in both body and mind. Throughout our stay, we could feel the Ryokan team’s spirit of hospitality in every detail, which made us very happy. Thanks to you, it became a memorable and wonderful trip. It was my first time visiting Rebun Island. I arrived before check-in, but the staff stored my luggage at the port and even carried it to my Room. The view from the Room was amazing, and I was deeply moved by the beauty of Mt. Rishiri (Rishiri Fuji). The next day, I was able to rent a car, and they also kept my luggage until departure the following day. The meals were fresh and delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful. I also joined an early-morning guest tour and learned more about Rebun Island. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality—it made my stay truly comfortable.

Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. At check-in, the front desk staff kindly and thoroughly explained the in-house Facilities and services, which allowed us to start our stay with complete peace of mind. My wife has a shellfish allergy, and we are truly grateful that the restaurant’s head chef thoughtfully adjusted the menu for us. In particular, dinner on the second night was even more outstanding than the first, and we were deeply moved by the extra care put into each dish. While we were taking photos inside the property, a seasoned and very kind staff member noticed us and spoke to us. They gladly took photos for us, thanks to which we were able to keep wonderful memories of our trip. We are foreigners and can hardly speak Japanese. Even so, throughout our stay we received warm, attentive service that made us forget any language barrier. This stay reminded me once again of what I felt when I first visited a Japanese Ryokan years ago: uniquely Japanese hospitality that truly cherishes travelers and makes them feel as safe and comfortable as if they were at home. It is truly an excellent Ryokan. We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you again for such a wonderful time.

The Room, room service, meals, and Onsen were all truly wonderful—we were completely satisfied with our stay! Thank you very much to all the staff. The pajama fabric was soft and very comfortable to wear, so I bought a set as a souvenir. I’d love to come back again as a treat for myself.

This was our first stay here, and among all the places we’ve visited, it was the best Accommodation for Western-style cuisine. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality from welcome to farewell. The Room (very relaxing) and the bath (the in-room bath was more than enough) were both excellent. Above all, the meals were outstanding—both dinner and breakfast. Each dish was beautifully presented (including the tableware) and delicious, and we were amazed by how many items there were in the Japanese breakfast (we finished everything). We will definitely visit again during the autumn foliage season. One request: it would be nice to have body wash towels available in the bath area.

We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

My friend and I stayed here to enjoy the outlet shopping. The Reviews were excellent, so we chose this Hotel instead of one inside the outlet—and it was absolutely the right decision! The room was spacious and relaxing, with a very comfortable double bed. The amenities were wonderfully well stocked, and we were truly impressed by the large, easy-to-use bathroom. For dinner we chose teppanyaki, which was outstanding. We were more than satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the ingredients, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine as well. If I could make just one request: after relaxing in the bath and before dinner, it would be even better if there were a place where we could enjoy an aperitif. Both the Facility and service were impeccable, and we had a very satisfying stay. Thank you very much—we would definitely love to stay again next time.

I chose this Accommodation because of its high ratings, but it exceeded my expectations—one pleasant surprise after another. Some places these days feel short-staffed, but here the service from the kimono-clad staff was outstanding, and they answered every question warmly and perfectly. I was deeply moved after finishing in two days the biography of the first founder (the proprietress’s mother), written by the current proprietress—I ended up buying a copy. The building was filled with artworks and gorgeous fresh flowers, with thoughtful touches everywhere that anticipated every need. At breakfast and again at the entrance when we departed, the proprietress greeted us with a warm smile; her mother’s teachings clearly live on here. Niigata isn’t easy for us to visit from Kanto, but I truly want to come back with my family.

The hospitality and the restaurant cuisine were outstanding in every respect. Their attentive, courteous communication before our stay left a strong impression, and on the day of our visit, everyone—from the seasoned staff to the younger team members—provided genuinely pleasant service. If you want a reliably excellent experience in Karuizawa, HIRAMATSU is without doubt the place to choose.

We stayed here for a family trip during the Obon holidays. They kindly provided taxi pick-up and drop-off to Nagano Station, which was very helpful. The staff were attentive, and the facility was clean and pleasant, making our stay truly relaxing. The meals were also excellent. We would love to visit again in a different season.
