In the wonderful space created by the owners, we were able to spend a truly relaxing and restorative time. Enjoying their thoughtfully prepared dishes—down to the seasonings—paired with local sake and served in locally made tableware was a real luxury... The journey there, transferring between local trains and buses, also became a memorable part of our trip. We would love to visit again someday in a different season. Thank you very much for such a lovely time.

This was my first stay in Yufuin, and I chose this Accommodation. The staff’s hospitality was very pleasant, and both dinner and breakfast were a delight—each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it a truly blissful time. The Onsen was wonderful as well; after bathing, my skin felt silky smooth. Another Accommodation I’d love to visit again has been added to my list.

I have stayed here many times. Although it is an older Accommodation, the Room and baths are always kept very clean, which makes for a very pleasant stay. The staff are attentive and considerate while maintaining a comfortable sense of distance—truly a wonderful Accommodation. The early-summer dishes this time were also delicious. They looked refreshing and beautifully presented. I would love to visit again in winter. Thank you very much.

Since dinner isn’t included, there is a shuttle bus to and from the Kanazawa Station area, which makes it easy to go out to eat. Even though it’s one Room, the bath and toilet are in the middle, so it feels like the space is divided, which I liked. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options; the Kanazawa curry is delicious, and there are plenty of side dishes too—it's a luxurious breakfast that I really enjoyed. As soon as you enter the Hotel entrance, it smells wonderful, which I loved. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Kanazawa.

I stayed here for a concert trip this time. Because of the concert end time and traffic, I didn’t arrive until 9:00 PM, and I ended up getting to dinner very late, but you welcomed me with a smile and I had a wonderful time. Breakfast was also delicious, and since I had some time before checkout, I was able to take a walk in Kenrokuen Garden across the street. The location is excellent, and above all, every staff member was smiling and seemed genuinely happy—I would definitely like to stay here again the next time I visit Kanazawa. This was my third stay, and every time I’m amazed by the thoughtful attention shown to guests. Even though I was traveling solo and only had breakfast included, I was treated so warmly, which I truly appreciate. As soon as I parked, a staff member came right out and carried my luggage for me. I even had a laptop with me, so it was quite heavy, but they carried it cheerfully and with great care. A staff member I’d spoken with before remembered my name and kindly took the time to greet me even while busy cleaning—it made me very happy. Last time, when Kanaru suddenly wandered off, they gently reassured me by saying, “It’s because a staff member who gives him treats just walked by,” which really warmed my heart. This time I got to pet him a lot, and I was also glad to hear more stories about Kanaru. Even late at night when heading toward the parking lot, there were staff members at the front desk and near the entrance/exit area, which made me feel safe. At breakfast as well, the pleasant greetings and guidance put me in a great mood, and having someone serve rice and miso soup made me feel at ease—I didn’t have to worry about spilling anything. I also overheard them telling another guest, “A window seat has opened up—would you like to move over?” and it really showed how much they want guests to be happy. (I understand this depends on timing and available seating.) At checkout too, they carried my heavy luggage all the way to my car—I was impressed until the very end. There were countless other thoughtful touches and support that I can’t possibly list them all. The more I visit, the more comfortable it feels here. Among Accommodations with high Reviews online there are some where you wonder why—but this place is the opposite. I honestly think 5.00 would be fair; in reality it exceeds its Reviews! As soon as I got home, I already wanted to come back again.

It was my first visit in a while, and once again the Onsen was wonderful—I thoroughly enjoyed soaking in two different natural hot spring sources. The meals were delicious and very satisfying. The guests were considerate, and it was very quiet, so I could truly relax. The staff were kind as well, and I recommend this place to anyone who likes a small, cozy property. Thank you for taking such good care of me. I will visit again.

I stayed for a total of two nights and was able to work comfortably. There was a desk and chair, and the chair was comfortable to sit in. From noon, there was a time when I could enjoy sweets, tea, coffee, and more, and from the evening there was a time when I could enjoy alcohol and snacks—making for a pleasant change of pace between work sessions.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. My spouse and I stayed on June 19. The building was old, but it was well maintained, and the courtyard after the rain in the morning was lovely. All of the meals were delicious, and we both finished everything. The staff were also very pleasant. We were able to visit Amanohashidate, which we had wanted to see for a long time, and fully enjoy Kyoto by the Sea. Thank you very much.

I visited to relax with my daughter, who has just started her first job. On the day, we were picked up by the Shuttle Service to the athletic park. We didn’t have to wait long, and the careful driving made it very comfortable. The Room was lovely, and the night view was amazing. The meals were delicious, and the tableware was beautiful as well. We were very satisfied. Next time, we’ll visit in a different season.

We visited during Golden Week for a birthday trip. From the warm welcome to the lounge, Room, baths, and meals, everything throughout our stay was wonderful and made it a truly unforgettable trip. The view from the Room was beautiful, and we were able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time. Every dish was genuinely delicious; even though the portions were generous, it was so good that I finished everything for the first time. All of the staff were consistently kind and attentive, which made our entire stay very comfortable. We also went to an outside bath, but it was quite crowded—so much so that we felt completely satisfied with just the Ryokan’s baths. In particular, the in-Room bath had perfect temperature and excellent water quality, and it was incredibly soothing. I’ve been traveling about once every two months for many years, but this is the first Ryokan that truly made me think, “I definitely want to come back.” Next time, I’d love to visit during crab season. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

My stay after four months was blessed with beautiful weather, and I was able to relax while taking in the breathtaking ocean views at the end of summer. The greatest charm of Umi no Shogetsu is the elegant time you can enjoy while staying in your Room. The sea stretches out beyond the window, and inside there is stylish furniture and a spacious layout—so you can soak in an open-air bath while admiring the spectacular view without ever leaving your Room. Meals are prepared in the dining area rather than served in-room, so after dining you can return to your Room right away and unwind in your own private space. If I want to be active—exploring or trying experiences—a City Hotel, or even a Business Hotel, feels functional and suits me. But when I want to truly savor time itself, I find myself wanting to visit Umi no Shogetsu. The monthly seasonal kaiseki crafted by the head chef is delicate and exceptionally delicious. I also appreciate the staff’s subtle warmth that never intrudes on privacy. The lovely flowers arranged throughout the property—sometimes charming, sometimes beautifully vibrant—are wonderful as well. Thank you always for everything. We will visit again to enjoy our own luxurious time here. Thank you very much.

This Hotel is perfect in every way—from the Room size and hospitality to all services and cleanliness. It was the best Hotel I have ever stayed at. I felt the price could easily be twice as high. Above all, it was calm and relaxing, with only Japanese adults staying there, which helped me truly unwind. I would love to visit again.

It was a very satisfying trip to Shirahama. This Accommodation is in an excellent location, close to Shirarahama Beach. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and we were very satisfied. We love Onsen, so we were happy with the large public bath here. The food was delicious as well. All the staff were attentive and helpful—thank you very much. It was an Accommodation that exceeded its price. We were also blessed with good weather and could relax at our leisure. It’s an Accommodation that makes us want to come again.

I originally made a Reservation at “Nene no Michi Bettei,” but due to a change in Room allocation, I ended up staying at Hotel VMG Kyoto Kamogawa. From check-in to check-out, I was deeply impressed by the staff’s impeccable attention to detail and thoughtful hospitality. Sleeping in the bedroom while gazing up at the coffered ceiling felt like an “exceptional escape from everyday life.” At the paid lounge, alcohol and other drinks are available free-flow, with snacks as well—it truly feels like a private lounge. Because the property preserves the character of a historic building, soundproofing is not perfect; however, it more than makes up for it with an elegant, nostalgic atmosphere. The Japanese-style room next to the bedroom overlooks a small courtyard garden and offers a wonderfully atmospheric view that made time feel as if it passed more slowly. That said, perhaps because the air conditioning does not reach this room easily, I found the heat noticeable. Although it would involve additional cost, lending spot coolers or simple heaters to guests upon request during limited seasons (summer/winter) could help make better use of this room and may also become a new experiential highlight—especially for international travelers. I’m truly grateful to all of the staff for giving me such an extraordinary stay. This is a Hotel I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an “indescribably exceptional escape from everyday life.”

This is a small Ryokan with a strong sense of history, and as soon as you step through the entrance, you are welcomed by a classic Japanese Ryokan that blends beautifully with nature. The attentive service from the staff and the view of Kakusenkei Gorge from the Room made for a wonderful welcome. The Onsen is also small, but it was calm and very relaxing. Most impressive of all was the dining experience—every detail, from the food to the presentation and tableware, was outstanding. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to.

This was our second stay. Just like last time, the foreign staff were truly wonderful. They greeted our children with big smiles and treated them with great kindness and care. We will definitely come again next year!

The guest room and open-air bath were spacious and comfortable, and thanks to the staff’s natural attentiveness and thoughtful care, we had a truly relaxing stay. Breakfast in particular was excellent, featuring plenty of local ingredients, with each dish carefully prepared. It was beautifully presented as well, making for a luxurious start to the day. We did not have dinner this time, but after being so impressed by the breakfast and the hospitality, we would love to enjoy dinner on our next visit. It was a wonderful stay that will remain a cherished memory—the best Ryokan Accommodation we have ever stayed at.

We visited again this summer vacation at everyone’s request. The Room was spacious, there was a dome, and even a pool—and the kids could get excited without being scolded (haha). There were massage chairs, and every Room had a TV where we could watch YouTube and more. They also prepared plenty of delicious coffee for us. We enjoyed an amazing feast until we were completely full, plus a surprise cake. The yokai quiz, late-night udon, running around on the lawn, and taking a bath while looking at countless stars and a beautiful moon—there’s nowhere else this close by where both adults and children can be so satisfied! We were also happy that everyone remembered our favorite staff member we see every year. We were told it was their day off and said how disappointing that was—then they surprised us by coming to greet us the next morning before we left. The kids were thrilled to hand over the letters they brought and to chat together! Thanks to your warm hospitality, we made wonderful summer vacation memories again this year. Thank you very much.
