Even though we only stay two or three times a year, we’re always welcomed so warmly, which makes us very happy. This time, we chose a Plan that included Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial, and we were able to enjoy an elegant and refreshing time. We are always truly grateful to the lounge staff, and it’s genuinely fun to chat with everyone. Although Mr./Ms. A is no longer assigned to the lounge, they kindly came by to see us anyway, and I was delighted to catch up. This visit also brought a wonderful encounter with new staff members (Mr. Y and Mr. S). Both were attentive in every detail, and their friendly conversation made our time in the lounge relaxing and enjoyable. Of course, it was also great to see Mr./Ms. M and Mr./Ms. T as always. We truly love spending time at The Royal Park Hotel. When you say “Welcome back,” it makes us want to reply “We’re home!”—a Hotel that makes us want to return again and again. The restaurants are all excellent—teppanyaki, tempura, and Chinese—and the chefs’ and staff’s service is wonderful as well. The location is fantastic, so we enjoy strolling around the neighborhood or visiting local spots of interest; but no matter how many times we come, The Royal Park Hotel never feels repetitive. We especially love simply relaxing here—these stays have become precious healing time for my spouse and me. Thank you always for everything.

After reading other guests’ Reviews, I learned that the bathroom and toilet are separate and that there is a shower chair, so I made a Reservation. I had been standing for a long time at my favorite artist’s concert, and it was extremely hot, so by the time I got back to the Hotel I was exhausted, but I was able to relax in the bath and soothe my fatigue with a bath salt I chose on the 1st floor (it said it helps you sleep well). The next day, since checkout isn’t until 12:00 p.m., I could take it easy—going out for breakfast and enjoying a morning bath. There was also a coffee machine next to the amenities on the 1st floor, and I appreciated being able to drink coffee freely. I’d like to stay again.

We were very satisfied with the Room, where we could enjoy warm hospitality and a relaxing stay. The cuisine, featuring an abundance of ingredients from Fukui Prefecture, was also excellent. It is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

Perhaps because we stayed on a weekday when there were fewer guests, we were able to enjoy a calm and relaxing time. It was quiet and surrounded by the sounds of nature, and even our senior dog could play to their heart’s content. The meals also reflect a dedicated commitment to gastrotourism, showcasing great care and impressive skill. With only the essential services provided, we appreciated the kindness of being given space to relax freely.

This was my first stay at Suishoen, and it was truly wonderful. For dinner, we happened to be offered an open slot, so they kindly changed our meal from kaiseki to teppanyaki. We chose teppanyaki, and it turned out to be absolutely the right decision. Watching the chef cook right in front of us was entertaining in itself, and each dish was carefully prepared—everything was genuinely delicious. Not only the meat, but also the seafood and vegetables were excellent, and we enjoyed every course without getting tired of it. The pacing of the meal was perfect, and the portions were just right—not too much or too little—so we could enjoy everything through to the end. Breakfast was also very luxurious with a great variety of dishes. Being able to enjoy such a substantial breakfast in the morning felt special, and it was a completely different kind of indulgent time compared with our usual mornings. Not only dinner but breakfast left a strong impression as well. The best part for me personally was the private Onsen in our Room. I could soak whenever I wanted and relax without worrying about anyone else, so I ended up using it many times. Having an Onsen in your Room really is unbeatable. The Ryokan had a calm atmosphere overall, and we were able to take things slowly throughout our stay. The staff were polite and attentive, responding pleasantly to everything we asked for. It’s an Accommodation I’d want to stay at again if I come back to Hakone. The only small issue was that my wife didn’t find the hair iron among the amenities suitable for her. That part was slightly disappointing, but aside from that we were very satisfied. Overall satisfaction was high across the food, Onsen, Room quality, and service—highly recommended if you want a luxurious place to unwind at a relaxed pace. We will definitely stay again.

I stayed here to enjoy the Kojohama Onsen. The interior has been renovated and was beautifully maintained, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. With a limited number of guest rooms, it felt quiet and unhurried—very different from a large Hotel. The Onsen was excellent and helped me unwind after traveling. Day-use bathing is also available, but staying overnight lets you enjoy the Onsen at a more leisurely pace. The staff were courteous, making for a very comfortable stay. This Accommodation is recommended for those who prefer a peaceful setting over the glamour of large Hotels, and want to truly enjoy the Onsen and the stay itself.

When I opened the window, I had a great view of Mt. Bizan right in front of me. The front desk staff were also very helpful. I would like to stay here again when I visit Tokushima.

The Accommodation has a nostalgic, retro feel while still being very stylish and lovely. This time we stayed in the “Japanese Twin with Terrace” Room—tatami flooring, low beds, and a deck terrace. What impressed me most was how comfortable the bed was! I was told it’s a Nishikawa Muatsu mattress, and it truly felt amazing—I slept unbelievably well. The pillow was also excellent, and I completely fell in love with the bedding. I’d like to use the same one at home, so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me which type of Muatsu it is. The Onsen was wonderful as well. All three private baths had their own unique charm and were beautiful. The large public bath was also very relaxing—I ended up going in many times during our stay. As soon as you soak in the Onsen, your body warms up right away. The water feels soft, and your skin becomes moisturized and silky smooth. I also loved that bath towels were provided at the baths, so you can always use a clean one. Truly excellent therapeutic bathing. Unfortunately it rained this time—but because of that, we were able to take our time at the Accommodation, soak in the Onsen slowly, and enjoy doing nothing. We chose a Plan with 12:00 checkout, so we didn’t have to rush in the morning and could enjoy the Onsen until the very end. And then—the meals. Absolutely no complaints. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It was a meal where you can truly enjoy every course for what it is. And something I’ll never forget: draft Yebisu beer! After it arrived, the foam gradually rose up into a rich head—it looked delicious even before tasting. And when I tried it… it really was incredible. I honestly thought there aren’t many places where draft beer tastes this good—it moved me. This “Joshu Beef & Gunma’s Blessings / Three Free Private Open-Air Baths / 12:00 Checkout / A Nostalgic Holiday” Plan was absolutely perfect for me. Shima Onsen in the rain is wonderful too. Soak in the Onsen, eat well, drink well—and sleep incredibly well. In this charming retro Accommodation, I had an amazing time that relaxed both my mind and body. All of the staff were pleasant as well, and the overall atmosphere throughout the Accommodation felt very comfortable. We felt great from start to finish during our stay. The Onsen, meals, bedding—and above all else—the warm hospitality from everyone on staff. Everything felt so comfortable that this is an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again.

Searched for Accommodation with an open-air bath in the Room The Room was exactly what we wanted, and we had a wonderful holiday—no need to carry bath items or a change of clothes to the large public bath, and we could enjoy the Onsen whenever we liked. We chose a Plan with breakfast only. The dried horse mackerel was very delicious. For us, who can’t eat that much, it was just the right amount. Enjoying coffee in the lounge while taking in the lovely view overlooking the harbor was also wonderful. Although it felt like being nestled in the woods, we didn’t see any insects. It was a lovely Accommodation that we would like to use again.

I think this Accommodation is perfect for a stay during the Gion Festival. I also enjoyed both the Italian and Japanese cuisine. Watching a maiko dance during my stay became a wonderful memory—thank you very much. It seems that, in exchange for opening the lounge, the drinks in the refrigerator have been limited to mineral water only. However, because the lounge has short opening hours, it was not very convenient. I usually stay at Hiramatsu-level Accommodations, but this was the first time I had to buy sparkling mineral water at a convenience store during my stay. That said, it is still a great Accommodation, and I would be happy to stay again.

I stayed here last year and had a great experience, so this was my second visit—and I was very satisfied! First of all, all the front desk staff were very kind. The pillow bar was also much appreciated. This time I noticed that the large public bath has three types of showerheads to choose from, which was fun. The bed mattress was very comfortable as well, but the sound from the air conditioning or possibly the bathroom ventilation fan? was a bit loud and bothered me during the night. Shower caps were only available in the large public bath, but I wanted to use one for showering or washing my face in my Room too, so I wish they were available at the amenities bar. However, when I asked at check-in this time, a kind front desk staff member brought me one. Breakfast is always plentiful as well. I enjoyed various kinds of tempura and takikomi gohan even in the morning. It’s right in front of Kyoto Station, but since it’s a small Hotel, there aren’t any noisy tour groups, which is a relief. The next day I stayed at a certain Resort Hotel in Osaka (priced at 2.5 times this one), but in terms of amenities and provided shampoo and other toiletries, this Hotel was actually better. If you’re not looking for on-site restaurants, a spa, or a gym and just want Accommodation with good value for money, I think this place is excellent.

It was a Hotel in a quiet setting on a refreshing highland plateau, and I found it very relaxing. However, it felt like repairs to the road damaged during winter were a bit delayed, so it’s best to watch out for bumps and uneven surfaces. The Room does feel old, but it was very thoroughly cleaned and I had a comfortable stay. The bath and changing area were spacious, and I was able to soak slowly as if I had the place to myself. The hot pot dinner was delicious and went perfectly with alcohol—I was very satisfied. Breakfast was also enjoyable. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again if I have the chance.

From the open-air bath on the balcony, we could see the ocean and relax while listening to the sound of the waves. The Onsen water felt silky and pleasant, and it left my skin looking great. My husband, who used to dislike Onsen, ended up loving it. The portions at dinner and breakfast were so large that it was overwhelming—though it might be perfect for big eaters.

My spouse and I visited Wakasa for the first time from Tokyo. A hidden Accommodation quietly nestled in a very peaceful fishing village. From our Room, the beautiful Sea of Japan stretched out below us. Listening to the waves crashing against the rocks, we enjoyed a truly luxurious time watching the sun slowly sink into the endless horizon. The view from the bath was also outstanding. The meal was a kaiseki course featuring plenty of fresh local fish and vegetables, and we were left speechless by the rich flavors—something you could never experience in the city. We were able to fully enjoy everything Wakasa has to offer. We look forward to staying again.

It was pleasant that everything—from the lobby and hallways to inside the elevator—was covered with tatami mats. Right after check-in, we were welcomed with cold matcha tea, which was a nice touch. Both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room across the hallway. The simmered kinki (rockfish) was especially delicious. The staff were also very attentive. I think it would have been perfect if face towels were provided in the large public bath.

The Facility is old, but the rates are affordable, and since the meals are kaiseki cuisine, we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. Above all, the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait can be seen from the Room, bath, and dining hall—absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our time enjoying the view of various ships coming and going. We will stay again.

We stayed in a 14-tatami room with the Beef Shabu-Shabu Plan. We drove there, and after check-in they kindly provided Shuttle Service to Togendai. Dinner featured beautifully marbled beef shabu-shabu, which got the whole family excited, and it was delicious. Although we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji even once due to afternoon thunderstorms on both days, we were very satisfied with the great hot spring bath and tasty meals.

First, thank you for accommodating my food allergies despite the last-minute Reservation the day before. The Accommodation is tucked away in the mountains, quiet and surrounded by nature—yet surprisingly well located with views out over the sea. There is no Shuttle Service to the Accommodation, so I took a taxi from Izu-Kogen Station. There aren’t many taxis waiting, but you should be able to get one without too long a wait. As it’s truly a detached-style Accommodation, each Room is set apart, so you don’t have to worry about noise from other guests. I believe all Rooms are detached and the number of guests is limited. The villa has high ceilings and a charming design, with an indoor bath featuring large windows as well as a private open-air bath in the Room. There’s also a small garden and an open-air bath without a roof. Of course, being outdoors means it’s affected by the weather. The views are lovely, but once you sink into the tub you can’t really see the ocean—just so you know. On clear nights, you can enjoy a sky full of stars. In-room dining was attentive and comfortable throughout, and I truly appreciated how carefully they adjusted the dishes for my allergies. They can also add or modify menus using local ingredients to suit your preferences. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks, and amenities were more than sufficient. I was able to relax without needing to leave my Room at all. A recommended Japanese-style Accommodation where you can unwind in privacy without worrying about others’ eyes.

I made a Reservation with the Room assigned by the property, and they prepared a lovely Room on the 6th floor with a great view. It started raining suddenly and I arrived soaked, but a staff member handed me a towel at the entrance—an impressively thoughtful service. Since I chose a Plan without dinner, they introduced several nearby restaurants. There was one bottle of silica water in the Room; it was so good that I bought two bottles on my way home. The souvenir corner is also well stocked. Breakfast was buffet-style, and we were shown to our seats; everyone had good manners, so I could take my time choosing dishes. The bath water quality was excellent—as expected in Tamatsukuri—and the temperature was just right. The stone garden was wonderful as well.

I knew from the Reviews that this was a wonderful Ryokan, but it exceeded my expectations. The Onsen was charming both indoors and outdoors, and even the changing area was stylish. The meals were delicious—I ate too much. The Room had high ceilings and was spacious and spotless, with an amazing view from the window. Everywhere I looked—the Room, the Onsen, and throughout the Facility—everything was impeccably clean, and I felt it offered outstanding value for money. Thank you for taking care of us for two days. I will make another Reservation.
