Although it is a Business Hotel in style, the Onsen was excellent, and the breakfast in particular was more luxurious and delicious than expected. For dinner, we used a voucher provided at the front desk and went to a robatayaki restaurant. With restaurants nearby and enjoyable night views, it was a comfortable Hotel to stay in.

As expected, Dormy Inn is the best. The Room was clean and easy to use, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The amenities are minimal but thoughtfully prepared so you can use what you need where you need it, which I really appreciated. The bath was more spacious than I expected, and the water quality was excellent—I felt truly relaxed. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked more outside air in the open-air side bath. One of the best parts of an open-air or semi-open-air bath is keeping your head cool while your body stays warm in the water. That said, they had fans running and clearly put a lot of thought into it—very impressive. I will definitely stay again. Additional note: At check-in, some overseas guests were speaking very loudly in the lobby, and I couldn’t hear what the front desk staff were saying… This isn’t something caused by the Hotel, but it was honestly very unpleasant.

The staff’s hospitality was truly outstanding. One delightful surprise after another made both our hearts and stomachs more than satisfied. There were plenty of activities for both adults and children, and we fully enjoyed the breathtaking views of the sea and islands. One night wasn’t nearly enough to experience it all. We would love to return.

I stayed at Yufuin Sansuikan, and everything—from the Onsen and meals to the all-inclusive service—was absolutely satisfying! The Onsen water was silky and gentle, kind to the skin, and incredibly relaxing. Dinner was buffet-style, so our international guests could freely choose whatever they liked and enjoy it. Every dish was delicious, with so many tempting options that I ended up eating too much. The Oita Wagyu steak in particular was outstanding. Another highlight was the all-inclusive service, which allowed us to enjoy complimentary drinks—including alcohol—from check-in through dinner. Above all, thanks to the warm hospitality of the president and the proprietress, we were able to spend a truly enjoyable and memorable time. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would love to visit again.

I visited with my wife. Even in the rain, the staff waited for our arrival and came out to greet us with an umbrella. We were truly impressed by their thoughtful and warm hospitality. The meals were excellent, featuring Japanese cuisine made with plenty of fresh seafood from Chiba, as well as generous portions of meat and vegetables. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious—I ended up eating more than I intended. The semi-open-air Onsen bath attached to our Room was also wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen at our own pace without worrying about others. The food, Onsen, and service were all outstanding, allowing us to spend a peaceful time together as a couple. We would love to visit again.

This Accommodation is a day-use Onsen Facility with lodging, overlooking the satoyama landscape of Okuizumo. Thank you for letting us stay at a very reasonable rate as part of the “Special Room Grand Reopening Commemorative” offer. The Room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator was well stocked with complimentary drinks such as beer, chu-hi, sake, and tea. There was also a coffee machine with plenty of coffee beans provided—perfect for coffee lovers. The open-air bath is not very open, but it is free-flowing from the source. However, since the source temperature is low at 29°C, it was disappointing that hot water needs to be added. Because it was hot in July, we mostly bathed using the source water as-is. When I returned to the air-conditioned Room I felt chilly at first, but afterward my body warmed up from the core. The large public bath was far from the Special Room, but I still went three times. I noticed a slight chlorine smell, but it was nicely warm. It would be ideal if the in-room bath’s spring water could be heated. For dinner we had the top-tier “Matsu Kaiseki” at a table in the restaurant. At this great price (50,000 yen), we were fully satisfied; however, if it were priced at 70,000–80,000 yen or more for two people, I think more creativity would be needed both in the dining setting and in the meal content. As of writing this Review on IKYU.com , it seems that Special Rooms are not currently being sold there. We were glad to enjoy beautiful satoyama views with no solar panels or anything else in sight from this Accommodation. All staff served us with warm smiles and pleasant hospitality. I also appreciated that most staff were local Japanese rather than foreign workers. We support hardworking Japanese Ryokan like yours. If charging regular rates, we hope you will consider adding one more step of “specialness” worthy of a Special Room. We would love to stay again.

I stopped by and stayed here on my way back to my hometown. Since I’d heard it was attached to a day-use Onsen Facility, I didn’t expect much—but I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the building’s appearance to every detail of the indoor Facilities, everything was impeccably maintained and welcoming. Above all, I was amazed by the staff’s hospitality. They anticipated guests’ needs before being asked—truly top-tier service. The Onsen uses water from the well-known Nakatsugawa Onsen source, and it felt wonderfully silky on the skin. The meal was a creative kaiseki course featuring plenty of Gifu ingredients, with outstanding taste, quality, portion size, and presentation. The room was beautifully kept, and I had a completely comfortable stay with no inconveniences at all. This is an exceptional Onsen Accommodation that I’ll definitely return to.

- I stayed here on a business trip from Tokyo to Nagoya. - I also borrowed a few amenities (a smartphone cable and nail clippers), and the staff were kind and welcoming with warm smiles. - The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the energetic service from the staff was impressive. - The double Room was comfortable, and I was able to use the large public bath (a bit small) almost privately. - The only downside was that the elevator was crowded in the morning, and some guests couldn’t get on, so I recommend allowing extra time when leaving. We had a truly wonderful time. The homemade-style meals, the thoughtfully prepared Room and space, and the open-air bath while listening to the sound of the waves were all exceptional. The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying. And we were deeply moved by the former proprietress’s storytelling. It reminded us to feel grateful once again for being alive—being allowed to live—here and now. Thank you very much. This is a highly recommended Accommodation.

The food was delicious, the free drinks were great, and we could watch the fireworks right in front of us—it was amazing. Thank you very much. If we have another opportunity, we would definitely like to stay again.

The staff provide courteous and kind service. The bath and in-room amenities are well stocked. As it was midwinter, a warming gel pack had been placed inside the bedding, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of a cozy, warm futon. The Room air conditioner kept us plenty warm, and a fan heater was also provided as a backup to further heat the room if needed. The meals were excellent in both taste and portion size. We were able to fully enjoy spiny lobster until we were completely satisfied. Overall, it is a wonderful Accommodation with an elegant atmosphere.

My first time back in Kinosaki Onsen in decades. I wasn’t sure which Accommodation to choose, but “Away from the hustle and bustle” was the deciding factor. Just as the Reviews said, the food was unquestionably delicious, and the tableware and presentation were wonderful. What impressed me most was the attendant who looked after us for both days without change. She always greeted us with a smile, our conversations flowed easily, and she made us feel at home. She also answered our questions about the onsen town accurately, so we could enjoy visiting the public baths with peace of mind. Because we had to leave early for our own reasons, they prepared breakfast outside regular hours, and even drove us to the bus stop in front of Kinosaki Onsen Station. With everyone’s help at this Ryokan, we were able to start our journey home safely. I can’t thank them enough—thank you very much. Her wonderful smile is my best memory from this trip. I would love to stay again.

The Facility and service were excellent, and it’s a place where I’d like to stay one more night or visit again. This is a recommended Accommodation. Unfortunately, there were two issues: 1. The shower in Room 106 had almost no water pressure, so I couldn’t wash my hair. I went somewhere else in the middle of the night to wash my hair. I would like enough water pressure in the Room shower to be able to wash my hair. 2. There was no lobby with staff on site at the Accommodation; if anything happened, I was told to scan a QR code and talk via smartphone. However, I could not access the system from my phone no matter how many times I tried. Even though I went there to relax, I had to struggle for a long time with setting up a smartphone system that didn’t work. Please place a telephone in the Room.

Although I often stay in Kirishima Onsen, this was my first time in Hitoyoshi Onsen, so I chose a relatively new Accommodation. It turned out to be the perfect choice, and on the way home my companion and I kept saying, “We’re glad we picked this place.” First of all, the Facility itself is new and very well cleaned, so check-in felt comfortable and pleasant. Next, the baths: both the indoor bath and open-air bath are stone-built with deep tubs; the water was pleasantly hot and gentle on the skin—truly a “beauty bath” quality—and I was very satisfied. Meals were served for both breakfast and dinner using local ingredients in thoughtful detail; everything was delicious in just the right portions. When visiting Kumamoto I had been hoping for basashi (horse sashimi), but it wasn’t included in this Plan; it was available to order separately, so I enjoyed it that way. What helped us most was assistance with making Reservations for lunch the next day and for activity facilities, as well as answering detailed questions. They kindly accommodated our requests—such as “I want to eat seasonal salt-grilled ayu” and “I’d like to try pottery on a wheel”—all with a smile. Thank you also for seeing us off even in light rain without opening an umbrella. The salt-grilled ayu at the restaurant you recommended was excellent, and we each made pottery pieces (a plate, a bowl, and a beer glass). After firing them in the kiln, they will be glazed in our requested colors that same day and then shipped to our home once finished—we’re looking forward to receiving them. I would love to visit again; however, there is one disappointing point: there is only one Room type available for stays of two or more people, so I would appreciate more options. I’m so glad I was lucky enough to get a Reservation at the Accommodation I’d been hoping to stay at when visiting Shodoshima! Thank you for emailing me in advance to confirm that my stay date fell on your Children’s Day, and for your very attentive support even before we arrived. The meals were excellent—we enjoyed plenty of Shodoshima’s local vegetables and fish, and we were completely satisfied. Thank you as well for the careful explanations of each dish and for adding a final message. The Onsen was private and wonderful. It was a shame that our timing didn’t work out, and in the end we couldn’t use one of them no matter when we checked… I also really appreciated the free drink service. We were too full to try the homemade fruit drinks or alcohol, so next time I’d like to come with more time (and room in my stomach), haha. Breakfast was delicious too—I finished everything! It was fun chatting about wanting to go to live shows, haha. I hope you enjoy your private time as well, so you can do even more wonderful work. One small thing: I wish the blind on the Room bathroom window could be adjusted. It felt like it might be visible from outside… haha Other than that, it was an incredibly relaxing space—perfect. Shodoshima is such a wonderful place. I’ll be back!

A wholehearted recommendation for sauna lovers! You can fine-tune the sauna temperature, and there’s a great selection of aroma oils available. With Coleman chairs, a spacious cold plunge, plenty of water and ice, and non-alcoholic drinks—everything is thoughtfully prepared. The salmon bento breakfast is so delicious you’ll want it again and again. Dinner is also excellent, so I highly recommend ordering it! I’ll definitely be coming back regularly!

After the typhoon, I wondered what would happen, but they seem to have live fish tanks, and that really helps them secure ingredients. Even for one person, you get a luxurious sashimi platter of delicious, very fresh fish. Dishes like tokobushi (small abalone) grilled on a ceramic plate and simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) make it feel like a high-end Ryokan. And that’s not all—there are also Western-style dishes using fish, so you never get bored. There are plenty of places that focus on Japanese-style seafood, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation that serves fish prepared in such a wide variety of ways. That said, don’t forget the base is still a minshuku (family-run guesthouse). In the morning, no matter how long you wait, no one comes out—so please help yourself. If it’s your first time, this style can be surprising. But because of that, the value for money is outstanding. Very satisfied.

We stayed as a family of three. The Onsen was wonderful—smooth and silky, a truly great Onsen. The meals were also excellent. We chose the course with sukiyaki. Everything—sukiyaki, sashimi, tempura, miso-grilled chicken, and more—was carefully prepared and delicious. Breakfast was served in a different dining area filled with morning sunlight, and it was just as tasty. The building was very clean, the Room was spacious and spotless, hot water and cold water were provided, and the futon was very comfortable. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive, so we had a great time. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

We stayed with two adults and two dogs. On the way there, our navigation system guided us on a detour and we arrived via a very narrow road, but after the staff explained the route, we found that if you exit onto the road right in front, you’re immediately on a main road and it’s very close to the Awaji Interchange—an excellent location. Our dogs had a great time running around both in the shared dog run Room and in the run. The complimentary drinks at the shared run were much appreciated. For dinner at Genpei, the anago (conger eel) hot pot and sashimi were outstanding, with generous portions—absolutely delicious (lol). In summer, most vacation rentals have lots of insects, but there were very few this time, which was great. Proper insect control measures are clearly in place. The staff were also wonderful and kindly helped us throughout—thank you very much. We’ll definitely come back again.

We stayed here as a family. Inami is known as a mecca for traditional woodcarving artisans, and this Accommodation—renovated from an old kimono shop—perfectly matches the unique atmosphere of the town. Only one group per day. As others have commented, the Room, garden, and bath were all truly impeccable. What stood out most was the chef, who also served as our concierge. He was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the ingredients, the town’s history, and more. I was deeply moved by how learning about the cuisine and ingredients while dining made the meal even more extraordinary—it reminded me that food is also an encounter in itself. Thank you very much. Hearing about their experience after the Noto earthquake was heartbreaking, but we could also feel how people in Hokuriku are moving forward with determination. We would love to stay again.
