We were completely satisfied with both the facilities and the meals! On top of the mountain, we noticed a smoky aroma—it turned out to be a campfire. We toasted marshmallows, and inside there was complimentary champagne service. The French cuisine was delicious, and we really enjoyed the wine. We were especially impressed by how tender the main beef dish was. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. One small thing: it would be nice to have power outlets near the bed, and I also wished the mirror area were a bit brighter for easier use. Overall, we were very satisfied and would love to stay again.

I felt you focus your time and budget on exactly the right things. I imagine the Room cleaning and maintenance, meals, and service are all thoughtfully managed with great care. I also really appreciated that the meal portions weren’t overly large. It doesn’t have everything like a luxury Ryokan, but if you simply want to relax at a slower pace, I don’t think you’ll find it lacking. This time I made a Reservation with a last-minute discount, but even without it, this is an Accommodation I’d like to visit again.

Because the Accommodation values privacy and is designed so you won’t run into other guests, I initially wondered if it might feel too quiet and a bit lonely (I had stayed at a Hotel with a lounge the day before, so I was used to being around people). However, as time passed, this sense of privacy became incredibly comfortable, and I found myself wishing I had booked a Multiple Night Stay instead of just one night. The meals were absolutely delicious, and the staff were wonderful. I’m truly glad I chose this Accommodation, and I would love to stay again if given the opportunity.

We stayed in the Karaku Room. As we were traveling with my elderly parents and needed some assistance, I was a little anxious before our stay. I consulted with the property in advance, and every member of staff responded warmly and attentively, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy our trip. The ocean view from our room was breathtakingly beautiful, and at night we could see countless stars—an unforgettable sight. From the proprietress’s welcome matcha tea and sweets to each staff member’s thoughtful care and kind words, we felt genuine hospitality throughout. Every dish was truly delicious, and my parents finished everything to the last bite. In addition, the manager—who is also a sommelier—carefully listened to our preferences and selected a glass that was exactly what we were looking for. It paired wonderfully with the meal and made dinner even more special. Most of all, what stays with me is my parents’ happy smiles. When traveling with elderly parents, being able to spend time with peace of mind is essential. At Karaku, we received not only that sense of comfort but also time in which our whole family could feel truly happy. Seeing my parents smile made me think from the bottom of my heart, “I’m so glad we were all able to come here together.” Beautiful scenery, delicious food, and above all, genuine warmth from people. This time spent together as a family has become an irreplaceable memory we will never forget. I am deeply grateful that I could share such a wonderful time here with my parents. It was a truly outstanding inn—one we would love to visit again. To all the staff: thank you very much for giving our family memories we will never forget.

Following Kyoto, I also visited Nara. It was a soothing, well-deserved treat for myself. Both dinner and breakfast were served with thoughtful hospitality, and I truly enjoyed the seasonal flavors and local ingredients of Nara. As it was the season for newly harvested rice, I was moved to be able to try the hamo “Honen” soup celebrating a bountiful harvest—thank you so much! The second-floor room was spacious, spotless, and surrounded by a calm atmosphere, allowing me to relax and enjoy a luxurious stay. Outside the semi-open-air bath there were persimmons on the tree, and crows came by which made me feel a little uneasy, so I asked about room types and booked a different room for next time. I’m looking forward to it.

What stood out most during this stay was the French cuisine at the restaurant “BLUNO.” It was truly delicious. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I enjoyed everything to the very end—not only for its beautiful presentation, but also because you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Rather than just “Hotel food,” it made me think, “I want to stay here again just to eat this French cuisine.” It greatly increased my overall satisfaction with this stay. The Hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with a calm atmosphere. For bathing, you use the adjacent spa Facility. The water temperature was pleasantly lukewarm for a long soak, but I prefer hotter baths, so that part was a little disappointing. Even so, it was still a highly satisfying stay overall. In particular, I would love to enjoy BLUNO’s dishes again.

The Facility is old, but the rates are affordable, and since the meals are kaiseki cuisine, we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. Above all, the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait can be seen from the Room, bath, and dining hall—absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our time enjoying the view of various ships coming and going. We will stay again.

Overall, it was a very satisfying trip. First of all, everyone at the Accommodation was thoughtful and attentive, and they took great care of us. The Accommodation is built spanning a gorge, and together with the surrounding walking paths it was a very pleasant place. The open-air bath in the Room was excellent, and it also had a washing area, so one of the three of us was always in the bath. However, the large public bath felt fairly ordinary, and the hours were short as it was only open until 9:00 a.m. in the morning. Also, we received free café vouchers, but we were told we couldn’t add milk or lemon either, which left us with a slightly stingy impression. That said, as I mentioned at the beginning, our family of three had a wonderful trip overall—thank you very much.

Compared with my memories from years ago, it had changed a lot. I stayed at Nisshokan, and it had just reopened the day after renovations, so I was very satisfied. The bath was also great. Payment was automated with plenty of machines available, so everything went smoothly. They transported us from the parking lot by a small shuttle bus (they also asked whether we preferred the boat).

We stayed here for a mother-and-daughters trip (three of us) to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. We were also impressed that three beds were set up side by side. All the in-Room meals were delicious, and we enjoyed the dishes inspired by Mt. Fuji throughout—beautiful to look at as well. We could even see Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath in our Room, and we had a truly luxurious time. They also gave my mother a gift for her 90th birthday, which deeply moved us. My mother was thrilled, and it became a wonderful, unforgettable celebration.

This was our first time staying here, and we were very well taken care of. From the warm welcome upon arrival, we were served tea and delicious sweets before being shown to our Room. The guest Room had a clean, modern Japanese style, and we were truly impressed by the wonderful view of the sea from anywhere in the Room—even from the bath. In addition, the Onsen bath had silky, slightly thick water that felt great and left our skin smooth; we enjoyed it many times and were completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were more than enough in quantity, and every dish was delicious. We initially thought the dining area seating might be close together, but it wasn’t at all; we enjoyed chatting while listening to explanations about the dishes from the proprietress and staff. We had been looking for an Accommodation where we could simply relax, enjoy great food, and soak in good hot water—and this was a wonderful Accommodation where we could truly take our time. We’re happy to have found an Accommodation that makes us think, “We definitely want to come again in a different season.”

The ocean-view from the room was stunning. Above all, the meals were so lavish that we left completely full. We were amazed to see nine kinds of sashimi beautifully arranged on a large platter. Every dish was delicious. The hot spring baths were spacious and included an open-air bath, sauna, cold plunge, and jet bath—absolutely satisfying. We were able to relax at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much.

Perhaps because it is a lesser-known Onsen, I felt the price was reasonable. The meals were carefully prepared and delicious. The baths in the Ryokan are simple, but the riverside open-air bath at an affiliated Facility let me truly enjoy nature. Time passes peacefully here, and it is an Accommodation I would recommend.

The lobster was incredibly delicious—I was genuinely surprised. I treated myself a bit by staying here, and many guests seemed to be regulars; the overall atmosphere was wonderful. I also appreciated being able to request Shuttle Service from/to Hakuba Station. This may have been just me missing it, but I would have appreciated it even more if makeup remover had been available in the Room or in the private bath.

Being able to smoke on the balcony was greatly appreciated as a heavy smoker. The wood-fired meat was also absolutely delicious. I would definitely like to stay here again. The only downside was that it was quite bright around the property, so we couldn’t really enjoy the starry sky. It would have been nice if at least the lights along the seaside promenade were turned off late at night.

Conveniently located right in front of the station. The Room was clean and comfortable. The lobby had a great atmosphere, and it was interesting that you can bring books from the neighboring library up to your Room to read (though it may not be something you use much on a short stay). The breakfast buffet was very well stocked—there was squid sashimi, local Yamagata dishes, and even ramen available to order, which felt quite luxurious. The roll cake dessert wasn’t a cheap petit-cake style one; it was genuinely tasty. The pudding also looked good, but unfortunately it seemed to sell out early before I could get some.

The location is convenient for getting anywhere, and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. This was my second stay, and I would like to stay here again when I visit Kobe.

The Facility is new, and I had a very pleasant stay. All the staff were kind, and the calm atmosphere was truly relaxing... The complimentary snacks in the refrigerator also helped soothe my fatigue from the extreme heat... I stayed on a Friday, and the bath was almost private, so I could relax and fully enjoy it. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. It was my first time staying at Dormy Inn, but I’d like to try other locations as well. Also, you should definitely add breakfast! The quality was beyond what you’d expect from a Business Hotel. Everything was carefully prepared and delicious. I’d love to stay again.

Unfortunately, it rained, but we still had a wonderful stay. We stayed with a young elementary school child, and they were thrilled with the second-floor loft! They enjoyed it like a secret hideout. They also loved the handicraft experience, but since the daily Reservation slots seem quite limited, booking in advance is recommended. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were very satisfied with the meals. One thing that personally impressed me was the Room bathroom. It had automatic hot-water filling and reheating functions, which felt rare for a cottage. It was quietly appreciated when traveling with kids (haha).

This was my third stay. After arriving while it was still light out, I first enjoyed Goshobo’s semi-mixed Onsen and the large public bath with its golden Onsen. Since it was summer, even a short soak left me sweating nonstop. In the large bath, I shared the water with someone for the first time here; we had a pleasant chat and ended up soaking a bit longer. Dinner was a lighter, seafood-focused course. The chilled Awaji spiny lobster soup was a perfect match with Koshu wine. The highlight began with sashimi of meita-garei flounder and aged sea bream, followed by more Akashi-ura fish to enjoy. The charcoal-grilled Spanish mackerel and the Akashi sea bream acqua pazza were both seasonal specials you can only have here at this time of year. The broth in the acqua pazza was much lighter than last autumn’s filefish version. To finish, the cheese course left me fully satisfied in both quality and quantity—thank you for the wonderful meal. For breakfast, I switched back to the standard menu: milk, soup, vegetables—an all-around delicious plate—beautiful French toast, and yogurt meant to savor the jam and honey. Everything tasted exactly as good as expected. Even the mini breads were great; this time, the buttery croissant was my favorite. In my Room bath, I topped up little by little while letting it cool slightly, enjoying a pleasantly lukewarm golden Onsen. The breeze through the window felt wonderful: lush greenery everywhere, distant summer skies, murmuring sounds of life outside—and cicadas loud enough not to lose to them. Summer Onsen really is something special. After breakfast I alternated between the golden Onsen and the low-temperature sauna. It was an extremely satisfying holiday stay. Thank you very much. P.S.
