This was our first stay as a family of four. Since we were all exhausted from the extreme heat, we truly appreciated being able to enjoy a welcome drink in the air-conditioned lounge after check-in. We stayed in a wonderful Room on the top floor with ocean views and a view of Mt. Fuji, and our whole family was impressed. The Hotel was very clean, and everything—from the attentive service and luxurious meals to the spacious, relaxing baths, the open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji, and the cold tea and ice cream after bathing—was excellent, making it an exceptionally comfortable stay. We also joined the summer bingo event and had fun enjoying the festive atmosphere. After check-in, you also took our family commemorative photo promptly at the entrance—thank you very much. We would love to stay again as a family!

My friend and I stayed for one night and two days. We arrived at Yakushima Airport at 18:25 and headed to the Hotel, and since the Shuttle Service for the sea turtle nesting observation tour was scheduled to arrive at 19:30, we were wondering what to do about dinner. They kindly prepared dinner as an easy-to-eat bento-style meal, and even offered to bring anything we couldn’t finish up to our Room—such a flexible and thoughtful response, which we truly appreciated. Also, both the view from the restaurant and from our Room were a beautiful ocean view—so stunning that we could have watched it forever if we’d had more time. It was my first time visiting Yakushima, but I was very satisfied to stay at such a wonderful Accommodation full of kindness from the very first night. I’d love to come again, and next time I’d like to stay longer and take it easy.

I ended up coming back again in less than a month. When I finally had some free time and wondered where to go, my feet naturally led me to Hotel AreaOne Banjinmisaki. This time the Hotel was almost fully booked. There seemed to be a sports tournament nearby, and many families were staying the night before—an eye-opening way to use the Hotel. Our family came to enjoy the sea at Banjinmisaki and to see the winged swim ring we’d spotted on Instagram. With a free rental float in hand, we played in the water at the nearly empty beach right in front of us. The kids were thrilled, and our whole family had a wonderful time. Even though it wasn’t officially beach season yet, the water was already warm enough for us to fully enjoy playing with our children along the shoreline. There’s a shower room on the first floor of the Hotel, so it’s easy to rinse off sand. If you bring your yukata with you, you can rinse off and head straight to the bath—such great convenience. I say this every time, but I truly believe the view from the Room window is the best in the world. Relaxing in your Room while watching the sunset, then setting off fireworks under a sky full of stars—I don’t think there are many Hotels like this anywhere in Japan, or even worldwide. And I feel that our Kashiwazaki trip is made possible by all of this thanks to everyone on staff who supports these wonderful moments. This time we were lucky enough to get tai meshi for breakfast, and we enjoyed an amazing meal together with an incredible view—such a satisfying morning. While browsing the Hotel’s souvenir corner, we bought some lovely sweets and a spoon like those shown in photos. Many Hotels sell souvenirs made in Osaka or Saitama—or even overseas—but this Hotel offers local specialties properly made in Niigata, which left a great impression on me. The sweets were made in Kashiwazaki and were delicious. As for the spoon—it was crafted by an artisan from Tsubame-Sanjo—and it’s so outstanding that after using it at home I honestly felt it might be “the best spoon in the world,” just like this Hotel. A Hotel that can curate souvenirs like these really might be number one! I always care more about where something is manufactured than who sells it, so I think this Hotel has impeccable taste with its strong selection of local specialties. On this trip—despite having visited dozens of times—I realized for the first time that even just browsing this souvenir corner makes staying here worthwhile. In any case, this is truly an excellent Hotel with wonderful staff who have great taste as well. We’ll definitely be back!

The meals featured a variety of Japanese dishes centered on local seafood. Every dish was carefully prepared, and we enjoyed them very much. We stayed in a guest Room with an open-air bath. It was thoroughly cleaned and there was no smell of tobacco. The bathroom has a hinoki (cypress) bath with a pleasant aroma. There is also a door leading directly outside to the open-air bath. Outside the Room is a private garden with views of both the sea and the mountains. Although it was summer, there were no mosquitoes or other insects even at night. Because there are only a small number of guest Rooms, we were able to relax in a very calm atmosphere throughout the property. Notes: 1) Even some first-floor guest Rooms have about five steps. There are also about ten steps to reach the large public bath. Please keep this in mind if you have difficulty walking. 2) Regarding guest Rooms with an open-air bath: This will be explained by staff on the day, but the water temperature is very hot. Please check and adjust the temperature before undressing. 3) The private garden for each guest Room has a fence on the sea side, but part of it is not continuous. Beyond that point there is an approximately 3-meter slope down toward the sea. Please take extra care not to take your eyes off small children.

When we were taking photos at the Hotel entrance, a staff member kindly approached us in a natural way and offered to take our picture, which made us feel truly welcomed. I was traveling alone with two children, so I was a bit anxious, but thanks to the staff’s kindness and the wonderful Hotel and pool, my children had an amazing time. The food was also delicious. We had such a great stay that we would love to come back again.

We stayed mainly for the food, and it exceeded our expectations! Everything was delicious, especially the fish. The staff’s service was attentive, and the wine they recommended suited our taste—overall a wonderful experience. The Room was clean, and the Onsen was at a comfortable temperature. This is an Accommodation we’d definitely love to stay at again!

Even though I don’t swim in the sea, I travel solo year-round in search of gourmet Accommodations near the coast (for the food and scenery). I was delighted to be upgraded to a sea-view Room. It was a Japanese-style Room, but it also had a leather sofa and ottoman, so I could stretch out and relax while gazing at the ocean. When I woke up around 5:00, I was able to watch a beautiful sunrise from the Room. There is a calm inner-sea beach right in front of the Accommodation, and there are showers as well—great for families with small children. The meals were outstanding, featuring an abundance of local specialties. My main goal was Wakasa-guji (tilefish), but it was even more delicious than I imagined—the Wakasa-guji ochazuke was exceptional. And the Matsunaga rice was unbelievably good (probably the best I’ve ever had). I didn’t use the public bath and used the shower in my Room instead, but I loved that the shampoo and conditioner were Hokurokusousui—one of my favorite brands—and it helped me relax. Recently there have been more Accommodations renovated from wooden buildings, but some noise—voices and footsteps—is unavoidable. You can often hear children as well. It’s not exactly quiet. However, more than making up for that, I felt each staff member’s hospitality and way of interacting with guests was wonderful. In particular: the woman with glasses who assisted me at check-in; the woman at breakfast (I’m sorry—I forgot your name); and one of the male staff members who kindly gave me helpful advice for sightseeing in Obama after check-out. Thanks to them, it became more than just an overnight stay—I had a chance to learn even more about Obama, making this trip extremely satisfying. I heard that midwinter is especially good for grouper, pufferfish, and Echizen crab. As transportation access improves from here on out, this will be an Accommodation you’ll want to visit even more. Next time it would be perfect if I could borrow a firmer pillow!! Please make that happen on my next visit!! (I can’t sleep if a pillow doesn’t suit me.) Thank you very much to all of your staff for everything.

After the festival at Shima Spain Village, I was able to refresh and recover from the fatigue with delicious food and a wonderful bath, so I could take on day two feeling energized! I’d love to come back again for a relaxing stay.

We stayed as a couple. We made our Reservation one week before our stay, and the only Room available came with a semi-open-air bath. The Room was very clean and spacious, facing the ocean—absolutely wonderful. The beach is right in front of the Hotel, and it felt like a private beach; we could take a walk at sunset and really enjoy the resort atmosphere. Not only was the in-room semi-open-air bath great, but the large public bath with an open-air bath was also very spacious, so we could relax and enjoy it at our leisure. For dinner, since we don’t eat much, we chose the standard course and it was more than enough. It seemed you could also order extras such as golden eye snapper, abalone, and spiny lobster. Breakfast was entirely self-service, and even if you wanted to grill dried fish (aji), you had to go get items like a pot and solid fuel yourself, which felt a bit inconvenient. Alcohol was free during dinner, which was excellent; however, there were no vending machines inside the Hotel for other times, so having to go out to a convenience store to buy drinks was disappointing. Considering the Facility and overall offering, it felt like good value for money; overall satisfaction was high, and we would like to stay again.

This is a well-established, reliable Hotel in Amami. There is an Onsen on the top floor, and soaking in the open-air bath while taking in a panoramic view of Naze Port washes away your fatigue. From your Room, the ocean is right in front of you. The sea below has coral reefs, and tropical fish—even Nemo and friends—swim by. The staff are kind and always make you feel comfortable, so it feels like coming home. Whenever I visit Amami, I spend one night here and have dinner at Yani. Resting while looking out over Amami’s sea from your Room feels wonderful, and in the morning you can relax over breakfast with views of the garden and ocean—this is a Hotel that leaves you feeling refreshed.

I was happy to be able to celebrate my birthday here again this year. Not only was the Room wonderful, but the meals were delicious, and the staff’s hospitality was excellent—I’m always grateful. The towel cake in the Room and the mago chazuke I had been hoping to try made it even more special. I had a truly lovely time. Thank you very much.

We stayed for three nights during the Obon holiday. This was our third year in a row, and each time we feel truly refreshed and enjoy an amazing vacation. Although the weather was poor after the typhoon, it miraculously cleared up from the second day, and we were somehow able to see the Perseid meteor shower as well. The staff were wonderful, and there was nothing that made us feel uncomfortable; our children had a great time too. The only disappointment was that the Diamond benefit of early check-in is no longer available. Since check-in tends to take a little time each visit, that may be the one area for improvement. Thank you again for everything this time as well.

I booked this place for a relaxing trip with friends because I’d long been curious about the view from the open-air bath. The moment we entered the Room, we were thrilled by how clean and stylish it was—and by the amazing view right in front of us. Dinner was delicious with a great variety of dishes. The sunset from the open-air bath was incredible. Breakfast also offered plenty of options, and the freshly made rice balls were especially tasty. For a hot summer trip, it was perfect to skip sightseeing and simply unwind at this wonderful Hotel and feel refreshed—and we even got a great deal thanks to a time sale. A Hotel I’d definitely love to visit again.

We stayed again this year, following last year’s visit. This time, it was a 2-night, 3-day beach trip for three of us: an elderly couple and our granddaughter (first grade). Both on arrival and departure, the staff guided us in the parking lot, helped carry our luggage, and spoke to us kindly—this was extremely helpful. Working in this heat must be tough; thank you for all your hard work. The building was very clean, and the Room cleaning was thorough. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed dinner both nights while watching beautiful sunsets. The dinner style differed between the first and second nights: on the first night we had a kaiseki course featuring Murakami beef shabu-shabu as the main dish, and on the second night we had a seafood kaiseki course. Both the Murakami beef on day one and the crab on day two were excellent—our granddaughter finished her crab within minutes of starting dinner. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have loved even a small portion of Murakami beef on the second night as well, since it’s something you can only eat when visiting this area (though we do make use of hometown tax donations). We were originally told that dinner would be at “Kaiou” on both nights, but about 15 minutes before dinner on the second night we suddenly received notice of a venue change. The staff member apologized repeatedly; however, in a Hotel that accommodates so many guests, it actually reassured me that careful checks are being done in advance. Buffet-style dining isn’t bad, but for an elderly couple like us, having kaiseki served at just the right timing is much easier. I sincerely hope you will continue offering it. It’s also wonderful that right behind the Hotel is a beach with excellent access: after leaving the beach we could rinse off sand at the outdoor showers and head straight to the Onsen. There was even a washing machine available to rinse swimsuits—truly convenient. After soaking in the Onsen, all three of us relaxed in the lobby while enjoying complimentary Momotaro ice pops. On day two, when we asked at reception for advice so we could enjoy swimming at Sasagawa Nagare Beachline area more fully—including which beach and where to park—they kindly helped us with great care. There was also plenty of information we couldn’t get from checking with AI beforehand; combining both made our trip even more enjoyable. Local knowledge really is invaluable. On our final day as well—at our granddaughter’s request—we enjoyed swimming until mid-afternoon before rinsing off sand in the shower and saltiness in the Onsen prior to heading home. Driving back to Tokyo after swimming was tiring, but it became a fulfilling trip full of wonderful memories. If my stamina holds up, I’d love to come again next year. Thank you very much.

I have stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan with ocean views, but this was one of the most memorable. The views from the Room and the open-air bath were outstanding—thanks to the Hotel’s hilltop location with nothing obstructing the scenery, as well as the serene beauty of the Seto Inland Sea itself. There are very few man-made structures nearby, and the landscape created by the scattered islands is truly stunning. In the distance, we could see bridges of the Shimanami Kaido and parts of Imabari’s townscape, while boats passing below from time to time added a lovely touch to the view. I felt this Hotel is well worth staying at even just to relax and take in this scenery. Because it was listed as “Casual” on IKYU, I initially imagined a standard Hotel that simply highlights its views. In reality, however, we experienced warm, unpretentious hospitality from all staff members. Dinner was not a typical set menu; it showed thoughtful creativity throughout and was delicious. Breakfast was buffet-style, and in particular, I still remember how wonderful the locally harvested blueberries were. This time we rented a car at Hiroshima Station: on our first night we stayed at a Ryokan on Etajima; on day two we toured Takehara before taking a ferry over and enjoying beautiful Setouchi island views from Mount Kamimine prior to check-in. The next day we visited Okunoshima to spend time with its rabbits, then headed home via Mihara to Hiroshima Airport. The Hotel was also extremely convenient as a base for sightseeing routes starting from Hiroshima City toward Kure, Takehara, and Mihara—and we were fully satisfied with every aspect: scenery, dining, and hospitality.

This time, on my first visit to Beppu during Golden Week, I stayed in a non-smoking twin Room under the Standard Plan. The hotel is conveniently located near Beppu Station, with easy access. I arrived early due to my flight schedule, and it was a great place to leave my luggage and go sightseeing. On top of that, our Room was upgraded to a family Room! The two of us enjoyed the luxury of using a four-person Room. Both the property and the Room were kept very clean, and we were able to relax after sightseeing and drinks. The next morning the weather was bad so we couldn’t see the sunrise, but we fully enjoyed the bath and even the after-bath services. I’d definitely like to stay here again on my next trip back to Oita.

They were considerate in ensuring we wouldn’t run into other guests from arrival to departure. It truly felt like a hidden retreat. The Room was very clean, and the amenities and drinks were plentiful. The food was also delicious. The bath was comfortable as well. The view from the Room was wonderful, and while we were looking out at the sea and Hatsushima Island, a rainbow appeared at just the right moment—it was spectacular.

We chose this Accommodation because it had high ratings for its meals and service in Reviews. We were a little worried whether our growing children would be satisfied, but in the end we were extremely happy. The elaborate appetizers won over our whole family, and we were impressed by the careful craftsmanship that didn’t simply rely on the quality of the ingredients. We could feel the attentive care of the proprietress and all the staff throughout our stay, which made it very comfortable. It doesn’t have the kind of Facilities you’d find at a large Hotel, but when we visit Tottori again, I’m sure we’ll stay here again.

The villa was located slightly uphill from the coastal road. The moment we opened the door, we were impressed by the stylish Room and the stunning view. The staff who guided us was very polite, and the food was delicious, making it a truly satisfying stay. Although it was just one night, we fully enjoyed Awaji Island. We would love to visit again with our dog!

We stayed in March last time, and this time we stayed again in August for my wife’s birthday. Our 4-year-old daughter fell in love with Suginoi Hotel during our previous stay, so this time we chose the seasonal Aqua Beat (pool) and stayed in the same building, Nijikan, as before. She was thrilled with Aqua Beat. It was crowded because of summer vacation, but we still had plenty of fun. The Facility and meals were also very satisfying. If I could ask for one thing, I’d be happy if raw eggs were available as well as Onsen eggs (I love rice with egg). We’ll most likely stay again for our daughter’s birthday trip next time. The cost is not cheap, but it makes for the best trip for our family (especially our daughter). When she gets older, we’d like to stay in a different building instead of Nijikan.
