Despite the heavy rain and strong winds, you kindly accommodated us even before check-in time. Thank you as well for preparing dinner on short notice. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, so the connection wasn’t very reliable, but we were able to relax in the Onsen. Thank you.

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Everything was outstanding—the beautiful Room, the delicious meals, the private bath, and all the Hotel staff. The food in particular was amazing; the course meal made generous use of ingredients from Shimoda, and we could truly savor Shimoda’s richness from start to finish. The Hotel staff were also very kind—helping us with a small mishap in the bath (lol) and explaining each dish clearly. My girlfriend was thrilled, and I’m glad we chose this Hotel. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

The staff were very friendly, and the Onsen was great with pleasantly salty water. The meals were exactly as shown in the photos—fresh and delicious—and the portions were generous. I would like you to prevent cigarette smoke from the smoking area from drifting over.

I enjoyed a luxurious stay surrounded by art. Both the space and the service were excellent, and all of the staff were kind. With Shuttle Service buses to the port and museums, getting around the island was very convenient. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Naoshima.

I have stayed here many times. At a typical Ryokan, I’m a light eater, so the meals served are often more than I can finish. For that reason, wherever I go, I stay without meals included. I eat at nearby restaurants and order only what I want and can finish. It’s cheaper and makes for a more relaxed trip. From that perspective, Kameya Rakkan is the best Hotel. Of course, the staff are kind as well, and I appreciate their attentive service. I will stay again.

This property is in a wonderful location right in front of the sea. A walk along the shore before dinner was the best. Although it is in front of the swimming beach, it was quiet, and we really enjoyed the delicious meals.

We used the Parent-and-Child Trip Plan and the 50+ & Weekday Plan. Our Room was a Japanese-modern suite with a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath (smoking allowed). Spacious and comfortable! The bed was great too! And with breakfast and dinner included, it was just over JPY 11,000 per person—such a good deal! I use e-cigarettes, but even though an ashtray was provided, the Room didn’t smell of smoke at all, so I felt bad and ended up smoking outside. There are ashtrays in several places within the Facility, which was helpful. There isn’t much around within walking distance, so we decided to enjoy our time at the Accommodation. The karaoke was busy, but we managed to get a one-hour slot (additional charge). The karaoke room is quite spacious. The baths do not allow tattoos. My daughter used the public bath while I used the tub in our Room. She said the public bath felt wonderful. The in-room bath was also very comfortable with a nice view. One thing to note: I couldn’t find a faucet for washing up by the bath—maybe there was one? Since there is a separate shower room, I washed there and then moved to the bath. The bathroom door has good soundproofing, so noise hardly reached the bedroom. I relaxed while playing music on my phone. One more thing... The bathroom is fully visible from the bedroom, so when my daughter wanted to use it, I went for a walk outside. A small screen or partition would be helpful. There were bathrobes, but only two small towels and no bath towels. I had brought my own and used that; if you hang it on a hanger it dries quickly. The tub is fairly large and deep—very comfortable. We often stay at Livemax when exploring around Izu, and this place also has great food. I like lively buffet atmospheres, so we enjoyed it here as well. All-you-can-eat salmon roe at both dinner and breakfast—this was amazing! Dinner items like meat and shrimp sashimi were great too, and breakfast breads and egg dishes were delicious. The shower head, hair dryer, and iron were all ReFa—my daughter was thrilled. They really are nice. From check-in to check-out, all staff provided excellent service. Service in the restaurant was also attentive, making our time very comfortable overall. Thanks to you all, my daughter and I had a wonderful trip. Thank you! *One small concern: When we entered the Room there were empty cans and some trash left in the bin. It seemed like something had been missed during cleaning—and I also wondered why someone would throw cans into that bin.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay. When I asked to leave my luggage before check-in, you kindly accommodated my request, which allowed me to go about my plans with peace of mind. The moment I stepped into the Hotel, I was enveloped in a refined yet glamorous fragrance that instantly made the experience feel special. All of the staff were impeccably presented, with polished manners and elegant language. Every interaction felt delightful and memorable. The Club Lounge presentations were all excellent. In particular, the Pasha coffee served at afternoon tea and the specially paired sweets were exceptional—I truly enjoyed a luxurious and uplifting time. I also stopped by the bar before bed, where the bartender created one original cocktail after another tailored to my preferences. It felt like being in a dream. In my room, I initially found the shower controls a bit difficult to use, but when I contacted you, a staff member came right away and explained everything clearly, which was very helpful. Above all, the bed was more comfortable than anything I have ever experienced, and I slept wonderfully. Thanks to you, it became an unforgettable trip. I would love to stay again. I chose to stay here based on past Reviews. This Hotel offers a relaxing, soothing atmosphere with a clean interior, spacious layout, and a quiet, serene setting. Dinner was more than ample and made with fresh ingredients—especially the bonito sashimi and seared bonito, which were outstanding. The Room was clean and generously sized, and I was able to unwind comfortably for the night. A very satisfying Hotel overall.

A trip to Itoshima with three high school friends! We were unexpectedly upgraded to a corner suite!! Ocean views from the window, the bath, and even the bed. All the staff were kind and welcoming. Next time, I’d like to stay here with my family.

I stayed here on a solo trip, and it was a truly special getaway that let me fully experience the unique atmosphere of Rebun Island. I was very satisfied to enjoy fresh seafood that you can only taste on Rebun Island. The Room was comfortable, and I was able to relax at my own pace. The staff were warm and welcoming, and it was memorable to feel the homey atmosphere that’s unique to an island Accommodation. It was also great to soothe my travel fatigue in the Onsen in the large public bath. Even at breakfast, I could enjoy Rebun’s seafood, which made the trip feel even more fulfilling. Overall, my satisfaction level was genuinely high—rather than one standout point, everything was excellent. It’s an Accommodation I’d definitely like to stay at again, and I highly recommend it.

I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to relax in a bath with an ocean view, and it offers ocean-view rooms with private open-air baths. I later realized it was featured in the Michelin Guide (Tokai edition). There are many baths throughout the Accommodation—on the rooftop, on the 5th floor, two on the 3rd floor, and one on the 2nd floor—but unfortunately the 2nd-floor bath was closed on the day of my stay. The in-room open-air bath had plenty of hot water and a great view, and I enjoyed it very much. The 5th-floor bath is a reservable private bath in 25-minute slots, so it felt a bit rushed. On the 3rd floor, if it’s available you can lock it and use it privately; I used only one of them, and its semi-open-air style was best suited for washing up. I used the rooftop open-air bath after dinner—the gradient of colors in the sky was stunning, and I could even see an evening star, making for a truly beautiful experience; however... because there is nothing to block the wind on the rooftop, I felt very cold even during the short walk to the tub. You may want to choose your season if you want to fully enjoy it. The staff were cheerful and kind. I booked a Plan with breakfast and dinner; both meals were delicious and felt like just the right amount. Perhaps because everything paired well with alcohol, I got thirsty at night and drank water several times (I appreciated that cold water was provided in a pot in my room). The bedding was high quality and I slept well. Overall satisfaction was high—an Accommodation that made me want to return. One disappointing point—also mentioned by others—was that there were many marks on the tatami mats that looked like they came from dragging tables or other furniture around. Also as others have noted, there were some areas where cleaning seemed insufficient: higher spots and exterior sides of window frames looked like they hadn’t been wiped for quite some time. What bothered me most this time was that weeding around the open-air bath area hadn’t been done at all. It seems like it could be finished within an hour—or handled with weed killer—but since there don’t seem to be many young people locally and older staff appear to be running things mainly themselves, this may be easier said than done. Photos from when Game 16 of Ryuo Title Match (Season 16) was held here are displayed inside; you can see younger versions of Morishita Koji? Wait: Actually "森内、羽生" are Yoshiharu Morinouchi? It's "Morinouchi" vs "Habu". Alongside them is also a young Sugimoto Masayuki (8-dan), famous as mentor to Fujii Sota (six titles). Shogi fans—and especially Fujii fans—should definitely take a look.

I stayed here during the Obon holiday period. Since this Accommodation is for lodging only, you are free to come and go after check-in, so you can go out to eat or shop. It’s a quiet area. The in-room Onsen bath is great because you can adjust the temperature by mixing hot water and lukewarm water; some places require adding tap water when it’s too hot, but not here. There is no tap in the bath. The location is convenient—close to Beppu Daigaku Station (Annex area) and also near the Sunflower ferry terminal. There are various supermarkets and restaurants nearby as well. It’s also a good base for visiting Yufuin or heading to Aso via the Yamanami Highway. I would like to stay here again.

This is our annual summer family trip with three generations. We book two Rooms, and we truly appreciate that you arrange them next to each other. The baths are amazing—wonderful Onsen! The food is delicious with a wide variety of options, and all the staff are so kind and helpful. It’s an outstanding Hotel. My mother was left partially paralyzed after a cerebral hemorrhage and has limited mobility, so we wondered if this might be our last trip together—but this year again, our whole family was able to come. We hope my mother and father stay healthy so we can all return next year as well. This is the best Hotel for creating wonderful memories on our yearly family trips. Please take care of yourselves, and keep up the great work. I’ll be visiting with friends in October too, and I’m looking forward to coming back again. Perfect in every way! The best value for money I’ve ever had. The Room was spacious and spotless. The fridge had a freezer, there was also a microwave, and the toilet was clean. The in-room bath was amazing, with a great view! The meals offered a good variety, which we really enjoyed.

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days on my second visit, as I had business in the neighboring town of Gimpo. The weather was great every day, and I was able to see beautiful sunsets. The Room had tatami flooring with a single bed and was very comfortable to stay in. If I had to mention something, the water flow at the sink was weak and the drainage was poor. I was told this Room does not have a bath, but it wasn’t an issue because I used the large public Onsen bath every day. Unlike my previous impression, everyone at the front desk was kind and helpful, which made me happy. The restaurant was also clean, and I appreciated the staff’s attentiveness. This Accommodation is conveniently located near a roadside station, as well as convenience stores and drugstores nearby.

Unfortunately, it rained with occasional cloudy skies, so it was a shame we couldn’t enjoy the spacious garden terrace in sunny weather. Going down the stairs without a handrail felt a bit scary because it seemed slippery, but overall we were satisfied.

Because the bath is in the Room, you can enjoy the Onsen without worrying about time. The meals were also visually appealing and delicious. However, because the property is located along a road, traffic noise was noticeable, and the bed springs pressed against my body and were painful while sleeping—these are the reasons I rated it 4.

We chose this Hotel because the cost was about 30,000 yen for two people with dinner and breakfast for one night. The Room was clean, and having a separate toilet and bathroom was a plus. The bathroom had a bathtub that could be filled, and there was also space outside the tub to wash—something we hadn’t seen in other Hotels. For dinner, we could choose from 10 menu options, and the buffet-style breakfast was also delicious. The staff were pleasant and helpful as well. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.
