Enjoy the stunning ocean view right in front of you and wash away all your daily stress. I indulged in my favorite Takezaki crab and fully enjoyed Tara! (laughs) The morning coffee was also delightful. Thank you very much. It would have been even better if the amenities were more comprehensive. I wished there were a few more towels available.

I couldn’t finish the large portion of wakame seaweed shabu-shabu, but everything else was great.

The bath was very clean! I was surprised it wasn’t crowded even during Golden Week. The food was very delicious. Overall, I thought it was a very good Hotel.

Facilities & Surroundings There are very few shared Facilities, and the overall layout is compact. There isn’t much to do within walking distance nearby, so it felt difficult to go out without a car. Room The Room isn’t especially spacious, but it has the basic essentials. It feels more like a vacation home than a Hotel, with a noticeable “home-like” atmosphere for better or worse. Some details also feel cost-conscious in design, which may come down to personal preference. Onsen There is only an open-air bath, but it was enough to enjoy during the stay. Service Rather than the polished service you might expect from typical Hotel staff, the operation felt relatively casual. If you’re expecting luxury-Hotel-level professionalism and hospitality, it may feel different from what you imagine. Dining The cuisine is French-inspired and makes good use of local ingredients; overall, everything was delicious. That said, in the latter courses it felt less about premium ingredients themselves and more about creatively finishing dishes with comparatively lower-cost items. Considering the restaurant on its own, my satisfaction level felt around JPY 20,000 per person. Overall Review While the dining was excellent, considering this as “staying as an overnight guest,” I felt the price was somewhat high when factoring in the Room and overall Facilities. On the other hand, if viewed more like usage rights or a membership-style Accommodation rather than a standard Hotel stay, your perspective may differ. Overall, this seems better suited for those who want to enjoy quiet surroundings along with dining and an Onsen experience than for those seeking a distinctly luxurious getaway or highly attentive service.

We stayed here during Obon while visiting family graves in Kunisaki. Thanks to the dog shower room, our dog could play to the fullest at the walkable sandy beach and the spacious dog run. Since we were arriving late this time, we didn’t have dinner, but it was very helpful at breakfast that dogs are welcome in the restaurant and there are free-to-use carts (for large dogs). Next time, we’ll definitely enjoy the luxurious dinner! It was a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

My family and I stayed here for a fireworks festival. We were worried about parking, so we called before our stay to confirm, and we could already feel the hospitality even before arriving. On the day, when we arrived at the Hotel, they kindly showed us where to park. Thank you very much. Only a smoking Room was available, but there was no noticeable smell, and an air purifier had been set up in the Room, so we were able to stay comfortably. The large public bath (for women—and maybe for men as well?) is managed with a key at the front desk, so there was no situation where it was too crowded to enter. With good timing, I was able to use the newly renovated bath almost privately. All of the staff were very kind, and it felt like visiting relatives or friends. I would like to stay again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

If I had to mention a downside, the exterior and interior felt a bit worn, which made the atmosphere seem a little intimidating. However, the bath was clean and the Onsen water flows continuously, so it was amazing! The meals were delicious with no complaints, and since it was a buffet we really enjoyed it! One more thing… it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t connect external devices to the TV. It can’t be helped given the Facility setup, but the game console we brought ended up being useless. We also wanted to mirror our smartphone screen on the TV, but that wasn’t possible either. We played cards and table tennis with my siblings instead, but it was still a little disappointing.

Although the building is very old, everything was thoroughly cleaned throughout, and I had a very pleasant stay. All of the staff were so polite it almost made me feel bad. There are also staff members who speak excellent English, so international guests should have no trouble. The meals were generous—perhaps a slightly smaller Plan could be offered as well. The open-air bath, the large public bath, and the in-Room bath (a bit small) all had wonderful water quality. I stayed for two nights from Friday, and quite often it felt like we had the baths to ourselves. For international guests, there seemed to be some confusion about where to take off slippers and how to use the small towel. If you could provide explanations not only in words but also with simple illustrations and written instructions, I think everyone could enjoy bathing more comfortably (for example: dry your body before returning to the changing area—sometimes the floor ends up quite wet). It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing. This is a Ryokan I would like to visit again to support them going forward. On departure they kindly prepared to drive me to the station, but since I still had time before my train I decided to walk instead—and I was surprised when they even apologized for that. Everyone was truly kind. Lastly, the attendant in charge of my Room was friendly and helpful, leaving me with an excellent overall impression. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

It was my first time visiting the Ariake Sea in Saga Prefecture, and I was treated to a stunning open-air bath and excellent cuisine. I felt truly sorry for not being able to finish all the delicious food. Thank you to all the Ryokan staff for their warm hospitality. Although the Hotel is old, it has charm, and I found it perfect. I would love to stay here again next time.

Returning here after 4.5 years due to a job transfer, I can say I was very satisfied overall. First of all, there are plenty of private reservable baths, so I was able to relax without any waiting time. Meals are served in a private dining room, so even as a solo traveler I could eat at my own pace and feel completely at ease. One thing I thought would have been nice is an electric kettle for hot water, but considering the great value—luxurious meals and free private baths—I was more than satisfied. I look forward to staying again. Thank you very much.

The Facility was relatively compact and convenient for dining, driving, and everything else. The Room was clean and well-maintained. Perhaps because it was a relatively quiet period in October, the bathhouse was also empty, allowing for a comfortable experience. I wondered if it would be cramped during summer vacation. Even though it's called a large bathhouse, it's not that large. Dinner was very delicious. Breakfast was a buffet, and while it was a bit disappointing, considering the price, it was perfectly fine. All the staff members were very nice. It was my first time in Amami, and I was surprised by the mountains more than I imagined, but only the Hotel gave me a sense of the tropics. It was nice being close to the airport. There was also a convenience store-like place nearby, so I don't think you'll have any trouble. The souvenir shop inside the Hotel wasn't more expensive than others, so I could purchase with peace of mind.

For a Room of this grade with an open-air bath and two meals included at this price, I personally have no complaints. If I had to mention one drawback, I could hear conversations from the neighboring Room quite clearly.

I booked a plan that included dinner. The room was just the right size for spending time with my family. The shower room in the room felt a bit small, but there were no issues using it. Dinner was excellent, with plenty of seafood to enjoy. There was so much food that we couldn't finish it all... We felt sorry about that. Overall, we were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

We stayed at UKAN on the BBQ course Plan. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but they let us park from around 2:00 PM, so we could play in the sea right in front. There is a swimming beach next to the Accommodation, and it felt like it continued all the way to the front of where we stayed. It seemed safe to swim; there were quite a few people at the main beach, but right in front was quiet and mostly just for guests. The slope from sand to water is a bit steep, so small children may need extra attention, but it’s still fine to enjoy. There’s a breakwater at the edge of the swimming area where you can fish. That was our main purpose this time, and we were happy we got to enjoy fishing. The Room was generally clean. There was a stain left by previous guests that seemed to be removed around check-in time. We appreciated their effort to keep things clean, though it would have been even better if it had been finished before check-in. For the BBQ, the portions looked small based on how they were plated, so we went out to buy extra food at a convenience store—but in the end it was enough. Breakfast might feel a little light. The BBQ Facility includes a grill and table and is basically sufficient, but better lighting, table settings, and an improved BBQ area layout would likely increase satisfaction. As for insects, since it’s between mountains and the sea, I think it can’t really be helped. If you keep everything closed they generally don’t come in. However, because you go back and forth between the Room during BBQ time, some inevitably got inside. If insect control could be improved further, it would feel more reassuring. (I’m not too bothered by bugs, but my wife felt a bit uneasy.) The air conditioning in the Room was comfortable, but there was an odor in the washroom—maybe humidity or drainage—that bothered me. Overall we were satisfied despite these points. We’d like to stay again soon.

We stayed here after the Neputa Festival and because we planned to sightsee along the west coast of Aomori the next day, and found it very convenient. Since it was after the festival ended, we arrived around 10:00 p.m., but even though it was described as a light meal, we were able to enjoy a satisfying dinner. The Facility and amenities were solidly built, and you could feel their age. As a resort property, it also let us experience Aomori’s great nature, and the Onsen was excellent. If I had to mention one thing, I didn’t mind clearing away our dishes ourselves, but this wasn’t clearly communicated, and there were also a few staff members who seemed somewhat inexperienced. Overall it offered excellent value for money, and I would like to stay again.

We ended up staying an extra two nights after the Nagaoka Fireworks. The location is very convenient for street food in Teradomari, fishing at the fishing port, and nearby beaches. The Facility itself is new and clean. The parking instructions were a bit hard to understand, but there is also parking in front of the Facility, and it seems fine to park there. The bath is not an Onsen, but if you look around, there are plenty of hot springs nearby. Highly recommended for international guests as well. We would love to stay again!

I really enjoyed the Hoshino world. It has a strong, distinctive style (in a good way). Since Taketomi was a more traditional, mellow experience, that may be why it stood out even more this time. The deep-sea-like reception area, Rooms without an entryway, and a dining table with a sink were all surprising in terms of the facilities—and uniquely fun. There are many different activity programs as well. The performers in “Hamauri Ashibi” were bright, entertaining, and wonderful, and Ms. M’s “Garden Tour” guide was warm and enjoyable too. Going forward, the key will be how well you can communicate and share with guests that your interpretation of “Hoshinoya luxury,” including personal service, is not the conventional approach. When you’ve become the undisputed “top tier,” please let me stay again!

The property is only about six months old, so the building, rooms, and pool were very clean! There was a washing machine available, but unfortunately, there was no drying rack. In terms of security, while the outer door could be locked, there was no wall next to it as the adjacent area is open. It felt like someone could enter if they wanted to. Although security was a slight concern, the kids seemed very happy and said they would love to come back again!

It was very good. The Room was clean, and above all, the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were always smiling and very helpful, and I would like to visit again.
