We visited this Accommodation for the first time in March after it received the strongest “Absolutely!” recommendation among several options, and it was the first time in a while that we felt completely satisfied in every respect. From the courteous and accurate communication during the Reservation process, to the atmosphere, use of space, staff professionalism, and cuisine—everything met our expectations. With an Accommodation of this caliber, I wasn’t particularly worried about the food, and I had already seen photos of the interior on the website so I assumed there would be no surprises. In the end, however, what matters most is “people.” With group stays, requests often cause inconvenience and there are usually one or two small oversights on the day—but here everything was perfect. This time we came as individuals. We returned both to confirm our impressions and to be moved all over again. The entrance—still fresh in my memory as a favorite—is spacious and quiet. It harmoniously blends cutting-edge design with traditional charm despite being complete opposites. Personally, it may be my favorite part. Our Room this time was more compact than last time but more than sufficient for one night. The open-air bath is also spacious and easy to use even though it has privacy screening. The private dining room felt almost too large for just two people. The timing of each course and the staff’s warm smiles made for a truly comfortable—and delicious—meal. Overall, what stayed with me is how rare this Facility is: an excellent balance of new and old, genuine warmth from people, and employees who approach their work with sincerity—all coming together in perfect harmony. Newer Accommodations with a full resort feel are wonderful in their own way as well; however, as an Onsen Accommodation, this is a place I can confidently recommend as a distinctly Japanese stay where timeless tradition is beautifully integrated. My first trip to Tottori. I was exhausted after the scorching heat at the Tottori Sand Dunes, but I was soothed by the Onsen, a wonderful dinner, and hospitality-filled service. The open-air bath in our detached Room was very spacious, and I enjoyed it many times. I especially loved the shiso pickled scallions served at dinner and bought some at the shop. I was surprised to find such a wonderful Onsen Accommodation so close to the station. I’d love to visit again.

This is an Onsen Accommodation you’ll want to return to again and again, with truly outstanding dedication to cuisine. Every visit leaves me thinking, “I’m so glad I came back.” Above all, I look forward to the meals each time. They are meticulous not only about the ingredients, but also about the dashi and even the grilling. The dashi is made with bonito flakes carefully shaved in-house at this Ryokan and natural true kombu kelp. The aroma and depth of flavor you notice from the very first sip are on a different level from ordinary dishes—you can taste the care that goes into it. The grilled items are also exceptional. They grill over binchotan charcoal sourced directly from a brewery in Wakayama. The eel in particular is superb: crisp, fragrant skin with tender, fluffy flesh. It’s delicious in a way that clearly reflects the chef’s precise technique and timing. I was also delighted to enjoy premium ingredients that are hard to come by in everyday life—Ginjiro uni (sea urchin), Saikyo-style hamo (pike conger), kue (longtooth grouper), Deshiko eel, and Shine Muscat “Hareou” grapes. And it’s not just about the food. The proprietress and all of the staff are genuinely warm and pleasant; their kindness comes through naturally when you interact with them. Their heartfelt hospitality is what makes this Accommodation so comfortable. The Onsen, the cuisine, and the hospitality—everything here makes you want to come back.

From July 20, we stayed for two nights again. We traveled by train with two dogs. We’ve gotten completely used to it now, and that’s all thanks to the warmth and kindness of everyone at the Ryokan. I couldn’t make it without the Shuttle Service from the station. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful Shuttle Service. The meals reflected the season, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I rated the bath 4 stars because the stairs to and from the bath, and the airflow around that area, felt a bit uncomfortable for this time of year. The bath temperature was perfect for me. Thank you so much to all the staff for your kindness. We’ll be back again.

Perched on a hill near Kawana Station, this Accommodation has a wonderful sense of charm. Even though it is upscale, the attendants were warm and approachable, making our stay truly comfortable. The Onsen baths are available both indoors and outdoors, and we could enjoy them at the same time; the water quality was excellent. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding—as expected of a renowned Ryokan—and we enjoyed it so much that we even had the late-night snack. The peaceful atmosphere, with occasional birdsong, was so soothing that we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return.

The staff’s hospitality was outstanding. The Room was clean, and the bath was very relaxing. There were plenty of drinks and snacks provided, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the rice-based dishes.

The relaxing Facility, the charming Room, the wonderful cuisine, and the silky Onsen I could stay in forever—everything was exceptional. The staff’s warm smiles and attentive hospitality made it even better. This is the first Accommodation where I truly didn’t want to leave because it felt so comfortable. I would love to visit again. At IKYU, it was categorized as casual, but we enjoyed a luxurious Onsen experience that felt like staying at a private villa. The Room had a spacious washroom, and the toilet being separate was also convenient. The heater in the Room was turned on in advance, so we stayed warm without needing to use the air conditioner. Various thoughtful touches were noticeable throughout, and I heard that adjustments are made regularly. It had such a pleasant atmosphere that made us wish to stay longer. Here are some points of concern: It would be helpful if spare foot mats were provided for the private bath so they can be replaced after use. The abundance of wash towels was very convenient. A single fresh flower in the Room would add charm since there were flowers in the dining area. During meal service, providing more details about local ingredients or cooking methods would be appreciated by travelers—it may require extra effort from staff but makes for enjoyable conversations while savoring meals. Having a menu list would also enhance the dining experience further.

Everything was excellent. Thank you for accommodating my allergies at both breakfast and dinner. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and I truly enjoyed the food. The Room was clean, and being able to smoke on the terrace made my stay very comfortable. The staff were all very kind and attentive, and the private open-air bath with its spectacular view as well as the in-Room open-air bath were incredibly relaxing—making it a wonderful holiday.

We had seen a Review saying the pool temperature was low, and since it was a chilly day we were worried, but it was comfortably warm. The first-floor flooring is also not slippery, so I think it’s dog-friendly. If possible, it would have been even better if the second-floor flooring were made of similarly non-slip materials. The quality of the free-flowing Onsen water was great as well, and it was a wonderful Accommodation that makes not only dogs but also people want to come back.

I stayed around April for a live concert trip. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and attentive, and the hospitality was excellent. They kindly agreed to store my luggage, which was a great help. I believe I chose the lowest-grade Room, but it was very spacious, spotless throughout, and comfortable. When I visit the Kansai area again, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I was able to step away from my busy daily routine and enjoy a calm, high-quality 3-day, 2-night stay. The front desk staff’s polished service was truly pleasant, and I felt reassured from the moment I arrived. The Room was kept beautifully clean and well arranged, and I could sense thoughtful attention to detail throughout. I believe this is an appealing Accommodation, perfect for adults who want to relax quietly in Kamakura. Also, the email replies to my inquiries (before my stay) were very prompt, which was extremely helpful.

As our dog entered its ninth month, we stayed at a Resort Hotel for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. We were warmly welcomed by dog-loving staff. We stayed in a Garden Moderate Room on the first floor, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—not only the Facility and private dog run, but also detailed amenities for dogs. The Room was clean and comfortable with considerate touches for owners as well, and we were very satisfied with the delicious meals. After breakfast, we could take a walk to nearby Kumoba Pond before check-out, so the location is great too. Since Regina Resort seems to have locations in various areas, we’d like to visit not only Karuizawa but other destinations as well. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.

We stay here mainly for Arashi no Yu, and it’s always one amazing experience after another—thank you again this time. The table tennis & darts Room was a hidden gem, and the kids were thrilled! If I had one request, it would be to have some board games the kids can enjoy (even something like UNO) in the table tennis Room or at the front desk—then children wouldn’t get bored even during a Multiple Night Stay. In any case, thank you as always for another wonderful stay.

Quiet and reassuring. Impeccably clean. From the stairs to the lobby, every space reflects the owner’s attention to detail. My favorite is the wraparound balcony—spending Kyoto’s magic hour here always leaves me feeling quietly happy.

It was a wonderful Ryokan. I loved the Onsen water quality, and I was able to relax completely in the open-air bath on the rooftop. The meals were also very delicious. You could really feel the chef’s care in each carefully prepared dish; I hope the rice served will be of a standard that matches it. I couldn’t say it was at its best, so I think it could be improved further by adjusting how it’s kept warm, for example. It was an excellent Accommodation.

In mid-May, the three of us—my mother in her late 80s and my husband and I—stayed here. Throughout our stay, the staff, including the proprietress, showed thoughtful care for my elderly mother, and we are truly grateful. The cuisine made the most of fresh seafood from Ise Bay, Matsusaka beef, and seasonal vegetables from Mie Prefecture. Each dish was carefully crafted and delicious; even my mother, who usually eats little, enjoyed her meals. The bath overlooking the beautifully maintained Japanese garden featured a gentle Onsen that felt kind to the skin, and we were able to relax and enjoy it many times during our stay. We stayed in “Tochi,” and were able to spend a comfortable time at ease in a Room richly finished with wood and on an open veranda. The Japanese garden was stunning; there were many hydrangea buds during our visit, and imagining how beautiful they would be in bloom made it all the more disappointing to leave without seeing them—but it was still an outstanding trip.

A clean Room and a spacious large public bath. The breakfast was delicious and enjoyable as well. I only regret that I arrived early, so I could have relaxed more.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. Since the Hotel is located in a villa area, it was very quiet, and we even saw squirrels in the trees outside the Room window. The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful. Although this is a Plan without meals, light snacks such as sweets and cup noodles are available next to the front desk. In the morning, bread and rice are also provided. We had a wonderful stay and would like to use this Accommodation again.

I had a wonderful stay. I accidentally arrived at Glover Garden, so I called the Hotel and they kindly helped me. When I entered, they greeted me very politely: “Were you the one who called earlier? We’ve been waiting for you—you arrived sooner than we expected.” After that, every staff member continued to treat me with warm hospitality. That alone made me feel glad I chose this Hotel. In the lobby there are two counters—one open until 10:30 p.m. and another available all day—where you can enjoy as many drinks and snacks as you like. Since I arrived late, I do regret not getting there earlier so I could have tried more from the limited-time counter. The braised pork and chocolate were delicious; there was plenty of braised pork left, so if I hadn’t eaten too much at my dinner gathering, I could have finished it all… maybe next time. Still, the all-day counter was more than enough to enjoy. The lounge also has a great selection of books, so I stayed up a bit reading while enjoying tea and sweets from the all-day counter. It was such a relaxing time. Breakfast in a steamer basket was comforting and delicious as well—the yuzu miso was especially amazing. They also had loquat and mandarin drinks. I expected them to be sweet, but they tasted properly like tea with just a subtle hint of flavor. Personally (with my sweet tooth), the mandarin juice added to the all-day counter in the morning was particularly tasty. There is no Onsen (as expected), and while this is clear if you check in advance, toothbrushes are not provided for sustainability reasons. However, there’s a convenience store about 50 meters away from the Hotel, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. I’ll definitely come again! Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.
