I had heard that my parents, who are from Ehime, used to stay here when they returned home. When my mother passed away, our family made a Reservation the day before. We were truly grateful that you prepared an offering meal for my mother both in the Room and at mealtimes. Although the staff member in charge was young, they treated us with just the right sense of distance. As there were six of us, you arranged a spacious tatami dining room for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cuisine. I did feel that the selection of alcoholic drinks was a little limited. I thought it would have been even better with more wine options or easy-to-drink sours. Breakfast was wonderful! There was nothing too heavy for the morning—thick-cut salmon, rolled omelet, yudofu tofu, and more— a menu so satisfying that I ended up having another bowl of rice. The “Jinchoge” Room was fun—when we opened doors that felt like something out of a ninja house, it was “here too,” and “here too.” While more and more innovative Accommodations are appearing these days, this is an Accommodation that steadfastly preserves traditional charm and protects Dogo. Especially in times like these, I sincerely hope it will continue to remain. I no longer have any particular reason to visit Ehime, but I would love to return so I can feel close to my parents again. I stayed here with my wife for our wedding anniversary. The Room and the in-room bath were very clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy a wonderful time. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious no matter what we tried, and we were truly impressed. All of the staff were kind, and greeted us every time we saw them, so even though it was just a one-night stay, we felt very comfortable throughout. If we have the opportunity, I sincerely hope to stay here again. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience.

This Japanese-style Ryokan is one where you take off your shoes at the entrance, and all the staff were kind and welcoming with warm smiles. The sea is nearby and could be seen from the large public bath as well. The indirect lighting was lovely, but it felt a little dark for someone as timid as me. I forgot something behind, and thank you for carefully wrapping it up and sending it to me.

We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary trip. The meals were simply outstanding. Not only the food but also the tableware was beautiful, and my wife—who loves dishes—was so inspired that she bought lots of Kutani ware during our sightseeing in Kanazawa the next day. It was my wife’s first time in Kanazawa, and she seems to have fallen in love with the city. With only four Rooms, it was quiet, and the bath was excellent as well. We truly enjoyed a relaxing adults-only getaway. We would love to return again, not just for anniversaries.

I wanted to support a locally run, family-owned Accommodation, so I chose Irifune this time. The moment I stepped inside from the entrance, I was thrilled! After leaving the large public bath in the morning, I relaxed in the lobby with a cup of coffee. Spending unhurried time in the lobby while enjoying the traditional old house atmosphere was wonderful. The Room, the private bath in the Room, and the meals—everything was outstanding! I also purchased a pair of geta sandals. From now on, every time I wear them, I’ll remember Irifune and enjoy that lingering feeling in my everyday life. If I use them as indoor slippers, I’ll have more chances to wear them, so I plan to use them indoors. To all the staff: when I come back to Kumamoto, Irifune will be my only choice for a Reservation! Although this is a historic Onsen Ryokan, the property is impeccably maintained throughout, and we felt thoughtful attention to detail and quality in every corner. Our family of four enjoyed a truly wonderful stay with dinner and breakfast included. Above all, the Room was fantastic! It was very spacious, with plenty of room for each of us to relax comfortably, while also being perfect for gathering together as a family to chat and enjoy tea and sweets. The in-room beverages were also well stocked—the coffee and tea were excellent—and of course the private open-air bath in the guest room was amazing. We had both dinner and breakfast in a private dining room. The staff member who took care of us was highly professional and kind; everything from the timing of each course to the explanations of every dish and overall service was flawless, allowing us to enjoy our meals comfortably from start to finish. And finally, the greatest highlight here is definitely the Onsen! There are many different types of baths on site—so many that we seriously discussed “the best order” to try them all (laughs)! We were so busy enjoying the Onsen that we didn’t have time to relax with drinks in the lounge. That just gives us an excuse to come back. In short, our family of four thoroughly enjoyed this stay with dinner and breakfast included. The Room, cuisine, service, and Onsen—all exceeded our expectations. This Accommodation comes highly recommended for anyone who loves hot springs or wants a relaxing time at an Onsen Ryokan. We would love to stay again!

Both dinner and breakfast (I chose the Japanese set) were perfectly seasoned and very delicious. The conger eel fritters were especially outstanding. The after-bath ice cream, morning milk, and complimentary drinks were also plentiful, so I could enjoy them throughout the day. The amenities were well stocked too, including Sekkisei toner, emulsion, facial wash, and cleansing products, so there was no need to bring my own.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. The open-air bath and toilet in the Room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. We were also surprised that even the indoor bath was an Onsen. As we traveled with our grandchild, the pool was wonderful and our grandchild was delighted. Since this time was only a one-night stay, everyone was very disappointed, and we are thinking of staying longer next year. Although one of us became unwell, thank you sincerely for your attentive support. The Facility is new, yet it is a wonderful Accommodation that preserves traditional Japanese hospitality and service.

Although the Facility is quite spacious, it was thoroughly clean throughout, and we had a very comfortable stay. We traveled with two children, and we truly appreciate the kind assistance we received at the dining venue as well. We would definitely like to stay again!

I stayed at this Ryokan specifically to enjoy ayu, as it is famous for its ayu cuisine. At dinner, a wide variety of ayu dishes were served, and I thoroughly enjoyed more than 10 fish. The most delicious was the ayu rice; even though I was already full, I ended up having two bowls. The non-ayu dishes also looked excellent, so next time I plan to try dishes other than ayu. The proprietress, the attendants, and the head chef were all friendly, and I had a wonderful time. It was a pity that the bath was not an Onsen, but it was spacious enough for more than the number of guests staying there, so I could soak at leisure and ease my travel fatigue. As this is a historic culinary Ryokan, you can’t expect modern comforts; however, it is well maintained in its own way and offers a different kind of comfort from today’s luxury Ryokan. This Accommodation lets you experience the comfort of a traditional Japanese inn.

Although it was hot outside in summer, the Hotel Room felt fresh and comfortable. With a semi-open-air Onsen bath, we relaxed and toasted as a couple while looking out at the deep-blue sea with a cold canned beer in hand—it made us feel truly happy. We enjoyed the Onsen many times until around 10:30 a.m. the next morning. Since we are both over 60, we were able to stay at a discounted rate. For dinner, we went to the neighboring seafood market “Mushigamaya,” which is also highly recommended. The Hotel breakfast can be delivered to your Room; it was delicious and my wife was very pleased. We would like to stay again.

Because the Reviews were highly rated, I had wanted to visit for a long time. When I actually stayed, it was exactly as the Reviews said, and I felt truly relaxed. The iron-rich Onsen was wonderful, and the Room was very clean; throughout the property I could also sense the owner’s thoughtful touches, which made my stay extremely comfortable. I also appreciated the staff’s respectful sense of distance—it really helped someone like me who tends to get nervous. The meals were outstanding; I’ve never had fish this fresh before, and the meat was also incredibly delicious—I was genuinely impressed! Breakfast was comforting and delicious as well, and I enjoyed a wonderful time right up to the very end. It was a lovely one-night, two-day stay. Thank you very much. I will definitely come again!

This was my first time staying here, and I’m glad I got to enjoy so many extraordinary experiences. The coastal drive in a Rolls-Royce—my first time riding in one—and the nighttime laser message show were beautiful and truly moving. From the terrace, I was soothed by the view of the Pacific Ocean just beyond and the sound of the waves. The food was also delicious. All of the staff were friendly and very kind. I made my next Reservation during my stay, so I’m looking forward to coming back again. Thank you very much.

From spring through late autumn, you can stay with peace of mind without worrying about road conditions. As a compact Accommodation, it offers reliable service, an Onsen, meals, and great value overall. The private bath is free to use with no Reservation required—if the key is in the designated place, you can use it right away—making it an easy-to-understand and fair system for guests. The public bath is not very large but includes a sauna, and you can relax in the silky Onsen at your leisure, making this an Accommodation you can count on anytime.

The staff’s service was courteous and flawless from our arrival to our departure. The meals were generous, and we ended up eating too much. The bath in the Room was an Onsen where we could relax and soak for as long as we liked, so we didn’t mind the view outside the window. The road noise was a little loud, but it wasn’t noticeable inside the Room. One disappointment was that the bed was a narrow single, and I worried about falling off.

My mother and I stayed here together. Each dish was truly delicious, and we were also delighted by the beautiful tableware, which we were told is sourced from various parts of Kyushu—making it a feast for the eyes as well. With the open-air bath surrounded by nature and the bath in our Room, we were able to relax to our heart’s content and enjoy an exceptional time. We loved the in-room bath so much that no matter how many times we used it, it never felt like enough. The Room was clean and very comfortable. This Accommodation offers outstanding comfort. We would love to stay again.

The food quality is exceptional—everything we tried was truly delicious. The breakfast buffet is not only tasty, but the staff also keep it clean and well organized at all times, so you can enjoy it comfortably. The Room facilities are not brand-new, but everything—including the bathrooms—is thoroughly cleaned, making for a comfortable stay. From the doorman onward, many of the staff are incredibly kind and greet you with warm smiles, which makes you feel welcome. Rather than staying just to visit a theme park, this is a Hotel that makes you want to stay simply because you want to stay at Hotel Okura—a place full of heartfelt hospitality.

We had a very pleasant stay at this long-established Ryokan, with attentive service, carefully prepared dishes, spacious rooms, and tasteful furnishings that were elegant without being overdone. We especially loved the open-air bath with just the right temperature, set close to the mountains. We would definitely like to stay again.

This was a Hotel I had wanted to stay at for a long time. At check-in, I was offered an upgraded La Vista Room. The moment I entered the room and saw Sakurajima and Mt. Kaimondake side by side in the center of the window, it was truly moving as someone from Kagoshima Prefecture. The hospitality, meals, Onsen, and Facility exceeded my expectations. I would definitely like to stay here again, and I want to recommend this place to friends and acquaintances.
