The building isn’t new, but it was clearly well maintained and very clean! It was a pet-friendly Room, but there was no noticeable odor at all. We were very satisfied with the Room!! The pool is available from 9:00 to 17:00, but since check-out is at 10:00, using the pool in the morning feels a bit rushed. I thought it would be nicer if check-out were at 11:00 so we could relax more. Next time, I’d like to come back for a Multiple Night Stay and take it easy!

I wanted to support a locally run, family-owned Accommodation, so I chose Irifune this time. The moment I stepped inside from the entrance, I was thrilled! After leaving the large public bath in the morning, I relaxed in the lobby with a cup of coffee. Spending unhurried time in the lobby while enjoying the traditional old house atmosphere was wonderful. The Room, the private bath in the Room, and the meals—everything was outstanding! I also purchased a pair of geta sandals. From now on, every time I wear them, I’ll remember Irifune and enjoy that lingering feeling in my everyday life. If I use them as indoor slippers, I’ll have more chances to wear them, so I plan to use them indoors. To all the staff: when I come back to Kumamoto, Irifune will be my only choice for a Reservation! Thank you for taking such great care of me! Thank you very much!

This was our first overnight stay since our baby was born. To show my appreciation to my wife, who works so hard every day caring for our child, I was looking for an Accommodation where we could relax with a baby without worry—and that’s how we found KURO. Upon arrival, we were impressed by how spacious and spotless the Room was. On top of that, you had prepared a play mat for the baby, a nap futon, and even toys in advance—we were truly touched by your thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was absolutely delicious and very filling, yet well balanced throughout the meal. We even finished all the rice balls served as a late-night snack between the two of us. We were also able to enjoy the in-room open-air bath at our own pace without worrying about anyone around us. It was wonderful to see my usually busy wife fully relax and feel refreshed. This time we stayed in the Star Room, but once our child turns one and is more active, we’d love to try the Garden Room next time as well. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay!

My 88-year-old mother, my sister and I, my daughter, and two grandchildren (six of us across four generations) stayed one night at Atami Korakuen Hotel. With such a wide age range, everyone was able to relax comfortably, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The Shuttle Service bus from Atami Station to the Hotel was extremely helpful. Our Room was an 18-tatami Japanese-style room with large windows, so we could also enjoy the beautiful nighttime view of Atami. The breakfast and dinner buffet offered a great variety—from dishes my mother enjoys to kid-friendly options—so everyone could enjoy the meals regardless of age. The freshly grilled dried horse mackerel in particular was delicious. The large public bath was well equipped with a baby bath and baby soap, so we felt at ease bathing even with our young grandchildren. We truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. When we asked the front desk to arrange a taxi for getting around, they responded quickly and it helped us a lot. This is a Hotel I can wholeheartedly recommend to families traveling with babies or elderly relatives. We would love to stay again as a family. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

We stayed for two nights in late August on a family trip. On the first night, I became unwell (likely heat exhaustion due to Kyoto’s climate and lack of sleep), and you kindly adjusted how dinner was served. You also prepared an ice pack and cold water, and all the staff offered warm words afterward as well—I truly caused you a lot of trouble. The next day we returned to the Accommodation early after sightseeing, but housekeeping was completed quickly and the Room was restored to a comfortable state. Our child had brought a favorite stuffed toy, and seeing it seated on the sofa warmed our hearts. I was also impressed that all staff had shared information such as my avoiding caffeine and our child’s preferences, and handled everything so naturally with thoughtful care. The timing of your check-ins and sense of distance were just right, and we experienced truly wonderful hospitality. We used the Room as a family of three (our child is in 6th grade), and it felt neither too large nor too small. Having a bath in the Room was especially nice because we could use it whenever we wanted. The water temperature was set to 41°C, which feels hot in summer, but we could adjust it by adding water. The changing area had floor heating, which helped prevent us from getting too chilled after bathing. Towels and water were replenished as well, so even if we sweated after bathing, it was great to be able to use clean towels and clothes. Also, there was a lovely fragrance the moment we entered the Room, with incense throughout the building—these scent touches made everything feel special and out of the ordinary. Every meal was truly delicious. Our child has many dislikes when it comes to seafood, but you accommodated this thoughtfully; plus, both days’ menus were different so we could enjoy variety. In particular, the charcoal-grilled style dishes along with Anto-jiru soup, takikomi gohan (seasoned rice), and Wakan 18 tea were excellent—our child loved them too. Breakfast also came with many rice accompaniments that were all delicious. The soups and dashi-based dishes especially felt very “Kyoto,” which we appreciated. Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took care of us during our stay. We made wonderful memories in Kyoto thanks to you. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again as a family.

My first long-awaited trip to Hagi, and this Hotel stands in a quiet town. Nothing flashy—simply the best in the most classic way. Every dish was delicious, and all the staff were kind and charming; my spouse and I were truly impressed. The bath was excellent as well. Above all, everything was spotless and impeccably clean down to the smallest details. We also appreciated the warm send-off at departure.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. In short, it was a wonderful stay that far exceeded our expectations, and we are truly grateful. Not only were the atmosphere of the Accommodation and the Onsen excellent, but above all, we were deeply moved by the warm and attentive hospitality of all the staff. They took great care of us throughout our stay, and my husband kept saying how glad he was that we came. Each dish was prepared with great care, beautifully presented, and perfect for a special-occasion dinner. Thanks to you, we were able to create unforgettable birthday memories. We would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

This was my first time staying here. The Room was a comfortable size even for three people, and we could see the sea diagonally across from the window. There is a smoking area on each floor. It was a bit hot outside during the day, but while having a smoke and looking at the mountains, we saw a Taiwanese squirrel dart by, black swallowtails fluttering around, and kites flying in the blue summer sky. Since it’s a retro-style Hotel, it gave us a pleasantly nostalgic feeling. My companion tried the set menu of an enzyme bath and foot reflexology massage and said it felt amazing! The enzyme bath was spacious, and the staff were very polite and kind—it seemed to warm up and relax both body and mind. The atmosphere in the Room is calm as well. Amenities like toothbrushes and toilet paper were properly provided. At night, the corridor outside the guest rooms had an Italian-style vibe—I couldn’t help murmuring, “How lovely!” The whole Hotel isn’t flashy, but it’s clean, quiet, spacious, and relaxing. After checkout we all agreed—“That was really nice.” It became a wonderful memory for us. I’d like to stop by again. Thank you for taking care of us.

The hot spring quality was excellent, and the view from the open-air bath was wonderful. The staff’s hospitality was also very satisfying. The food was delicious, and I think this Accommodation offers great value for money. In January, I’d like to come to Hokkaido for a Multiple Night Stay.

This was my first stay here. I had no idea there was such a wonderful Onsen Ryokan less than an hour from home. The service was excellent, and we truly enjoyed the delicious meals. In particular, the steamed dish with spiny lobster, abalone, and beef was outstanding. The bath in the Room was also wonderful, and I also used the day-use Onsen. After dinner, we relaxed in the Room watching Netflix and YouTube, and the late-night snack was delicious as well. If I had to mention one request, it would be that breakfast starts a little late. As I’ve gotten older I wake up early, so I’d appreciate it if breakfast could start sometime after 7:00 a.m. That said... what disappointed me happened after breakfast. My one real hobby is watching Major League Baseball. These days, the only TV program I watch is MLB on BS channels. Since check-out is at 11:00 a.m., I thought I’d be able to relax at the Ryokan and enjoy baseball until then, so I didn’t record it at home before coming. However... when I tried to watch on the big screen by pressing the BS button, there was no BS broadcast available. I was honestly surprised—I assumed BS channels would be standard at any Ryokan (that assumption is on me). I don’t mind if Netflix isn’t available; but at minimum, I would like BS channels to be accessible. So overall it would have been perfect except for this point, but for Facility/equipment and overall satisfaction I rated it 4 stars.

We checked in after doing some shopping at a nearby AEON. The Accommodation had everything we needed for cooking, including a pot and even a small hot plate, so it was easy to prepare meals (though you’ll need to bring your own seasonings). Complimentary drinks were also stocked in the refrigerator. Since it was our child’s birthday, we projected a birthday video with the projector and celebrated—it was a huge hit. The third-floor bath was spacious, and the Onsen water made it incredibly relaxing. The first-floor sauna was low-temperature, so my husband found it a bit mild, but I enjoyed taking my time and felt very satisfied. There was also a table on the balcony where we could relax, so we had breakfast there. Overall, everything was very clean, and having a washing machine was really helpful—everything about our stay was great. It’s an Accommodation we’d love to visit again.

I stayed here for one night during the May holiday period. The room was very clean, which was great. From the 15th floor, I could only catch a brief view of the Northern Alps in the evening and early morning, but if I’m lucky enough to get clear weather next time, it would be an outstanding stay. Breakfast was delicious as well—these days many Hotels seem to be putting more effort into their food, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, this is a highly rated Hotel. I hear it will relaunch this autumn as an international luxury Hotel brand, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Everything—from the Facility and hospitality to the dining—exceeded our expectations, and it was a stay that our whole family genuinely enjoyed. Our child liked it so much they said, “I want to come again,” and we felt it is a Hotel that’s perfect for a family trip. This time we stayed for one night and two days because we were also staying at another Hotel, but considering the well-equipped Facility and services, I think a Multiple Night Stay would let you appreciate this Hotel’s appeal even more. Next time, we would definitely like to stay for multiple nights. [Club Lounge] The staff at check-in were extremely courteous, and we were able to enjoy sweets and drinks while completing the procedures. They also prepared coloring sets for each child in our party, which left a great impression as our child was able to spend the time without getting bored. [Guest Room: Ryukyu Suite / Beach View] The in-room refrigerator was a large model with completely separate fridge and freezer compartments, making it very convenient even for families. The toilet was modern and very clean, so it was comfortable to use. Having an in-room drum-type washer/dryer is especially helpful for longer stays or trips with children. Also, because there is a tatami room, children can relax safely lying down; we felt it’s a guest room where families can truly unwind together. Since it’s on the 3rd floor, the view isn’t quite “breathtaking,” but we had no particular complaints and stayed comfortably. [Dinner: Roy’s] There was an excellent variety of sushi options, and the desserts were plentiful as well—everything was delicious. We were satisfied enough that we definitely want to dine here again next time, and I can strongly recommend it to future guests. [Breakfast: Four Seasons] As part of the club floor benefits, we could make a Reservation at check-in, which helped us avoid crowds and enter smoothly. All dishes were delicious—especially the pancakes. With seating overlooking the ocean and a great atmosphere overall, it made for a wonderful morning. [Large Public Bath] We used it around 9:00 PM. It was crowded inside, but there was always an available washing station. Towels were provided as well, which made everything comfortable. [Facilities & Amenities] While not large, there is an indoor pool; plus activities such as rock-paper-scissors stamp rallies are held too, so children won’t get bored even on rainy days. We spent comfortably everywhere—including the outdoor pool area and the beach. [What Was Disappointing] The club floor benefit “Dolphin Splash” and the suite benefit “Wake-Up Sailing” were fully booked so we couldn’t participate. Although this seems unavoidable since the website states they are first-come-first-served programs as well، I hope improvements can be made so guests are less likely to miss out on these benefits altogether.

The property was new and spotless, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you for driving us to the station—it was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious as well. Thank you very much.

I looked for a good Accommodation in Gunma, my father’s hometown, to travel with my elderly parents. My husband and I have stayed here about twice before, and I really wanted to come again, so I made a Reservation. The Room, the meals, and the service from the staff are all excellent—this is a truly wonderful Accommodation. One thing only: I knew it wasn’t barrier-free, but moving around inside the Facility was still quite demanding for my father, who cannot walk without a cane. The buildings and atmosphere are so beautiful that I wondered whether adding ramps or handrails might spoil the charm… but it was disappointing to feel that this place may be difficult to use for guests who need assistance with walking. Other than that, everything was truly outstanding, and I would love to stay again. This time we stayed in the Room called “Kanho.”

With warm smiles and heartfelt hospitality, a beautiful space blending Japanese and Western styles, and gentle Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients, our stay was truly wonderful. The Room is comfortable, combining a Japanese-style room overlooking a beautiful Japanese garden with a cozy bedroom. Thank you for such an exceptionally relaxing time, as if wrapped in a soft, gentle atmosphere.

Although I was worried about the earthquake’s impact, I decided to visit from Kumamoto Airport. Perhaps because a week had passed since the quake, I hardly noticed any effects and was able to stay with peace of mind. Above all, I was amazed by how delicious the meals were. Dinner featured duck hot pot, miso soup, and rice cooked in a traditional pot; breakfast included nori seaweed, natto, and French toast. Every dish felt heartfelt, and I ended up eating far more than I expected. The Onsen was just as described in advance and helped relieve my fatigue. It was a truly satisfying stay. Lastly, I asked about the period “.” after Seifuso’s name that had caught my attention. Despite all the hardships you have faced—including the earthquake—I was deeply moved to hear that it represents putting a “.” (period) on these hardships and creating a new Seifuso going forward. Thank you very much. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. We truly appreciate your accommodating our food allergies. The meals were absolutely delicious. The Ryokan baths, the private bath, and the public hot springs were all wonderful. It was a shame we couldn’t visit all of the public baths, but we’d love to come back and do a full hot spring tour next time! As for amenities, we didn’t have any particular issues, but I happened to forget my makeup remover and thought it would have been helpful if the Ryokan had one available. We’re grateful for the lovely time we had. Thank you very much.

I stayed with friends, and the food was so delicious that it truly made me happy. It made me want to come again with my family, and I want them to enjoy the meals too. The Room was clean, and the service was very pleasant. Since the Room we stayed in didn’t have a sofa, I felt it might be a bit difficult if I brought my elderly parents without one. Still, next time I’d like to visit with my husband and daughter.

The atmosphere was homey and very clean, and all the staff were extremely kind. It was late July, but the temperature wasn’t too high and the humidity was low, so it was very comfortable—Karuizawa really is wonderful. We stayed for two nights, but on the second night my son became unwell, and I’m very sorry for the trouble we caused. Even though it was sudden, a staff member said, “Please let us know if there’s anything we can do,” and they also helped us check out quickly that same day—thank you so much. By the next day my son was feeling better and said, “Karuizawa was fun—I want to stay at that Hotel again.” I’m also sorry this Review is so late. I will contact you again separately. There was an unexpected issue and I panicked a bit, but I made another special memory in Karuizawa after a long time. Thank you very much.
