It was a wonderful Ryokan in every respect—hospitality, open-air bath, and meals. I would stay here again.

My companion loves the Onsen here, so this is our third stay. I think we’ll come again. Thank you.

Eight of us stayed as a family in a standard Japanese-Western Room and a Japanese-Western Room with a private Onsen and sauna. The Rooms were very spacious, and even my parent with physical difficulties said the in-room Onsen and sauna were wonderful. As for the meals, I initially wondered if there would be enough, but the taste, quality, and portion size were all very satisfying. However, at the large public bath, some foreign guests were swimming in the tub and washing their faces there, and in the changing area they were using their smartphones pointed in our direction, which made me very uncomfortable (I don’t know whether they were taking photos). This is not the Hotel’s fault, but I would appreciate it if staff could make regular rounds to check and provide guidance. Even so, everyone in our family was very happy with our stay. We would definitely like to visit again.

I booked this Onsen with a scenic-view bath after it caught my eye while searching for an Accommodation. Since meals are served in the Room, I was a bit concerned about staff coming in and out, but they delivered the food outside the door, which made it much more comfortable. We also laid out our own futons, so no one entered the Room during dinner—this suited us well. It felt like that helped keep the price a bit more reasonable. Dinner had many dishes and was delicious, and we were even more satisfied with the tasty local rice. The bath was a good size and perfect for relaxing at our own pace. The Shuttle Service to the station was also very convenient. We’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here with our children and grandchildren as three generations, and it was our first time. All the staff were kind, and the meals were excellent with plenty of fresh seafood. Above all, the view from the Hotel window was beautiful. You can clearly see the sun rising over the horizon right from your Room window. The Facility did not feel brand-new, as it seems to be a renovated older Hotel, but we felt it was well worth it because the accommodation rate was very reasonable. We also enjoyed using the large public bath and open-air bath comfortably. Thank you very much.

We stayed in a detached Room. There were four of us, and it was very spacious with a beautiful interior—we were extremely satisfied. From the open-air bath on the 11th floor, we had a panoramic view of Lake Suwa. The meals also included free alcoholic beverages, and the staff were very attentive, so we had a truly wonderful time. Thank you very much.

It was a Room with an open-air bath, looking up at Gifu Castle and gazing down at the gentle flow of the Nagara River. We didn’t use the rooftop open-air bath or the large public bath—the in-Room open-air bath alone was more than enough. We also got to experience cormorant fishing, which made it feel truly special. Breakfast seemed to be Japanese-style only (?), but that was absolutely the right choice—it was delicious. It made me think, “I want to live in this Room!”

I loved Azumino when I visited three months ago, so I came back—and this time chose Accommodation Nagomino. Surrounded by vivid greenery, everything was wonderful: the scenery, the building, the Facility, the meals, and of course the baths, as well as the excellent hospitality from all the staff. We were informed in advance that due to last week’s heavy rain, the Onsen pipeline to the Accommodation had been washed away and the Onsen supply had stopped, but fortunately it was restored on this very day—what a relief! It’s not a price range we can visit often, but I would definitely like to return in another season.

This was my first stay. The Room was spacious and very comfortable. For dinner, I enjoyed Hida beef—the meat was delicious, and the fat had a pleasantly sweet flavor. The breakfast curry also contained plenty of Hida beef and was very tasty. Overall, it was a very satisfying Hotel.

We stayed at Kinugawa Onsen “Kizuna” from July 31 to August 2, 2026 (2 nights/3 days). We checked in with two adults, one child, and two Chihuahuas. I thought I had made a Reservation for a Room without an open-air bath, but due to what seemed to be a communication issue, we were instead shown to a Room with an open-air bath (a lucky surprise). Having an open-air bath in the Room meant we could enjoy the Onsen anytime, day or night, and our whole family had a truly happy time. For every meal (breakfast and dinner), we were able to dine in a private room (rather than the usual shared dining area). The menu changed each time, so we looked forward to every meal and headed there excitedly. Each dish was refined and absolutely delicious. With drinks as well, we felt completely satisfied after every meal. By chance, the Nikko Fireworks Festival was held on Saturday, August 8, and we were able to enjoy spectacular fireworks from our Room as well (another lucky moment). Above all else, what made our stay so comfortable was the attentive service from the manager and staff members—and their genuine hospitality in accommodating guests’ requests. That level of professionalism seemed to fill the entire Ryokan, allowing guests to relax completely and enjoy an exceptional experience. For three days, we fully enjoyed an extraordinary getaway both physically and mentally. It may sound childish, but it was such a wonderful Ryokan that I didn’t want to leave—I wanted to stay forever. Everyone in our family kept saying “Let’s come again,” so we will definitely return. My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who took care of us at “Kizuna.” Thank you very much for everything.

I stayed here for my younger sister’s birthday. The beef in the kaiseki course with Shinshu Premium Beef was very tender, and even when it cooled down, it didn’t feel heavy or greasy—absolutely delicious. All the other dishes were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. Perhaps because I mentioned the birthday in advance, we also received a surprise gift, which made us very happy. The Onsen was wonderful too, and my sister said it was a shame we only managed to use it twice. From the warm welcome on arrival to being seen off at departure, it felt heartfelt all the way through—not just a quick goodbye at the front desk. Thank you very much.

The quality of the Onsen, the Accommodation, and the staff was outstanding. I had wanted to visit Yunotsu Onsen for many years, and it exceeded my expectations. I will definitely try to come back again.

It was excellent. There were four highlights in particular. 1. Riverside dining. Eating near the river has a wonderful atmosphere. You hear frogs and birds, and their sounds change over time. The sound of the rapids stays constant while subtly shifting. As it gets darker outside, the overall colors gradually change. Lights come on. Even the air changes—what feels bright and cheerful becomes cooler and refreshingly crisp. It’s fascinating how, compared with the start of the meal, it can feel as if you’ve moved to a completely different place. In that setting, dish after dish is served—luxurious, plentiful, and delicious. And after having some drinks and getting pleasantly tipsy, by the time it hits you the scenery around you has transformed as well, which adds even more charm to the experience. 2. Fireflies in flight. About a one-minute walk from the Accommodation, we were able to see many fireflies. The path is very dark, so you need to be careful—darker than expected. Countless fireflies were flying through the space between a bridge and the river below it. Some even came within about a meter right in front of us. We could clearly see them flying—and we saw so many of them. The swirling dance of blinking lights conveys something mysterious about life itself. 3. Private Onsen baths. There are four private Onsen baths, and every one was wonderful. I think the water quality is excellent—a slightly sulfur-scented Onsen. It’s my favorite type of water quality personally; I don’t find places like Shuzenji, Izunokuni (Izu-Nagaoka), Yugawara, or Izu-Kogen quite as good for my taste, but I really liked Yugashima’s Onsen. 4. The river view from our Room terrace. Even more than the view itself, hearing all the natural outdoor sounds—including the flow of the river—was incredibly soothing. I brought a Mozart DVD and asked staff to prepare a DVD player for me, but while listening to Yugashima’s river and nature sounds I completely forgot to watch opera at all. There wasn’t anything negative in particular.

This maisonette-style Accommodation has the living room and kitchen on the 2nd floor, with the bedroom, bathroom, and toilet on the 1st floor. In short, it was absolutely amazing! The Facility itself is new and very well cleaned, and all the kitchen features were very easy to use. It was more than spacious for two people, and we were impressed by how luxuriously we could enjoy the space. It’s a favorite place where we’d definitely like to stay again.

First, I was truly impressed by the hospitality. Upon arrival, they greeted me by name, which made me feel very welcome. The Japanese-style room was spacious and spotless. There was even a homemade dessert in the refrigerator. The bath water quality was amazing—silky and smooth—and it left my skin feeling incredibly soft. My dry skin actually improved during my stay. Both dinner and breakfast were lavish, and I enjoyed a full feast. It honestly felt like the best hospitality imaginable. I definitely want to come again!

We visited as a family of four, meeting up at Yamanashishi Station with our eldest son who lives in Tokyo and the three of us who drove from Kansai. As we got closer to the Accommodation, the country road shown by the navigation system made us think, “Could it really be this way?” and we struggled a little. If I had to mention any negatives from this trip, it would be that—and that the washbasin sink was black, so water marks were slightly noticeable after use. Upon arrival, we were surprised by how distinct and impressive it looked compared with its surroundings. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than planned, but we were warmly welcomed and smoothly shown inside, which left a great first impression. The moment we opened the tasteful sliding entrance door set back from the gate, we were moved by the view stretching from the pine tree in the center courtyard all the way to the kura storehouse building across it. While preserving many historical elements—such as exterior walls, tiled roof, and pillars—the interior has been renovated into a clean and refined space that feels wonderful to spend time in. In both the audio room at the back where you can listen to records and the second-floor study stocked with everything from relatively recent Japanese literature to art books and foreign titles, there were chairs and ottomans in different styles arranged throughout. We were able to forget everyday life and relax at length. These spaces became favorites for my wife and daughter, who have a strong appreciation for music and art. My eldest son and I also used the sauna in the separate kura building across the courtyard before dinner. It’s available 24 hours; he enjoyed it late at night, while I went again after breakfast the next morning. In addition to a cold plunge bath there is also a regular bathtub; together with the indoor hinoki cypress bath in main building where you can fully stretch out your legs, there are two bathing options. Dinner and breakfast were served in another kura building on opposite side , featuring thoughtfully crafted dishes using plenty of local ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed everything—especially Koshu-style sukiyaki with beef and horse meat paired with three dipping sauces—alongside wine we picked up on our way there. After dinner we projected onto a large screen with projector held family drama viewing night for all four of us. We slept in bedroom where four beds could be lined up comfortably side by side. They even provided charging cables at each bedside equipped with three types of connectors—we were impressed by such attention to detail. Speaking of details: along with alcohol , refrigerator was stocked plenty chilled mineral water which was very helpful given season . There was also an assortment of nostalgic snacks card games insect-repellent items etc., showing both thoughtfulness playfulness. A location completely removed from noise spacious layout well-maintained Facilities lacking nothing an endlessly interesting interior blending old new perfectly—and being able enjoy all without interference as family four. It exceeded our expectations imagination. We’re glad chose this place for one those precious few times each year when whole family can gather . Thank you for your attentive hospitality .

This Accommodation was even more comfortable than we expected for a trip with three adult female friends. What made us happiest was that each of the three of us could have our own Room. At night, we could relax in our own space, sleep well, and feel refreshed for sightseeing the next day. There were also two toilets, which made getting ready in the morning smooth. Both the Rooms and the water areas were kept very clean, and the amenities were well stocked. Since most essentials were provided, we were glad we could pack lighter as well. The bath was spacious and spotless. Soaking and unwinding after walking around Kyoto felt wonderful. There were plenty of plates, glasses, and cutlery too, so we could buy what we liked at a nearby supermarket and enjoy it leisurely in our Room—another great plus. The location was convenient for walking to sightseeing spots, and it was nice to be able to return to the Accommodation quickly when we got tired. If you want to fully enjoy sightseeing while also relaxing at your own pace at the Accommodation, this is a perfect place for an adult women’s trip to Kyoto. We would definitely like to stay here again when we visit Kyoto next time.

This was my first stay here. The building feels a bit old, but both the Room and the bath were thoroughly cleaned, making for a very comfortable stay. The meals were excellent; the abalone grilled live at dinner was tender, and choosing the octopus shabu-shabu add-on was definitely the right choice. Everything was delicious. The staff served the dishes well, so we could enjoy our meal smoothly. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of items, all of them tasty. There was even shark fin soup, and I especially recommend the freshly baked croissants. Since the Room faces the ocean, the view is breathtaking. The bath is also built facing the sea, so it was incredibly relaxing. It was a shame that it was cloudy and we couldn’t see the sunrise, so I would love to stay again.

This was our first stay. My husband has an illness and limited mobility, but our family of four was well taken care of with a wheelchair. The Hotel was very clean throughout, and all the staff were kind—truly a wonderful Hotel. We were very satisfied with both the room and the private open-air bath, and the large public bath was excellent! However, since our room was on a lower floor, we sometimes made eye contact with construction workers in the building right in front of us, which was a bit uncomfortable... Next time, we hope to stay on a higher floor. It’s a Hotel that makes you want to come back again soon! Thank you for your hospitality.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. We were completely satisfied with both the Room and the meals, and the panoramic view over Lake Suwa was truly beautiful and soothing. The Onsen had excellent water quality, allowing us to relax at ease. We also appreciated the complimentary beer after bathing. We even received sightseeing boat tickets, so we were able to fully enjoy exploring Lake Suwa. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.
