We were able to stay at a great price with a last-minute deal during heavy rain. The Room was disappointing in that there was no valuables box, and the toilet exhaust fan didn’t work. For valuables, we had to go all the way to the bath area on the 5th floor to use the valuables box there, then head to the far open-air bath on the 6th floor. The open-air bath was amazing. We went in during heavy rain wearing a woven hat, but there were only two, so other guests seemed inconvenienced. We enjoyed it enough and handed our umbrella over before leaving. It would be better if a few more were provided. Amenities in the Room were minimal, and anything else you need is placed on the 1st floor, so you go pick it up yourself. The pillow was very thin, so we borrowed one from three types of pillows available on the 1st floor. When I visited it was pouring rain and there weren’t many other guests, so pillows were still available—but I wonder if they restock them when it’s busy? As for meals, for this price they were acceptable. The steak was processed meat. It’s all-you-can-eat crab, but it’s better not to expect too much. There was also eel; warming it up on the hot plate after cooking steak made it tasty. For breakfast, the DIY rice bowl (toppings over rice) was delicious. Above all, drinks were all-you-can-drink from check-in until 11:00 p.m.—dinner started just 30 minutes after welcome drinks ended—and after that we went to the bar. Since you can take drinks back to your Room as well, we relaxed and drank plenty. The welcome oden and steamed meat buns were also delicious. We also enjoyed midnight udon as a late-night snack—overall we fully made use of everything. The staff members were foreigners as well, but everyone worked very hard and they were wonderful. We would definitely like to return again. Thank you very much.

We stayed again this year, following our visit last year. While many nearby Ryokan have closed, this property has been renovated and reborn with excellent Facility—I felt it is the best in Yuhama. In particular, the Onsen was pure free-flowing hot spring water from the source, with no added water or heating, and it was wonderfully comfortable—I kept sweating for a while even after bathing. Since our Room had a splendid private free-flowing Onsen bath, we enjoyed it many times. Unfortunately, there was light rain and the sea was rough with whitecaps, so swimming was prohibited. However, we are not really at an age to play in the ocean anymore, so we enjoyed walking around the Hotel area instead. There were about ten cats nearby; they were friendly and fun to be around. They had ear marks indicating they had been spayed/neutered, so it seemed the town manages them well. It left us with a good impression of a town that cares for animals. Meals were different from last year: they served them efficiently with fewer staff in a spacious Room renovated from an annex building. The quality felt slightly below last year’s level, though that may simply be personal preference. It also made us feel how challenging operations can be after COVID. We were happy to have a chance to speak in the morning with refined people who seemed to be the proprietress and her son. We would like to visit KAMEYA again next year as well—a place proud of its 200-year history. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed at Hotel Hanamaki while visiting Shohei Ohtani’s alma mater during our trip to visit family graves. We stayed for one night from June 24, and we were very happy with the excellent value for money. For dinner, we enjoyed crab, steak, tempura, and a customizable kama-meshi (I chose one loaded with crab). What impressed me most was breakfast—it was easily the best I’ve had among all the places I’ve stayed. There was delicious rice and a wide selection of both Japanese and Western dishes. Even at 65 years old, I was completely satisfied and even went back for seconds—especially for the freshly made omelet, grated yam (tororo), salted seafood (shiokara), mekabu seaweed, minced tuna (negitoro), pickles, and more. We were also able to explore several different baths, and my wife and I made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

During my stay in Atami, I visited “Village Atami,” a Hotel scheduled to open in August 2026. It was great that four of us could sleep in four separate beds without using an extra bed. The calm, modern interior typical of the Sumitomo Realty & Development group was very comfortable. The vanity has two sinks, there is a spacious walk-in closet, and a mini-kitchen, so it is also recommended for longer stays. I chose plans with meals included for both nights, but since both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, the food is tasty yet the menu is exactly the same each day, so it may be better to avoid doing this. As this is Atami, I was hoping for more Japanese-style sashimi as well, but there was only something like salmon carpaccio; on the second day, I think choosing a nearby restaurant such as a sushi place would be a good option. This time I stayed on the 8th floor and enjoyed a great view all the way to Hatsushima and watching the boats come and go. Thank you for a pleasant stay—the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was wonderful.

I stayed here while visiting the Dewa Sanzan shrines. The Accommodation had a very relaxing atmosphere, the meals were delicious, and the bath was excellent. I also signed up the night before and was able to join an early-morning visit to Mt. Yudono. It was a truly rare and wonderful experience. I will definitely return. Thank you very much.

Recent accommodations often focus on being "Instagrammable," looking great in photos but sometimes falling short in reality. However, this accommodation, while the building itself shows signs of aging, is impeccably clean and offers a very comfortable stay. The bath includes a private open-air hot spring with flowing water, offering breathtaking views of the vast ocean from a scenic cape. During my stay, it was a full moon, and I enjoyed an unforgettable moment under the moonlight accompanied by the sounds of nature. Meals are seafood-focused! Breakfast features marinated tuna rice bowls. The half-buffet style allows you to adjust portions to your appetite. Even the pickles reflect the chef's dedication to quality—everything was absolutely delicious. The evening stargazing session was unexpectedly enjoyable with detailed explanations provided by staff. The staff members were incredibly kind and attentive, making every aspect of my stay satisfying. Thanks to their support, I managed to visit Nachi Taisha Shrine and Nachi Falls despite having limited time. Thank you very much! This accommodation is highly recommended for those who value authenticity over superficial appeal.

I was happy to be able to choose matcha as the welcome drink. The sweets served were cute and nice. The whole Ryokan had a charming atmosphere and felt very pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. It would have been even better if the bath had been maintained a bit more.

Despite the very low open price, the meals—such as the pilgrim menu—were generous in portion, and every dish was carefully prepared and wonderfully delicious. Both the Room and the entire property were thoroughly cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

About a 2-hour trip by bus transfers from Kinugawa Onsen Station. I was hesitant because I’d be traveling by public transportation and worried about the transfers, but I decided to make a Reservation and spent my summer vacation here alone. I reserved a Room in the main building with shared washbasin and toilet, and it was well maintained and very clean. The baths included an indoor bath and a women’s open-air bath, and I also tried the mixed-gender bath while wrapped in a bath towel. The bath near the waterfall felt immersive and was great, but the stairs are steep, so please be careful at night. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, made with local ingredients. It seems you can get refills of rice, but there was no 안내; I would have appreciated being told. At night, a cricket (?) appeared in my Room, and I looked for insect spray but couldn’t find any… There’s no internal phone to reach the front desk from the Room, and the front desk is only open until 20:00... There were also unfamiliar bugs on the window screen—if you’re afraid of insects, summer might be tough.

The all-inclusive plan was great, especially the unlimited alcoholic drinks. Dinner was also delicious with the half-buffet style. The dining staff were very attentive, and we had a pleasant stay. It would have been even better if beer had been included in the unlimited drinks.

Rather than just being near Miho no Matsubara, it felt like there was a Ryokan right within it. You can easily take a walk to Miho no Matsubara and the beach. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we enjoyed the scent of hinoki in the in-room bath. If I have the chance, I would like to stay again.

Let's enjoy crab and visit the Onsen! A charming accommodation with a unique atmosphere. The private bath is incredibly luxurious! The crab dishes are absolutely extravagant! Highly recommended for everyone. It was a luxurious experience. I want to make it an annual event.

The Room was assigned at the property’s discretion, but it was a perfectly nice Room. I felt very satisfied for such a reasonable price. They walked around serving freshly grilled food, and they also took a family photo for us at the table. There was a manga corner, so we enjoyed ourselves without getting bored.

Meals are not included, but there was a wide variety of tableware and cooking utensils. The Room was very clean and comfortable. Dog supplies were also provided. However, it was disappointing that the pet diaper provided did not match the dog’s sex. The indoor silk-ion bath was great. There was also a jacuzzi, but due to seasonal insects we couldn’t use it. It was very comfortable overall, and we would like to stay again.

I’ve stayed at various Vacation Villages, but Retreat Azumino Hotel was completely different from any of them! This Hotel is too good to enjoy in just one night. It made me want a Multiple Night Stay. It’s quiet, spotless, and I have nothing to complain about.

We visited with 11 people from 4 families to celebrate the owner's birthday. After visiting Honpukuji Temple by Ando architecture and being impressed by its magnificence, we entered the Hotel with high expectations. Our expectations were not disappointed, as we could feel the art museums and Hotels of Naoshima throughout the building, which made us feel nostalgic and happy. I was particularly impressed by how pleasant the person in charge during meals was. Thank you very much.

It was a truly relaxing experience. The view from the room was spectacular. The bath was an open-air bath surrounded by the forest, offering a heavenly experience. You can enjoy different types of baths with unique atmospheres. At night, you can marvel at the star-filled sky. Meals featured an abundance of local ingredients from the prefecture, and drinks were reasonably priced. I had an amazing time and would love to visit this accommodation again. Iwate is vast, and there are still so many places I want to explore!

The Accommodation and our Room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. There were many Onsen options—an in-room scenic-view bath, the Facility’s large public bath, an open-air bath, and a family bath—so my Onsen-loving husband and our 6-year-old son enjoyed them so much they went four times a day (laugh). The hospitality of the proprietress and staff was wonderful. I was pregnant, but I was able to truly relax and take it easy during our 2-night, 3-day stay. Also, there is a river very close by where children can play and enjoy nature, so both adults and kids never got bored. It’s an Accommodation we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

The staff were wonderful, the food was delicious, the twin Room was spacious, there was a large public bath, and Shuttle Service was available. From the moment I saw photos of this Hotel, I somehow knew I wanted to stay here. Everything is spotless down to the smallest details, and you can truly feel their thoughtful hospitality. It’s close to the Great Torii Gate, making it convenient for an evening or early-morning stroll. After checking out this time, when I went back to pick up my luggage, I ended up resting in the lobby for over two hours due to mild heat exhaustion. I’m sincerely grateful for how kindly and attentively the staff took care of me. I’m planning to stay again in November.

All the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, friendly, and wonderful!! Even though it was very reasonably priced, the Room was clean, there was a private bath, a relaxing area with manga and games, free drinks, a microwave, and access to the rooftop—our kids were delighted! Overall it was compact and easy to get around, making it very comfortable to stay! This time we booked No Meals Included, but next time we’d like to come back and relax with meals included as well!
