This was our family’s first trip to Sendai. It was also our first time staying here, and it had a charm that felt different from international hotel chains. The staff were extremely courteous, which made us feel at ease throughout our stay. Our child is no longer an infant, but we were impressed that the baby food service was properly divided into stages. If I come to Sendai again for work, I would like to stay here again.

We stayed as a family of four. Since we booked our stay mainly to use the spa, pool, and kids’ area, we were very satisfied. We especially made great use of the lounge. Regarding service, we realized at check-in that our Reservation did not include the children, but the staff responded quickly and we were able to stay—truly grateful.

The Room had a private open-air bath, and it was wonderful. We also enjoyed the delicious drinks and snacks. The meals were generous in portion, and the Yamato beef shabu-shabu was especially excellent. The children were thrilled with the table tennis and board games as well!

We stayed as a family of five to cheer at an ice hockey game. At our grandchild’s strong request, we asked for a Japanese-style Room during summer vacation. They wanted to sleep together on futons. Thank you for upgrading us to a Japanese-Western style Room. It was very clean. Ocean view—highly recommend the sunset. Most of all, when a family member wasn’t feeling well, you unlocked the entrance and let us into the Room before check-in time, which we truly appreciated. In this Review, I want to express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s warm and caring service. We would definitely stay again. Great value for money as well.

The Hotel staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. They contacted us the day before to Check Reservation, and their support at check-in and friendly greetings whenever we passed made us feel truly cared for. The view of Lake Biwa from the bath was also wonderful, making for a fantastic stay.

It had been unbearably hot for so long that I didn’t feel like going anywhere, but I thought a hotel staycation would be enjoyable, so I decided to make a Reservation. The chilled hand towels on arrival and the ice-filled ice bucket provided during turndown were thoughtful touches—especially appreciated in summer. It was also my first time trying lounge hopping, and I miscalculated by eating too much and ending up uncomfortably full at dinner… Still, I enjoyed strolling around the garden inside the Hotel and had a very satisfying stay.

We could choose our meals, and we were very satisfied with the seafood shabu-shabu we had hoped for at dinner. The Japanese breakfast also came with plenty of sides to go with rice, and I ended up having a second helping. We also enjoyed the somen before dinner, ice cream and coffee milk after the bath, late-night soba (ramen), and the free drinks at the front desk. The Room was spacious and even had a massage chair, so we could truly relax. It was a shame the weather wasn’t great, but if it had been clear, we probably could have seen a beautiful starry sky from the terrace—I'd love to visit again if I get the chance.

We had a truly wonderful time. The homemade-style meals, the thoughtfully prepared Room and space, and the open-air bath while listening to the sound of the waves were all exceptional. The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying. And we were deeply moved by the former proprietress’s storytelling. It reminded us to feel grateful once again for being alive—being allowed to live—here and now. Thank you very much. This is a highly recommended Accommodation.

This was my first stay at this Hotel in exactly 30 years. While the interior shows some age, the staff were efficient and pleasant. The Hotel is located on a hill, and we enjoyed the peaceful surrounding scenery from the Room and the open-air bath. The meals were not extravagant, but dinner was served as a kaiseki course and was delicious. The indoor bath was quite hot, so it was hard to relax, but the open-air bath was at a comfortable temperature, and there was also a tub fed by a cooler natural hot spring source where we could soak leisurely. Considering the Accommodation Fee, I felt this Accommodation offered excellent value for money.

Since we didn’t rent a car this time, we traveled by bus from Hakodate Station, but it was only a 3-minute walk from Tropical Botanical Garden-mae, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. A friend said the interior and the Room were far better than you’d ever imagine from the exterior. I believe I made a Reservation for the cheapest Room type, but to my surprise we were upgraded to what seemed like one of the best Rooms. It was a wonderful, spacious Room with a very comfortable sofa where we could truly relax. If I have the chance to visit again, I’d like to make a Reservation for the best Type A Room. I was looking forward to enjoying sparkling wine in the lounge, Hakodate milk soft-serve ice cream, and Misuzu Coffee—and they even had watermelon as well, which made me really happy. The soft-serve was unbelievably delicious. I don’t usually drink coffee, but Misuzu Coffee is so good that I decided to have it while in Hakodate. Being able to enjoy it as many times as you like until 10:00 p.m. is much appreciated—though my friend mentioned that in the morning there was only Misuzu Coffee. The bath is available even late at night, which is also very helpful. Even if you fall asleep after dinner and drinks, it’s great to be able to wake up and take a bath during the night. Dinner was an omakase sushi course that included fugu tatsuta-age; between the tuna selections and seasonal sushi, everything was satisfying and enjoyable. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options—I especially loved the soup curry. Overall, I think this is an excellent Accommodation with courteous front desk staff and a very positive impression. Just one thing: many Hotels these days provide deodorizing sprays, but I’m sensitive to fragrances—so I would prefer not having them in the Room or used during bed-making.

Because it was a three-day weekend right at the start of summer vacation, it ended up a little over our original budget—but we wanted to stay here so badly that we made the Reservation anyway. And once we actually stayed… it was worth every yen—no, even more than that. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was even better than expected: right in front of us were white sand and a blue sea. There were quite a few families and international guests, but at night it was very quiet. You can head straight to the beach from the Hotel, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—dedicated beach sandals, a washing machine, towels, and more. I also really appreciated that when you take off your slippers there, you can place them neatly into a shoe box labeled with your Room name—something I found especially reassuring as someone who’s a bit particular about cleanliness. The Room was truly spacious, spotless, and very functional. Everything felt refined from corner to corner—the washbasin, furnishings, wall colors, decorations—all beautifully coordinated and calming. A small detail, but the loungewear fabric was very soft and had buttons so it stayed in place comfortably. The semi-open-air bath in the guest room had excellent water quality and temperature. Being able to soak slowly while looking out at the ocean—with no insects flying around—was pure bliss. We enjoyed our in-room meals while chatting pleasantly with our attendant; everything was delicious. The simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially impressive—large and full of flavor—truly “this is Izu!” That said, personally I would have preferred beef as steak (even a small portion) rather than chilled shabu-shabu wrapped with vegetables. If many guests are older adults, it would be great if there were an option available even with an additional charge. Breakfast included many dishes as well—I ended up eating quite a lot first thing in the morning! Overall this Accommodation deserves high marks across the board; if I had to be strictly critical, dinner alone could have felt slightly more luxurious or surprising—something that makes you think “This is exceptional—I’ve never tasted anything like it.” Even so, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I absolutely want to return again next year. From the open-air bath on the balcony, we could see the ocean and relax while listening to the sound of the waves. The Onsen water felt silky and pleasant, and it left my skin looking great. My husband, who used to dislike Onsen, ended up loving it. The portions at dinner and breakfast were so large that it was overwhelming—though it might be perfect for big eaters.

The Facility is old, but the rates are affordable, and since the meals are kaiseki cuisine, we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. Above all, the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait can be seen from the Room, bath, and dining hall—absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our time enjoying the view of various ships coming and going. We will stay again.

After the renovation, the Room was very clean and beautiful. The food was delicious, and the upgraded course had generous portions, so we were very satisfied. The rice from Fukui Prefecture is excellent. I usually eat only about half a bowl at breakfast, but I had a second serving. It was new-season rice and truly delicious. The lobby felt a bit warm. I also soaked in the bath for a long time and couldn’t stop sweating, and when heading back to the Room you have to pass through the lobby, which felt a little hot. It was very quiet and relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality.

I stayed with three friends (four of us in total). Because one of us has limited mobility, I asked in advance whether we could visit using a wheelchair or cane and whether a shower chair was available. I received a very polite email saying it would be possible and that they would be happy to welcome us, which truly impressed me. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was the most satisfying open-air-bath Room I have ever stayed in. Overall, it was spacious enough, and the toilet was excellent as well, with plenty of space and handrails on both sides. The bath overlooking the sea also had enough room for two people to relax and stretch out. If it had been clear weather, could we have seen Mt. Fuji too? We also had our meals in the living area of the Room, so we could dine at a relaxed pace. The portions were generous—almost too much to finish.

At the breakfast buffet, the chef prepared dashimaki tamago and onigiri on the spot (you can choose the fillings), and I was happy to enjoy them freshly made. Today’s miso soup had clams in it, with a rich clam broth—it was delicious and comforting. There was a wide variety of dishes and desserts, including konjac-based items and Ota’s famous yakisoba, so choosing was fun and exciting. I’d love to stay again.

Staying in the detached room allowed us to relax without worrying too much about our dog’s barking disturbing others. We also finished all of our meals—they were delicious. We are also grateful to the staff for their sincere support during a late-night incident.

Whenever I visit Gotemba Premium Outlets, I always stay here. After a long day of shopping, I can relax and recharge in the Onsen. I had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Although we stayed for only one night, it was a very comfortable Accommodation. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and in addition to the amenities, there was a good selection of tea and mineral water provided, which made our stay very pleasant. (Filling up water at the washbasin can take away from the travel mood a bit.) When we visit Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen again, we would love to stay here again.

The hospitality and service were excellent. Both the bath and the Room were spacious, so we could relax. It would have been nice to have amenities for women. It’s close to the Nagara River, and we were able to fully enjoy hot Gifu. Both the cormorant fishing and the fireworks were wonderful. Thank you very much.
