After turning off the Koya Ryujin Skyline, you’ll need to drive several kilometers along a narrow, winding road with continuous curves. As is often the case in Nara Prefecture, there are some sections that are too narrow for two cars to pass. The river running beside the Hotel is very clear, and on a cloudless night you can likely enjoy a starry sky. The Onsen water analysis sheet stated it is a simple sulfur spring with pH 10.4, but I didn’t notice much of a sulfur smell. There are only two indoor baths at different temperatures, and there is no open-air bath. For dinner we ordered the local Kashiki hot pot course, and the duck, wild boar, and pheasant were all richly flavored and truly delicious. I especially liked the pheasant for its satisfying texture. After finishing the hot pot, we ended with rice porridge; the broth was so good that I ate too much. The Hotel itself is an older building, but it’s a good Hotel with sufficiently spacious Rooms and enjoyable meals.

The food was outstanding. For dinner, the splendid alfonsino, abalone, and spiny lobster were all delicious, and the portions were more than we could finish. Breakfast was also excellent—the spiny lobster miso soup was especially tasty. The relaxation room offered free ice cream and coffee, as well as electric massage chairs. While the exterior and some common areas were not very clean, the guest rooms and dining area had been renovated.

We stayed for one night with our pet, my wife and I, timed with our daughter’s visit home, with dinner and breakfast included. All the staff were consistently kind and spoke to us warmly, making our stay comfortable from arrival to departure—we were very satisfied. Meals were served in the Room, so even with our pet we could relax without worrying. The food was gently seasoned, full of wholesome dishes that felt good for the body, and everything was delicious—we finished it all. The large public bath was diagonally across from our Room, which was extremely convenient. The water had a smooth, gentle quality and the temperature was perfectly managed. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again and highly recommend.

Time seems to slow down during your stay, making it a soothing and relaxing place. A small number of Rooms are scattered throughout a spacious forest, letting you escape the noise of everyday life. The staff also speak in a calm, unhurried manner, which creates a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The Room is exceptionally well equipped, with an open-air bath, an indoor bath, a sauna, and even a footbath area. The meals are also excellent—among the best I have experienced at any Accommodation. I would definitely like to stay here again.

I had always wanted to visit Himi, but I struggled to find the perfect accommodation that matched my ideal. After extensive research, I discovered this wonderful accommodation. This small luxury retreat accommodates only two groups per day, but on the day of our stay, we were fortunate to have it all to ourselves. It felt like having a private villa—a truly luxurious experience. The meals exceeded all expectations. The creative dishes featuring Toyama's seafood were absolutely exquisite. What elevated this culinary experience even further was the sake pairing selected by the proprietress, who is a certified sake sommelier. Each pairing perfectly complemented each dish and brought out the full flavors of Toyama's seafood. Conversations with all the staff were also incredibly enjoyable. This is an accommodation that makes you want to return again and again. Wishing you continued success in your endeavors! Thank you very much!

This was my first stay at NIPPONIA in Kosuge Village—something I’d been hoping to do ever since I learned it was there, after visiting the village several times on touring trips. The space, renovated from a traditional house over 150 years old, is meticulously cared for in every detail and uniquely comfortable. From the entrance gate to the front area—and of course the Room itself—everything was wonderful, and I immediately felt at ease. I relaxed so much that I collapsed into bed early and missed the evening bonfire, which is my only regret (laugh). The thickly smoked beams, thoughtfully designed indirect lighting, a dining table suitable for working, a beautifully maintained garden with spring water running through it, chairs to enjoy the view and a solo hammock, a semi-open-air bath, and a large fluffy bed—everything was perfect. I was also impressed that instead of the cheap alcohol often found with “all-inclusive” plans, they offered genuinely recommended local alcoholic drinks and soft drinks along with small snacks. The staff’s kindness—waiting outside just for us in the heat—meant a lot. Walking around Kosuge was also fun. Everything was soothing. Just one thing: dinner. It was a luxurious course featuring river fish or pork in almost every dish, but there were rich sauces used throughout, which left my mouth and stomach feeling a bit tired. The fact that every dish felt like a main might be great for energetic younger guests; however, if there had been something lighter—like a refreshing salad using delicious local vegetables—to provide some contrast “in between,” each dish might have stood out even more. Overall it was an excellent experience that truly put me at ease. I got real rest here. Thank you very much.

The dog run is very spacious and pleasant. As soon as we arrived, my dog happily ran around, and I felt glad to have chosen this accommodation. It's an environment where dogs can relax freely, which naturally puts owners at ease as well. The traditional Japanese house has a calm atmosphere, allowing for a very peaceful stay. We enjoyed experiences like making miso and koji, as well as roasting rice crackers over the irori hearth—much more fun than expected! Roasting rice crackers over the irori was surprisingly challenging; adjusting the heat while slowly roasting them was a fresh experience. However, the rice crackers I made myself were far more delicious than I imagined. For dinner, we had an irori kaiseki meal prepared by the staff while we relaxed by watching the fire—a leisurely dining experience without any rush that allowed us to savor every bite. At night, we spent time by the bonfire without doing much of anything in particular. Just watching my dog relax nearby filled me with contentment. This is an accommodation that naturally makes you think, "I want to come back again."

It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The Room, meals, and Onsen were all completely satisfying. The staff were also very kind, and we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the nature of Norikura, and it is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

I came all the way from Hokkaido because I wanted to try Yobuko’s live squid. It turned out to be an excellent Hotel. Not only was the live squid cuisine outstanding, but the Room with its beautiful, expansive window overlooking the sea was also amazing. Next time, I’d love to visit again on a clear day. I stayed here for my second night on a solo trip. Tucked away down a small path, it was so quiet—no traffic noise, just birds and insects. There were even cute little frogs on the terrace, which felt wonderful for someone who loves wildlife. The grounds are beautifully planted with lots of greenery, and the Room was extremely clean. The meals used ingredients harvested on the property and were outstanding—carefully prepared and delicate, yet warmly home-style at the same time. After the delicious dinner, they prepared a beautiful open-air bath for me, and I slept like a log until right before breakfast time. The owner couple were also very kind, sharing details about the ingredients, the plants on the property, and recommended spots to visit. This is a truly wonderful Accommodation filled with their care in every aspect—from the Room to the food to all Facilities. It’s an Accommodation I’ll definitely want to return to. I found this site and, as a birthday gift for my wife, I splurged more than on our usual trips and made a Reservation for the “Shinshu Beef Tasting Kaiseki” on the Sky Comfort Floor. When we checked in, thanks to the Hotel’s consideration, we were upgraded to a Luxury Suite at no extra charge. It was truly eye-opening. That alone would have been more than enough, but dinner—the “Shinshu Beef Tasting Kaiseki”—was also outstanding: sweet and tender beef, a rich aroma, and exceptional hospitality. This has definitely become one of the Hotels we want to return to. Thank you very much. My wife was delighted as well. The open-air bath was also wonderful—just like in the photos on the site—and incredibly relaxing.

We used the Parent-and-Child Trip Plan and the 50+ & Weekday Plan. Our Room was a Japanese-modern suite with a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath (smoking allowed). Spacious and comfortable! The bed was great too! And with breakfast and dinner included, it was just over JPY 11,000 per person—such a good deal! I use e-cigarettes, but even though an ashtray was provided, the Room didn’t smell of smoke at all, so I felt bad and ended up smoking outside. There are ashtrays in several places within the Facility, which was helpful. There isn’t much around within walking distance, so we decided to enjoy our time at the Accommodation. The karaoke was busy, but we managed to get a one-hour slot (additional charge). The karaoke room is quite spacious. The baths do not allow tattoos. My daughter used the public bath while I used the tub in our Room. She said the public bath felt wonderful. The in-room bath was also very comfortable with a nice view. One thing to note: I couldn’t find a faucet for washing up by the bath—maybe there was one? Since there is a separate shower room, I washed there and then moved to the bath. The bathroom door has good soundproofing, so noise hardly reached the bedroom. I relaxed while playing music on my phone. One more thing... The bathroom is fully visible from the bedroom, so when my daughter wanted to use it, I went for a walk outside. A small screen or partition would be helpful. There were bathrobes, but only two small towels and no bath towels. I had brought my own and used that; if you hang it on a hanger it dries quickly. The tub is fairly large and deep—very comfortable. We often stay at Livemax when exploring around Izu, and this place also has great food. I like lively buffet atmospheres, so we enjoyed it here as well. All-you-can-eat salmon roe at both dinner and breakfast—this was amazing! Dinner items like meat and shrimp sashimi were great too, and breakfast breads and egg dishes were delicious. The shower head, hair dryer, and iron were all ReFa—my daughter was thrilled. They really are nice. From check-in to check-out, all staff provided excellent service. Service in the restaurant was also attentive, making our time very comfortable overall. Thanks to you all, my daughter and I had a wonderful trip. Thank you! *One small concern: When we entered the Room there were empty cans and some trash left in the bin. It seemed like something had been missed during cleaning—and I also wondered why someone would throw cans into that bin.

Although it seemed nearly fully booked, we had a very comfortable stay! The indoor dog run was air-conditioned, so we didn’t need to take walks in the heat. The Onsen also featured an authentic open-air bath that warmed us through to the core. Above all, the staff’s hospitality was exceptional—they welcomed us on arrival and saw us off at departure, making it a truly wonderful memory.

We stayed as a family to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. From the moment we checked in, we were amazed by the spacious, wonderful Room you prepared for us. When we checked out, we learned that it had been upgraded free of charge, which truly moved us even more. At dinner, you even prepared a fruit platter to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary—thank you so much. Our whole family was touched by your warm thoughtfulness. The Onsen also offered a great variety, and we enjoyed bathing many times. Most memorable of all was the dinner buffet. Not only was every dish delicious, but each time limited-quantity items were announced one after another, we found ourselves excitedly wondering what would come next as we enjoyed our meal. Thanks to the Room, the Onsen, the meals, and above all the warm hospitality of your staff, this trip became an unforgettable memory for our entire family. After returning home, my husband and children told me, “Thanks to you, Mom, it was such a wonderful trip. Let’s do it again.” That made this trip especially joyful for me as well. I sincerely appreciate all of your kindness and consideration. We look forward to visiting again as a family someday. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your hospitality. The Room was clean, the meals were delicious, and the spacious garden was beautifully maintained—we were very satisfied. We felt refreshed thanks to the Onsen and spa treatments. We would love to visit again.

We stayed for two nights during the Obon holiday season. It was a good Accommodation with easy access for swimming in the sea. However, at breakfast on the first morning, the rice was undercooked with many hard parts and clumps, which was disappointing. Also, there was a dragon decoration in front of the bath area that looked eerie at night and felt scary. The meals on the second night were tastier than on the first night; our whole family felt the same. All of the staff were kind and courteous, which we appreciated.

Ever since our first stay two years ago, we’ve loved this place and have been coming back every year for a two-night Multiple Night Stay—three years in a row. It seems seasonal, but they had a festival-style stamp rally for kids, which was a great touch and kept our child happily entertained. It also happens to be our child’s birthday around this time, so celebrating here has become our family tradition. The Onsen temperature, the Room size, and overall layout all feel “just right.” There’s also a late-night tantanmen service we always look forward to—though this time we were too full after dinner to enjoy it, which was a shame! The building seems to have some history, but everything is spotless and well maintained, so it never feels old. Above all, it’s incredibly comfortable—a wonderful Accommodation where our whole family can truly relax. Whenever we go to Akita, this is the only place we choose.

I visited once before it became TAOYA, so I can vouch for how wonderful the Onsen is! That silky-smooth water makes you want to soak again and again. Dinner felt like they really put in the effort, and everything was consistently good and delicious. That said, breakfast might feel a bit less impressive by comparison. We chose the most affordable Japanese-style Room, but it was very close to both the restaurant and the Onsen, and with two separate rooms it felt like a great value.

This Hotel is located on a mountain slightly outside the city. I was able to stay at a reasonable price by using a coupon. It feels a bit old, but it is clean, so there were no issues. There is also a large public bath, and since it is an Onsen, my skin felt smooth and it was very relaxing. For a late-night snack, they served tantanmen noodles, which were delicious. Breakfast included the crab legs I had been looking forward to, and I was able to eat plenty—overall, I was satisfied with this Accommodation.
