From check-in to dining service, the hospitality was excellent and we were very satisfied. The wonderful service made the delicious food even better. The fish, meat, and vegetables were all high quality, and the dashi was flawlessly tasty. The matcha beer, Hyuganatsu beer, and sake (Nihonto) were also great. It was a very good Ryokan that I can recommend to anyone. If I have a chance to visit Shizuoka again, I’d like to stay here again.

We stayed here on a family trip. The Japanese meals were delicious, and even after eating a lot, we didn’t feel heavy. The white rice was especially excellent. The Room was quiet and very relaxing, and since we could use the private bath as much as we wanted depending on the time slot, it felt like a great deal to stay at such a wonderful Ryokan—we were very satisfied.

Just as the Accommodation’s name suggests, my mind felt cleansed. The open-air bath was breathtaking with nature right in front of me, along with birdsong and the sound of the wind—it was wonderful.

Upon arrival, we were guided by a cart to our Room while still in the car, and the check-in process and explanations were handled smoothly and efficiently. We took a walk before dinner, and when we entered the main building, it was a wonderful place with great atmosphere, where we enjoyed a very delicious dinner. I felt it was great to be able to spend such a relaxing time with my wife.

I made a Reservation to see the morning mist at Lake Kinrin. All the coin lockers near Yufuin Station were full, so it was very helpful that you stored my luggage before sightseeing. The room was carefully cleaned, and the post-bath beer server was a nice touch. Since Yufuin has many international visitors and there were also international guests staying at this Accommodation, some voices in the bath area were quite loud and a bit uncomfortable. However, there were five private family baths, so I could move right away and relax comfortably. Fresh face towels were provided in every bath, which was also great because I didn’t have to reuse a wet towel.

We searched for a well-reviewed Onsen with an ocean view and decided to stay here. From check-in to being shown to our Room, and even during meals, the staff always served us with a smile, making our stay very pleasant. The meals were very luxurious and absolutely delicious. The ocean-view terrace was also beautiful, and we were able to relax at our leisure. This is a Facility we would love to visit again.

I made a Reservation without doing much research because it looked good, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The nostalgic charm of the Showa era is beautifully balanced with modern Facilities, making the stay extremely comfortable. All of the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming—the hospitality was outstanding. The meals were also delicious; even though I’m on a diet, I finished dinner and was completely full. Breakfast felt lighter (not small in portion), and perhaps because it was Japanese-style, my weight didn’t increase much, which was a relief. The private bath doesn’t require a Reservation—if it’s available, you can use it—so I enjoyed it twice without any hassle. Since the number of guests per day is limited, it was quiet with a calm, adult atmosphere, and I could truly relax. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as a couple. We made a Reservation because we were looking for an Accommodation where we could relax around Lake Yamanaka, and it turned out to be even better than we expected. What we loved - The grilled rainbow trout at dinner was excellent. We don’t often get the chance to eat it, and it was especially memorable among all the dishes. - The wine-fed beef tenderloin was very tender and cooked perfectly. The garlic grilled rice ball we ordered as an extra was also a great choice. - Breakfast was just as enjoyable, with freshly made hot sandwiches and handmade soba. The soba had a wonderful aroma that really stood out. - The Room and bath were spotless and comfortable. Even details like the placement of outlets were convenient, and we could feel the thoughtful care throughout. - We were happy to have a view of Mt. Fuji from our Room. - Above all, the owner and his wife were truly lovely people. They welcomed us warmly and also told us about Myojinyama Panorama Terrace (mentioned below). The next morning, we visited Myojinyama Panorama Terrace as recommended, and enjoyed an amazing view overlooking both Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka—one of the highlights of our trip. We suggest going a bit early, ideally by around 9:00 a.m., since parking is limited and it gets crowded. Everything—from the food to the scenery to the hospitality—was highly satisfying, and on our way home we kept saying how glad we were that we chose this place. We highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone who wants to spend a relaxing time in Lake Yamanaka. We’d love to visit again in another season.

Every dish in the meal was outstanding—the best of any Ryokan I have stayed at. I was also surprised at how delicious the seasoning was even on the fried item we were given to take home, made from the remaining fish. The Room was clean and well kept. The staff’s service was just right, and it felt very comfortable.

Although we stayed during the hot season, we were able to play in the river in front of the Hotel and had a great time. The water was clean and not too deep, and we were happy to see our dog enjoying it—it made us glad we came. We didn’t use it this time, but next time we’d like to have river-play photos taken. The meals also felt carefully prepared dish by dish. The salt-grilled ayu was delicious. At dinner, a female staff member was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was set up like a half-buffet system, and items that ran out were replenished promptly with attentive care. The bath water didn’t feel particularly like an Onsen, but the baths were spacious and relaxing. The open-air bath felt slightly hot. Given the times, it seems they are operating with a small team, but there were thoughtful touches such as a 24-hour self-checkout system at the shop and mops and small vacuums available in the changing area for guests to use. Since all guests had dogs with them, we could relax without worrying about others. We’d like to stay again during the autumn foliage season or when fireflies can be seen.

We stayed for one night and two days with our grandchild. As mentioned in the Reviews, the building and the Room itself are indeed old, but everything was properly cleaned and there were no issues. With the all-you-can-play passport, we fully enjoyed bowling, the pool, craft-making, festival-style games, quizzes, a stamp rally, and more. The free shuttle bus from the Hotel to Yubatake at night was extremely helpful; it was my first time seeing the Yubatake illumination, and I was surprised by how many tourists were there. Even though it was summer, walking around Yubatake felt pleasantly cool—almost a little chilly—which was wonderful. The next day we used the Hotel bus again because I wanted my grandchild to enjoy street food and try yumomi (hot spring water stirring). I had only ever visited Kusatsu in winter before, so this summer trip was a first for me. While news reports talked about extreme heat in Tokyo, I was amazed at how cool and comfortable Kusatsu is in summer. At night we didn’t need air conditioning in our Room; it even felt slightly chilly. Summer in Kusatsu is great.\nThe meals were delicious, and everyone at the front desk, each reception counter, and the shop—especially the international staff—was very polite and pleasant. Every staff member provided excellent service; I was truly impressed. This is a highly recommended Hotel for families with children as well. We would love to visit again. One drawback is that the Hotel is so large that it’s easy to get lost—especially when trying to find the baths; as noted in Reviews, we got lost too. Overall though, it was a wonderful Hotel. Because I made the Reservation at the last minute, only a larger Room was available, so I booked that one. It was a bit expensive, but I was satisfied with the Room. The Hotel itself is a little old, but it has been renovated and improved in various ways. The meals were well thought out and I was pleased. I would like to visit again when I have the chance.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive without being intrusive and were kind to our children. The breakfast and the in-room dinner via room service were both delicious—everything was perfect. We have stayed at several InterContinental Hotels, and among them, the service at InterContinental Hotel Beppu was outstanding. We were truly moved to find a Hotel we want to return to for the first time in a long while.

Surrounded by magnificent nature, we truly had a wonderful time. The view from the Room was beautiful and really made us feel we were in the gorge. We were grateful that you accommodated our request to take an early-morning walk. While walking early in the morning, we could hear birds and many other sounds, and it was very satisfying to watch trains passing by as well. Along the way, we heard crows calling, and when we called back, it echoed through the gorge—it was fun. We were also surprised that trains were running so early, but it was a truly happy time enjoying nature at its best. The meals were delicious, and thanks to the thoughtful staff, our family had a great time together. The bath was an Onsen that left our skin feeling smooth and helped us relax deeply. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes using local ingredients—we really appreciated it. Thank you for such an enjoyable day.

Close to the sea, and with a late checkout we were able to enjoy a morning walk at a relaxed pace. The atmosphere inside the Hotel was great, and the staff’s service was excellent! However, it seems the parking spaces are limited, so we used the coin-operated parking lot across the street and it cost nearly 5,000 yen. It would be even better if there were some subsidy for guests.

This was our first time staying at a Hotel affiliated with Ooedo Onsen! Due to our schedule, we checked in late and could only get a dinner Reservation for 8:30 PM, but we had plenty of fun in the meantime—playing table tennis as a family and enjoying the Onsen. The kids were thrilled! At night, we borrowed UNO and had a great time together. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent—the sushi and steak were amazing! Everyone went back for multiple bowls of seafood rice bowls in the morning. The Facility is a bit old, and the air conditioner was quite loud, but the overall enjoyment more than made up for it. The Room was very spacious too. We’d love to stay again!

It was a Hotel in a quiet setting on a refreshing highland plateau, and I found it very relaxing. However, it felt like repairs to the road damaged during winter were a bit delayed, so it’s best to watch out for bumps and uneven surfaces. The Room does feel old, but it was very thoroughly cleaned and I had a comfortable stay. The bath and changing area were spacious, and I was able to soak slowly as if I had the place to myself. The hot pot dinner was delicious and went perfectly with alcohol—I was very satisfied. Breakfast was also enjoyable. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again if I have the chance.

We were planning an Onsen trip to celebrate my mother, and it was the first trip for three generations of our family. Since my mother cannot use the large public bath, we looked for a Room with a private open-air bath. Thanks to that, she was able to enjoy the Onsen. The bath in our Room was also fed by Onsen water, and she was very happy. We chose the standard kaiseki meal, but the portions were more than enough—so much that my sons had to give up at both dinner and breakfast. When I requested a cake for my mother’s 88th birthday celebration, they even prepared a red celebratory vest (chanchanko) for her as well, and we truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. The building was clean. The large public bath was small but spotless, and we were very satisfied. In the lobby there was a local sake tasting service, and in the morning there was also coffee service—everything felt very well provided. Our whole family was extremely satisfied. All of the staff were kind, and we had a comfortable stay. It became a wonderful celebratory trip. Thank you very much.

This was our 12th stay. It’s one of our favorite Accommodations as a couple. We love being able to relax in a quiet place with nothing around. The Room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would be happy if there were a small buffet, such as a salad bar, not only at breakfast but also at dinner. We had another very pleasant stay this time as well. We’d love to come again. I was drawn in by the Hotel photos on Yahoo! Travel. The Room was very spacious, with an open and clean feel, and I was able to relax comfortably. The open-air bath was a good size, the sauna was clean, and I personally found the cold plunge temperature very pleasant. The meals were also delicious. I would love to stay again.
