This was our first stay, and the check-in service was excellent—I knew right away we had chosen the right place. Dinner offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, and we were completely full; my spouse and I were more than satisfied. Thank you very much for all your help from check-out until we left. When we visit Yufuin again, we will make a Reservation at Nakaya. Thank you in advance.

I revisited this accommodation early because I had such a great experience last month. Although the Awazu Kaiseki did not include tempura, the delicious appetizers and eight kinds of fresh sashimi made the sake taste even better. By the time I finished the pork shabu-shabu and chawanmushi, I was already full, but the seasoned rice was so delicious that I ended up overeating. For breakfast, they served "Hyakumangoku" brand rice, which is often found in ryokan in Ishikawa Prefecture. However, their cooking method was exceptional, making it more delicious than any other ryokan I've stayed at before. While abalone, nodoguro fish, and Noto beef are available as additional orders, even without them, their delicately flavored dishes were more than satisfying. The bathwater quality was gentle on my sensitive skin and allowed me to soak for long periods without feeling overheated. The therapeutic waterfall shower relieved pain in my shoulders, neck, and back when applied to those areas—I even thought about saving money to come here for a week-long hot spring retreat someday! The room had been recently renovated; it was impeccably clean with a large LCD TV for added comfort. However, since we arrived early perhaps due to timing issues—the air conditioning wasn't turned on upon arrival during wintertime—it felt cold initially; preheating would have been appreciated during colder months like these! Lastly but importantly: homemade pudding by Okami (the hostess) tasted amazing too—overall providing excellent value exceeding expectations from this accommodation!

Located in an Onsen area, but it is not an Onsen. However, there is a large public bath, and it is clean. The rooms are also clean and give a comforting feeling like returning to your family home. It was very relaxing. A very nice accommodation. Yukata, toothbrushes, and towels are provided. However, razors are not available, so please bring one if you need to shave.

The traditional Japanese house atmosphere was wonderful, and the interior was kept very clean. I enjoyed a unique ambiance and relaxing time that I don't usually experience in daily life. Although I was slightly disappointed as the bath looked like a hinoki cypress bath in the photos, it turned out not to be one, but it was still clean and pleasant. If I visit Hida Takayama again, I would love to stay here once more.

There were various restrictions, but considering it as a guesthouse-style Accommodation, it was a good stay. It is an Accommodation that helps guests re-recognize proper manners, and I feel it represents what such an Accommodation should be. Also, given the location, I was able to wake up pleasantly to birdsong. The meals were home-style and delicious. If I may offer one comment: I understand it may be difficult with the current style, but if the sense of cleanliness could be improved just a little more, it would be an impeccable Accommodation. I would like to stay here again when visiting the area. Thank you very much.

I stayed here after looking for a budget-friendly place at the last minute. The amenities were fine, though there were no towels provided. The breakfast toast sandwich was incredibly delicious, and I’d love to have it again. The family-run atmosphere, with small children around, made the stay feel very cozy and welcoming. The Room and unit bath were clean, so I had no issues staying here. One minor disappointment was that I expected a family bath based on the website but found it out of service. Also, since it's not an extremely hot area, there was no air conditioning; however, having at least a fan would have been nice for slightly warm afternoons.

At the entrance, we were welcomed by motifs of Tentoki and Ryutoki. The stone garden “Yusentei,” Aizen Garden, and Tosentei were wonderful after the rain. The Onsen was natural, but unfortunately the open-air bath was too dark to see well. The carbonate spring bath was out of order and could not be used. The shojin-ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) was very delicious. The morning service was easy to join, which was nice. What was disappointing was that some guests speaking Chinese did not bring towels into the bath at all; they then left without drying off, leaving the floor soaked. They also brought canned beer and similar drinks into the shojin-ryori meal area to drink. In addition, they talked loudly on their phones with friends while using the Wi-Fi for a long time and seemed to take up most of the bandwidth, so it could not be used properly. The staff’s response was good; even if they were not Japanese, there were no problems as long as you spoke with them. Finally, I was surprised that the Room key is secured from inside with a simple latch/bolt. In terms of security, it felt like self-management is expected.

I visited during a solo motorcycle trip. Since it was near a ski resort, it seemed off-season, so there were few guests, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. Although I chose a no-meal Plan, I received complimentary coffee and freshly baked croissants in the morning. The croissants were freshly baked and delicious. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Our stay coincided with the traditional event "Owatari" in Shinojima. At check-in, we were informed that there would be a time when the entire island turns off its lights to align with the gods' procession. For about 20 minutes during dinner, the lights went out, and we enjoyed our meal using the provided candlelight and our phone lights. Although it was surprising at first, it turned out to be a rare and enjoyable experience. As mentioned in reviews, the food was delicious, and the facility was impeccably clean. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

Shuttle Service, two meals, a towel, and one drink were included for around 10,000 yen. It was very reasonable, close to the sea, and the view from the Room was fantastic. There are also sightseeing spots like the Anmo Observatory, which made the experience excellent. I would love to visit again.

I stayed here after being captivated by the night-view photos of the Onsen. Since this was a family trip with small children, I wasn’t expecting a luxury Ryokan, but because it’s located where you can take in a sweeping view of Toyama City (and even across to Imizu City), I never got tired of the scenery—sunrise, sunset, and night. Honestly, this location is truly one of a kind and priceless; it was far better than staying at some mediocre high-end Ryokan. I’ll upload my clumsy photos, but in person it’s 10 or 20 times more impressive. On the way to the Onsen there is a corridor explaining the history of the Kureha Hills, and I could really feel how much care and affection the staff have for this place and for this Hotel. The Facility is certainly Showa-era in style, but that actually made me feel even more attached to it. I felt genuinely happy to have discovered—and stayed at—this kind of Hotel. I also want to mention the breakfast buffet. Above all, I was amazed at how delicious the rice was. That wonderful white rice with miso soup and grilled fish in the morning—along with sides like okra and vinegared dishes—was something I truly enjoyed. Depending on where you’re going, if you plan to visit Toyama City or nearby Imizu City or Takaoka City, this is definitely a great choice. My kids absolutely loved Kodomo Mirai-kan at Taikoyama Land, so we’ll probably go back to Toyama next year—and when we do, I definitely want to stay at this Hotel again. The Japanese-style Room was spacious and clean, allowing us to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. The Onsen was excellent—at first it felt a little mild, but after soaking for about 10 minutes, my body warmed up and I could truly unwind.

From the hostess’s warm welcome to the stunning third-floor Room and terrace with exceptional views. The Room has windows on three sides. Open the door and you’re greeted by a view of Cape Shionomisaki. A terrace where you can enjoy both sunset and sunrise. Every dish was delicious—we ordered two servings each of the meat course and the fish course, and ended up overeating. I was a bit surprised that access to the Room was via an outdoor staircase I hadn’t expected, but once you come down the stairs, Cape Shionomisaki is right in front of you. If it had been raining, getting around might have been tough, but luckily the rain from the previous day had cleared, temperatures rose, and my mood soared too. The bath is not an Onsen, but while it shows its age, it was clean and felt well maintained. Another thing I loved was the “duvet cover.” It felt so nice that I want to find one for home—I wish I’d asked what brand it was. The Room itself was so comfortable, and it was great to just zone out while gently swaying in the hammock.

This Hotel is highly recommended for anyone considering a stay around Lake Yamanaka near Mt. Fuji. What I appreciated most was the free Shuttle Service from the Fujisan-Yamanakako bus stop to the Hotel. It is available between 15:00 and 17:00, and being taken directly to the Hotel after getting off the bus made me feel very comfortable even on my first visit. If you plan to use it, be sure to make a Reservation in advance online or by phone. The location is also excellent, and Rooms on the Mt. Fuji side offer a stunning view of Mt. Fuji right from the window—truly a highlight. Being able to relax in your Room while enjoying that view feels special. All of the staff were very kind, and it was impressive how attentive and pleasant everyone was, regardless of nationality. The overall atmosphere was warm, and I felt at ease throughout my stay. Before staying, I had seen in a Review that “the shower room is a bit small,” which made me slightly concerned, but in reality it was a unit-bath style setup and personally felt like an appropriate size. It was easier to use than I expected, with no inconvenience at all. I also added meals on-site, and the eel course was excellent—I was very satisfied. There were plenty of dishes included, which was especially enjoyable for an eel lover like me. With great views, location, service, and dining all well balanced, this is a Hotel I would happily choose again.

I recently stayed at Kawano-an, a separate building of Momijiya. Located in a quiet riverside area, the room offered beautiful views of the river, which was very soothing. Especially in the morning, waking up to the sound of the flowing river and birdsong allowed me to forget the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy peaceful moments. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful traditional Japanese atmosphere. The staff were very kind and provided attentive hospitality. The meals were made with fresh local ingredients and were all delicious. The dinner especially showcased seasonal flavors with beautifully presented dishes that were also visually enjoyable. The bath was relaxing and helped relieve my tired body completely. Overall, it was an excellent accommodation where I could feel Japan's traditional hospitality. I would love to visit again if I have another opportunity!

This is a private rental of a renovated traditional house, very spacious, and overall we had a comfortable stay. The bedroom was cozy, and the bathroom and vanity area were especially large, which made it convenient for two people to get ready at the same time. The lighting was bright and easy to use, insect control indoors was well handled, and we were able to use the Facility without any issues. When we consulted in advance about the check-in time, they kindly accommodated an earlier check-in, which was very helpful. There is also Shuttle Service available, making transportation very convenient. On the other hand, there are two points we would be happy to see improved. First is the height of some beams. For someone around 175 cm tall, a beam sits just above eye level, making it easy to miss—I hit my head several times. Since I hit it quite hard once, for safety it would be reassuring to have warning stickers or signs. Second, in the first-floor bedroom we could hear some road noise from passing cars at night. The second floor was relatively quiet, so those who are sensitive to noise may prefer sleeping upstairs. Other than that, everything was very comfortable and we enjoyed the unique atmosphere of a traditional house.

I stayed here during a trip from Kanagawa and stopped by Kurokawa Onsen. Everyone, including the manager, provided outstanding hospitality, and I had a very comfortable stay. I also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and the creative dishes were memorable. I was pleasantly surprised by the chawanmushi with shiratama dumplings and cheese—it was delicious. The horse sashimi was exceptional. When traveling in Kumamoto, I would like to stay at Wakaba again.

I stayed in a four-person Room with my mother, who uses a wheelchair. All the staff were very kind and attentive, and we felt truly comfortable throughout our stay. The Room had four beds plus an extra bed, as well as a sofa and table, yet it was still spacious enough for a wheelchair to move around easily. If I had one request, it would be for the step into the toilet to be a little lower. There were six private baths. Reservations are not available, but we were able to use them anytime without having to wait. The barrier-free bath allowed my mother to enter the changing area in her wheelchair, and the toilet was also barrier-free, which was very helpful. Above all, seeing how moved she was to enjoy an Onsen again after so long made me truly glad we chose this Accommodation. We also enjoyed a filling Japanese breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. If we have the chance to visit again, this is definitely an Accommodation I would love to stay at. Thank you very much!

Even when we arrived early 10 years ago on a family trip, they kindly let us use the pool. This time we stayed as a couple, and just like 10 years ago, all the staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. We would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much to the Taiwanese attendant who took such good care of us.

Miho Shrine and Aoishi Tatami Street are very close by, making it easy to explore the area on foot. After breakfast, we were able to walk to Miho Shrine to pay our respects, and it was a very meaningful time. We stayed as a family of five, and the Room was spacious and comfortable.
