After having lunch at a traditional Japanese restaurant on Hakatajima Island along the Shimanami Kaido, I visited two of the extra temples associated with Temple No. 88 before checking in. The display of miniature ship replicas is wonderful—perfect for a shipbuilding town. The bathroom fixtures are also set up to international standards, and it was fun that the faucet handles are reversed. I was also happy to find authentic Chinese cuisine on B1F at reasonable prices for dinner. This is probably my fifth stay here.

The atmosphere of the main building was wonderful. Maintaining such a historic building must take a lot of effort, so I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well kept it was. This time we chose the newer wing where we could enjoy the Onsen in our Room, but next time I would love to stay in one of the lovely Rooms in the main building, such as Sanraku or Kumoi. Dinner and drinks were delicious, and being able to enjoy them in our Room made it feel truly luxurious. All of the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and we made great summer memories. We will definitely come again.

Quiet and reassuring. Impeccably clean. From the stairs to the lobby, every space reflects the owner’s attention to detail. My favorite is the wraparound balcony—spending Kyoto’s magic hour here always leaves me feeling quietly happy.

I was worried about the heat, but the temperature dropped at just the right time, making for a very pleasant stay. There was no mention of it at check-in, but it seems our Room was upgraded, and I was truly impressed by how spacious and beautiful it was. The afternoon tea and breakfast were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff were extremely kind, so we could stay comfortably. I definitely want to stay here again. Thank you for taking care of us for two days. Thank you very much.

We were thoroughly satisfied with the many delicious, beautifully presented dishes that captured the transition from summer to autumn. We enjoyed them in a private dining Room with a waterfall right in front of us. We stayed in a detached suite called Suirei, where a small stream runs through the Room. From the spacious open-air bath, there is another smaller open-air bath just down a few steps; each has a different temperature, so you can soak for as long as you like. The garden was also expansive, and we were able to fully enjoy summer and feel refreshed. Thank you very much for celebrating our 60th birthday with us. I hope to visit again even when I’m a grandmother.

I’ve stayed here so many times that I’ve lost count, but this time I visited with my parents for my birthday trip. No matter when I come, the food is always satisfying, the Room is wonderful, and the Onsen leaves your skin silky smooth—nothing to complain about. Also, the light snacks in the annex lounge are exquisite, which makes me want to stay here again. They even celebrated my birthday, and it was a fantastic trip right to the end. This is an Accommodation that never disappoints no matter how many times I visit, so I’d like to keep coming back. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

I was impressed by the hospitality, the in-house services, the meals, and the breathtaking scenery that looked like a painting wherever I looked. I’m truly glad I chose this Hotel for my first stay in Hakuba. Next time, I’d love to visit this Hotel again during the autumn foliage season.

We stayed as a family of three. It was a villa-style Room, and our child was thrilled and had a great time. The meals were delicious, and above all, we were very satisfied with the excellent service from the staff. We used the in-room bath as well as the baths on the 1st and 2nd floors of the separate building. The separate building also has a sauna, so we enjoyed both. As noted in the guidelines, it’s an open space, so those who are concerned may want to be mindful—but we really enjoyed it!

On a whim, I made a same-day Reservation and stayed for one night. The Room was spacious, spotless, and wonderful. I also enjoyed the breakfast, including delicious local specialties. The staff were very courteous, and I had a truly comfortable stay. It was my first time in Hakata, and it became a precious memory. I was deeply impressed by the outstanding hospitality. We usually travel to the Hakone area a few times a year as a couple, but this time we stayed one night at “Rinpo Kiryū” for our first family trip, including several celebrations. We have had the chance to visit many Accommodations, but we have never encountered one as outstanding as this—everything from start to finish was truly moving. We arrived about an hour before check-in, yet we were warmly welcomed without hesitation. From a wonderful commemorative photo for our celebration to a heartfelt message card with the photo attached, we were touched by the surprise hospitality and thoughtful care. We are sincerely grateful to have made so many unforgettable memories for our family trip. Thank you very much. Above all, what deserves special mention is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From greeting us on arrival to seeing us off at the end, every moment was impeccable, allowing us to relax and enjoy unhurried time. Our assigned staff member was genuinely kind and always smiling; we enjoyed our conversations and were deeply impressed by their attentive care down to the smallest details—our whole family was moved. The guidance through the property—like a paradise filled with an extraordinary atmosphere—was also thorough, and everyone we met greeted us with smiles that put us at ease. Our Room was very spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotless. The bed was ideal for us—not too soft and not sinking in—so it was extremely comfortable. (My wife is quite particular about beds and rarely says this at other Accommodations, so I was surprised when she said she wanted to stay another night and didn’t want to go home yet.) During our stay, the Room included its own private open-air bath with free-flowing Onsen sourced directly from 100% natural spring water (no added water or heating)—a superb and rare Dōgashima Onsen often described as “legendary.” We could indulge in Onsen whenever we liked. In addition, there was an indoor hinoki Onsen bath, a private sauna, and even a pool, so our family could enjoy everything together. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; each dish was beautifully presented with great care, filled with creative ideas and thoughtful touches from the chef. There were also many staff members on hand—the service felt perfect. Based on our past experiences, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where service is this attentive in every respect. More than anything else, being able to stay at “Rinpo Kiryū” became a wonderful experience for our family. Thank you again very much. We would love to visit again.

I stayed for one night and two days to celebrate both my mother’s birthday and mine. At afternoon tea, you kindly wished us a happy birthday and showed such warm consideration. At the spa, you provided a quad cane for my mother, who feels unsteady on her feet, and even moved our locker closer to the bathing area—your thoughtful attention to detail truly moved me. We had Japanese cuisine for both dinner and breakfast, and everything was delicious. Although this is an international Hotel, we felt authentic Japanese hospitality throughout. You also took wonderful commemorative photos of my mother and me for our birthdays, which became a precious memory. Lastly, the malasada we enjoyed at afternoon tea was so delicious that I made a special request to have it again at breakfast. You kindly accommodated us, and I was able to enjoy it to the very end with no regrets (lol). Thank you! Thanks to the care shown by all staff members, it was an extremely satisfying stay. I would love to visit again with my mother.

I had long wanted to visit Akazawa Guest House, and this time I was able to stay there with my son and his wife. The exterior is wonderful, but once inside, I was amazed to see platinum used throughout the walls and other details. It was a beautiful space with clear attention paid to every element. The pampas grass in the courtyard was especially memorable, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful break from everyday life while feeling the charm of the season. Everything—the Room, the meals, and the atmosphere throughout the Accommodation—was of course excellent, but what stayed with me most was the warm hospitality of all the staff. My daughter-in-law is pregnant, and they kindly accommodated our requests in advance with great care. They prepared extra pillows in our Room and thoughtfully adjusted her meals as well, which we truly appreciated. In particular, the staff member who served our meals had such a lovely smile. Their service was both attentive and genuinely warm, which made us feel very at ease. The staff member who took photos for us also went beyond what we asked for, discreetly looking out for us so we could enjoy ourselves even more. Their thoughtfulness meant a lot to us. Of course it is an exceptional space with a sense of luxury, but even more than that, I felt that the detailed and heartfelt hospitality of everyone working there makes this Accommodation even more special. I am truly happy that we were able to spend such precious family time at Akazawa Guest House. On our way home, my son’s family and I said to each other, “Let’s come again.” Thank you very much for giving us such a memorable stay. We would love to visit again.

It was convenient to take the JR train from New Chitose Airport to Otaru, and from the station you can walk there through the covered arcade. The canal is also within easy walking distance, and the former Bank of Japan Otaru Branch is nearby as well—great location. The Room was simple, and amenities such as hair ties were provided in the Room. However, the vanity area in the Room had a slight musty smell. The soup curry at breakfast was excellent. You can make your own Eggs Benedict, which our child really enjoyed. The vegetable salad was fresh, and the fruit—especially blueberries and plums—was very tasty. Since it was during summer vacation, there was a line for breakfast, so it’s best to go as early as possible. The night parfait on the 11th floor had a great atmosphere and looked adorable—we loved it—but it wasn’t clear whether certain time slots or a Reservation were required. It seems to be only for one hour starting at 8:00 PM, and making a Reservation is recommended.

Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of us. This was a truly top-tier Accommodation that exceeded all expectations. I understand you are now in your 18th generation—when it comes to Onsen Accommodations, nothing compares to a long-established inn. Of course, both the large public bath and the in-Room bath are fed directly from the source with free-flowing spring water. The staff were exceptionally attentive—so much so that we almost felt apologetic for receiving such kindness. Above all, the dining was outstanding, far beyond anything we had imagined. The tableware was also beautiful throughout, including pieces inspired by Rosanjin’s works, making each meal a delight not only for the palate but also for the eyes. The Kaga cuisine was delicately seasoned yet deeply flavorful. Everything was immaculately cleaned, and the view from the window was truly soothing. While preserving the charm of this historic inn, the property has been beautifully renewed with touches of contemporary art woven in seamlessly. Naturally, many Rosanjin works are displayed throughout the building as well, and they were well worth seeing. I also suspect many guests may not notice this—but in the lobby, Rooms, and bathing areas: there are countless chairs everywhere, and most appear to be high-end pieces. I can only imagine how much has been invested overall; especially the chair inside the elevator must be quite expensive. Even details like lighting and clocks have clearly been chosen with great care. We visited with very high expectations for an Onsen Accommodation, yet everything surpassed them by a wide margin—truly impressive. We would love to return again soon.

I had used this Hotel a couple of times before for day use, but staying overnight was truly something special. The tower view was wonderful—you can see not only what’s right below you, but the entire panorama clearly. In a good way, it was different from the photos. And since I always chose a Room with a tower view, it might even have been the same Room as in my memories… I was so happy. As this is a historic Hotel, there are some older Facilities, but the comfort more than made up for it. Even though it’s high-class, having a microwave in the elevator hall felt very thoughtful—there must be many business travelers as well! I was also surprised by how many ingredients were in the fried rice at the Chinese restaurant, and the terrace projection mapping—and breakfast… The taste, variety, and uniqueness were all on another level. I made new memories and would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We stayed with our child, and thanks to the friendly staff who spoke to us warmly, both parent and child were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay with peace of mind. It was a great Hotel. The directions from Hiroshima Station were easy to understand thanks to the guidance on the website. It will be even more convenient once the underground passage construction is finished. The lobby had a wonderful, out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. It was also helpful that I could leave my luggage before check-in. The Room was spacious and clean, and I couldn’t hear noise from other guests, so I could relax. Breakfast was one of the highlights as well, and it lived up to its reputation—I really enjoyed it. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again if I have the chance.

This villa resort was a place I had always wanted to stay at, and this summer my wish finally came true.\nAs soon as we parked, the staff greeted us by name before we even introduced ourselves.\nWe completed check-in while enjoying a welcome drink and fruit, then headed to our Room.\nSeeing the view in person—one I had only seen in photos—was truly moving.\nBoth the BBQ dinner and breakfast were excellent.\nSince this trip also celebrated my partner’s new job, I emailed to request a surprise dessert plate, and I’m very grateful for their thoughtful assistance.\nI’m so glad we stayed here—it became a once-in-a-lifetime memory.\nI hope to return again someday if I have the chance.

We stayed here for our first fan trip, and both the exterior and the interior were wonderful. We were very happy that our Room was upgraded for four guests. The staff were professional and courteous, which made our stay very comfortable. I was personally pleased to find bath salts among the amenities. For breakfast, we could make a Reservation via QR code at our preferred time, so we weren’t tied to a schedule and could head to the buffet at a relaxed pace. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, all well-seasoned and delicious. With early-bird discounts and campaigns, the price was great value, making this an extremely satisfying fan trip. My friends were also very happy, and we’re already talking about staying here again. We look forward to seeing you next time as well. Thank you very much!!

We felt the thoughtful attention in our Room and at the restaurant, and my wife and I were able to enjoy a wonderful birthday. The Facility had the charm of a classic Hotel while offering the comfort of a Resort Hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen at Atagokan. If we have another chance to visit Karuizawa, we would love to stay again.
