From the moment we were picked up, the hospitality had already begun. We were completely satisfied with everything—from the guidance along the way to the warm welcome after arrival. Of course, we also enjoyed delicious meals. In the morning, we woke up to a ship’s whistle. The ever-changing view of the tides was truly soothing. We would love to visit again in another season.

This Hotel has an excellent location. From the Room, we enjoyed a large view of Lake Shoji and the “Kodaiki Fuji,” and were able to spend a truly luxurious time. The staff were all friendly and kind. The meals were delicious as well. We came to visit local hotspots, but even aside from that, we think it is a wonderful, homey Hotel.

We stayed for two nights as a couple. Dinner was served in the Room. The meals, including Omi beef, fish and vegetables from Shiga, and local sake, were all delicious. It is conveniently located near historical sites such as Hikone Castle, Omihachiman, Nagahama City, and Chikubu Island, making sightseeing enjoyable. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

Surrounded by nature, it was a very quiet and pleasant place. However, as there are no shops nearby, we recommend doing your shopping in advance.

We took a one-night family trip with our second-grade son. Just as the high ratings suggest, we’re glad we chose this Accommodation. The staff were very kind, and the food was so delicious it made us say “wow.” Our child was happy playing with the provided toys and games. Also, the chilled barley tea prepared in the Room was a nice touch. The scenery felt like being in the middle of a forest. However, in the bathroom, the blinds blocked any view outside, and we were a bit concerned about stains on the white wooden slatted mat. We made great memories exploring a limestone cave (there was a 100-yen discount coupon per person at this Accommodation), having lunch at the restaurant by Okutama Lake Dam the next day, and enjoying our train trip. This was my first stay in Taga Town. I was truly impressed to find such a wonderful Accommodation in Taga. From the time I made the Reservation until just before my stay, you kindly addressed all of my concerns and questions. During my stay as well, your warm hospitality meant a lot to me. The breakfast was delicious and clearly very healthy, and the after-coffee was especially excellent. I heard that breakfast is so popular that some guests come specifically for it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some guests come just for your coffee. In the peaceful surroundings, I was able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay. One request: the water drainage at the Tsugumi washbasin was poor, so I would appreciate it if you could check it. Other than that, I thought it was wonderful how this old and spacious traditional house has been kept so clean and well maintained. I would love to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

I have stayed here several times and am always very satisfied. The staff are all pleasant and excellent.

The accommodation is new, well-cleaned, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, allowing for a restful sleep. From the rooftop, you can enjoy views of Uehara Port and the sea, and on clear days, even the sunrise. The staff were incredibly kind and provided helpful advice about restaurants for dinner. Although the attached restaurant looked delicious, it was unfortunately closed during our stay. However, the croissant sandwich served for breakfast was greatly appreciated on Iriomote Island where shops and dining options are limited. The amenities were minimal but high-quality, with thoughtful touches like an outdoor drying rack available. Personally, I loved the abundance of power outlets—USB-equipped outlets by the bedside and desk as well as wall sockets made it easy to charge multiple devices like smartphones and laptops simultaneously. If I have another chance to visit Iriomote Island again in the future, I would definitely stay here!

We brought our own food this time, but the BBQ Facility was fully equipped, so we hardly needed to buy anything extra. It’s helpful to bring small bags for food waste and wet wipes. We were also able to borrow a long down coat, and with the heater, it was comfortable outside at night. We stayed for a birthday, and they surprised us with a cake! The dome tent with an auto-lock was also very comfortable. The lighting was wonderful, and the starry sky late at night was beautiful and relaxing. We’d love to stay again. Thank you!

The owner allows a comfortable level of freedom, making it feel like home. For shared rooms, the experience may depend on your roommate, but I had a wonderful encounter. Bringing your own food or dining out might be more convenient. It's very affordable, so you can enjoy a Multiple Night Stay without hesitation. The free drinks made with Beppu Benten Pond's famous water were delicious.

You can see the ocean beyond the fields right in front of you. There are chairs on the balcony, and I spent some time simply enjoying the view. The Room is compact, but everything is well arranged and it was very comfortable. It has a modern design, yet also feels warm and handmade. I stopped by while cycling around Okinawa, and I was able to store my bicycle in a large garage. Meals are not included, but there is a convenience store and an izakaya about a 12-minute walk away (the izakaya was closed on its regular day off, so I couldn’t use it).

The facilities felt a bit dated, as expected from a public accommodation. The room was a combination of Japanese and Western styles. While the Japanese-style side showed some signs of aging, the Western-style side seemed to have been renovated and was excellent. Although our room did not have a private bath, the large communal bath was conveniently close (it seems they accommodated our request for proximity due to my mother’s mobility issues). The room's location near both the dining area and the bath on the first floor was very convenient. The toilet and washroom were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The communal bath was also wonderful. The indoor bath had separate areas for washing and soaking, providing a peaceful experience when in the tub. The outdoor bath offered stunning views of autumn-colored mountains while listening to the gentle sound of a nearby stream—an exceptional experience available even late at night. Compared to the indoor baths, the outdoor baths were slightly cooler, perhaps designed for longer soaks. Above all else, however, it was the food that stood out as extraordinary! Despite jokingly mentioning that Gunma only has mushrooms, miso paste, and wild boar pork ("Inobuta"), these ingredients were crafted into delicious dishes with great care and creativity. The portions were generous; unfortunately, my elderly mother and wife couldn’t finish their meals entirely. The dishes made abundant use of fragrant mushrooms with mild yet flavorful seasoning—truly delightful! Miso paste seemed to be a local specialty here; its rich aroma enhanced various dishes beautifully. And then there’s sake! With around 40 varieties exclusively from Gunma breweries (if I recall correctly), choosing one can be overwhelming at first glance! We opted for their tasting set featuring five types (approximately 30ml each) priced at ¥1,500—and every single one tasted distinctively delicious! Individual glasses ranged between ¥600–¥800 per serving (about 180ml), making it hard not to deliberate over what next drink should follow! I particularly enjoyed "Hiraijo," while my wife preferred "Akagiyama," so we ordered another glass accordingly based on her choice afterward. A staff member who recommended these selections had extensive knowledge about sake which made conversations engaging throughout dinner service too! It’s no surprise this accommodation attracts many repeat visitors—it truly deserves such loyalty given how memorable our stay turned out overall. It was very good, but due to the typhoon, going to the toilet and such was affected by the typhoon. I stayed in Lodge B, and because the rain was heavy, I felt it would have been nice to have an eave.
