We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

This was a wonderful guest Room worthy of the “Special Suite Annex.” In particular, the Japanese-style Room facing Lake Shinji was a corner Room with a small Japanese garden, and we were able to relax while sitting on the veranda. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t go out onto the terrace due to the rain, but we were able to take our time soaking in the Onsen in the in-Room scenic-view bath while looking out over Lake Shinji. Each dish was excellent, and the sea bream rice at breakfast was outstanding.

It had been since last autumn, but this is an Accommodation that soothes me no matter when I visit. Of course, the Room and the Onsen are wonderful, as are the meals—modern French with witty, thought-provoking menus each time, and a Japanese breakfast made with carefully selected ingredients—but even more than that, I’m always delighted by the staff’s quiet attentiveness everywhere, including turndown service during both dinner and breakfast. I go outside the rear entrance to smoke each time, and there was a small bench that hadn’t been there before. Near the exit were several mats you can use on the bench. I was moved by these little touches and found myself even more captivated by Kokon. I’m already looking forward to deciding when to visit next.

We stayed as a mother-and-daughter trip to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We have stayed at many Accommodations, but our time at Fufu Nikko was truly unforgettable and the best we’ve ever had. The Room was extremely comfortable, and the in-room Onsen was wonderfully relaxing—we enjoyed it many times during our stay. The dining was also outstanding. Each dish was beautiful to look at and carefully presented on lovely tableware; you could feel the care and attention of the chefs, and everything tasted delicious. The final dish—rice with conger eel and lotus root—was especially wonderful, but we were so full that we couldn’t finish it. That is my only regret. Even now, my daughter and I still say, “We wish we could have eaten it all.” The whole cake I requested in advance for my daughter’s birthday was also set up beautifully when we returned to the Room after dinner. They even added flowers along with the cake, which deeply moved my daughter. Thanks to your thoughtful touch, it became a truly memorable birthday. Above all, what stayed with us most was the hospitality of your staff. From the warm welcome on arrival to the farewell at departure, everything felt comfortable. Wherever we met them, everyone greeted us kindly, and each small gesture made us feel genuine warmth. The explanations of each course were clear and attentive, and our casual conversations in between were delightful. The service never felt formal or stiff—just perfectly attentive with a comfortable sense of distance—and both my daughter and I were completely charmed by it. Of course the Facility and cuisine were wonderful as well, but this stay reminded me that what ultimately makes you think “I want to come back” is always the people. Even after returning home, my daughter and I can’t stop talking about Fufu Nikko. We’ve become big fans of “Fufu,” and are already planning which Fufu Accommodation to visit next—maybe even aiming to visit them all. I sincerely thank all of your staff for turning this important birthday trip into such a beautiful memory for us. We will definitely return. Thank you very much.

The meals were truly outstanding. The sake pairings were also excellent. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to return to for the first time in a while.

Since we don’t do sightseeing, we focus on meals and the Onsen and look for an Accommodation where we can relax in our Room—this place is perfect! Above all, the food is delicious, the Onsen feels wonderful, and we can spend time at ease in a simple yet spotlessly cleaned Room. The Wi‑Fi connects smoothly as well, so it’s completely stress-free. With each dish, we enjoyed imagining how it was prepared while looking at the menu, and once again our hearts were full—it was pure happiness. Not only is the cooking excellent, but the couple’s calm and gentle atmosphere is so comforting that this has become our favorite Accommodation. We’ll be back in a different season—thank you in advance.

Our three-generation family stayed for two nights, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, comfortable atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including history museums that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), making it enjoyable for all ages. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy the places we visited on this trip as well. We stayed here to celebrate a proposal—one of life’s most important milestones. What impressed us most during our stay was the thoughtful attention from everyone, especially the person in charge. For the surprise proposal, they handled everything flexibly to match the situation, including preparing and handing over the cake and bouquet, which allowed me to feel at ease on the day. Thanks to that support, it became an unforgettable, truly wonderful time. Every dish was genuinely delicious, and the explanations were perfectly paced—not too long or too short—so we could enjoy not only the flavors but also the dining experience itself. The atmosphere inside the Accommodation and the views were also outstanding, and we were able to relax from the heart. Above all, we were so happy that their desire to make our stay memorable came through in every interaction. Thanks to them, both my partner and I naturally found ourselves saying, “Let’s definitely come back for anniversaries,” and it became two irreplaceable days for us. I am truly grateful that we could welcome such an important moment of our lives at this Accommodation. This is a wonderful Accommodation I can confidently recommend to anyone who wants to spend special time with someone important—whether for a proposal or a wedding anniversary. Next time we visit, I hope we can return as husband and wife.

Perched on a hill, Umi no Shogetsu offers stunning views over Ise Bay, with the Suzuka Mountains visible in the distance. Every dish was delicious, as you would expect from a head chef who also serves as Secretary-General of the Kyoto Cuisine Research Association. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were mellow and carefully crafted—we enjoyed every last bite. Simply gazing at the scenery is soothing. We were very satisfied with the attentive hospitality.

I visited to relax with my daughter, who has just started her first job. On the day, we were picked up by the Shuttle Service to the athletic park. We didn’t have to wait long, and the careful driving made it very comfortable. The Room was lovely, and the night view was amazing. The meals were delicious, and the tableware was beautiful as well. We were very satisfied. Next time, we’ll visit in a different season.

We were welcomed at the entrance, completed a seated check-in, and when we arrived on our Room floor, the lovely aroma (bergamot) made us feel wonderful. Our Room was upgraded for us. The open-air bath in the Room was spacious and very relaxing. The large public bath was also excellent. Dinner was delicious from start to finish. The Shimane wine as an aperitif was so good that we also had a glass of white wine—and the tasting of three local sakes was outstanding. The meal included wagyu simmered in wine, simmered nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), Shimane wagyu shabu-shabu, and unameshi—all incredibly tasty. I was completely full and thought I could only manage dessert, but I ended up finishing everything. So full! Breakfast was also wonderful—the freshly grilled overnight-dried conger eel was amazing. And my favorite treat, the shijimi clam miso soup, had large clams and a light flavor; it naturally made me let out an “ah,” like something out of Bakébaké-style folklore. All of the staff were polite and kind, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. It turned into a great trip, and we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here with my child. The building blends beautifully into a quiet, peaceful town, and its wonderful atmosphere instantly soothed both body and mind after a long day of walking. Both dinner and breakfast were cooked right in front of us, making for an enjoyable, delicious, and truly memorable time. I’m really glad we chose to stay here. Thank you very much.

I hadn’t visited Arima Onsen for quite some time since the COVID-19 pandemic, but if I was going to return after so long, I wanted an exceptional place for both cuisine and Onsen—so I decided to splurge on this Accommodation. I had known the name Kinzan for years, but everything was far beyond my expectations, and my mother was absolutely delighted as well. This time we fully enjoyed the live conger eel kaiseki along with the Onsen, and if possible, we’d love to visit again during crab season.

This was my first time visiting Sarugakyo Onsen, and to be honest, it didn’t feel like there was much sightseeing, but this Accommodation was so wonderful that I’d come back just to stay here again. The staff were all very hospitable, and the food was excellent. The pizza in particular was truly delicious—I ended up eating far too much. I’d love to visit again! Thank you very much.

We stay here every year, and since the rebranding and reopening, both the cuisine and the service have been taken to an even higher level—making for a truly satisfying stay. I was genuinely impressed by the chef’s careful selection of ingredients and the time and effort put into each dish. Even breakfast featured thoughtfully prepared items, and our food-loving family was more than satisfied. Being able to see the chef at the end of the meal and exchange a few words made dining even more special. The course itself reflected the chef’s warm personality, which makes us look forward to our next visit. We would love to return in a different season. We visited during Golden Week for a birthday trip. From the warm welcome to the lounge, Room, baths, and meals, everything throughout our stay was wonderful and made it a truly unforgettable trip. The view from the Room was beautiful, and we were able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time. Every dish was genuinely delicious; even though the portions were generous, it was so good that I finished everything for the first time. All of the staff were consistently kind and attentive, which made our entire stay very comfortable. We also went to an outside bath, but it was quite crowded—so much so that we felt completely satisfied with just the Ryokan’s baths. In particular, the in-Room bath had perfect temperature and excellent water quality, and it was incredibly soothing. I’ve been traveling about once every two months for many years, but this is the first Ryokan that truly made me think, “I definitely want to come back.” Next time, I’d love to visit during crab season. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

I came to Nara for the first time with my mother because we wanted to see Nara Park and the deer. We chose this Ryokan because it is close to Nara Park and has an in-room Onsen. I love traveling both in Japan and abroad, and when traveling domestically, I enjoy staying at Onsen Ryokan and wonderful Hotels. I have visited many places, but Fufu Nara was truly outstanding. Sightseeing was fun as well—we explored more than just the deer—and I would definitely like to visit Nara again, and return to Fufu Nara too. The staff’s hospitality was excellent; everyone was incredibly kind. The room and the Onsen were very clean and perfect. All of the food was delicious. We will be back.

This was my first stay at Fufu Karuizawa Shoyo no Mori. Last year, I stayed at Fufu Karuizawa Yoko no Kaze and was very satisfied, so this year I chose Shoyo no Mori. The property has a calm atmosphere, with a relaxing lobby lounge and courtyard. The Room was spacious, and the Onsen was wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I would definitely like to stay again.

Thank you for taking care of us for two nights and three days. I have stayed in many places around Japan, but this is the first time I’ve written a Review. It was a wonderful stay, and although I didn’t have time to properly express my thanks in person, I’d like to do so here. Work has been very busy lately, and this time I came hoping to “just relax,” and this Accommodation was exactly what I was looking for. From our Room we could look out over the sea at Matsushima, and without having to leave the Accommodation much at all, we were able to spend slow, luxurious time simply gazing at the ocean. The cheerful and courteous service from the staff in charge of our Room left a strong impression on me, and thanks to them we felt comfortable throughout our stay. At the dining venue as well, they casually checked in with us—“Are you cold?”—and even someone like me who gets cold easily was able to relax comfortably. The tea sweets provided were delicious, and the bath was extremely soothing. After bathing, it’s also a fond memory that I could unwind by reading while enjoying cold tea at “Salon Kura.” Every meal was truly delicious. In particular, the anago (conger eel) takikomi rice really stayed with me. We were told that any leftovers could be made into rice balls, but it was so easy to eat that we kept reaching for more with our chopsticks and finished it all. My partner seems especially impressed by the Sendai Kuroge Wagyu steak. Being able to grill sasa-kamaboko at breakfast also made me happy—it felt uniquely Miyagi. Even when we were leaving, you prepared sightseeing maps and gourmet information for us as well, and we felt your warm thoughtfulness right until the end. It was a truly lovely Accommodation where you can take your time enjoying both Matsushima’s scenery and how comfortable everything feels on-site. It ended up being a stay that refreshed both body and mind. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much for everything during our stay.
