The Room is comfortable with a pleasant view, and you can enjoy the nearby Heart Rock all to yourself on an early morning walk. The homemade vegetable-rich breakfast prepared by the warm and kind owner was also very delicious.

As the first trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we stayed at Arayashiki in Oki. We were able to relax as if we were at home, including enjoying the garden with a sky full of stars and a campfire. The meals reflected a deep respect for nature and made us feel, “This is what doing things right looks like.” The nature on Dogo Island was wonderful, but as someone who loves spectacular views, I’m glad we made the effort to visit Matengai Cliff in Dozen. If the timing works out, I’d love for our children to experience this too.

I visited with a friend for our once-a-year, slightly indulgent girls’ trip. The Accommodation seems to be located right in front of a local bus stop, but part of the national highway on the bus route was closed due to a landslide and buses were taking a detour, meaning extra travel time from both Takayama and Matsumoto. So my friend drove from Nagoya instead. We took a short break at the Hirugano Kogen Service Area to enjoy the magnificent scenery, and arrived comfortably in just under three hours with no traffic. There were spots with some snow remaining along the sides of the road, but there was no snow on the road itself. Even so, it gets cold in the mornings and evenings, so winter tires are recommended for peace of mind in case of icy conditions. The building is kept impeccably clean and is wrapped in a pleasant quietness and the lovely aroma of charcoal from the irori hearth—while our Room had no odor at all. We were welcomed into a spacious Room with delicious homemade pound cake as part of their hospitality, and as we chatted comfortably, time flew by. The cuisine was truly outstanding—bringing out the full flavor of each ingredient while presenting combinations and plating unlike anything I’d experienced before, far exceeding its reputation and my expectations. As richer foods have started to leave me feeling heavy or unwell the next day over recent years, I especially appreciated how refined every dish was; it felt like food I could happily enjoy even in my 80s without any heaviness. The chef’s and staff’s genuine desire for guests to enjoy themselves came through clearly. Perhaps because of the high altitude, alcohol seemed to hit more quickly—and since I also wanted to bathe—I unfortunately didn’t get around to trying the local craft beer or sake provided in our Room. Still, stepping outside after the sauna into crisp mountain air with grand peaks right before us felt incredible. The private hot Onsen bath attached to our Room—hotter than expected—with jazz at night and birdsong in the morning was pure luxury: an unbelievably relaxing stay beyond what I could imagine. I’d love to return to experience another season’s cuisine as well—I’ve become a true fan. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

Staying in this renovated historic building was a truly unique experience that we don’t usually get to have. The thoughtful touches were wonderful, and the staff spoke to us kindly and warmly. Breakfast was also very delicious.

We stayed as a family, and the owner's warm hospitality was truly wonderful, making it a delightful stay for our children as well. The owner kindly played with the kids and gently taught them how to fish, showing great kindness. There is also a famous shop nearby selling Sata Andagi, which was delicious. However, the children were overjoyed and said that the handmade Sata Andagi from the owner's wife was "absolutely better!" The lagoon right in front offers an excellent location for kayaking. Unfortunately, due to wind conditions this time, we couldn't visit 17ND. We are determined to try again next time! We will definitely return!

Conveniently located near the station and just off a main road, this Facility was easy to access. It wasn’t tucked away too far, yet it was quiet and comfortable. The Facility is equipped with relatively new amenities, and having cooking utensils provided was especially convenient. There is no TV in the second-floor bedroom, but futons were also available in the first-floor closet, so guests who prefer complete darkness and quiet or who find it difficult to go up and down to the second floor can still sleep comfortably. It was very convenient, and I would like to stay here again when sightseeing around Fushimi Inari.

During the Obon holiday, we spontaneously decided on a trip to Iwate and were lucky to find availability for accommodation. We stayed as a couple in a luxurious traditional Japanese house located on the site of an old castle. We bought local ingredients and sake from a nearby supermarket and enjoyed cooking ourselves. The joy of savoring fresh vegetables and meat we personally selected is one of the unique pleasures of having the entire place to ourselves. The facility provided plenty of dishes and glasses for use. For breakfast, complimentary homemade crispy green peppers, eggplants, rice, and more were offered. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are modern and comfortable. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, with sounds of insects at night and birds in the morning creating a nostalgic countryside atmosphere. As someone who grew up in an old countryside house myself, I found many inspiring ideas for renovations here. The owner was kind throughout our stay while maintaining just the right amount of distance for comfort. This is a place that makes you want to return every year. Thank you very much!

We visited with our 4-year-old and 0-year-old children. The baby stayed in a living room baby playpen (brought from home), while the 4-year-old had a blast in the pool all day. From the terrace chairs, we could see both children, making it a relaxing and well-thought-out design! The standard amenities were plentiful and comfortable, but there were also many child-friendly items, which was very helpful. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our visit. However, unexpectedly, one-third of the pool had an adjustable roof that allowed us to enjoy it even in the rain! (→ This feature is so convenient that you should promote it more on your website!) If I may suggest one improvement: having foldable tarps or parasols available for rent (even for a fee) would allow for more covered areas over the pool and make visits less weather-dependent. Overall, this accommodation is highly recommended for families with children!

This was our second stay, following last year, and we were very satisfied. The mountain road to the Accommodation seemed better lit than last year, so we felt safe even at night. We were also glad to have the unexpected chance to chat with the owner. Summer really is the best. We’ll be back again.

They called us before our stay, and on the day we accidentally walked right past the place, but the staff kindly helped us, and we had a very pleasant time. They explained everything in detail inside the Accommodation, and it was a big help that they told us we didn’t need to clean up after breakfast. The kids had so much fun in the large pool that they wore themselves out, and the evening barbecue was lavish and very delicious. There was a wood-burning stove in the entryway area, so we’d like to come again in winter. Thank you very much.

We went touring around the Miyama area and stayed at this Accommodation for one night with two friends. It’s in a place with amazing views, and the Accommodation was clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated with artwork. There is a bath on the second floor, and soaking in it while looking out at the mountains was absolutely wonderful. For dinner, we made a special request and they prepared amago trout for us; the chicken hot pot and wild boar were incredibly delicious. The view while dining was also very nice. Breakfast was Japanese-style, and the local ingredients were excellent. The hosts were very kind and easy to talk to, and we truly appreciate all their help. Even though it was just one night, it was deeply relaxing—we could take our time, and it turned into an amazing day. Since the scenery changes with each season, we definitely want to stay at this Accommodation again! We also received jam and a penlight as souvenirs.

My friend and I stayed at OCEAN. When we woke up around 6:00 a.m., the sun was just rising. Through the large bedroom window, we saw the calm Seto Inland Sea and a soft pastel sky, and watching the orange sun appear between them was beyond words. When we stepped outside and went down the stairs, there was also a sandy beach that felt like our own private ocean—I’d love to come back in summer. Because it’s an entire home rental, we were able to relax together without worrying about anyone else, which was wonderful. It became one of my best memories from our trip to Kagawa.

Stayed in mid-January. Thank you for the thoughtful amenities such as rice, sparkling water, eggs, coffee, and seasonings. As mentioned in some reviews, the sauna temperature felt a bit lacking. It might have been due to the winter season, but it was slightly disappointing. Additionally, the mirroring function on the projector didn’t work well—possibly due to poor Wi-Fi connection. However, the room, kitchen, and location were excellent! I would love to stay again.

I have traveled to many places, but this was an indescribably wonderful space where I had a truly great time. Despite the unfortunate rain, I was able to enjoy the outdoors without getting wet. Bringing my dog, enjoying the open-air bath, and experiencing outdoor activities—all my wishes came true!

The entire property, inside and out, was very well cleaned. The Room was spotless. We were told the bed mattress had been upgraded, and it was extremely comfortable—I slept great. The Room also has high ceilings, and the air conditioning was very comfortable. The amenities were so plentiful we couldn’t use them all. The towels were great quality too. The small shelf next to the sink was especially helpful. Since we did laundry, having plenty of towels was perfect. There’s also a dryer—nothing to complain about. For cooking for yourself, everything you could need is provided! There were even items you don’t usually find at other Accommodations, so it felt like being at home. Thoughtful touches stood out as well, like a magnetic towel hanger. I’ve stayed in dozens of whole-house rentals, and the attention to detail in what’s provided here is outstanding. The outdoor pool was amazing too. Bugs didn’t bother us at all—in fact, it made us wonder if there are really this few bugs on Miyakojima. The location is excellent: close to downtown and also very convenient for Irabu Island, which we love. If I had to make a request: the body soap felt quite slippery and didn’t rinse off well, so it didn’t feel like I’d properly washed; and considering taking dishes poolside, it would be reassuring to have some unbreakable tableware as well. A full-length mirror would also be appreciated. Among the places I’ve stayed in Okinawa, this ranks right up there as one of the most comfortable (top one or two). We will definitely stay again!

Opening the front door reveals an ocean view, and the Room has been beautifully renovated—clean, spacious, and wonderful. However, there was a lot of dog hair from a previous guest on the floor and sofa. The stick vacuum was out of charge, so we used the provided lint roller to clean. There was no liquid left for the vape-type insect repellent. Also, since there is no night light on the second floor, a stand light had been provided as an alternative, but it was broken. The floors did not feel thoroughly cleaned, which was a bit disappointing. The BBQ grill didn’t seem to get hot enough—at first I thought it might be broken, though now I think it may have been due to how it’s operated. That said, the area is a quiet residential neighborhood with a supermarket nearby. The view from the windows is amazing—you can see the sea—and at night the stars are beautiful. Most cooking utensils and seasonings are provided. There’s no TV service, but Wi-Fi is available and you can project Netflix and other content onto the wall for a home-theater experience. The interior has been renovated; upstairs is set up as bedrooms; and both the toilet and bath are very clean. The air conditioning works well. The best part by far is the continuously flowing open-air bath: both the indoor bath and open-air bath are natural Onsen. The round open-air bath is about 160 cm in diameter and can fit three people comfortably. It helped us forget everyday life and truly relax. We also appreciated receiving a paella meal kit as a seasonal perk—thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. We booked again because we trust that making a Reservation through IKYU won’t disappoint. Overall, it was very good—a wonderful time—and our dog enjoyed it too.

I was able to get away from everyday life and truly enjoy my stay. The duck hot pot at dinner had a comforting broth, the rice was delicious, and the local sake Hanatomoe was easy to drink and paired perfectly with the meal. And the water is wonderful—I believe you mentioned that you use spring water from underground. We enjoyed so many blessings from the mountains and river and finished everything. Thank you for the feast. The Dorogawa Onsen bath was also soothing and relaxing. Thank you for everyone’s warm hospitality and thoughtful care.

The seafood-focused dishes were truly delicious. I was able to fully enjoy the professional craftsmanship, from the delicate seasoning to the careful attention paid even to the temperature of the tableware. The Facility is old, but it is thoroughly cleaned, and you can enjoy a charming Showa-era retro atmosphere. The bedding was also fluffy and thick, and I was able to sleep soundly. I would love to celebrate my birthday here again next year.

After climbing Mt. Inaboshi in Kuju as a couple, we stayed here. It rained throughout the hike and we got quite cold, but after coming down, soaking in the warm Onsen, enjoying our favorite beer, and having a delicious course meal was the best. We were comforted by the warm hospitality of the couple who run this Accommodation. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Dinner was outstanding from appetizers to dessert, both in presentation and flavor. The herb-roasted chicken main was so delicious I could have eaten several servings. It was also great that the portions of pizza and pasta could be adjusted depending on how hungry we were. The bath was spacious as well, and it helped us relax after a long drive. We also appreciated having items like clothespins and extension cords available in the hallway for guests to use freely. The homemade jam at breakfast was delicious too—I ended up eating too much bread. We’d love to visit again during the snowy season.
