The Room was spacious, so I could relax and unwind. I was lucky to get it at half price during a sale. This Room had more train noise than usual, but I always sleep with earplugs, so it didn’t bother me much. It was relaxing and comfortable. The Hotel staff are always pleasant.

We had a relaxing stay! The front desk staff’s warm smiles and service were excellent!

We stayed here for a trip to Yamanashi. We stayed two nights, and it was disappointing not to see Mt. Fuji from the first day, but on the last day we could see Mt. Fuji perfectly from the window! There are houses nearby, but it was my first time seeing Mt. Fuji so beautifully and I was truly moved. I think this is a log cabin with a spectacular view. The cabin has a cypress barrel bath, which feels wonderfully luxurious. This time we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji while bathing, but on a clear day it seems like it would be an amazing scenic bath! The public bathhouse directly across the street was also great.

This was my third stay here, as part of a summer training program. The hot spring water is simply wonderful, but it seems the Facilities can be damaged because of it. There was a handwritten note explaining the reasons—such as how it relates to the spring’s mineral content—and it felt thoughtfully handled. This year I chose a plan without meals, so I can’t comment on the food. During this stay, I accidentally left something behind in my Room, and I truly appreciate how warmly and kindly you responded to my request. Thank you very much. I’d love to visit again someday during the colder season.

We stayed here during Golden Week. Dinner was a sukiyaki set and breakfast was French toast, and to be honest, we didn’t have high expectations. Just in case, we bought some good sukiyaki beef at a nearby butcher, but the ingredients provided for both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However, we couldn’t find any clear information about what type of equipment was provided for making sukiyaki, so after searching for quite a while we contacted the staff. Even then, they didn’t know right away and said they would get back to us. In the end we were able to confirm the equipment type and how to use it, but it would be very helpful if this could be explained clearly somewhere. We only stayed one night this time, but we’d like to come back and stay longer.

This time, I stayed in a corner Room (Type C) on the top floor (4th floor). Because it was a semi-open-air bath with 24-hour circulation, I could use it anytime without the hassle of filling the tub, which was great. I chose a Plan without meals, so I stocked up at a local supermarket before arriving, but the selection of frozen foods and boxed meals there was limited and overpriced—I wish I had shopped at Don Quijote across from Marine Town instead. The check-in process at the Accommodation is a bit unfriendly and may be confusing for first-time guests. You open the sliding window by the stairs on the 1st floor and operate via a touch-panel monitor, but you need to enter your Reservation Number or QR code. You also need to enter information for accompanying guests along with the Reserver’s details, so it would be better if this were explained in advance in the Reservation instructions. It also would have helped to know beforehand that you must pay a Hot Spring Tax of 300 yen per person at check-in. *Depending on the booking site, this information may have been provided. The Room was very clean, and unlike typical hotels, there are plenty of power outlets—so charging devices shouldn’t be an issue. There are also outlets by the bedside (upper area) along with lighting, which is convenient if you charge your phone while sleeping. Free Wi-Fi was available; with three other guest groups (judging by the number of cars in the parking lot), speeds were reasonably good. Getting to the Accommodation may take some effort due to rough road conditions. If you take the road marked “No entry except Minori Village personnel,” it works as a shortcut and you can reach it without problems; however, if you simply follow GPS directions, you may end up on narrow roads and taking a longer route—so checking in advance is recommended. If you’re lucky with other guests, it’s quiet and ideal for relaxing indoors at your own pace. If that concept suits you, I think it’s an excellent Accommodation.

I stayed one night with my small dog, son, and wife. The Room was spacious, and best of all, there were two Onsens in the Room—so relaxing. There was also an outdoor garden dog run, and watching our dog happily run around while taking in the magnificent scenery and nature of Lake Ashi was even more soothing. Next time, I think it would be great to bring our own ingredients and enjoy a cozy stay-in getaway.

If the in-Room TV could stream YouTube and Netflix, I think it would be even more comfortable to relax and unwind, as the Room layout was great. I would love to have YouTube and Netflix available!

While preserving the traditional machiya atmosphere overall, the Accommodation has been thoughtfully renovated with a focus on key areas such as the bathroom and kitchen—spacious, spotless, and highly practical. It was a comfortable space with an excellent sense of balance. Unlike a typical Hotel stay, it offered an experience that blends into the neighborhood, and I felt as if I were spending my very first day after moving in. There are many lighting fixtures, and being able to fine-tune them to suit different situations was very convenient. The complimentary local drinks—such as roasted green tea and cider—were a delightful touch that added to the travel mood. Everything from the teapot and cups to the tray and even the hair dryer had a refined design that was pleasing to look at. It was a wonderful Room combining quality with functionality. Under normal circumstances this would unquestionably be a 5-star stay, but this time I am rating it 3 stars. The guests upstairs ran around for minutes at night and again the next morning like shuttle runs, even falling loudly at times. It was noise at a level that would feel excessive even in an ordinary Hotel—and all the more so in a machiya-style place like Komado. Even if our floors were reversed and I were staying upstairs, it would still have carried through. It was extremely difficult to endure. I wanted to raise this through staff, but neither the main phone line nor the emergency contact number could be reached around 7:30 p.m. I believe this Accommodation’s core appeal is its high-quality feel that blends seamlessly into everyday life in town, so it was deeply disappointing that such noise is fundamentally incompatible with that experience. That said, if you are not paired with guests like we had this time, it will surely be an outstanding stay without complaint. Being able to look out onto the courtyard was also fantastic; it is illuminated at night and offers scenery different from daytime—I never got tired of it!

I was worried because the reviews weren’t very good, but nothing really bothered me. In any case, it was inexpensive, the Room was spacious, and being surrounded by nature with fresh air was very refreshing. Since it was No Meals Included, we didn’t do a barbecue or anything like that, but there were lots of dogs and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Above all, the kids enjoyed it, so we were very satisfied.

We stayed with one dog and a family of four. As soon as we entered the Room, everyone said, “So clean!” The bathroom, kitchen, toilet, and other water areas were spotless and wonderful. The living room, bedroom, and garden were also comfortable, all the Facility was well equipped, and the thoughtful touches were excellent. Time flew by so quickly that next time we’d like to stay for two nights. The person managing the property was very pleasant as well—it made for a great summer vacation!

We always use this place for our girls’ get-togethers. We have fun cooking together, soak in the jacuzzi, and enjoy champagne. With three bedrooms, we can relax and get a good rest. We’re also impressed every time by how spotless everything is. We usually stay right up until checkout, and they even took a commemorative photo of us outside on our way out! They also give us a Ryoma Passport as a gift, which we look forward to each time. One request: the shower is ReFa, but the hair dryer is different—so we’d love it if the hair dryer could be ReFa as well. We’ll plan our next stay and would love to come back again.

This was my first time staying here. The Room was spacious—there was plenty of space even for four people to sleep comfortably. The staff at reception were very kind and even told us where we could see the fireworks. The bath area was not crowded, so it felt like we had it all to ourselves. I could relax, and the open-air bath was excellent. However, the baths are in a separate building, and there is no roof over the walkway, so when it drizzled lightly the path became slippery and felt dangerous. Aside from that, everything was clean and well maintained—nothing to complain about. You can buy draft beer at the front desk, and both the glass and beer were ice-cold—it tasted better than any other beer! I would like to stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Our child is still small, so we chose this apartment-style Accommodation instead of a Hotel to relax without worrying too much, and we’re glad we did! We’ve stayed in apartment-style places several times before, but this one was the best. Having a washing machine and a clothes dryer was a must for us, and it made our stay incredibly comfortable. It was quiet at night, and in the morning we took walks to the beach to watch the sunrise—making it a truly memorable trip. If we visit Ishigaki Island again, we would love to stay here again. The place was well cleaned and felt very fresh and spotless. For those who want to go out drinking around downtown, you’ll need a car to get around, so it may feel inconvenient.

We visited last year for a tennis training camp with friends and family and were extremely satisfied, so we came back again. We stayed around mid-May this year as well. It rained on check-in day, but it started to clear around 4:00 pm and we were able to play for about two and a half hours. Having bathrooms/showers on each floor (two in total) was great, as it helped avoid congestion after sports. The tennis locker room is also directly connected to the entrance, which was perfect. For dinner, we picked up supplies at a butcher shop and Watahan about 15 minutes away by car and had a BBQ on the terrace. Since it’s covered, rain during the meal wasn’t an issue at all. The kitchen is well equipped too—if you bring your own seasonings, you can cook just about anything. We also had a lot of fun playing table tennis after dinner. On check-out day, we could use the tennis court until 12:00 pm, so we stayed active until we were fully satisfied, then headed home after eating Yoshida udon. It was an amazing one-night/two-day stay. We’d love to stay again.

We stayed here with three generations to celebrate my mother's birthday. We were able to spend a luxurious and relaxing time. The staff at the accommodation were wonderful and very considerate, thank you so much. With cats around, it was the perfect accommodation for us cat lovers.

Recommended by a gourmet friend, I stayed at this accommodation. Having lived in Eastern Hokkaido before, I had visited the surrounding area often but was not very familiar with Lake Kussharo. Curious about the place, I decided to visit and was immediately impressed by the stunning mountain views from the lodge. The rare snowfall for this region added to its charm this year. The experience of checking in via canoe or snowshoe from Lake Kussharo was truly memorable. The accommodation building featured facilities such as a sauna, cold bath, and barrel bath. It was delightful to cool off while enjoying the snowy scenery after using the sauna. For the first time, I also experienced tending a fireplace with firewood, which allowed me to spend mindful and relaxing moments. The meals were Chinese-inspired cuisine and absolutely delicious! The chef skillfully prepared luxurious ingredients like abalone and shark fin for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you for kindly preparing additional mapo tofu as well—it was fantastic! Breakfast was equally exceptional. While having dinner, it started snowing outside; we appreciated how staff thoughtfully cleared snow just before we returned to our room in the accommodation building. Although it would be nice if improvements could be made regarding some minor points—such as whether or not the baths are onsen or addressing slight odors in rooms with toilets and showers—the overall experience far outweighed these small concerns. It left such an impression that I ended up making a summer reservation before leaving! This place is truly remarkable—I look forward to visiting again during another season for more unique experiences. Thank you so much for providing such precious memories!

This was my third visit to Ojika. Despite being easily accessible by ferry from Hakata Port, the island offers a relaxing pace and private atmosphere unique to island life, making it a regular destination for me. This time, I stayed at an accommodation that is a historic former merchant house available for private rental. With no meals included, I could enjoy my stay without worrying about time constraints, feeling as if I were in my own vacation home and truly relaxing. The luxurious hinoki cypress bath was particularly delightful with its soothing aroma, melting away all travel fatigue. The building retains the charm of a traditional Japanese house while featuring modern facilities for ultimate comfort. The spacious garden adds to the serene ambiance that helps you forget the hustle and bustle of city life, and the location offers stunning views of the sunrise in the morning—simply perfect! Additionally, its proximity to the port is convenient, and there are charming local cafes and breakfast spots nearby where you can leisurely explore and savor island time at your own pace.

Among all the Hotels I have stayed at, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, this was my No.1 experience. The Room had a pleasant fragrance, a luxurious atmosphere, and an excellent interior design.

Rather than spending the trip staying inside a Hotel or Ryokan, I was able to fulfill every wish: enjoying delicious food in the great outdoors, taking in the mountains and starry skies, soaking in the Onsen, and truly refreshing both body and mind. The entire Facility was impeccably clean and comfortable, and above all, I was delighted by the staff’s warm hospitality. Many of them are young, but it was clear through every interaction how well trained and knowledgeable they are. Their thoughtful attention to detail made the stay enjoyable from start to finish—I’m so glad we came. With the wine pairing at dinner, we were able to enjoy a variety of wines, and the kinki (rockfish) acqua pazza was especially outstanding. The Shuttle Service from Nagano Station also made getting there worry-free, resulting in two very satisfying days. Thank you very much. I feel the Accommodation rate is well worth it. Next time, I’d love to visit with my son as well.
