We stayed here for a family celebration. This villa is filled with the owner’s memories, and while preserving the warmth and nostalgia of wood, it has been beautifully and stylishly renovated. The view from the large windows was stunning, and the spacious interior felt open and comfortable even for a three-generation stay. The natural Onsen with free-flowing hot spring water was wonderfully relaxing, and we could really feel the Accommodation’s attention to detail in touches like Marks & Web amenities and eco-friendly choices such as wooden toothbrushes. For BBQ on the terrace, we rented the optional electric grill. It was very convenient—no need to start a fire—so we could begin right away even after enjoying sightseeing around Yufuin until evening. Watching streaming services on a projector instead of a TV also felt refreshingly special. Because the roads nearby are narrow, larger vehicles require careful driving, but we appreciated receiving a detailed route guidance email in advance. This is such a lovely Accommodation that one night feels too short. We’d love to return in another season.

It was the end of summer vacation, and only one other group was staying there. We had a barbecue by the pool and bought seafood (shrimp and shellfish) at nearby Uotaro to eat. The Room was spacious, and there were chairs on the terrace as well. We were able to spend a relaxing time. The open-air bath in the guest room was excellent, and our family used it many times. We’d like to visit again.

At the very end of summer vacation, my husband and son insisted on coming here for glamping. As a woman, I was honestly a bit nervous about the Facility and meals—but it was simply the best. 【Check-in】 They explained the Facility to us. At the marché, there were vibrant vegetables and even seafood in a large tank! Some items are free, and others can be exchanged with coins you receive—choosing what to get was so exciting. We booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, but the portions were incredible. Even my big-eating husband and son had more than enough with what was included in the Plan! (Any unused coins could be saved for Shizuoka souvenirs or even kept for our next stay.) In the firewood area, there were many different types of wood. The Room already has firewood for cooking, but here you can choose wood to enjoy different sounds and aromas. 【Room】 It felt spotless, and we had no worries about odors or temperature. There are two BBQ areas—one indoors and one outdoors. The indoor side (with an earthen-floor style space) has a kitchen and a large ventilation duct, plus air conditioning, so smoke doesn’t come into the living area. The Room was extremely clean and beautiful. I expected some bugs or smells with glamping—and heat in summer—but it was surprisingly comfortable. There’s a double-sink vanity, two types of hair dryers (including a Repronizer), and even hair irons provided. In addition to pajamas, they also provide samue loungewear for dinner (for both adults and children), so there’s no need to take home clothes that smell like food. 【Onsen & Sauna】 There is an Onsen connected directly to both indoor and outdoor baths, plus a barrel sauna and an impressive cold plunge pool. Ponchos and hats are also available. The bedroom is separated from the bath/changing area/vanity area, so it works well even for two families traveling together. 【Meals】 The commercial refrigerator was stocked with juices, alcoholic drinks, and ice cream! With stylish camping gear like skillets and mess tins—along with ingredients & recipes—our 10-year-old son enthusiastically cooked for us. The thick Shizuoka beef was so tender you barely needed teeth… even the abalone was truly soft! For breakfast you can choose Japanese or Western style; either way it was delicious and satisfying. All of the staff were very kind. We enjoyed luxury-Hotel-level comfort while still experiencing the freedom that makes glamping special. We’ll definitely be back when the season changes!

I stayed at a newly opened villa that was recommended to me. Although it has only four Rooms, it offers a dining restaurant, pool, sauna, and lounge, so the shared facilities are very well equipped. Even though I hadn’t made a Reservation, I was able to enjoy the sauna and an Agu pork shabu-shabu course at short notice. After dinner, having wine by the pool was the best part, and I could truly relax in the quiet surroundings of nature.

This was my second stay, and I was satisfied again. Last time, I visited during the spring cherry blossom season, but this time I came in the autumn for the fall foliage. The autumn leaves of the cherry trees on the street in front of the Stays were beautiful, but above all, the hospitality of the hostess, the chef, and the staff was excellent. As with the last time, the cuisine at this Property uses local ingredients, and not only is the taste wonderful, but the presentation is also stunning and impressive. I would like to visit in the summer next time.

A very warm family-run accommodation! The host, his wife, and their children were very friendly and approachable, leaving a great impression. Additionally, the bread baked by the wife was exceptional, making for a wonderfully tasteful breakfast. It was such a pleasant accommodation that I would love to stay here again if given the chance. I used it for a trip with him at the beginning of the year. It was a whole building rental, and there was a bath in the room, so we could relax as much as we wanted without worrying about the surroundings. Dinner was a special New Year's menu with fish and meat, and it was very satisfying. Above all, the rice cooked in a personal earthenware pot for breakfast was very delicious, and he was very pleased. Since it was New Year's, we were also given sake as a service on our way back. Thank you for taking care of us this time. It is a property I would definitely like to use again.

We checked in around 9 PM after watching the Tateshina Lake Fireworks Festival. The gracious master warmly welcomed us. Looking at the wall, there was a jazz live poster. It was a pity that we missed a major artist's live performance by just one day. It's wonderful to have such a big band come to a pension, which is quite charming given the location. We used a room for four people with just the two of us, so it was very spacious. The beds were two single-sized ones, very comfortable with excellent cushioning and performance. The bath was a unit bath like in a regular household, with water replaced for each user, and there were two of them. There was plenty of hot water, which was nice. The toilet was shared, but it had a washlet, so there was no inconvenience. For example, there was no trash can or tissue in the room, but there were high-quality paper towels in the washroom. There was also a free lounge with a refrigerator, microwave, and various tableware that could be used freely, making it a very convenient system once you got used to it. It was a cold night with temperatures dropping below 10°C, but the room heater quietly and comfortably warmed the space. Breakfast was served by the owner couple on a single plate, but the salad with plenty of local vegetables was very fresh and delicious. The bread was all-you-can-eat, so those who want to eat a lot are welcome. Considering the price, I think it's a property with excellent cost performance. Next time, I would love to stay for the live performance. I wish the owner couple continued health and success.

A quiet accommodation in Higashiyoshino Village. The very spacious Japanese garden is well-maintained. You can only hear the sound of cicadas. The accommodation is a historic building with a grand structure. Facilities such as water systems have been renovated for a comfortable stay. For dinner, we enjoyed shabu-shabu made with branded pork, which was tender and delicious without any scum forming. The private hinoki cypress bath allowed us to relax at our own pace.

I felt completely relaxed. I’d love to come again as soon as next week. Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you in the future.

We stayed in a river-view room. The soothing sound of the flowing water enhanced the sense of relaxation. The large public bath also has both a shallow rock bath and a deep rock bath, and the changing area was clean and pleasant. The lobby has a nostalgic atmosphere like a single inn in rural Japan. I hope it stays just as it is—without becoming overly stylish—and preserves that hometown feel. Our main purpose this time was stargazing, and the night sky was simply breathtaking—an overwhelming spectacle. This is truly an Accommodation for star viewing. The riverside charcoal-grilled meal featured live amago trout, which was an experience we don’t usually get to have. The portions were huge—I was completely full. The bed linens were soft with just the right firmness, and I slept very well.

We stayed here during Obon on August 15 with three generations—eight of us in total, including my daughter and three grandchildren aged 4, 3, and 1. The Accommodation had plenty of toys and books for the children, and they had a great time playing. The owner also gave them a rhinoceros beetle as a gift, which made them very happy. For meals, we rented BBQ equipment for 2,000 yen and enjoyed a barbecue. We thought we would need to start the fire ourselves, but the charcoal was already lit, so we could enjoy the BBQ with ease. The kids kept saying they wanted to stay here forever, so we’d love to come back if we have the chance!

Haisai~~~ So, when it comes to Okinawa, it's all about the islands^^. This time, I stayed at a property on the popular Kouri Island, hoping for beautiful stars. However, it was unfortunately cloudy and unusually cold for Okinawa... haha. Now, about the property: it is a renovated traditional house with three rooms. Since there was availability this time, the hostess assigned me a spacious room. There were four beds and even a kitchen; it's like a home^^. However, the bathroom was a unit bath... as expected in Okinawa. But it was clean and well-maintained, which increased my impression of the place. Also, the hostess shared various stories with me; she was from Yokohama. I decided that next time I will stay here again when it's clear weather—a nice property indeed.

We visited with a group of 7 for a motorcycle touring trip. Upon arrival, the hostess quickly came out to guide us to the parking area, showing thoughtful consideration for the noise. She promptly guided us to our room and provided a brief explanation of the facilities, allowing us to relax in no time. The bath has three shower stations, but as long as everyone doesn't go at once, it’s not inconvenient. It was available 24 hours, so we could enjoy it multiple times—after arrival, before bed, and in the morning—which was great. The highlight was dinner: an array of freshly prepared fish dishes including sashimi, simmered fish, grilled fish, and fried fish that paired perfectly with beer and sake! The finishing touch of tsumire soup was exceptional. However, two members in their 40s-50s couldn’t finish their portions—a rare occurrence—and we apologize to the hostess for this mishap! After dinner, we used the refrigerator in the hallway and enjoyed drinks in our room with plenty of ice provided. Overindulging led us straight to bed until breakfast greeted us—a satisfying lineup of side dishes accompanied by delicious rice that had everyone going back for seconds! Despite some areas still requiring repairs from earthquake damage (e.g., walls), we appreciated how well-maintained and clean everything was throughout the accommodation. Overall feedback from all members is that this is an excellent accommodation with high satisfaction levels. We look forward to visiting again when your sushi plan resumes!

Upon entering the Room, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, so lovely!" The tatami edge patterns were adorable, and thoughtful touches could be felt throughout. The meals were especially satisfying with generous portions and absolutely delicious flavors. The private family bath was fantastic with its silky smooth water, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. After enjoying breakfast and returning to the Room, I was delighted to find the futon neatly folded. The cheerful and adorable children added a warm and homely touch. Thank you very much!

The staff were exceptionally kind, and everything was perfect. The Room was clean and spacious, the pool was stylish and almost like having it all to ourselves. Having a washing machine was very convenient, and being able to walk to the beach, come back for a shower, and head straight to the pool was fantastic. It was truly helpful for families with small children. We will definitely stay here again next time!

I was worried about bears, but the manager explained that because Suganuma Campground is at a high elevation and too cold, acorns and other bear food do not grow there. As a result, it cannot become a feeding area for bears, so they generally do not come to the campground or its surroundings since there is nothing for them to eat. Hearing that reassured me and I was able to stay with peace of mind.
