The East China Sea view from the infinity pool, the 180-degree panoramic scenery, carefully selected furniture, tableware, and glasses—all were exceptional. The sunset visible from the jet bath was breathtaking. Amenities and complimentary food stocks were abundant, and the alcohol selection was satisfying (prices were very reasonable). As an elderly couple, we preferred pork shabu-shabu over barbecue. Despite our unusual request for a pot, it was kindly prepared for us. When my wife requested a rotating hair dryer, they even bought a new one just for her—truly outstanding service! For the pork shabu-shabu, we sourced Agu pork from Kinjo Meat in Motobu Town—it was delicious. We enjoyed Agu pork with fine drinks by the ethanol fireplace for a delightful evening. However, since the room is spacious, heating wasn’t very effective and it felt slightly cold at times. Additionally, as the kitchen is small, it’s not ideal for extensive cooking—something to keep in mind. Despite these minor drawbacks though, this accommodation left such a positive impression that they hardly mattered! We’ll definitely return during warmer weather! P.S.: The road leading from the main highway to this accommodation is narrow and uneven. If renting a car during your stay here, we recommend opting for a compact SUV!

This was a two-story, whole-building rental Facility renovated from a traditional storehouse. While it retained its old-world charm, everything was very clean overall. The bathroom and other water areas were modern and comfortable, and even though it was February, it never felt cold at all. The handmade furniture and the provided folk-craft tableware were all thoughtfully chosen and truly lovely. Some items were available for purchase, but unfortunately the wine glasses I especially liked weren’t for sale—I’m still looking for something similar. The location was easy to access, the staff were kind, and it was an excellent Facility that exceeded expectations. The breakfast bread and fruit were delicious as well, making for a very comfortable stay.

We stayed here as a family in summer. It’s about 1–1.5 hours by car to sightseeing spots such as central Hiroshima and Miyajima, so I wouldn’t say it’s very convenient, but the property sits on a small hill overlooking peaceful farmland. There’s lots of greenery around, the stars are easy to see at night, and we were able to relax away from the crowds in a comfortable setting. We visited in midsummer, but it was cool, and even with a campfire at night it didn’t feel hot, so it’s also great as a summer retreat. The BBQ set was an optional add-on and felt a bit pricey, which was disappointing, but the equipment was well stocked and easy to use even for beginners. The bath wasn’t an Onsen, but it was clean. There seems to be a sauna as well, but since it was optional we didn’t use it. I think ratings would be even higher if the sauna were included in the standard Plan. It was self check-in so we didn’t interact with staff directly, but the Facility was clean and well supplied with amenities, and we could really feel the thoughtful attention to detail. We’d like to stay again when visiting Hiroshima.

This time, we stayed as a group of four, including my parents. The location was very quiet, with the Room right in front of Lake Biwa—an absolutely stunning view. The amenities were well-prepared, and the pajamas were fluffy and very comfortable to wear. However, the bathtub didn’t fill up much no matter how many times we tried, and for some reason, the water was lukewarm. We set it to 47 degrees and added hot water from the faucet. Still, the view from the bath was amazing, and we could relax while soaking in it. We look forward to staying here again.

Our family of four stayed here in summer. This villa stands alone in the middle of a meadow, offering breathtaking views. The interior design and kitchenware were tasteful, and the meal kit we ordered was exceptionally delicious. There is literally nothing around the villa except nature, and we feel there are few Accommodations that can offer an experience like this. It was wonderfully quiet, and we enjoyed a luxurious time. We would love to visit again in winter.

We stayed as a group of five, and the service was polite and accommodating, even allowing us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. The wooden interior had a lovely scent and created a wonderful atmosphere. Amenities like the cassette player, projector, and speakers were also excellent. Since we visited in summer and bought fireworks, they kindly provided us with a bucket and candles as well. We would love to stay here again on our next visit!

We stayed for two nights with three generations of our family on our first trip to Ishigaki Island. As a welcome service, they had prepared sliced peach pineapple in the refrigerator—it was incredibly sweet and delicious! The Room was very spacious, and it was also thoroughly cleaned and impressively spotless. Everywhere we looked was clean, so we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you very much. If we have the chance to visit Ishigaki Island again, we will definitely want to stay here!

It was a fully contactless stay—more like an Airbnb system than a Hotel—and it was very comfortable. Spacious, clean, and no need to see anyone. Including the Facility and amenities, I even felt there may not be another Accommodation this well suited for families with children. Thank you very much.

We spent New Year's with our family while enjoying the snowy scenery. Although there was less snowfall, the children had a great time building snowmen and climbing the treehouse. The meals were delightful, thanks to the very kind guidance from the concierge beforehand. We purchased local ingredients from Hida Takayama at a supermarket along the way and enjoyed sukiyaki with Hida beef, cheese, butter, and other dairy products. The kitchen utensils and seasonings were well-stocked, so all we needed to do was buy ingredients. Highly recommended for those who love cooking! Despite it being a season when outdoor baths are usually unavailable due to low temperatures, one was kindly prepared for us. The caretaker also provided very friendly assistance throughout our stay. It was a memorable year-end getaway where we could enjoy quality family time in a snowy wonderland away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again—highly recommended! Thank you very much!

We stayed at the Ryokan during summer vacation. The interior was very beautiful, and everything was clean. The bath had a lovely fragrance and was very relaxing. The staff were kind and took great care of us. We definitely want to visit again! Thank you so much!

We stayed as a family. Surrounded by nature and free of unnecessary distractions, we were able to forget everyday life and truly relax. There is a walking path around Lake Shirakaba, so in the morning we enjoyed a stroll with our child while taking in the lake views. It’s recommended for those who want to take it easy without overpacking their schedule.

It was our first visit, and it turned into an even better weekend than we expected. After making the Reservation, we were happy to receive an email with recommendations for stylish spots nearby. It saved us the trouble of researching on our own and gave us peace of mind. They also share what to bring and other helpful details, so checking your email is a must. We had lunch at a galette restaurant on the way from the station to the Accommodation, then did some shopping and, after check-in, spent the whole time at the Accommodation. Check-in seems to be controlled by an automatic lock system, so you can’t enter until check-in time. (We arrived about 15 minutes early, so we waited in the car for a bit before checking in.) Sauna → taking our time cooking dinner → staying up late with wine. The next morning: sauna right after waking up, brunch, and coffee. We relaxed as if we were at home while enjoying a truly luxurious stay. The sauna was spacious and got properly hot, and the cold plunge was icy—incredible. (It snowed that day, so I think it may have been close to single digits in °C...) In the Room there were high-quality seasonings and natural wines available for an additional fee. We had no trouble cooking meals there, but if you want to make more elaborate dishes using lots of spices or herbs, bringing those along would make it perfect. Lastly, winter driving conditions made us a little nervous. There was snow buildup and black ice on the road in front of the Accommodation, so please be careful as it can be slippery. In winter, studless tires are a must—and having chains would give extra peace of mind. It feels like a place you could enjoy in any season—we’d love to come back in spring, summer, and autumn too!

It was a midsummer stay, but the temperature was perfect even without air conditioning, and we were very comfortable! The space was spacious and luxurious, with an interior that showed great attention to detail—we were extremely satisfied!

I love the scent of wood when you first enter. The Room felt very clean, the towels were fluffy, and I had a comfortable stay. The weather was great, and the forest view from the large window directly in front of the bed, along with the morning sunlight streaming in, felt wonderful.

I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities and services, which exceeded my expectations. We stayed as a group of six, and the space was more than sufficient. The interior had a log cabin style, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Being deep in the mountains, we could enjoy BBQ without worrying much about noise and had a stress-free stay. The owner kindly assisted us with shuttle service, starting the BBQ fire, taking group photos, and more, making us feel very welcomed. I would love to stay here again. Thank you so much!

I stayed at Oito Bettei. Preserving the atmosphere of a historic merchant house, the accommodation has been beautifully renovated with tasteful interiors and well-equipped facilities. Once inside, it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, offering a relaxing stay that felt like living there. The kitchen was fully equipped with stylish tableware and utensils, including two types of coffee beans, allowing us to enjoy freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Although we didn’t cook dinner as there was a delicious Chinese restaurant nearby, we prepared snacks using local black soybeans (just released that day), persimmons, sweet green peppers, muscat grapes purchased during our stroll through the castle town. Paired with wine we brought along, it made for a leisurely evening in a quiet environment without TV—perfect for unwinding from daily life. The provided tableware was also elegant; simply tossing fruits and cheese we brought with olive oil and salt available at the accommodation created an effortlessly chic dish. The facilities were excellent—the bathtub allowed for stretching out comfortably; toilets and sinks were available on both floors; hairdryers were conveniently placed throughout—making preparations stress-free. If I may suggest one improvement: providing amenities such as cleansing products, face wash, or lotion would be appreciated. There are no convenience stores within walking distance and shops close early in the area. It’s advisable to prepare your shopping beforehand. However, this slight inconvenience added to escaping daily busyness and enjoying simple yet extraordinary moments. The staff were incredibly kind and offered various suggestions for how to spend our second day or places to visit nearby—making it an enriching experience overall. Tamba Sasayama is filled with delicious food alongside its serene townscape and warm-hearted people—a truly wonderful place. This is an accommodation I’d love to stay at repeatedly—a perfect base for exploring Tamba Sasayama! Thank you for such a lovely time—I’ll definitely return!

It was my first time staying with Sanu, and I’d love to come back again. As soon as we arrived, the scent of wood greeted us, and the Room was clean and comfortable. We were able to relax with our dog on the raised platform area. Also, because meals weren’t provided, we could visit our favorite bakeries for breakfast, and choose between cooking dinner ourselves or eating out—so it felt like living there while still being able to refresh. It was a shame that the bathroom was small and there wasn’t space to put things in the washroom area, but otherwise we were very satisfied.

In the heart of Higashi Chaya District, this Accommodation lets you stay as if living in a Kanazawa machiya townhouse, and it remains one of the most memorable Hotels I have ever stayed in. As soon as you step inside, the gentle scent of wood fills the air and naturally calms you. While preserving the charm of an old machiya, the interior has been refined into a modern, sophisticated space, and my stay was comfortable from start to finish. The passage garden leading from the entrance to the living room reinterprets a traditional machiya layout as a contemporary art gallery, creating a distinctive atmosphere from the moment you arrive. With part of one living-room wall opened up, it retains that classic machiya serenity while adding just the right sense of openness. On the first floor, warmth from natural wood is balanced beautifully with a palette of brown, white, cream, and black. Everything—from pendant lights to furniture and small details—has been carefully chosen for a cohesive look that shows great taste down to every corner. The table in particular stood out: its texture evoked Noto washi paper and kurikawa-zome (chestnut husk dyeing), and it felt like local culture and craftsmanship were seamlessly woven into the space. The bath and wash area are modern and spotless in crisp black-and-white tones, and even the scent of Aesop hand soap and bath amenities was wonderfully soothing. Upstairs retains even more of the original wooden character of a machiya, offering a different kind of quiet calm. The bedroom lighting—soft like moonlight—was especially memorable and perfectly suited to the mood. Another unique highlight is being able to whisk matcha in your room. The tea kettle, bowls, and other tools are thoughtfully selected; using vessels that reflect Kanazawa- and Noto-area traditional crafts made preparing matcha yourself feel truly special. With clear instructions provided, it’s easy to enjoy even for first-timers. Unlike having tea at a tourist spot, making matcha in this quiet machiya setting felt deeply relaxing. Open the windows and you can sense both the stillness of this teahouse district and hints of local daily life beyond it. Rather than simply visiting as a tourist, being able to blend into the neighborhood is an experience that’s hard to find at an ordinary Hotel. Breakfast was at Miso Soup Club just a short walk away; I enjoyed a nourishing Japanese breakfast with hearty miso soup packed with ingredients along with egg over rice (tamago kake gohan) and small side dishes. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to savor Kanazawa’s culture, craftsmanship—and unhurried quiet time—with care.
