We chose this place because it was all-inclusive, and both the baths and the service were excellent. In particular, as someone in the same industry, I was truly impressed by the attentiveness and consideration shown by the Nepalese staff in the dining area. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time. Unlimited drinks from check-in to check-out was more than I could ask for as a beer lover—I enjoyed plenty. The open-air bath wasn’t too hot and felt great! We’d love to come back again! Thank you very much!

Enjoy glamping in a dome tent, and the Facility also features an extra-large kids’ play area. It kept the kids happily worn out all day, so we could relax and enjoy some quiet time together in the evening—an excellent place overall. The meals were quite tasty as well, with a nice mix of Japanese and Western options to enjoy. In the evening, they even offered complimentary handheld fireworks—truly thoughtful service. We stayed for two nights this time; one night would feel rushed, so we recommend two nights as just right.

My second stay, following last winter. Last time I came by car. After sightseeing at Owakudani and other spots, I followed the navigation system and didn’t really know where it was, but this time I used the mountain railway and was surprised to find it was very close to Sounzan Station. Even on the walk from the station, I felt welcomed by a pleasant breeze and birdsong, and arrived at the Accommodation in great spirits. The attendant who looked after us was the same as last year. Their cheerful manner and excellent timing in serving meals were unchanged. The Room and shared areas were just as spotless as before—not a speck of dust—making everything feel wonderfully refreshing. The open-air bath assigned to each Room is located a short distance away, and ours was excellent again this time. With cuckoos calling more beautifully around this season, I could truly relax in both sound and hot water. The meals were delicious as before: a soup with pike conger eel (hamo) and junsai; seasonal ingredients like Manganji peppers with superb seasoning; gourd “kaminari-boshi,” which I hadn’t tasted in ages; plus breakfast highlights such as the vegetable salad and dressing, perfectly grilled salted salmon (both seasoning and doneness), and fresh yuba served at just the right moment. An Accommodation I’d love to return to for its hospitality.

The staff were wonderful, the food was delicious, the twin Room was spacious, there was a large public bath, and Shuttle Service was available. From the moment I saw photos of this Hotel, I somehow knew I wanted to stay here. Everything is spotless down to the smallest details, and you can truly feel their thoughtful hospitality. It’s close to the Great Torii Gate, making it convenient for an evening or early-morning stroll. After checking out this time, when I went back to pick up my luggage, I ended up resting in the lobby for over two hours due to mild heat exhaustion. I’m sincerely grateful for how kindly and attentively the staff took care of me. I’m planning to stay again in November.

We stayed here while touring the Kotō Sanzan temples. The top-floor Japanese-Western style room was spacious and had a great view. Both breakfast and dinner used local ingredients, and we were satisfied with both the quality and quantity. The sukiyaki beef was especially delicious. We used the large public bath after day-use hours ended, and it was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were kind as well. The area around the Hotel is also well maintained. We will stay here again when we visit Kotō. Thank you for your hospitality.

In September, I visited with my two dogs while on a trip to see my child living in Hiroshima. I already knew from the website that it was a wonderful accommodation, but it truly exceeded my expectations. The room, meals, service, and staff were all excellent. Since it's located in the mountains, there were many insects at the dog run due to the season, but plenty of countermeasure items were provided. I've stayed at several all-inclusive accommodations before, but this place had an impressive variety of drinks and even lots of nostalgic snacks—it was very satisfying. This time we arrived by bullet train and taxi; however, on our way back we were kindly dropped off at a nearby station which made it easy to visit Miyajima. There are also large rooms available for three generations to stay together—I’d love to come back again when I have grandchildren!

I woke up around 3:00 a.m. and, lying down while looking at Kinko Bay and the crystal-clear starry sky, I saw shooting stars one after another—more than a dozen. It was the first time in my life I had ever seen so many. The walk to the Hotel, the atmosphere in the lobby, and the pool’s blue lighting all felt like being somewhere outside Japan. Since we stayed as a family of three, it became a wonderful memory and we were able to truly relax. Thank you very much.

I stayed here with the Zao Snow Monsters package in Shiroishi-Zao. The hot spring was excellent and very refreshing. The meals were very generous, and I ended up leaving a lot. I would like an option with smaller portions.

The rooms, terrace, and BBQ area were all very clean, and it was a wonderful Accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail. The grill we reserved in advance was perfectly prepared, and there was a great selection of insect repellent items, dog supplies, indoor games, and welcome drinks—our whole family was more than satisfied. We would love to stay again! Thank you so much!!!

We stayed in the dome during midsummer in the Kanto region in July. The temperature was about 5–6°C cooler, and the dome was fully equipped with air conditioning, so we were able to stay very comfortably. We could also watch app videos on the projector, and some Plans allow pets. It was amazing.

I love the calm atmosphere of Tateshina Tokyu Hotel and have stayed here several times. Its setting in the forest, the dignified yet unpretentious interiors, and the quiet time you can spend here offer a charm that is hard to find at other hotels. This time was no different, and it reminded me again how much I like this hotel. Also, though it’s a small thing, I really like the toothbrushes in the guest rooms. They’re comfortable to use, and I can feel the hotel’s thoughtfulness even in these details. I hope you will continue with the current ones. On the other hand, precisely because I’ve been coming for many years, there are a few things that disappointed me. The biggest one is that Japanese dinner has been discontinued since this year. On a Multiple Night Stay, we used to enjoy being able to choose “Western tonight, Japanese tomorrow” within the hotel itself. Especially for us—who prefer not to drive once we arrive and instead relax in the forest or inside—the option was very important. French cuisine certainly has its appeal, but having Western meals both nights makes it feel like a slightly different hotel than before. I would be happy if Japanese dinner becomes an option again someday. I was also sorry to hear that the garden pool, long loved by guests, has ended operations starting this year. I understand it was due to aging facilities (Facility), but combined with the end of Japanese dinner options (Facility), it feels as though some of what made Tateshina Tokyu special is gradually disappearing. One more thing I would love to see enhanced is the in-house library collection (Facility). This is such a quiet Hotel where you can relax while looking out at the forest—perfect for reading. The current selection feels lacking not so much in quantity as in curation quality. If there were more books that you’d want to pick up specifically because you came to Tateshina—on Shinshu’s nature and culture, mountains, architecture, travel writing, literature—it would make time spent at this Hotel even richer. I’m not asking for new facilities or services one after another. Rather, I hope you will continue cherishing and preserving what makes this Hotel unique. These comments come from someone who truly likes this Hotel—and I hope to keep visiting for many years to come.

Koshika Onsen is wonderfully relaxing with its free-flowing natural hot spring water, and the aroma at the front desk is also lovely. This was my second stay, and I’m truly very satisfied! I was told the aroma is from Tomisako Shoten, so I even placed a personal order. The Room has its own Onsen, so I could enjoy it at night and in the morning and feel refreshed. The Facility is also kept very clean!

We have four dogs, including a Golden Retriever and a Mameshiba, so we always stay in a villa with a private dog run. However, every time we’ve felt that something was always just slightly inconvenient—but RETONA was perfect. Since there’s a splash pond in the dog run, we thought we should bring towels, but there were towels right at the entrance, along with a water tank for dogs and bowls. We also received one complimentary drink per person from the vending machine at the dog-run entrance!! Thanks to that, our dogs were able to run around the spacious dog run to their hearts’ content and slept soundly at night. For dinner, since our dogs are always with us as usual, we assumed the food would end up getting cold—but each dish was served at just the right time: hot items while still hot and cold items while still cold. Everything was delicious—the soup and even the mango vegetable juice—and the appetizers were presented like an afternoon tea set: not only tasty but also beautifully arranged. Whenever we met any staff member, they greeted us with wonderful smiles, and they even helped carry our luggage upon arrival—which was truly helpful for our multi-dog household. The bath in our Room was very spacious as well, everything was spotless throughout, and above all we didn’t feel any drawbacks or inconvenience at all. We travel at least five or six times a year, and during long holidays we often stay about four nights. We would absolutely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We could choose our meals, and we were very satisfied with the seafood shabu-shabu we had hoped for at dinner. The Japanese breakfast also came with plenty of sides to go with rice, and I ended up having a second helping. We also enjoyed the somen before dinner, ice cream and coffee milk after the bath, late-night soba (ramen), and the free drinks at the front desk. The Room was spacious and even had a massage chair, so we could truly relax. It was a shame the weather wasn’t great, but if it had been clear, we probably could have seen a beautiful starry sky from the terrace—I'd love to visit again if I get the chance.

I stayed here to celebrate a friend’s 70th birthday. The Facility is old, but well maintained, and I had a very comfortable stay. Dinner in particular was excellent—the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere (the live piano performance was wonderful), and both the wine and the food were delicious. They also prepared a celebratory dessert plate, and at breakfast they made a special drink along with congratulatory words. It was a wonderful celebration trip. Thank you very much.

I love British antique furniture, so this is a pension I’d been curious about for a long time. The three of us stayed as a family. The furniture, tableware, and paintings—said to have been collected by the previous owner—were all just as I expected: tasteful and wonderful. Definitely worth seeing. I gave it 4 stars because the Facility is a bit old and the soundproofing isn’t great, but everything is very clean, the owner couple are lovely, breakfast was truly delicious, and both the bedding and bath were comfortable. The parking lot is spacious and it’s close to the Tomei interchange as well… for this price, it’s an excellent value. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

It was a one-night stay. The staff were very kind and made us feel at home, making it an enjoyable stay for both my husband and our beloved dog. Despite our late check-in and delay for dinner due to our circumstances, they were very accommodating. Thank you very much. The food was also very delicious. If we have the opportunity, we would love to stay again. Next time, we will definitely check in on time, so please look forward to it (laugh).

We stayed as a family for our daughter’s birthday and had a wonderful time. We love campfires, so we were very happy that plenty of firewood was prepared. While adding logs to keep the fire going, we were able to relax and enjoy watching the flames. The dog run was spacious, and our dogs looked like they were having a great time. Since it’s on slightly higher ground and there are kites around, you can’t take your eyes off them. Because it was cold, we couldn’t stay outside for long. There is a dog-only Room connected to the living room, and it was spacious enough even for large dogs. We were a little disappointed that the bedroom is upstairs, away from the dogs. Considering hygiene, though, it’s understandable. It was difficult to set the bath temperature. The dining table has a built-in hot plate, which is a big plus because you can eat grilled food while it’s still warm. I’m not usually a fan of saunas, but I really enjoyed this one. It’s great that there is a tub outside the sauna where you can fill water or hot water. Since we visited during very cold weather with below-freezing temperatures, we didn’t use the cold plunge. Everything was very clean, and the grounds were well maintained with thorough cleaning and pruning throughout. We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

My spouse and I stayed here from August 8 to 10. Since it was during summer vacation, there were various events. What we especially appreciated was the life jacket rental (cheaper than renting at the beach) and the stargazing. The stargazing was easy to join with no Reservation required and free entry/exit. There was also a guide who explained what we were seeing, so we could identify Scorpius, the Milky Way, Cassiopeia, and more under a sky full of stars—it was truly moving. All of the staff were not only kind but also friendly and easy to talk to, and chatting with them was a lot of fun. It’s an Accommodation that made us want to come back!

It was cool, and there were both a lukewarm free-flowing Onsen (the source is around 38°C) and a slightly heated bath, which made it perfect for a summer getaway. The meals were also delicious, with just the right portions. In particular, the tea and the aroma of freshly grated wasabi were wonderful—honestly, just rice with wasabi and ochazuke might be the best. It felt like a real treat. Maybe everything tastes better because the water is so pure. Since I went into the Onsen several times, I wished there were extra towels available, and I personally noticed a slight odor on the pillow, so I’m deducting one star—but my companion didn’t mind at all and was very satisfied with the spacious Room. Personally, I think a slightly smaller Room here would have been fine too, even with meals in a shared dining hall (it’s easier on the budget, and somehow that feels more in keeping with this Accommodation’s atmosphere). The view is beautiful, and it seems like you could enjoy the scenery right in front of you in any season.
