This is what a great Accommodation should be. It met my expectations—and exceeded them. From the complimentary herb water made with herbs from the garden to the various cordial syrups and even a sake bath, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The olive kaiseki dinner left a strong impression of Shodoshima. I truly hope to return.

I had a Multiple Night Stay, and to be honest, it exceeded my expectations. Although I couldn't see Mount Fuji from the Room I stayed in, I enjoyed a blissful time on the beautiful garden terrace where the day seemed to pass by in an instant. The medicinal stone bath was incredibly relaxing; after just one soak, my body felt thoroughly warmed to the core. By the second time, I even started looking forward to the bath preparation process itself. The Room was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. During my stay, housekeeping cleaned while I was out for the day during my Multiple Night Stay. Returning to such a spotless Room felt like coming back to a brand-new space—it was truly impressive! The staff were kind and greeted me warmly every time we crossed paths, making my stay all the more pleasant. When visiting Lake Kawaguchi again, I will definitely return to Hana no Yado Yumefuji! We stayed one night at another Accommodation to get our “cat fix,” then booked a second night here as a couple after seeing reviews saying the food was delicious and you can meet adorable cats. The exterior is incredibly charming. We were able to use the “Now’s the Time for Ito!” campaign, so we got a great deal. We chose a Room with an ocean view, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, so we’d love to come back and try again. The baths are private and require a Reservation after check-in. In addition to an indoor bath, there is a semi-open-air bath with a small garden; it has a roof and walls so you can’t see the outside scenery. It’s genuine Onsen water, and since it was mosquito season, they even had an adorable cat-themed mosquito coil burning. Because we were leaving early the next morning, we chose a Plan with dinner only—but the meal was so surprisingly delicious it felt like something from a starred restaurant, and we regretted not adding breakfast. The sashimi was fresh, and each dish was carefully handmade—many unlike anything we’d had before. Everything was excellent: spring rolls, small side dishes, simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), white rice, and more. The hamburger steak served toward the end wasn’t greasy or heavy, and the portion size was just right. Dessert also offered variety—fruit, cake, and ice cream. The cookies in the Room (and even the souvenir cookies) were delicious too. This is an Accommodation worth visiting just for the food alone. We’ve stayed at many Hotels and Ryokans around Japan, but my wife and I still talk about how amazed we were by how good the料理 here was. After dinner there was time to interact with the cats. It’s not really hands-on cuddling time, but the owner let us hold one of them and take photos (the cat looked slightly unimpressed!). The owner and his wife were extremely kind, and their hospitality truly came through. At checkout it was raining quite heavily; they lent us an umbrella for walking to our car—and even came out to retrieve it after we got in. We’d love to return.

Over the past few years, this Accommodation has become a place our family wants to visit at least once a year, and both kids and adults are always completely satisfied. This summer vacation we weren’t planning a trip to the Izu area, so we thought a summer stay might not be possible—but when we learned about the summer vacation discount offer, we knew we had to go and made a last-minute Reservation. With prices rising everywhere, we truly appreciate this thoughtful gesture from the Facility. As always, every staff member—from arrival to departure—shows wonderful hospitality that makes for a genuinely relaxing stay. The Facility is also very clean. The summer vacation pop-up stalls were unexpectedly enjoyed more by the adults than the kids; it was fun seeing everyone feel like children again. It was disappointing that we couldn’t play tennis due to construction on the tennis courts, but there were so many enjoyable activities that we barely had enough time. We also love the surrounding satoyama countryside nature, so next time we’d like to stay in spring.

From the Shuttle Service from the parking lot to the attentive hospitality, meals, and everything in between, everything was perfect and made for a truly comfortable stay. While many places in recent years have reduced staff and their service feels lacking, this long-established Ryokan showed us the true essence of thoughtful hospitality—anticipating every need. As long as I am able, I would love to return again on my next opportunity.

The Room was very clean, and we loved the soothing sound of the river and the lush, tree-covered view. Having a private bath was also a great perk. The dining area was a private room as well, so we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in a relaxed setting, though the portions were a bit large for us. After breakfast, we also unexpectedly enjoyed the complimentary coffee service in the lobby. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we were able to unwind and take our time.

I had wanted, at least once, to step into “Salon Yamasato,” the private lobby lounge of Koshinosato—I've felt that way for the past 10 years. As we reached our 60th birthdays as a couple, we decided to make a Reservation and treat ourselves at this milestone. We truly loved the cuisine, amenities, and atmosphere. I was deeply impressed by the high-quality meals—it was an Accommodation with impeccable hospitality in every way. Also, the macarons and gelato at Kaho’s salon were absolutely top-class delicious—I couldn’t stop eating them. The flavor stayed with me, and I kept wondering what brand they were. It made me strongly want to come back again. Thank you very much. The concierge staff were also incredibly kind—simply wonderful.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. My spouse and I were able to enjoy the private family bath together many times, and it became a wonderful memory for us. We are truly grateful to everyone at the Accommodation for your warm and dedicated service. We were very concerned to hear about the major earthquake that occurred shortly afterward. We will continue to support you, and we hope to visit again.

All the staff had wonderful smiles, the art-filled space was relaxing, and the food was excellent—our child was smiling the whole time. We thought it would be even better if children could stay together in a wider variety of Rooms. It became a great summer memory.

Our first time in Noto. Every year, we stay at various seaside places on family trips, and this time we were able to spend a truly memorable moment. You kindly checked in with us about the view affected by the earthquake, but we felt that was part of our connection as well, and we want to cherish it. Everyone on Notojima was so warm, and it was clear how deeply they care for Noto—it really came through to us. The hospitality here is the best we have experienced among all the Accommodations we have stayed at. The sushi dinner featured mostly local ingredients from Noto and the surrounding area. Everything was so fresh—full of items we don’t usually get to eat—and we were genuinely impressed. The staff’s every gesture was pleasant, making our stay very comfortable. For breakfast, we enjoyed a delicious meal while looking out at the sea and feeling time pass slowly. I believe their commitment to local ingredients and caring for what matters is what makes it taste so good. It’s not an easy place for us to revisit due to the distance, but this is a truly wonderful Accommodation that makes us want to return in another season.

The Room, the meals, and the rural scenery... everything was wonderful! Even travel guidance was provided, and the services were excellent, which made our trip truly enjoyable. Everything about the service was outstanding! The complimentary items in the refrigerator were amazing too, and we didn’t have a single problem during our stay!

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s first birthday. It was our first family trip with the puppy we had just welcomed home, and we had many worries, but thanks to the kindness of the staff and the well-stocked amenities, we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. And above all, the meals were delicious!! We had both breakfast and dinner, and both left us completely satisfied—full in body and heart. The Onsen in the large public bath was wonderful as well. The open-air bath in our Room is not an Onsen, but it was spacious and relaxing. Our family has already been saying how we want to come back again soon.

Thank you for taking care of us on the final day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Nikko. Away from the lively area around Toshogu Shrine, we were able to savor Nikko deeply and quietly. From arrival to departure, every member of the Accommodation spoke to us warmly with a smile, and we spent our time feeling truly relaxed. The amenities in the Room and the drink service were also thoughtfully prepared down to the smallest details, and we did not feel inconvenienced in any way. The meals and Onsen we had been looking forward to most were absolutely wonderful, making these two days a truly happy time. Nikko’s water is excellent, and the coffee brewed with it was especially delicious—I even bought some beans on my way home. I’d like to brew coffee once more with the water you kindly gave us and reminisce about our trip to Nikko. I am also grateful for your courteous phone call when I carelessly left something behind in the Room, and for sending it promptly. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Our family of three stayed for 3 nights. Above all, the location—right in front of the ocean—was incredible. It’s set along the coastline that continues from Toguchi Beach, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to Toguchi Beach. It’s also less than a 10-minute drive from Irabu Ohashi Bridge, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. The daytime sea was beautiful, and the starry sky at night was just as amazing. On a morning after rain, we were even treated to the stunning sight of a huge rainbow over the ocean. The time we spent looking out at the sea and rainbow beyond the pool is especially unforgettable. In front of the villa there is also an area that feels like a small private beach. This time we gave up going into the sea due to an approaching tropical depression, but you can borrow pool items, sand-play toys, and life jackets as well. We were told that around typhoons, waves can wash away some of the sand and reduce the beach area. The pool is also just the right size for families to enjoy together. And what we especially loved was the BBQ. We bought our own ingredients and enjoyed lighting charcoal for the first time in a while. Having drinks while BBQing with the ocean right in front of us was unbeatable. The kitchen is stocked with most cooking utensils and basic seasonings, so self-catering is easy. There’s also a water dispenser, complimentary drinks in the refrigerator, plus a washer-dryer and detergent—very convenient for a Multiple Night Stay. Trash can be separated and left by the entrance in the morning for collection. We also appreciated being able to sleep comfortably on proper beds rather than an extra bed even with three people. There are four beds in total, so we were able to recover well from travel fatigue. The staff were very kind as well. This isn’t suited to those looking for full service like a luxury Hotel with staff on-site 24 hours a day, but during staffed hours they responded quickly whenever we needed something. On our last day they even came outside to see us off despite strong winds and heavy rain—we’re very grateful. Since it’s summer there are naturally some insects around, but insect spray and repellents are provided; we recommend setting them up soon after arrival. Geckos are part of island life too (in good humor). Perhaps because priority is given to views, there isn’t much eave overhang; during heavy rain we noticed some noise from raindrops hitting windows. That said, this means truly spectacular views from inside—the window soundproofing is excellent and normally you can barely hear waves indoors at all. If anything could be improved, having mats at both entrances (the front door and terrace) to brush off sand would be even more convenient. This is a villa where you can stay “as if living,” at your own pace. Our whole family was completely satisfied—it was an amazing 3-night/4-day stay!

With its expansive grounds, tranquil atmosphere, seemingly oversized guest rooms, and dedicated attendants, this is a top-tier Japanese-style Ryokan. While it did feel a bit dated in places—such as not having enough power outlets by the bed—we were very satisfied with our stay. It was disappointing that the private family bath (Nishi-no-Yu) was closed due to reduced hot spring water volume depending on the season.

Located about an hour from Shinjuku and easy to reach, yet once you step inside, a beautiful, nature-filled garden unfolds and makes you forget everyday life in an instant. The Room was also wonderful—said to be a favorite of Hayao Miyazaki—with thoughtful details throughout, from the view from the round in-room bath to the uniquely textured corridors, creating a truly charming atmosphere. From arrival to departure, the staff’s warm hospitality and attentive care made our family feel completely at ease, allowing us to spend a very comfortable and happy time.

Due to a change of plans, I made a Reservation the day before. It was a rainy day and I arrived early, but I was able to choose a book from the many available and enjoy reading at a relaxed pace with a cup of coffee in hand. The spacious bath, especially the bubble bath, was very soothing. The meals were so plentiful that I couldn’t finish everything. The sunrise the next morning was beautiful. There were also goats and rabbits, and if it were closer, it’s a place where I’d love to bring my dog for a Multiple Night Stay.

I stayed here on my birthday last year and had a wonderful time, so this time I stayed for two nights to celebrate my friend’s birthday as well. The meals, the baths, and the hospitality were all excellent—I was completely satisfied! I’m also grateful to the staff member who took care of us. Thank you for bringing the cake to our Room after dinner. I was also happy to receive the flower gift from the Accommodation. We could see the ocean from our Room, and it almost felt like a waste to go out. It’s quite far from Yokohama, but I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you as well for the Diamond Member benefits. We went fishing, but perhaps as a safety precaution, the barbs on the hooks were too small and we couldn’t keep bait on them. Since I usually enjoy fishing, it was disappointing, but next time I’d like to bring my own hooks and bait.

Considering the price, everything was acceptable. However, this isn’t the Hotel’s fault, but by 5 p.m. almost everything in the tourist area—including restaurants—was closed. The downside was that once it got dark, there was little choice but to spend time in the Room. I suppose there must be some kind of agreement among the local merchants.
