This was our third stay. Everything was outstanding! Not only the meals, but every wine you recommended was delicious. Even though I don’t usually drink, I was so happy to enjoy so many wonderful wines on this trip. Because of the typhoon, we couldn’t come on our preferred dates and had to reschedule, but you handled it very smoothly and we truly appreciate it. All of the staff were genuinely kind and were also very considerate to our child. KuuRa Beach was also beautiful and lovely. We look forward to staying with you again.

The floors throughout the Ryokan were comfortable to walk on barefoot, making it feel like home. I completely understood why rolling suitcases are not allowed. I could really appreciate the owner’s attention to detail, and I thought it was wonderful. The location was excellent, and the meals were delicious.

We stayed with three family members and one dog. The Room was very clean, the private open-air bath was relaxing, and the meals were generous. If we have the chance, we would love to stay again.

My husband and I stayed here on the middle day of a three-day holiday weekend. The first-floor corner Room “Kanade” was wonderful, with views of both the sea and the mountains, and we were very satisfied. The view from the in-room bath was also amazing. In addition to a ReFa showerhead, there was even a hair dryer and hair iron provided—thoughtful touches that many women will appreciate. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and dinner at our own private dining room at a relaxed pace. The bedroom’s calm color scheme and comfortable bedding helped us fully recover from travel fatigue. It was a lovely Accommodation that made us want to return as a couple.

I am an Onsen enthusiast who stays over 80 nights a year, mainly in Izu. I have stayed at Kameya Keian more than 30 nights in the past, and this year I stayed for 4 nights. The cuisine was artistic in presentation, and the flavor—especially the richness of the dashi—was something no other Hotel or Ryokan can match; it was absolutely outstanding. The Onsen water quality is excellent, as expected of the historic Izunagaoka Onsen, making this a top-rated Onsen Ryokan. I will visit again.

We arrived in heavy rain and were feeling pretty discouraged, but this Hotel was so wonderful even in the rain that we were truly glad we chose it. On the second day, the weather cleared beautifully, and the Pacific Ocean stretching out right in front of our Room was breathtaking. The meals made great use of local ingredients, and every dish had its own charm. Thanks to dinner and breakfast being offered in time slots we could choose from, we were able to relax and take our time while enjoying the ocean view. After breakfast, we stepped out from the restaurant into the garden and came across many rare tropical plants—banana trees with blossoms and fruit, pandanus (adan), hibiscus, shell ginger flowers—and even hermit crabs. We also used the two private family baths twice, which completely washed away our travel fatigue. Everyone on the staff—from the restaurant to throughout the Hotel—was very kind, and they shared lots of local tips you won’t find in guidebooks. The Oshima Tsumugi Museum was also outstanding. It felt like we learned a bit about Amami Oshima’s history, making it a truly meaningful experience. Thanks to this trip, we also discovered painter Kazuo Tanaka (Isson) and became big fans. We would definitely love to stay at this Hotel again next time.

I stayed here with my child. The building blends beautifully into a quiet, peaceful town, and its wonderful atmosphere instantly soothed both body and mind after a long day of walking. Both dinner and breakfast were cooked right in front of us, making for an enjoyable, delicious, and truly memorable time. I’m really glad we chose to stay here. Thank you very much.

I was amazed by the relaxed atmosphere of the Ryokan and the many delicious dishes—especially the abundance of fish—along with superb sake. The sunset and evening glow were incredibly beautiful and truly moving.

Even though I don’t swim in the sea, I travel solo year-round in search of gourmet Accommodations near the coast (for the food and scenery). I was delighted to be upgraded to a sea-view Room. It was a Japanese-style Room, but it also had a leather sofa and ottoman, so I could stretch out and relax while gazing at the ocean. When I woke up around 5:00, I was able to watch a beautiful sunrise from the Room. There is a calm inner-sea beach right in front of the Accommodation, and there are showers as well—great for families with small children. The meals were outstanding, featuring an abundance of local specialties. My main goal was Wakasa-guji (tilefish), but it was even more delicious than I imagined—the Wakasa-guji ochazuke was exceptional. And the Matsunaga rice was unbelievably good (probably the best I’ve ever had). I didn’t use the public bath and used the shower in my Room instead, but I loved that the shampoo and conditioner were Hokurokusousui—one of my favorite brands—and it helped me relax. Recently there have been more Accommodations renovated from wooden buildings, but some noise—voices and footsteps—is unavoidable. You can often hear children as well. It’s not exactly quiet. However, more than making up for that, I felt each staff member’s hospitality and way of interacting with guests was wonderful. In particular: the woman with glasses who assisted me at check-in; the woman at breakfast (I’m sorry—I forgot your name); and one of the male staff members who kindly gave me helpful advice for sightseeing in Obama after check-out. Thanks to them, it became more than just an overnight stay—I had a chance to learn even more about Obama, making this trip extremely satisfying. I heard that midwinter is especially good for grouper, pufferfish, and Echizen crab. As transportation access improves from here on out, this will be an Accommodation you’ll want to visit even more. Next time it would be perfect if I could borrow a firmer pillow!! Please make that happen on my next visit!! (I can’t sleep if a pillow doesn’t suit me.) It was our first trip to Okinawa in a while. In the past, we traveled with our children and visited many places, so we didn’t spend much time at the Hotel. Now that we are both in our 60s, we enjoyed a relaxing Multiple Night Stay for two nights. Because it is a remote island a little far from Naha, we could truly feel the authentic, non-touristy Okinawa. Not only was the food wonderful, but being warmly chatted with by the staff was the greatest “reward” of all. We became fans of Kouri Island and One Suite. We would love to visit again.

The staff were incredibly friendly and kind! The Onsen was amazing, but what impressed me most was the hospitality. And the kimbap was unbelievably delicious. On the second day they kindly served inari sushi, but I liked it so much I wanted to eat kimbap two days in a row!! The building is old, but it felt like visiting the countryside, and everything was thoroughly cleaned and spotless.

With easy access from Junglia and wanting to stay on Kouri Island, I made a Reservation here. It was very convenient—less than a 30-minute drive from Junglia! On the way, seeing the view from Kouri Bridge again after a long time really got me excited! When I arrived at the Hotel and headed to the entrance, a staff member came out to greet me and carried my luggage for me. Since I checked in much earlier than planned, I asked if it would be possible to make a dinner Reservation, and they kindly accommodated me (it may have been the last available seat). Just like the Reviews said, the food here was outstanding! For dinner, I ordered beef sirloin steak, hamburger steak, garlic shrimp, and other Okinawan dishes. Every dish was carefully prepared with great seasoning—truly impressive. Breakfast included freshly baked bread, a salad plate, soup, and coffee; both the portion size and taste were completely satisfying. The Room was exactly as shown in the photos—stylish and clean with a white-and-blue theme—and it was very comfortable. Personally, I really appreciated having a vanity separate from the sink area; it was very convenient to use. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Kouri Island next time!

During our trip from the main island to Miyakojima, we stayed here for the entire time on the main island. The Room was spacious and very clean! We were truly touched by the honeymoon towel art and flowers that were prepared for us. The view of the ocean and Kouri Bridge from the Room was breathtaking. My husband was thrilled with the Agu pork shabu-shabu dinner. We also dined at a restaurant in the Hotel group, and it was delicious and stylish as well. Breakfast was delivered to our Room, and even during our Multiple Night Stay, they changed the menu each day—everything was so thoughtful. We had a wonderfully relaxing Hotel stay while enjoying a resort atmosphere, and our time on Kouri Island became an unforgettable memory. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again someday.

We stayed here for a family trip. We were able to relax in the clean Room and Onsen. We could use the beach and pool even before check-in, and it seemed that not only our family but also families with children were enjoying their time. The meals were delicious, and we were especially satisfied with the seafood. We shared the simmered sea bream with our child, but they ended up eating almost all of it. It’s also close to Kamogawa Sea World with convenient access for sightseeing, so we would like to stay here again when traveling around Kamogawa.

About a 15-minute walk from the Toi ferry terminal. A beautiful, charming building along the coast. I stayed in a Room on the 3rd floor of this 7-story property and thoroughly enjoyed in-Room breakfast and dinner, the private scenic bath in the guest Room, and the large public bath. The water was very hot; I used it as is in the public bath, and added water to cool it slightly in the in-Room bath. Even in midsummer heat, I was able to cool off while soaking slowly, spending about two hours in total. The view from the bath overlooks the coast, with mountains, a river, and even the road visible—well balanced—and there is a horizontal sliding window that can be opened to any width you like. Since it is set one step higher than inside the guest Room, you can fully open it not only during meals but also while bathing; if you soak into the deep tub, you can enjoy the scenery even with it wide open. Since we were staying anyway, choosing a meal course with abalone and spiny lobster was absolutely the right decision. Unexpected touches—such as greetings from the young proprietress at dinner and a gift of a houseplant at departure—were also happily received.

Thank you for taking care of us for three days. As a returning guest, I was once again able to relax thanks to the warm hospitality of the proprietress, the young proprietress, and all the staff. The open-air bath in the guest room was truly soothing. Thank you very much. Once things settle down, I would love to visit again.

This was my first visit in about six months. I’m always impressed by your thoughtful hospitality—attentive without being intrusive. You also took our previous stay into consideration and prepared a menu with plenty of variety. We hope to visit again this autumn.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

We were very satisfied with the meals. Everything we had for dinner was delicious. For breakfast, you can grill freshly dried horse mackerel at your table on a tabletop stove. The eggs were cooked on a ceramic hot plate, and we could choose between fried eggs or scrambled eggs to suit our preference. You can also have refills of rice. It was very windy so we only spent about two hours at the beach, but since the large public bath is available even after check-out, you can freshen up before heading home. The facilities were also kept clean and well maintained. For those who smoke, there is a smoking room in the building. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

The Room and baths were spacious, and the amenities were well stocked, making our stay very comfortable. We were able to relax at our leisure with the private open-air bath and the indoor Sakakibara Onsen. Since there was no Wi-Fi in the Room, I rated the Facility 4 stars, but it turned out to be a good opportunity to put our phones away and unwind together as a family. Dinner was plentiful—featuring a boat platter of sea bream, spiny lobster, abalone, and amberjack, as well as wagyu beef grilled on a ceramic plate—and everything was delicious. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation!
