It was outstanding... Everything was impeccable—the attention to detail throughout the Accommodation was wonderful, the staff were warm and welcoming, every dish was delicious, and the Onsen was so amazing I wanted to soak in it again and again. Since we came to enjoy hot spring hopping and relax, having a small TV actually felt like a plus. We truly felt that simply spending time there had value. When we visit Kurokawa Onsen again, we will definitely stay at Fujiya!

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it turned into a truly wonderful stay. We don’t drink alcohol, and when we mentioned that, they kindly replaced the drinks in the Room refrigerator with non-alcoholic options. We really appreciated such thoughtful attention. At dinner, they also gave my husband a single rose as a birthday gift. We were deeply moved by this unexpected and lovely gesture, and it became a great birthday memory. From the open-air bath in our Room, we could look out over the lake—the view was absolutely stunning. Soaking in the open-air bath while enjoying the expansive scenery was incredibly relaxing, and being able to enjoy the Onsen at our own pace whenever we liked felt like a real luxury. Dinner was delicious as well—especially the pizza! It was so good that we ended up having two. If I had to mention one small concern, since it’s surrounded by nature there were quite a few insects. When we tried to use the open-air bath at night, many bugs (like stink bugs) had gathered there, so unfortunately we gave up bathing at that time. That said, I think that’s simply part of staying in such a natural setting. More than anything else, what stayed with us were the view from our Room, the Onsen, the food, and the staff’s warm hospitality. We were able to celebrate my husband’s birthday in a wonderful way and made lasting memories. Thank you very much.

The Room was very clean, and I was able to stay comfortable throughout my entire visit. What I especially loved were the infinity pool and the sauna. With only seven Rooms available per day, it never felt crowded, and I could relax and enjoy them at a leisurely pace. The views were stunning, and you can truly experience an extraordinary escape from everyday life. The staff’s hospitality was also excellent, making my stay very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar had a wonderful atmosphere as well. Being able to enjoy drinks slowly while taking in the view was particularly memorable. It’s not an inexpensive Accommodation, but considering the Facility offerings, meals, service, and views, I felt it was well worth the price. I would love to stay again.

This is an inn I had been curious about for about a year, and I was finally able to make my long-awaited stay come true. At check-in, you kindly explained the history and culture of Ise-Kawasaki in great detail, which truly moved me. The Ise tea and salted yokan served to us were delicious, and the warm, attentive hospitality of the staff member in charge left a lasting impression. The room was a charming space where you could feel the breath of history—spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The beautiful garden view stretching out beyond the room was so captivating that I found myself gazing at it for ages. The amenities were also wonderful, including VMG’s familiar rice bran series and the “Ise Misogi-yu” bath salts. What impressed me most was breakfast. The dishes inspired by the tradition of “Shinsen,” offerings presented to the deities at the Grand Shrine, had deep, comforting flavors that reflected both craftsmanship and heartfelt care. It brought me a profound sense of peace and healing as I felt connected to the local climate and history. I also appreciated being able to enjoy Ise udon at breakfast—something I had missed during my trip—which was such a thoughtful touch. At check-out, you gladly took commemorative photos in front of the main building and warmly saw us off until we were out of sight; that moment remains vividly in my heart even now. It was clear that everyone on staff truly cherishes Ise’s history and culture. This stay reminded me of Japan’s precious sense of beauty—something easily forgotten amid everyday busyness—and made it an unforgettable experience. I would love to return again. Room, bath, amenities, meals, and hospitality—everything was extremely satisfying. My grandchild is still very young, but we would love to visit again when they are older—I’m sure they’ll be delighted. Before that, we’ll be back again as a family (lol).

The private family bath was spacious and even had a waterfall feature, with the water at just the right temperature, so we could soak and relax. The atmosphere of the large public bath was also wonderful. The meals featured local ingredients, the portions were just right, and we were very satisfied! If you have mobility issues, going up and down to the first floor may be difficult, but it was a quiet place to spend time. We’d love to visit again after a hike in the mountains.

We had a truly wonderful time. Thank you for celebrating my birthday as well—it made me very happy and became a great memory. All of the food was delicious, and my husband was impressed too. I’m glad we were able to use the Mirabelle and Repronizer amenities. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, making our stay comfortable and fun. We visited as two families, and the quiet atmosphere throughout the property and the deep presence of nature felt wonderfully soothing. Each of us was able to spend a calm, unhurried time at our own pace. The bagna càuda served at dinner was especially memorable—an exquisite dish that brought out the best of seasonal ingredients with great care, and one we would love to enjoy again. Yamanohito’s culinary philosophy—honoring the inherent strength of each ingredient—came through clearly, quietly yet unmistakably. The hospitality from all staff members was among the finest we have experienced at any accommodation. It never felt excessive; instead, they offered attentive support exactly when needed, allowing us to relax with complete peace of mind throughout our stay. This has become a truly special place for our family—one we hope to revisit in different seasons to enjoy changing mountain scenery and cuisine each time.

[All-Inclusive] An Elegant Evening with an Authentic Teppanyaki Dinner and Free-Flow Drinks (Dinner & Breakfast Included) – Premium Twin Room Everything was wonderful. - Room: It was spacious, had a sofa, and we were able to relax comfortably. Having two sinks was also very convenient. However, I tripped on the step at the entrance to the washroom, so I hope this can be improved. - Dining: Every dish in the dinner course looked and tasted amazing. Drinks were free-flow with a glass-exchange system, so we enjoyed beer and sparkling wine. For breakfast, we could choose from three types of galettes, and they were delicious. Curry was also included, which would be great for those with a big appetite—our group doesn’t eat much, so we ended up feeling very full. - The lounge was also a wonderful space where we could relax comfortably. - There was also a large public bath—this was one of the main reasons we chose this property—and everything about it was excellent. We would definitely like to stay again.

I love Okinawa and visit with my child more than once a year. I’ve stayed at most hotels there, and this is a place where your senses come alive the moment you step inside. Among hotels of the same class in Okinawa, it may well be the best in both service and facilities. The airport transfers to and from Naha Airport were both in an Alphard. The female foreign driver on our return trip made the ride especially comfortable. Arriving at the lobby after dozing off on the way, we were greeted by a breathtaking view—welcome drinks served while looking out over the beautiful sea. From our room as well, we had an uninterrupted view of blue skies and an emerald-green ocean stretching out before us. The private pool is also an infinity pool, so it felt wonderful no matter how many times we went in. There were floats for both adults and children as well. For dinner, we chose sushi kaiseki on the first night and French on the second. Wanting to relax in our room with our child, we asked to switch the sushi kaiseki to room service; they set it up side by side facing the window so we could enjoy it while watching the sunset—and it was absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented with exceptional freshness; you can really sense the chef’s artistry! For French dinner, we were shown to a private room and enjoyed a relaxed meal on a sofa there as well. We heard this property was ranked No. 1 by Ikkyu as a “gourmet destination,” and I completely agree—the dishes were elegant French cuisine that truly highlighted each ingredient’s flavor. While many luxury hotels offer rather typical kids’ menus, here they wonderfully arranged a full-course children’s menu; my child usually leaves food behind but finished everything this time. I don’t drink alcohol, but the lounge offered Okinawan spirits and beer, along with bite-sized savory snacks and sweets that paired well—everything tasted great. They treated my child warmly throughout our stay too. This is definitely a hotel we want to return to!

We stayed here over Silver Week to celebrate a birthday. As this inn is known for its cuisine, we were most looking forward to the meals—and everything from start to finish was absolutely delicious. We booked the simmered golden eye snapper (Kinmedai) course because we really wanted to try it, and I highly recommend it at least once. The chef’s special desserts were also wonderful. There was a great selection of local sake as well. I didn’t have much of an image of Shizuoka sake before, but we enjoyed trying different ones by the single serving. The food was so good that we ended up drinking a bit too much (laughs). Our room was in a separate building, and meals were served in a private dining room, so we rarely ran into other guests and could truly relax. We also used the private bath, and together with the bath in our room, we ended up soaking four times in total. The temperature was perfect. All of the staff were polite and attentive. We’d love to come back again as a treat for ourselves—what started as a celebration turned into us having an amazing time too (laughs).

Although it was my first stay, I was instantly captivated by the beauty of the property and its exceptional cleanliness. The location from our room was perfect, and the in-room hot spring—always ready to use without adding heat or water—was truly soothing. This time I stayed while hosting guests from the United States, and I was deeply impressed by the staff’s hospitality. Even though we arrived late for dinner, they welcomed us warmly without a hint of displeasure. What surprised me even more was that they quickly translated and printed an English menu on the spot. My companion was equally moved. They also kindly accommodated our train schedule by moving breakfast 15 minutes earlier, showing thoughtful flexibility that truly considered our situation. This is a wonderful ryotei that genuinely makes you feel glad you stayed—one you’ll want to brag about. Next time, I will definitely bring my family!

We had a wonderful time enjoying activities such as exploring caves by pleasure boat and at the private beach, and collecting sea glass. What impressed us most was how comfortable the bedding was. We slept very well and would love to use similar bedding at home. If you don’t mind, we would be grateful if you could tell us the manufacturer and product name of the bedding you use. Thank you for such a lovely stay—we were completely satisfied and would definitely like to stay again.

Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. We were thrilled to stay for the first time in a Japanese-style room with a jacuzzi, which is usually very hard to secure a Reservation, and my cousin and I were overjoyed. We could also admire the Mid-Autumn full moon through the large open picture window at the front—it was an unforgettable, moving moment. Throughout the property, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches everywhere: simple arrangements of wildflowers and fine pieces on display that we could enjoy as we walked to the restaurant and public bath. The moon-viewing décor in the lobby lounge, as well as the magnificent folding screen and large floral arrangement at the entrance, were all wonderful. Next time, I would love to visit with my husband and family, including my son and his wife. Thank you very much.

This Accommodation offers ocean views even from single Rooms—truly a rare Ryokan. The daytime scenery is wonderful, but after dinner, when I returned to my Room, I could watch the lighthouse light floating on the night sea and the lights of fishing boats. It really gave me that satisfying feeling of “I came all the way to the sea.” The meal was fun, with a thoughtfully crafted menu. The sake was also delicious. The portion size was just right for me; if I had to ask for one thing, I would have loved a bit more sashimi (it was excellent). I had no idea that deep-sea fish are landed around Gamagori until I read the explanation. I did wish you could see a little more of the ocean from the open-air bath, but I understand there are various challenges. When I arrived at the Accommodation in the rain, a female staff member greeted me and kindly guided me to the front desk. The next morning at check-out, I was also delighted to meet their resident cat. Everyone seemed naturally considerate and attentive, which made me feel at ease throughout my stay.

The staff were very attentive, and the person who showed us to our Room was kind and considerate, which made our stay wonderful. The bath in the Room was spacious, the view was great, and the meals were delicious and generous in portion size. Everything was excellent, but I’m sorry I wasn’t able to eat the steak. We had such a comfortable and pleasant time that we will definitely return if our schedule allows. Thank you very much.

After staying here for the first time last June, we were finally able to return after a year and a half. Last time, we were deeply moved by the sight of Mt. Fuji emerging at dusk. With the long rainy spell in September, we came this time without high expectations—but we were pleasantly surprised and welcomed by a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji wrapped in drifting clouds. It was well worth coming back. Both the food and drinks were outstanding: the sashimi included spiny lobster, the soup featured seasonal matsutake mushrooms, and the seafood hot pot was like an exquisite acqua pazza. The late-night ochazuke was also wonderful—the gentle bonito broth really hit the spot. The next morning, soaking in an early bath while taking in another spectacular view of Mt. Fuji was unforgettable, and coffee on the terrace with Mt. Fuji before us was truly special. Thank you for making it such a lovely date—we can’t wait to return to “Futari Towani En.” We also recommend buying their dried horse mackerel for breakfast and soy-marinated mackerel to take home from Maruaki Fish Shop.

This was our third stay. We always choose the “Hacchan” room, and we are completely satisfied every time! This year, we came in spring for a soba lunch and stayed again in autumn. The room, the food, and the hospitality are always wonderful—we will definitely be returning. The new dog run is also spacious, and our dog loved it. We’re already looking forward to our next stay.

I’d known for some time that you serve wood-fired cuisine, and I was thrilled to finally try it for the first time! It was even more delicious than I imagined.

We stayed here for the first time during the autumn Silver Week for a Multiple Night Stay. Thanks to IKYU, we were able to discover this wonderful Hotel. The natural surroundings are beautiful, the architecture and interiors are excellent, the staff’s smiles are warm, and the dishes at the restaurant are beautifully presented—truly the best hidden retreat Hotel unique to Kumihama.
