This was my third stay. After arriving while it was still light out, I first enjoyed Goshobo’s semi-mixed Onsen and the large public bath with its golden Onsen. Since it was summer, even a short soak left me sweating nonstop. In the large bath, I shared the water with someone for the first time here; we had a pleasant chat and ended up soaking a bit longer. Dinner was a lighter, seafood-focused course. The chilled Awaji spiny lobster soup was a perfect match with Koshu wine. The highlight began with sashimi of meita-garei flounder and aged sea bream, followed by more Akashi-ura fish to enjoy. The charcoal-grilled Spanish mackerel and the Akashi sea bream acqua pazza were both seasonal specials you can only have here at this time of year. The broth in the acqua pazza was much lighter than last autumn’s filefish version. To finish, the cheese course left me fully satisfied in both quality and quantity—thank you for the wonderful meal. For breakfast, I switched back to the standard menu: milk, soup, vegetables—an all-around delicious plate—beautiful French toast, and yogurt meant to savor the jam and honey. Everything tasted exactly as good as expected. Even the mini breads were great; this time, the buttery croissant was my favorite. In my Room bath, I topped up little by little while letting it cool slightly, enjoying a pleasantly lukewarm golden Onsen. The breeze through the window felt wonderful: lush greenery everywhere, distant summer skies, murmuring sounds of life outside—and cicadas loud enough not to lose to them. Summer Onsen really is something special. After breakfast I alternated between the golden Onsen and the low-temperature sauna. It was an extremely satisfying holiday stay. Thank you very much. P.S. While preserving the traditional machiya atmosphere overall, the Accommodation has been thoughtfully renovated with a focus on key areas such as the bathroom and kitchen—spacious, spotless, and highly practical. It was a comfortable space with an excellent sense of balance. Unlike a typical Hotel stay, it offered an experience that blends into the neighborhood, and I felt as if I were spending my very first day after moving in. There are many lighting fixtures, and being able to fine-tune them to suit different situations was very convenient. The complimentary local drinks—such as roasted green tea and cider—were a delightful touch that added to the travel mood. Everything from the teapot and cups to the tray and even the hair dryer had a refined design that was pleasing to look at. It was a wonderful Room combining quality with functionality. Under normal circumstances this would unquestionably be a 5-star stay, but this time I am rating it 3 stars. The guests upstairs ran around for minutes at night and again the next morning like shuttle runs, even falling loudly at times. It was noise at a level that would feel excessive even in an ordinary Hotel—and all the more so in a machiya-style place like Komado. Even if our floors were reversed and I were staying upstairs, it would still have carried through. It was extremely difficult to endure. I wanted to raise this through staff, but neither the main phone line nor the emergency contact number could be reached around 7:30 p.m. I believe this Accommodation’s core appeal is its high-quality feel that blends seamlessly into everyday life in town, so it was deeply disappointing that such noise is fundamentally incompatible with that experience. That said, if you are not paired with guests like we had this time, it will surely be an outstanding stay without complaint. Being able to look out onto the courtyard was also fantastic; it is illuminated at night and offers scenery different from daytime—I never got tired of it!

The building is still quite new, and everything was spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. At Habutae Saryo, it was great to have a selection of alcoholic drinks, light snacks, and soft drinks. On the evening of our second night we were a bit tired and didn’t feel like going out for dinner, but we were able to have a light bite at Habutae Saryo, relax for a while, and then finish with the late-night soba—very helpful. The snacks were also high quality. I hope other Nono properties will offer similar restaurant service as well. If I had to mention one thing, the washing area in the large public bath seemed limited, so it often felt crowded.

This long-established Ryokan had a calm atmosphere, and the garden was wonderful. Most notably, the in-room rock bath was so spacious that it felt almost too much for our family of three, and with free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source, we lost count of how many times we soaked. The meals were also carefully prepared; everything was delicious, especially the tasty rice—so good that our son, who usually never asks for seconds, did. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I’d been curious about this place for a long time, and finally got to stay here—something I’d been looking forward to. With the Hotel building and the marche all on the same grounds, it was wonderful to be able to take a stroll even after check-in. Both the Hotel itself and the Room were stylish and lovely. Regarding the towels provided in the Room, I would have appreciated being able to borrow one extra small towel for drying hands after using the restroom. For dinner, we had Japanese cuisine at musubi, but we also saw some international travelers who had bought ingredients and were cooking in the co-working space. Not only was every dish beautifully prepared, but we were also truly impressed by the head chef’s personality and kindness, as well as the thoughtful hospitality of all staff. We would love to visit again just for this meal. At breakfast, we could choose a main dish and soup, while drinks, side dishes, bread, rice, and soups were served buffet-style—an excellent balance overall. It became a truly wonderful memory. We’d love to make this our go-to Accommodation whenever we travel to Ehime.

I stayed here on my first solo trip around Shikoku. I only knew Ehime for its citrus and sea bream rice, but the dishes made with local ingredients served here were unbelievably delicious. They also noted where each ingredient was sourced, which made me want to explore more of Ehime. The Room was amazing with a reservoir view—an incredibly luxurious space. It got plenty of sun and was already very hot even at 5 a.m., so I didn’t spend much time relaxing on the terrace, but walking around the reservoir was very pleasant. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

[Room] The Room was very spacious and clean. There were five of us (two adults and three children), and we stayed very comfortably. There were two beds, and we laid out three futons in the open space, but there was still plenty of room. Amenities were available in the lobby for guests to take what they needed, and it was nice that we could also take tea, coffee, and even snacks—not just toiletries. [Service] All staff members were friendly and helpful with a smile. We also appreciated them carrying our luggage from the car at the entrance. The dining staff were energetic and efficient, quickly clearing empty plates. [Baths] The large public bath and open-air bath were very spacious and relaxing. You could also choose from different shampoos. There were seven types of private family baths, and my wife and kids tried several of them. Best of all, all seven types can be used for free when available—amazing! It didn’t seem overly crowded either. The water in the cold-water dispenser in the public bath area didn’t feel very cold. I wanted to use the massage chairs, but they were often busy so it was hard to get a turn. Also, the foot area on the massage chairs was dirty and felt a bit unhygienic. It would be great if this could be checked regularly. [Meals] The buffet had a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. You could make your own seafood rice bowl with sashimi, which was especially tasty. Thoughtful touches like buffet carts and elastic bands to keep yukata sleeves out of the way were wonderful. [Facility & Equipment] The entire Facility was extremely clean. All floors are shoes-off areas, but walking barefoot never felt uncomfortable at all. We also appreciated that socks for indoor use were included in the Room towel set—a nice touch. You can choose between yukata or samue loungewear; many guests wore samue, including our family. Free welcome drinks and complimentary ice cream after bathing made everything feel wonderfully generous. There are plenty of kid-friendly areas such as a play space, a family game corner, table tennis, etc., so our children had an absolute blast.

It was a wonderful stay, and I was very satisfied, with the unique aesthetic of architect Togo Murano felt throughout. The Hotel is surrounded by lush nature, making it pleasant to enjoy a relaxing walk. At the same time, taking the subway gets you to the city center in about 15 minutes, so access is very convenient. The breakfast I had been looking forward to offered just the right variety for both Western and Japanese options, and everything was delicious. Although I don’t usually wear provided pajamas, they matched the Hotel’s refined atmosphere perfectly, so I enjoyed wearing them this time. The walk from the elevator to my room was a bit long, but being able to stroll while admiring the beautiful courtyard view through the windows made even that travel time feel like a relaxing moment.

We stayed as a group of two adults and three preschool children. The Accommodation was very clean, and the Room was spacious, so we could relax comfortably. We chose a Room with an open-air bath, which meant we could bathe anytime and then lounge on the bed or sofa—absolutely wonderful. The minibar was well stocked, with a great selection ranging from non-alcoholic drinks to wine, juice, and coffee. We could also borrow table games, and in the evening our family enjoyed playing Othello. Since we had a 0-year-old baby, we requested a baby bath and a diaper trash bin. Not only were those provided, but they also kindly placed baby soap for us as well, which we really appreciated. When I asked on the day if it would be possible to lay out futons in the Japanese-style Room, they gladly agreed and prepared them while we were at dinner. After going to the beach, there was an outdoor shower around the back with warm water available. It also connected to a rear entrance leading directly to the large public bath inside, so we were able to stay comfortable throughout our time in the Accommodation. The meals were delicious. They contacted us in advance about allergies and accommodated us accordingly, so we could dine with peace of mind. At mealtimes—without us even asking—they had already set up a bed where our baby could sleep. They also lent coloring books and toys so our older children wouldn’t get bored, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed meal for the first time in quite a while. One small but truly appreciated point: they provided towels generously. There were plenty of both bath towels and face towels in the Room, and after returning from the beach they handed us fresh bath towels for everyone along with clothes we had left at reception beforehand. There was no need to request extra towels at all—zero minor stress. All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming; it was a wonderful Accommodation full of hospitality. When we visit Amanohashidate again, we will definitely stay here. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of us. This was a truly top-tier Accommodation that exceeded all expectations. I understand you are now in your 18th generation—when it comes to Onsen Accommodations, nothing compares to a long-established inn. Of course, both the large public bath and the in-Room bath are fed directly from the source with free-flowing spring water. The staff were exceptionally attentive—so much so that we almost felt apologetic for receiving such kindness. Above all, the dining was outstanding, far beyond anything we had imagined. The tableware was also beautiful throughout, including pieces inspired by Rosanjin’s works, making each meal a delight not only for the palate but also for the eyes. The Kaga cuisine was delicately seasoned yet deeply flavorful. Everything was immaculately cleaned, and the view from the window was truly soothing. While preserving the charm of this historic inn, the property has been beautifully renewed with touches of contemporary art woven in seamlessly. Naturally, many Rosanjin works are displayed throughout the building as well, and they were well worth seeing. I also suspect many guests may not notice this—but in the lobby, Rooms, and bathing areas: there are countless chairs everywhere, and most appear to be high-end pieces. I can only imagine how much has been invested overall; especially the chair inside the elevator must be quite expensive. Even details like lighting and clocks have clearly been chosen with great care. We visited with very high expectations for an Onsen Accommodation, yet everything surpassed them by a wide margin—truly impressive. We would love to return again soon.

This Accommodation made me wish I could have extended my stay if I hadn’t had work the next day. From the parking guidance on arrival through to check-out, we received warm and pleasant hospitality. As it is a Ryokan with only a few Rooms, it felt very private, and we hardly ever shared the Onsen with other guests. It was a wonderful escape from everyday life and left us feeling refreshed. We would love to visit again.

The building, Rooms, and all shared areas are stylish and spotless. The services and meals are excellent. There is nothing around the Hotel, so I was able to relax quietly in the in-room Onsen.

I came to Nara for the first time with my mother because we wanted to see Nara Park and the deer. We chose this Ryokan because it is close to Nara Park and has an in-room Onsen. I love traveling both in Japan and abroad, and when traveling domestically, I enjoy staying at Onsen Ryokan and wonderful Hotels. I have visited many places, but Fufu Nara was truly outstanding. Sightseeing was fun as well—we explored more than just the deer—and I would definitely like to visit Nara again, and return to Fufu Nara too. The staff’s hospitality was excellent; everyone was incredibly kind. The room and the Onsen were very clean and perfect. All of the food was delicious. We will be back.

From the moment we boarded the elevator to the Ryokan from in front of Sounzan Station, it was an exciting experience. The Accommodation and all the staff welcomed us with a warm atmosphere, and everything—the Room, the carefully prepared meals, the Onsen, and the views—was wonderfully soothing. We were able to spend a slow, quiet, luxurious time. Thank you very much.

The service was arguably the best we have ever experienced. The Facility was, of course, excellent, and the meals were top-class in both quality and portion size. What impressed us even more was how kindly and thoughtfully you advised us regarding the Shuttle Service. Getting to Kirishima Shrine can be inconvenient due to limited transportation, but thanks to everyone at the Accommodation, we were able to visit Kirishima Shrine very comfortably. We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again. Thank you very much.

All staff members checked in with us thoughtfully and attentively, which made our family’s stay very comfortable. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We will make a Reservation at the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto again for our next stay in Kyoto.

This was our first trip to Hokkaido with three generations of our family. We were more than satisfied with the breathtaking view of Mt. Yotei and the wonderful Room, which was spacious and allowed us to enjoy privacy as well. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much.

This was our first visit for a birthday anniversary trip. Everything was outstanding. There are only 13 Rooms, and each is a separate, unique detached villa. The interior is thoughtfully designed down to every detail, spacious and comfortable, and the garden is beautifully maintained, making it a very relaxing stay. As Onsen lovers, we barely had time to rest—we fully enjoyed all seven private baths as well as the bath in our Room. There is no large public bath, but there are six private Onsen baths that you can use freely at any time. The water is free-flowing and feels wonderful. The meals were also beautifully presented with great attention to appearance as well as ingredients—decorated with orchids, stunning to look at, and very generous in portion size. From wagyu beef to lobster and shark fin, it was an incredibly luxurious and delicious dining experience. I recommend arriving with a big appetite. The staff’s hospitality and service were excellent too. We were truly glad we chose this place for our anniversary trip—it’s an Accommodation worth visiting even if you have to fly there. I’d love to come back in another season, and I’m also curious about other Rooms, so I’m sure we’ll return. If you’re unsure where to stay, I highly recommend this place.

It was a quiet, relaxing Hotel—exactly as expected. The Room was also very comfortable. It made me appreciate the space all over again, and the entire Hotel truly feels like ART. Breakfast was delicious, and I was completely satisfied! All the staff were very kind, and it made me want to stay here again whenever I visit Kyoto.
