We are a couple in our 50s traveling to refresh. We had a wonderful stay at this new Facility surrounded by nature. The Room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were excellent. We also appreciated the staff’s thoughtful service, which allowed us to truly relax and unwind. It is close to a roadside station as well, and we bought corn and blueberries to take home—everything was delicious. It would have been perfect with a bathtub, but the shower booth was large and comfortable, so we had no complaints. The shampoo was especially great and left our hair silky smooth. We would be very happy if it could be purchased at the Hotel.

We stayed as a family on New Year's Eve to escape the year-end hustle and bustle. The small hall was crowded with guests, but the front desk staff and attendants welcomed us warmly with smiles. The room was not very spacious but was clean and comfortable, equipped with coffee and mineral water. The silver shiny walls, full-length mirror closet doors, and compact yet renovated bathroom showed thoughtful design throughout. Although the public bath wasn't very large, I had perfect timing to enjoy it all to myself, which made me very satisfied. However, it might feel cramped during busy hours. The women's colorful yukata were stylishly designed, while the alphabet-printed yukata for general use featured vibrant colors and patterns that added a cheerful touch—especially contrasting against men's typically darker attire—enhancing the travel experience's charm. Meals were served in our room; dinner was flavorful and delicious. On New Year's morning, we enjoyed traditional osechi breakfast along with otoso (spiced sake), poured in order starting from younger guests as per custom—a refreshing moment to start anew. It was my first time trying Kyoto-style white miso soup with round mochi for ozoni; it marked a wonderful beginning to Reiwa Year 8. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Nishiki Market—with nearby sweets shops and cafes scattered around. Unfortunately, many stores seemed closed on New Year's Day itself. Surprisingly enough though, we couldn't hear any temple bells ringing at midnight but managed to sleep soundly right after welcoming the new year. While Kyoto has many hotels available, staying at a ryokan truly offers an exceptional experience!

I love wild boar and travel around to enjoy it. The miso soup with plenty of mushrooms was incredibly delicious! The sashimi and salt-grilled char were also excellent. I came for lunch as well, and the soba noodles were tasty (soba is also served at night). There are two baths, and since there was only one other group of guests, I could use them whenever I wanted—lucky me! It was very relaxing. The futon was fluffy, allowing me to sleep soundly and recover from fatigue—it was perfect. Besides basic amenities, the bath area had many items that seemed like forgotten belongings from other guests. There were few power outlets in the Room. For sightseeing, a waterfall is within walking distance; arriving early to relax might be a good idea! Perhaps because my Room was in the back, the Wi-Fi signal was weak. Overall, I had a wonderful time here! I'd love to visit again!

We stayed on the first day of a long weekend. Despite our late arrival due to a change in plans, we were warmly welcomed and assisted with great care. We appreciated the thoughtful suggestion to prepare futons on the first floor for my elderly parents with weak legs. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and even my usually light-eating son had seconds of rice. It made us want to try dinner next time as well. We hope to stay longer during our next visit. I stayed just before a long holiday and happened to have the place to myself, so I could relax without any worries. The staff were wonderful and provided attentive service. The homemade fruit liqueurs, jams, and vegetables were delicious—I even forgot to take photos (lol). The only thing that didn’t suit me was the firm pillow, but everything else—the Room, bath, terrace, and more—was lovely. I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much!

As we didn’t have large suitcases, there was no inconvenience and it didn’t feel cramped thanks to the luggage rack and other amenities. The Room had only a shower booth, but it was more convenient than a shower curtain setup, and the toilet was separate, so there were no issues. Personally, I would have liked another type of towel in a different size. The mattress was great and I slept comfortably, and the large mirror was convenient for two people to use. Breakfast met my expectations; I was surprised they had sparkling wine available, but I enjoyed it. I’d like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

The exterior looked like an ordinary Ryokan, but inside, the Rooms, baths, and dining area were all very clean. The meals were delicious Nikko-style dishes, carefully presented in thoughtfully chosen tableware and handmade. It was also very close to Nikko Edo Wonderland—about a 2–3 minute drive—so it’s a recommended Ryokan for those who are not particular about Onsen. To the proprietress: the washlet in Room 205 is broken. I think it would be best to have it repaired as soon as possible.

I stayed in a single Room while visiting my hometown. It was quiet, and I slept well. Amenities are available at the entrance, so you can take only what you need, which kept things uncluttered. I would like to stay here again.

The Asama Onsen district spreads across the eastern part of Matsumoto City, climbing up the foothill slope. The Accommodation is built on the hillside, and the road in front of the entrance is only one lane wide. After leaving your luggage at the Accommodation, you move to the parking area via a narrow alley-like passage about 2 meters wide. If you have a larger car, it seems better to enter from another wider road, park there first, and then carry your luggage. This is an old Accommodation; the furniture and fittings are also old but of good quality, carefully maintained, and immaculately cleaned. The hospitality feels heartfelt; while some younger staff may seem a little awkward, they are poised and dignified. You can sense the refined quality of a prestigious Accommodation. The Room—created by combining two rooms into one—has well-chosen furniture and furnishings. It is calming and comfortable. In the in-room bath, hot natural spring water flows directly from the source; unless you truly love very hot baths, you will want to add cold water to adjust it. For smaller guests, it is deep enough to soak up to your shoulders and long enough to stretch out your legs. Opening the large window facing the garden lets in wonderfully refreshing air. The large public bath and private bath are spacious with a comfortable temperature. The lockers are solid as well. A table adapted from a lacquered low dining table is paired with chairs that are easy to sit on. The dishes brought to your Room one after another at just the right timing are genuine gourmet cuisine—anticipation and satisfaction continue throughout. Allergy accommodations and requests regarding disliked ingredients were handled perfectly. Interestingly—and elegantly—the menu does not list the head chef’s name. There is a separate bedroom with very comfortable beds. It is quiet.

We stayed for one night with our child (6 years old) and relatives. The moment we entered the Room, we were surrounded by the scent of hinoki cypress and instantly felt relaxed. The amenities and Facility were all stylish, and we were able to spend our time feeling truly pampered. I usually really dislike typical Hotel pajamas (the comfort...) and hair dryers (the airflow just isn’t enough for thick hair...), but at hon, both were not only fine—they were genuinely impressive! I even checked the price of the pajamas online to buy them for home, and it made perfect sense. We were told in advance that “due to the structure, sound can carry easily,” and I did notice some noise from upstairs as I was falling asleep. That said, it’s really just luck, so if you think it might bother you, bringing earplugs could be a good idea. Overall, I felt this Accommodation is more suited for adults, but surprisingly my 6-year-old son seemed to like it the most (lol). The staff were also very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. I have stayed at NIPPONIA in other locations before, but we chose this Accommodation because it is close to Chichibugahama Beach. It seems well suited for longer stays, with a spacious kitchen that was very easy to use. The two-story maisonette layout also provided plenty of privacy; the three of us stayed as a family and each of us could relax at our own pace. We could walk to Chichibugahama Beach, and although it was extremely hot, we enjoyed morning and evening walks. Since dining options are a bit far away, it was slightly inconvenient without a car. It might be nice if in-Room dining were available as an option as well. This time we also ordered an optional cake, and they kindly consulted with us from the planning stage, making it a wonderful birthday and trip with great memories. I would love to come back and take it easy again in another season.

We stayed here for a family trip. The parking space was spacious, the Room was new, and there was no unpleasant detergent smell typical of Business Hotels, making our stay comfortable. The sink could have been a bit larger to accommodate toiletries for two people, but it was within an acceptable range. We didn't use the coffee area on the first floor, but it seemed convenient when bringing in breakfast. This Hotel is recommended for trips exploring places like Nikko by rental car.

This was our second stay, and just like last time, we came in February to play in the snow. Above all, the staff were very kind both last year and this year, which made our stay truly pleasant. We stayed with a large dog, and the Room was so spacious that even after setting up a soft dog crate, it still felt just as roomy! The Room was kept very warm with a gas heater, and since we cooked for ourselves, it felt nostalgic—like an old training camp. We will visit again next year. Thank you.

Stayed at the accommodation after visiting Tomioka Silk Mill. The cool night was refreshing and felt like another world, providing a relaxing experience. Had delightful conversations with the couple running the pension and enjoyed a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

To everyone at the Hotel, and Nagi—thank you for taking such great care of me. These two nights and three days truly helped me understand the concept of “luxury through simplicity.” It gave me a chance to reset by letting go of built-up fatigue and stress in both body and mind, and to spend unhurried time reflecting on myself. Next time I’ll stay for three nights and four days—and I’ll come see you again!

Stayed here while doing the Lake Biwa cycling loop by road bike. Two nights in a mini cottage with breakfast included for 4,800 yen. Limited-time deal? I couldn’t believe it was during summer vacation—so cheap I was worried, but everything was well taken care of down to the details and it was excellent. The bath (5 tubs), showers (4), and toilets (4 or more) are shared, as is the fridge/freezer. Breakfast is available from 6:00 a.m., with rice refills (self-serve) and a plate of nine side dishes plus natto and miso soup. You can also help yourself to furikake, tea, coffee, and more. The Room has heating/air conditioning, a TV, and free Wi‑Fi. If I had to nitpick, the bed is on the small side and there’s no mattress pad. For the price, it was outstanding.

Both dinner and breakfast included warm dishes, and everything was very delicious. The portions were generous. We could use the bath as a private reservation, which made us feel at ease. The Room was clean and comfortable with no issues. There are no amenities provided, so bringing your own towels, bath towels, and toothbrush is essential. I would like to stay again.

Despite a last-minute reservation, we were fortunate to have our room upgraded, and we were deeply touched by this thoughtful gesture upon arrival. With only five rooms, the accommodation offers a luxurious and meticulously maintained environment. Even though it was shortly after the Tohoku earthquake, the area was completely unaffected, providing a serene and enriching experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the onsen. The natural hot spring water is free of any additives or heating adjustments, offering what can only be described as "miraculously perfect temperature" that warms you to your core. The private onsen experience with fresh flowing water is a unique charm of an accommodation of this scale. Meals were also exceptional, featuring creative dishes made with local ingredients—well worth the trip. Young staff members actively share updates through social media, showcasing their passion for revitalizing the onsen area. Although it’s a bit far from Kanto, I look forward to visiting again during bamboo shoot season next time!

I enjoyed a relaxing bath with the provided bath salts. The Hotel had a charming Japanese-style design and was cozy, which suited my preferences, but the bed was too soft for me. I wished the Room was slightly more spacious, though it seems there are different room types available. While there was no parking at the Hotel, there was a nearby Times parking lot, so it wasn't inconvenient. The staff were very young but provided polite and friendly service, leaving a great impression.
