From welcome to farewell, the hospitality was outstanding, and every staff member assisted us sincerely at a very high level. The property is quiet, calm, and comfortable—hard to believe you’re in Ginza. A highly functional Room where attention to detail is evident throughout and everything feels thoughtfully designed. We also appreciated the semi-open-air style indoor bath spacious enough to lie back in, as well as the dimmable lighting system in the washroom. Above all, the cuisine was exceptional—fresh ingredients paired with unexpected combinations and seasonings that delighted us. The rooftop footbath and free-flow drinks were perfect for us. With not a single negative point during our stay, we can’t stop thinking about visiting other “Fufu” properties. Next time, we might choose “Jogashima.”

We felt the thoughtful attention in our Room and at the restaurant, and my wife and I were able to enjoy a wonderful birthday. The Facility had the charm of a classic Hotel while offering the comfort of a Resort Hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen at Atagokan. If we have another chance to visit Karuizawa, we would love to stay again.

I stayed at this Hotel for the first time in June 2026. I arrived by private car, but this Hotel does not have its own parking lot. You will need to use a partnered parking lot. A parking discount voucher is provided at check-in. I chose the “Superior Twin / Twin with Two Semi-Double Beds (30 m²).” The Room was a corner Room. There is a hallway between the entrance door and the bedroom area, which made it very convenient to use. The beds were comfortable and I had no issues sleeping. Guests can freely use the “Premier Lounge” on the 5th floor from 12:00 to 23:00. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, and soft-serve ice cream are available free of charge, so you can relax whenever you like. One thing to note is checkout. Around 9:00 a.m., the elevators were crowded, and it took extra time because they were already full by the time they reached some floors. If you are catching a bullet train or similar transportation, please allow extra time.

This was our third stay, and once again we were completely satisfied. Last time we stayed in a first-floor corner Room with a private dog run, which was very comfortable in its own way, but this time we had a third-floor corner Room. There wasn’t a private dog run, but the high ceilings made the entire Room feel spacious and open, and it was truly relaxing. The first and third floors each have their own unique appeal. What left the strongest impression again this time was the food. Dinner is served in the Room, so there’s no need to leave your dog behind and move to a dining area—everyone can relax without worry. That alone is a huge plus when traveling with a dog, but beyond that, the quality of the cuisine is exceptionally high. Not only are the ingredients excellent, each one is thoughtfully prepared with an extra touch of care—you can really feel the chef’s craftsmanship in every dish. It’s not just beautiful to look at; it’s genuinely delicious. Honestly, if I ever appeared on “The Best Restaurant of My Life,” I might even nominate this place. That’s how memorable dinner here is every time. It’s also wonderful that breakfast is served in the Room as well. Without having to move around with your dog or worry about others from early morning, you can enjoy your meal at your own pace. And of course breakfast is delicious too—overall satisfaction with meals from dinner through breakfast is extremely high. The baths were outstanding as well. Our whole family used the large public bath three times during our stay. It fully delivers on what you hope for when coming all the way to Hakone—to truly enjoy an Onsen. The staff are also very experienced with guests traveling with dogs and interact naturally without making things feel overly formal, which gives great peace of mind. You may occasionally hear dogs barking inside the building, but there’s an atmosphere of mutual understanding among guests, which made it easy to relax. After three stays—and feeling “we want to come back” every single time—this has become an Accommodation that will likely be our first choice for our next trip to Hakone as well.

This was my second stay, following last year. The lobby, Room, and large public bath are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The large public bath is excellent. The Onsen leaves your skin feeling smooth, and I especially liked the open-air bath with a very hot option. Breakfast featured many Chichibu specialties and was healthy, so I could eat plenty without feeling heavy—while still offering hearty options for those who want a more filling meal. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Chichibu.

We visited during Golden Week for a birthday trip. From the warm welcome to the lounge, Room, baths, and meals, everything throughout our stay was wonderful and made it a truly unforgettable trip. The view from the Room was beautiful, and we were able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time. Every dish was genuinely delicious; even though the portions were generous, it was so good that I finished everything for the first time. All of the staff were consistently kind and attentive, which made our entire stay very comfortable. We also went to an outside bath, but it was quite crowded—so much so that we felt completely satisfied with just the Ryokan’s baths. In particular, the in-Room bath had perfect temperature and excellent water quality, and it was incredibly soothing. I’ve been traveling about once every two months for many years, but this is the first Ryokan that truly made me think, “I definitely want to come back.” Next time, I’d love to visit during crab season. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

From the moment we arrived until check-out, we felt truly satisfied throughout our stay. We have often stayed at The Kahala Hotel in Hawaii as well, and our children were excited, saying it smelled just like Hawaii, and they had a wonderful time. The staff’s thoughtfulness was outstanding; even though we were staying with a baby, they responded to every request with a smile and “Of course,” for which we were truly grateful. We had dinner at OZIO, and every dish was so wonderful it made us think it was French cuisine; we were genuinely impressed that there is no Italian dining of this level in Osaka—even at a Hotel. The breakfast buffet was also very clean, delicious, and high in quality item by item—we were completely satisfied. Whenever we visit Yokohama, this is the Hotel we will definitely choose again. Thank you very much for such happy memories.

The meals are such high quality you’d never guess they’re buffet-style. The menu changes with the seasons, so it never gets boring, and everything is consistently delicious every time we visit! The Rooms may seem similar at first, but the layouts and interiors vary, which makes it fun and interesting. The Surprise Plan is the best—guaranteed to become an unforgettable memory! It’s wonderful to receive, and just as fun to plan for someone else. A space where everyone is sure to feel happy! We’re truly grateful to all the staff who create this extraordinary and wonderful atmosphere.

After check-in, it was great to have sweet potato chips, monaka wafers, and drinks such as sparkling wine in the lounge. They also poured iced coffee into my bottle, so I could relax in the Room and enjoy it while taking in the view. Since check-out is at 12:00, I was able to swim in the infinity pool and unwind in the jacuzzi as well. The Sorano Hotel I had been wanting to visit was amazing.

Having stayed here before, I thought my grandchildren would love it, so we booked the villa for a three-generation stay with my daughter’s family. The moment my daughter and son-in-law walked in, they were overwhelmed by the view and exclaimed, “This is amazing!” and “It feels like the home of someone who became successful at a young age,” absolutely delighted. The grandchildren also went into the garden jacuzzi again and again, saying it was “like a pool.” When they got tired of the jacuzzi, they played at the nearby “Kaze no Buranko” swing. Because it’s a villa, you can relax without worrying about others—an ideal Facility for families with small children. The staff also provided thoughtful hospitality that anticipated our needs. We were extremely satisfied. Thank you very much.

The view from the Room was wonderful, and the meals were delicious—everything was excellent. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked a little more time to use the bath at a relaxed pace. I will visit again in a different season. Thank you for your hospitality.

The staff service, the comfort of the Room, the high-quality meals, and the convenient location—not too far from the station with a convenience store nearby—always make for a fulfilling holiday. The elevator also shows the next floor it will stop at, offering a small but thoughtful touch.

The first Hotel in Japan to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). The highest level of comfort! They promptly accommodated a sudden Room change and provided wonderfully courteous service. Thank you very much. The same attendant as last time assisted us again, and everyone was delighted with the consistently excellent service. The Hotel’s atmosphere and the staff are always polite and kind—truly outstanding! We will definitely stay again.

This was my 8th stay at the FAUCHON Hotel Kyoto—my absolute favorite in Kyoto, which I love so much. I was visiting Kyoto for a friend’s grand opening celebration, and at the perfect time I received a birthday coupon from the FAUCHON spa. So I decided, “Let’s treat myself to a special birthday FAUCHON hotel stay!” I planned it with excitement—booking the towel cake I’d seen on Instagram and in Reviews on IKYU.com for the first time, along with the spa’s pink bubble bath that had made me unbelievably happy before. It was my third time staying in an East Higashiyama-view FAUCHON Suite, but the sofa and table layout had changed. The moment I entered the room, I couldn’t help cheering at how adorable the towel cake was—I took tons of photos and enjoyed it to the fullest! The handwritten “Happy Birthday” message on my key card, and the illustrated birthday card placed with the towel cake, became precious keepsakes that I brought home as treasured memories. The cute hand-drawn illustrations on both the full-length mirror and bathroom mirror also made me feel endlessly happy every time I saw them. I’m truly glad I chose to spend my birthday hotel stay in a FAUCHON Suite! Since my Plan included lounge access, I spaced it out from my spa appointment and enjoyed an early dinner and drinks. Along with my favorite champagne and umeshu, after enjoying the Shigaraki-ware bathtub in my room once, I topped up fluids and sugar with cola and sweets before heading to the spa. Even for the pink bubble bath at the spa—which I had been looking forward to so much—they prepared another towel cake with a heart. After having my tired feet massaged, I returned straight to my bed in the room and instantly fell asleep—I was blissfully happy beyond words. The next morning, I woke naturally before 4:00 a.m., watched dawn during magic hour, wrote myself a birthday card using one of the room postcards (and mailed it at a postbox at the end of my trip), enjoyed tea and coffee, and savored that Higashiyama view from by-the-window table. The steamed breakfast served in bamboo steamers at restaurant breakfast, as well as a birthday message cake after checkout—and even iced tea brewed by Grandy Master—everything was delicious. It was simply amazing. After buying souvenirs, even tag message attached to tote bag when they stored luggage were adorable too. Until leaving The FAUCHON Hotel Kyoto at last , this is best lingering feeling remained; It was best-ever FAUCHON hotel stay of mine! Thank you so much for such an overwhelmingly happiness-filled time!

This was my third stay, and every time I’m amazed by the thoughtful attention shown to guests. Even though I was traveling solo and only had breakfast included, I was treated so warmly, which I truly appreciate. As soon as I parked, a staff member came right out and carried my luggage for me. I even had a laptop with me, so it was quite heavy, but they carried it cheerfully and with great care. A staff member I’d spoken with before remembered my name and kindly took the time to greet me even while busy cleaning—it made me very happy. Last time, when Kanaru suddenly wandered off, they gently reassured me by saying, “It’s because a staff member who gives him treats just walked by,” which really warmed my heart. This time I got to pet him a lot, and I was also glad to hear more stories about Kanaru. Even late at night when heading toward the parking lot, there were staff members at the front desk and near the entrance/exit area, which made me feel safe. At breakfast as well, the pleasant greetings and guidance put me in a great mood, and having someone serve rice and miso soup made me feel at ease—I didn’t have to worry about spilling anything. I also overheard them telling another guest, “A window seat has opened up—would you like to move over?” and it really showed how much they want guests to be happy. (I understand this depends on timing and available seating.) At checkout too, they carried my heavy luggage all the way to my car—I was impressed until the very end. There were countless other thoughtful touches and support that I can’t possibly list them all. The more I visit, the more comfortable it feels here. Among Accommodations with high Reviews online there are some where you wonder why—but this place is the opposite. I honestly think 5.00 would be fair; in reality it exceeds its Reviews! As soon as I got home, I already wanted to come back again.

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday trip. We’ve traveled to many places together, and honestly, this was the best so far. We’re both not good with the summer heat, so we were a little worried about traveling in midsummer, but it was truly comfortable, and my wife said for the first time that she wants to come back! It was a wonderful Accommodation that made me want to return as well. Thank you for your kind and attentive service from check-in to check-out.

As it’s a new Hotel, it was very clean, the Facility was well equipped, and it was comfortable to stay there! I was also very satisfied with the separate roomwear. However, the convenience store is a bit far, and depending on which ticket gate you exit at Yokohama Station, the route can be hard to find.

If you’re staying in Gero for the architecture, Yunoshimakan is the place; if you’re staying for great food, I’d say this is it—Suimeien. Every dish was delicious, and the ayu sweetfish in particular was outstanding. The annex where we stayed was an adults-only area, which may be why it was so quiet at night. I was able to truly relax for the first time in a while. It also felt special to have access to a private Onsen reserved exclusively for annex guests—it was a fun and memorable experience. Both large public baths had towels available at the entrance, so there was no need to go back to the Room to get one. I could enjoy the Onsen anytime on a whim without bringing anything with me. (I especially liked the large bath on the first floor.) There is also a spot inside where you can enjoy coffee while looking outside; after breakfast, I spent a relaxing time reading there. I was amazed at how spotless everything was throughout the property—surely thanks to the excellent work of your housekeeping staff. It truly became a wonderful trip. Thank you very much. I will definitely stay again.

We stayed for one night in Yayoi in July with our dog as a couple. We’ve stayed at many dog-friendly Accommodations, and this is the best one for us. I especially love sulfur Onsen, and while other dog-friendly Accommodations we’ve stayed at had Onsen, none had sulfur springs. Here, there is also a free-flowing natural hot spring bath in the Room, so we didn’t have to leave our dog waiting to go to a public bath. Even though many places don’t allow dogs in the bathroom area, this Accommodation provided a dog bathtub, shampoo, and towels—I've never stayed anywhere so thoughtful. Our senior large dog kept coming to watch us enjoy the Onsen with curiosity. Just walking through the spilled water from the free-flowing sulfur spring at the washing area turned his rough, cracked paw pads into smooth ones—just like the Reviews said. It’s truly an amazing Onsen. The Imabari bath towel after bathing was fluffy and very comfortable. Since it was a No Meals Included stay, we mainly brought takeout from Nasu restaurants. We also bought Nasu cheese and sausages along with drinks and snacks, and picked up bread and yogurt for breakfast at a nearby shop before heading to the Accommodation. With the best sulfur Onsen, delicious food and drinks from Nasu, a quiet setting, we were able to relax completely. Our dog also seemed very satisfied with the cool highland climate, peaceful greenery-filled surroundings, and private feel without running into other dogs—he looked truly relaxed. All of us were soothed by both nature and the Onsen and went home extremely happy. My husband said he wants to come again in winter too—so we’ll be making another Reservation. Everything was outstanding—the maisonette-style Room, the in-room open-air bath, the shabu-shabu course, the service, and even the Takayama ramen! Next year during Golden Week, we plan to stay in the main building. Next time, we’ll go for an all-beef feast. During Obon, we’ll stay at the annex again and play golf at Shokawa Kogen Country Club.
