I was able to get away from everyday life and truly enjoy my stay. The duck hot pot at dinner had a comforting broth, the rice was delicious, and the local sake Hanatomoe was easy to drink and paired perfectly with the meal. And the water is wonderful—I believe you mentioned that you use spring water from underground. We enjoyed so many blessings from the mountains and river and finished everything. Thank you for the feast. The Dorogawa Onsen bath was also soothing and relaxing. Thank you for everyone’s warm hospitality and thoughtful care.

The two of us stayed for two nights. From reception to guidance to the Room and bath, everything was handled with great care. I’d never stayed at an Accommodation with such attentive service from check-in, so I was a bit nervous (lol). The Room was clean, and the bath felt luxurious—more exciting than relaxing! Also, we had a small issue unrelated to the Accommodation, but they responded immediately and it really helped. This is an excellent Accommodation that I’d recommend to anyone who wants to stay somewhere with a different atmosphere than usual, and I’d love to stay again! Thank you very much!

The traditional farmhouse has been beautifully renovated—it was truly lovely, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. For dinner by the irori hearth, the staff grilled skewers for us, and we left completely satisfied. Everyone on the team was kind and listened attentively, and my elderly father seemed to have a great time as well. Thank you so much for everything; it’s a place we would definitely love to visit again.

When I made a same-day accommodation reservation and set the check-in time for 11:00 PM, I called as I was likely to be about an hour late, and the response was excellent. Additionally, since my check-in was late, they extended the usual check-out time by an hour (check-out at 11:00 AM), allowing me to relax. I feel like I might stay here again next time. I also used APA Hotel during a business trip to Toyama, and they provided similar service. The room I stayed in seemed to be a corner room, and since the toilet/bathroom door opened to the left, it might have been easier if it opened to the right.

Weekday stay for a family of four in two rooms. The room was spacious and clean for two people. Dinner was luxurious, with enough sashimi to fill you up—highly recommended for seafood lovers. Other dishes like sukiyaki, soup, and chawanmushi were also very delicious. The staff provided friendly and attentive service with smiles, though having a menu would have been nice. For the bath, caution is needed as the large public bath's tub can be slippery. The outdoor bath was slightly lukewarm. Access to the rooftop open-air bath requires calling the front desk beforehand, so it’s best to make an early reservation as late-night or early-morning visits might inconvenience the staff (I regret not asking if multiple time slots could be reserved). However, if it's clear, you can enjoy stunning views of sunsets or starry skies from there—it’s refreshing! I’d love to stay again if I get another chance. Thank you!

The room was very clean. While sound could sometimes carry, it didn’t bother me much. The onsen was very relaxing, and I happened to use it when no one else was there, so I enjoyed it privately. Breakfast was hearty, and the rice was delicious. I am very satisfied with this accommodation at this price! If I may add one suggestion, the pillow felt too high and fluffy for me; a lower option would be appreciated. Even with that in mind, this is an accommodation I would love to stay at again!

During a 3-day, 2-night trip visiting Kanazawa → Hida Takayama → Kamikochi, we stayed in a Room with a private bath on the second night. The atmosphere of the Accommodation, the Room itself, and the staff’s service were all excellent; however, the only disappointment was the open-air bath attached to the Room. Although there was a net provided to remove debris, once you get into the tub, settled leaves (or similar) stir up and float around, making them impossible to fully remove and they cling to your body. I understand that this may be part of what an open-air bath is like, but at similar baths we have stayed at in the past, there was a simple cover when not in use so debris was not much of an issue...

This charming Ryokan is perfect for a relaxing stay, offering Onsen-equipped rooms where you can unwind all day. Ideal for a Multiple Night Stay, it allows you to fully enjoy the serene atmosphere. The meals are plentiful and satisfying, even for those with smaller appetites like my daughter and me. Complimentary beer and boiled eggs are available at the gazebo, adding to the delightful experience. What truly stands out is the warm hospitality of all staff members, from young male staff to new female staff, making every interaction soothing from check-in onwards. Located within walking distance of Yufuin's Yunotsubo Kaido Street, this Ryokan is highly recommended if you want to explore Yufuin while enjoying exceptional service and comfort.

We stayed as a family on New Year's Eve to escape the year-end hustle and bustle. The small hall was crowded with guests, but the front desk staff and attendants welcomed us warmly with smiles. The room was not very spacious but was clean and comfortable, equipped with coffee and mineral water. The silver shiny walls, full-length mirror closet doors, and compact yet renovated bathroom showed thoughtful design throughout. Although the public bath wasn't very large, I had perfect timing to enjoy it all to myself, which made me very satisfied. However, it might feel cramped during busy hours. The women's colorful yukata were stylishly designed, while the alphabet-printed yukata for general use featured vibrant colors and patterns that added a cheerful touch—especially contrasting against men's typically darker attire—enhancing the travel experience's charm. Meals were served in our room; dinner was flavorful and delicious. On New Year's morning, we enjoyed traditional osechi breakfast along with otoso (spiced sake), poured in order starting from younger guests as per custom—a refreshing moment to start anew. It was my first time trying Kyoto-style white miso soup with round mochi for ozoni; it marked a wonderful beginning to Reiwa Year 8. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Nishiki Market—with nearby sweets shops and cafes scattered around. Unfortunately, many stores seemed closed on New Year's Day itself. Surprisingly enough though, we couldn't hear any temple bells ringing at midnight but managed to sleep soundly right after welcoming the new year. While Kyoto has many hotels available, staying at a ryokan truly offers an exceptional experience!

The staff’s heartfelt hospitality. An Onsen that hot-spring lovers can’t resist (the water seems highly therapeutic, but you can’t stay in too long—so even during Golden Week, I was able to enjoy it almost privately). Above all, the food was incredibly delicious—wonderful dishes that felt nourishing and full of nature’s blessings! I’d love to come back just to eat those amazing soba noodles again. (I can’t forget how delicious the warm dipping broth with rich chicken stock was.)

Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious—we were very satisfied. The bath could also be used privately if the timing worked out, allowing us to relax in comfort. In addition, the owner and hostess were wonderful people, and their warm hospitality truly put us at ease.

It’s right next to Ageki Station on the Sangi Railway Hokusei Line—just steps after you get off. There’s also a convenience store beside the station. This time, three of us (a family) stayed here. The room size felt just right for two adults. Most amenities are provided. There are also outdoor hammocks and a table with chairs, which looked useful, but unfortunately it rained during our stay and the wooden deck was soaked, so we didn’t use them. Cooking in the in-room kitchen is basically limited to simple microwave meals. There are cups, but no plates. The toilet and shower area were very clean. The service was excellent—the front desk staff were very kind. Also, in the early morning there is a time-limited sauna area at Ageki Onsen that is opened exclusively for guests. Even if you don’t use the sauna, you can relax in the lounge while enjoying locally produced tea, which was nice. Just one thing: the main bath closes at 21:00 and reopens at 10:00 the next morning, and guests can only use it during those same hours, which is a bit inconvenient. Ageki Onsen has various facilities and seems like a place where you could spend time slowly and comfortably, so next time I’d like to set aside about half a day to enjoy it as well.

I love Onsen Ryokan and stay at Onsen Accommodation around the country, and this one was an especially great find. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the atmosphere lifted my spirits, and every dish was delicious and felt carefully prepared. The staff were also very friendly and created a comfortable, welcoming space. A private bath isn’t essential, but I’d love to use it if available—so I hope it can be repaired.

The Hotel’s exterior feels a bit dated, but everything inside was simply wonderful. The moment we entered the Room, the futons were already laid out, and our kids—tired from traveling by car—immediately dove in and happily rolled around. (It seems this is done to reduce the number of times staff enter the Room.) The meals were delicious with just the right portions, and all of the staff were kind and courteous. There were also plenty of family-friendly activities such as a festival-style kids’ event and a stamp rally, pool float rentals, free darts and table tennis, fireworks, and above all, the open-air bath was incredibly relaxing—we went both at night and in the morning and felt refreshed in both body and mind. One small note: there was a sauna set up by the open-air bath; I tried it, but the bench was too hot to sit on, so I wish I had placed a towel down. The kids were very satisfied too—since we stayed only one night this time, they liked it so much they said they want to stay two nights next time. They also love the otter pouch we won from the crane game. We had plenty of time to enjoy the pool as well—it was truly a fun stay at a Hotel where you can feel thoughtful attention throughout. I had pain in my shoulders and lower back, and even daily life felt difficult—I was extremely stressed. The Facility feels a bit old, which can’t really be helped, but the Onsen was excellent. The baths were never crowded, and I didn’t run into other guests at all. I’d like to stay again, though it may be hard to get a Reservation.

It was great! The rice in the Japanese meal was incredibly delicious—absolutely the best. I’d love to know what variety of rice it was!!!

The room seemed to have been newly expanded, making it very spacious and clean. The accommodation staff were very kind and friendly. I was also happy that they had turned on the air conditioning in the room before check-in! Next time, I would love to try the meals as well. This was a ryokan I definitely want to visit again!

It was a calm and relaxing Ryokan with excellent cuisine. The bath was reservation-based with designated times, but I could enjoy it at my own pace. The room accommodated two people in a 6-tatami space. It was clean, including the washroom and toilet. The meals were carefully prepared, and the variety offered for this holiday's Accommodation Fee was truly impressive. The freshly fried tempura (pufferfish) was exceptionally delicious, and even dessert was included. Seasonal touches like persimmon-shaped chopstick rests, holders, and decorative paper reflected the thoughtful hospitality of the accommodation. I was very satisfied overall. Breakfast was also very delicious, with coffee kept warm in a pot after the meal. Thank you very much! If given another opportunity, I would love to stay here again!

The building felt a bit old, but it was very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, and I would love to stay here again.
