We stayed here as a couple during a trip to Lake Biwa on the Saturday of a three-day weekend. Although it was very affordable, the room was spacious, and we had a relaxing time. The large public bath was designated for men that day, but since we were able to make a reservation, we enjoyed it as a private bath and had an incredibly luxurious experience. There are places nearby within walking distance for dining and shopping, which made our stay even more satisfying! Above all, the seasoning of the side dishes and miso soup at breakfast was absolutely delicious—it was perfect! The foreign staff at reception kindly answered my questions with great effort and provided excellent service. I would love to stay here again for another budget-friendly trip! Thank you very much.

This riverside Hotel offers an open, spacious view from the windows. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, with wonderful smiles. Although the Facility is a bit old, it was clean and I had no issues during my stay. There were manga and complimentary drinks in the lobby. There was an ice machine on the 4th floor, which I was able to use.

I stayed here while snow was gently falling. It was a huge help that they stored my luggage both before and after check-in. I stayed in Room 203. It’s a room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The room was very spacious, with a latest-model TV, a ReFa showerhead, a wide vanity, and a bathtub with a washing area. The toilet was fully automatic as well—everything was excellent. All amenities were MIKIMOTO. My hair usually feels rough when I use Hotel shampoo, but at this Accommodation it stayed smooth and silky. There is an guests-only lounge, and it was a lovely service that coffee, tea, and more were available freely until midnight. I also appreciated being able to take drinks back to my Room. I had coffee at check-in, and it matched my taste perfectly—really delicious. The breakfast I had been looking forward to was 100/100. I’ve eaten at luxury Hotels before, but this may have been the best I’ve ever had. Everything was wonderful, but what especially stood out were the yuzu-scented okara (unohana), fu dengaku, the white-dashi miso soup, and the dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet). When I mentioned it was my birthday this time, they decorated the guest room beautifully and even offered matcha—such thoughtful hospitality. All staff members were incredibly kind, with such a warm and homey atmosphere that made it easy to talk to them. Watching how warmly they treated other guests also made me feel happy. I think this is the best Accommodation—one that welcomes you warmly whether it’s for a special occasion or not. Next time I visit, I’ll come specifically to enjoy an unhurried Hotel stay. The interior has been renovated and is clean. Two disappointing points: There is no refrigerator. It gets cold at night, so we left items by the window to keep them chilled. The toilet does not have a bidet function. If these two points are improved, it would be great. The bath can fit four people, but the water was lukewarm, so we went to soak in Owani Onsen every day.

During Golden Week, Ryokan prices tend to rise, but recently many have been priced higher than expected. However, the pricing at this Ryokan felt reasonable. It wasn't too cheap or too expensive—just the right amount to feel satisfied. The meals were reasonably delicious, and the bath temperature was perfect. However, the bath area was a bit small, so it felt like you might leave if someone else came in. Overall though, I really appreciated how this Ryokan maintained its quality without setting overly high prices in today's market.

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days with No Meals Included for a hot-spring therapy visit. I had read in advance that there are no restaurants nearby and that I would need to stock up, so I thought buying about two days’ worth would be enough since there is a roadside station. However, within a 30-minute drive there were no drink vending machines, and the roadside station stops serving food around 2 or 3 p.m. I recommend choosing a plan with breakfast and dinner rather than No Meals Included. The website also said lunch was available with a Reservation and even listed a menu, but in reality it was chef’s choice. The Room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Some staff members were foreigners, but everyone was friendly and helpful. Mornings and evenings were pleasantly cool, but during this year’s extreme heat it felt a bit hot without air conditioning during the day. The hot spring water was slightly too hot for me (I prefer lukewarm baths), so I couldn’t soak for long, but my nerve pain and muscle pain improved. Two nights with breakfast and dinner would be fine, but I think staying 5 or 6 nights for hot-spring therapy would be tough.

The building is old, but the reception service was excellent and satisfying. The ramen in the dining hall was also delicious. The bath had a pool, which felt unusual, but I enjoyed swimming. It would have been nice to have disposable toothbrushes available. Since it was a weekday, there were few people, which was great.

I’ve been staying here frequently lately, and the other day I had to extend my stay at short notice due to scheduling. The front desk staff handled it smoothly, and I had a wonderful time. I’d like to stay here again in the future.

We were able to relax and unwind at a leisurely pace. Dinner was just as rumored and absolutely delicious. Thank you very much.

The building and Room have a retro Showa-era feel, but the Room was well cleaned and felt very tidy. I made a Reservation expecting good meals, and there were many dishes—every one was delicious. It exceeded my expectations. The children’s meal also had many kid-friendly options, and my child was happy. The staff were very helpful, and I’d like to stay here again when I’m in the area.

The Room, bathroom, bed, and TV are all spacious, creating an amazing sense of openness! It’s a short walk from the airport, but when I mentioned I had an early morning, they kindly accommodated my breakfast time. I was very satisfied and would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

I want to eat Hida beef! I want to enjoy sake while watching the snow! I want to relax in an onsen! All my wishes came true. I was satisfied with everything: the food, customer service, onsen, overall cleanliness of the property, and the warm atmosphere. I will use it again.

The house, nestled in the forest, was quiet and perfect for a restful retreat. The robatayaki and wild boar hot pot were also exceptionally delicious.

There is a wide variety of breakfast options, and I ended up eating too much with refills. The staff, especially the dining hall staff, greeted us with warm smiles, which made the experience very pleasant. I would love to stay here again.

The traditional farmhouse has been beautifully renovated—it was truly lovely, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. For dinner by the irori hearth, the staff grilled skewers for us, and we left completely satisfied. Everyone on the team was kind and listened attentively, and my elderly father seemed to have a great time as well. Thank you so much for everything; it’s a place we would definitely love to visit again.

Spend time in the panoramic bath while gazing at the stars, then wake up refreshed with a morning soak as you look out toward Mt. Aso glowing in the sunrise before heading to breakfast. I was impressed by the gentle, delicious Nankan-age in the miso soup, asked where to buy it, and purchased some to take home. The tofu was also handmade by the Hotel, and I felt satisfied and energized from the morning.

This charming Ryokan is perfect for a relaxing stay, offering Onsen-equipped rooms where you can unwind all day. Ideal for a Multiple Night Stay, it allows you to fully enjoy the serene atmosphere. The meals are plentiful and satisfying, even for those with smaller appetites like my daughter and me. Complimentary beer and boiled eggs are available at the gazebo, adding to the delightful experience. What truly stands out is the warm hospitality of all staff members, from young male staff to new female staff, making every interaction soothing from check-in onwards. Located within walking distance of Yufuin's Yunotsubo Kaido Street, this Ryokan is highly recommended if you want to explore Yufuin while enjoying exceptional service and comfort.

We stayed in Cottage Building B. There isn’t a private dog run, but there’s a large dog run right in front, which was actually better for our dog. Our first time trying the pool took about 20 minutes for our dog to get used to the water, but then he paddled desperately toward the edge—our bath-hating pup managed to swim 1 meter. At night, the stars were incredibly beautiful and we could see the Milky Way! It said “unit bath,” but it’s a shower. With four people, laying out the futons was a bit of work, but it was enough for us. It was a relaxing, dog-first vacation. Thank you very much.

It’s right next to Ageki Station on the Sangi Railway Hokusei Line—just steps after you get off. There’s also a convenience store beside the station. This time, three of us (a family) stayed here. The room size felt just right for two adults. Most amenities are provided. There are also outdoor hammocks and a table with chairs, which looked useful, but unfortunately it rained during our stay and the wooden deck was soaked, so we didn’t use them. Cooking in the in-room kitchen is basically limited to simple microwave meals. There are cups, but no plates. The toilet and shower area were very clean. The service was excellent—the front desk staff were very kind. Also, in the early morning there is a time-limited sauna area at Ageki Onsen that is opened exclusively for guests. Even if you don’t use the sauna, you can relax in the lounge while enjoying locally produced tea, which was nice. Just one thing: the main bath closes at 21:00 and reopens at 10:00 the next morning, and guests can only use it during those same hours, which is a bit inconvenient. Ageki Onsen has various facilities and seems like a place where you could spend time slowly and comfortably, so next time I’d like to set aside about half a day to enjoy it as well.
