We stayed with friends and their families, bringing along five children aged 3 and 4. The accommodation arranged for us to stay in the same building as our friends' families, allowing us to dine together within the same space. This setup made it comfortable for both the children and adults without worrying about other guests. The room was spacious enough, and although the building was old, areas like the toilets were well-maintained and clean, ensuring a pleasant stay. The meals were delicious with generous portions. We would love to stay here again when visiting nearby with family!

I have stayed at several "APA Hotels" across the whole country, and this one had a relatively spacious Room. The large TV was also a nice touch. However, it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't store my suitcase under the bed. It felt like the Hotel was repurposed from an existing building, with some areas renovated and others not fully updated. As with many renovations, the bathroom and odors had a slightly dated feel to them. The new annex area had washing machines, which were very convenient; however, since they were accessible without Room keys, I wondered if "anyone could take items?" It might be safer if each washing machine and dryer had individual locks or passcodes (though this isn't specific to APA Hotels but just something I noticed).

The Room was lovely, and the view was spectacular. I prefer a clean, uncluttered Room, so this is the best Hotel I have stayed at so far. If I had to mention one thing, as others have noted, the shower water pressure was a bit weak, which was slightly disappointing; otherwise, it is an excellent Hotel with nothing to complain about. I would love to stay again.

For dinner, my spouse and I ordered shabu-shabu and a Hida beef steak, and both were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The birthday surprise plate was adorable, and I got to celebrate my birthday for the first time in a while. The Onsen left my skin feeling silky smooth. For breakfast, the hoba miso had a pleasant sweetness and was so tasty that I ended up eating too much rice. Thank you for the wonderful meals and the happy time.

The building is old, but the Room was spacious and clean. The Onsen is in the attached health spa, but it was fine. Breakfast was also sufficient for 500 yen. In any case, it offers great value for money, and at this price I can be satisfied. I would like to stay again. It is more than adequate as a liaison hotel.

The front desk staff were helpful, and the property was clean.

We were welcomed very warmly. The nutritious, hearty meal (the nikujaga was delicious!) soothed our travel fatigue.

The reason for choosing Tsuruyaryokan from among several properties was that the room had an open-air bath and it was right in front of the approach. My honest impression after actually staying there was that it was very good. The male staff who guided us were really pleasant and kind. Also, the food was very delicious, with a quantity so large that we couldn't finish it, which left us very satisfied. If I have the opportunity to visit again, I would definitely like to use your property.

We stayed for two nights with our dog. The treats, nearby walking routes, and a dog bed were all well provided. We had a very comfortable stay. The only thing we noticed was road noise. The Accommodation is in a quiet residential area, but because the bedroom faces the street, we could hear passing cars at night and woke up several times. The built-in hinoki bath was wonderful with soft water, but Gokoyu, a 5-minute walk away, was excellent. Thank you very much.

We stayed at UKAN on the BBQ course Plan. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but they let us park from around 2:00 PM, so we could play in the sea right in front. There is a swimming beach next to the Accommodation, and it felt like it continued all the way to the front of where we stayed. It seemed safe to swim; there were quite a few people at the main beach, but right in front was quiet and mostly just for guests. The slope from sand to water is a bit steep, so small children may need extra attention, but it’s still fine to enjoy. There’s a breakwater at the edge of the swimming area where you can fish. That was our main purpose this time, and we were happy we got to enjoy fishing. The Room was generally clean. There was a stain left by previous guests that seemed to be removed around check-in time. We appreciated their effort to keep things clean, though it would have been even better if it had been finished before check-in. For the BBQ, the portions looked small based on how they were plated, so we went out to buy extra food at a convenience store—but in the end it was enough. Breakfast might feel a little light. The BBQ Facility includes a grill and table and is basically sufficient, but better lighting, table settings, and an improved BBQ area layout would likely increase satisfaction. As for insects, since it’s between mountains and the sea, I think it can’t really be helped. If you keep everything closed they generally don’t come in. However, because you go back and forth between the Room during BBQ time, some inevitably got inside. If insect control could be improved further, it would feel more reassuring. (I’m not too bothered by bugs, but my wife felt a bit uneasy.) The air conditioning in the Room was comfortable, but there was an odor in the washroom—maybe humidity or drainage—that bothered me. Overall we were satisfied despite these points. We’d like to stay again soon.

Simple and reasonably priced.

Being able to enjoy so many iwana dishes served at the table was truly appreciated! I was tired of buffets, so I really enjoyed the grilled iwana, iwana sushi, and sashimi—plenty of iwana in every form. I didn’t expect to have miso dengaku-style grilled iwana for dinner the next day as well, and it was delicious—I was so happy! The Onsen also left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. The indoor bath and the semi-circular open-air bath were both wonderful. All of the staff seemed to get along well and were kind and helpful, which made me feel at ease. The shop also had tasty items like soba noodles, sweets, and snacks (such as hoya), so I was happy to be able to buy souvenirs too. Thank you very much for taking care of us! I’ll definitely come back for the iwana料理 and Onsen again. Since it’s located up in the mountains, a Multiple Night Stay is recommended for anyone who wants to relax slowly in peace and quiet.

The room is not spacious, but it is just right for use with No Meals Included, and the bathtub is not cramped even for two people. It might be deep for children, but I think it's not a problem if you adjust the amount. It was a cold day, and I turned on the floor heating in the morning, but the alarm kept ringing, and I ended up having to wait for the staff to come; it would have been nice to have a word. However, I was very satisfied. There were several records of foreign guests on the intercom, so it might be helpful to have clearer instructions on how to use the key at the entrance!

The facilities felt a bit dated, as expected from a public accommodation. The room was a combination of Japanese and Western styles. While the Japanese-style side showed some signs of aging, the Western-style side seemed to have been renovated and was excellent. Although our room did not have a private bath, the large communal bath was conveniently close (it seems they accommodated our request for proximity due to my mother’s mobility issues). The room's location near both the dining area and the bath on the first floor was very convenient. The toilet and washroom were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The communal bath was also wonderful. The indoor bath had separate areas for washing and soaking, providing a peaceful experience when in the tub. The outdoor bath offered stunning views of autumn-colored mountains while listening to the gentle sound of a nearby stream—an exceptional experience available even late at night. Compared to the indoor baths, the outdoor baths were slightly cooler, perhaps designed for longer soaks. Above all else, however, it was the food that stood out as extraordinary! Despite jokingly mentioning that Gunma only has mushrooms, miso paste, and wild boar pork ("Inobuta"), these ingredients were crafted into delicious dishes with great care and creativity. The portions were generous; unfortunately, my elderly mother and wife couldn’t finish their meals entirely. The dishes made abundant use of fragrant mushrooms with mild yet flavorful seasoning—truly delightful! Miso paste seemed to be a local specialty here; its rich aroma enhanced various dishes beautifully. And then there’s sake! With around 40 varieties exclusively from Gunma breweries (if I recall correctly), choosing one can be overwhelming at first glance! We opted for their tasting set featuring five types (approximately 30ml each) priced at ¥1,500—and every single one tasted distinctively delicious! Individual glasses ranged between ¥600–¥800 per serving (about 180ml), making it hard not to deliberate over what next drink should follow! I particularly enjoyed "Hiraijo," while my wife preferred "Akagiyama," so we ordered another glass accordingly based on her choice afterward. A staff member who recommended these selections had extensive knowledge about sake which made conversations engaging throughout dinner service too! It’s no surprise this accommodation attracts many repeat visitors—it truly deserves such loyalty given how memorable our stay turned out overall. Thank you sincerely for providing us such an incredible travel experience!

The breakfast was top-notch in both quality and quantity. The 3rd-floor guest-only bath was also excellent. It felt more relaxing than the 1st-floor bath.

When I made a same-day accommodation reservation and set the check-in time for 11:00 PM, I called as I was likely to be about an hour late, and the response was excellent. Additionally, since my check-in was late, they extended the usual check-out time by an hour (check-out at 11:00 AM), allowing me to relax. I feel like I might stay here again next time. I also used APA Hotel during a business trip to Toyama, and they provided similar service. The room I stayed in seemed to be a corner room, and since the toilet/bathroom door opened to the left, it might have been easier if it opened to the right.

Weekday stay for a family of four in two rooms. The room was spacious and clean for two people. Dinner was luxurious, with enough sashimi to fill you up—highly recommended for seafood lovers. Other dishes like sukiyaki, soup, and chawanmushi were also very delicious. The staff provided friendly and attentive service with smiles, though having a menu would have been nice. For the bath, caution is needed as the large public bath's tub can be slippery. The outdoor bath was slightly lukewarm. Access to the rooftop open-air bath requires calling the front desk beforehand, so it’s best to make an early reservation as late-night or early-morning visits might inconvenience the staff (I regret not asking if multiple time slots could be reserved). However, if it's clear, you can enjoy stunning views of sunsets or starry skies from there—it’s refreshing! I’d love to stay again if I get another chance. Thank you!

This was my first time using this service. The reception staff were kind and provided clear explanations. Although I believe the staff member was new, they were polite and courteous, making my stay pleasant. The Room was clean, and the breakfast was great. I would consider staying here again if I have the chance.
