Although it was a self-service stay in a traditional hot-spring therapy style, the host/manager provided very courteous service and clear explanations, so I felt at ease throughout my stay. In the Room, there was what seemed to be a protective mat for placing luggage (likely to prevent dirt from suitcase wheels), and an extension cord was thoughtfully placed by the bedside—small touches that really impressed me. The yukata selection included many sizes, so each of us could choose one that fit perfectly. I booked a no-meals Plan, but I had no dinner plans, and I was told nearby restaurants could deliver to the Room. Since it was hot outside and I didn’t feel like going out to eat, I really appreciated that (haha). The bath was nicely hot and felt great. I think it helped boost my immunity. Because of the timing, I didn’t run into other guests, so I could bathe comfortably without worrying about anything. Despite the reasonable rate, I truly felt their wholehearted hospitality and was very satisfied. I’d love to stay again next time.

A stunning environment with remarkable architecture. Arriving early comes with a special privilege for the first guest of the day, as a charming male staff member guided us through an empty corridor, marking the beginning of a retreat that feels like floating in the forest. The meals were exceptional and truly moving. However, because this is such a perfect retreat accommodation, certain details stood out as unusual: The white chrysanthemums displayed at the restroom sink had turned brown and wilted, and despite being the first to use it that day, there was a mix of hair clumps and dust in one corner of the restroom stall. The flowers remained unchanged for two days, catching my eye multiple times—leaving me feeling disheartened on six occasions. While I didn’t notice any trash elsewhere during my stay, seeing those flowers untouched made me wonder about how cleaning by staff is managed here. Petals are generously used in your beautiful dishes; they were delightful to enjoy and deeply appreciated. However, it left an impression that perhaps no one among your staff noticed or cared for those small chrysanthemums at handwashing areas. I sincerely hope this can be improved upon—and I look forward to visiting again!

This was my first time staying at a whole-house Hotel, and the staff were very kind—the services were excellent. I was also very satisfied with the handwritten letter and the spacious Room.\nHowever, while I was in the bathroom, a foreigner repeatedly tried to force open the front door (security), rattling it over and over. It was frightening to have someone loitering around the entrance, and their behavior was so scary that I had to go through the trouble of chasing them away.\nIt seems they had mistaken the location, but I couldn’t even use the bathroom in peace. At check-in, I would like Hotel staff to always accompany guests and guide them to the house.

We were welcomed very warmly. The nutritious, hearty meal (the nikujaga was delicious!) soothed our travel fatigue.

I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance. I usually stay at business hotels such as APA or Toyoko, and I’ve preferred APA. This time, since there were no major business hotels near my destination, I decided to stay here. First of all, having a large public bath meant I could stretch out in a big tub after work, and it was surprisingly comfortable to wake up the next day without any lingering fatigue. I also booked the breakfast set Plan, and compared with other business hotels, it was worlds apart—I was able to enjoy an elegant breakfast. (Thanks to that, I ate a little too much.) From unlimited dried fish to many dishes featuring local seafood, along with delicious rice, it was extremely satisfying. The building and room were very clean overall. If I had to mention one downside, the surrounding area is residential, so you’ll need a car to get to convenience stores or restaurants.

This was our second visit to this glamping site. Being able to enjoy glamping with no preparation and light luggage is a huge plus for those without camping experience, and the Facility felt clean overall, making it comfortable and reassuring for everyone from children to adults. Each Room dome has its own concept; the color schemes were beautiful and the amenities were well equipped. There were a mini fridge, electric kettle, instant coffee/tea/green tea, air conditioning/heating, plug-in insect repellent, a Bluetooth speaker, outlets with USB ports, blankets, a hanging rack, an external toilet & shower room (strong water pressure, adjustable temperature settings, and a washlet toilet), as well as a BBQ space. We chose the Plan with dinner and breakfast included. Everything was extremely delicious—and there was more than enough food. At night (depending on the weather) there was also a campfire option, which really added to the camping atmosphere. For future improvements, I’d love to see more activity options such as bamboo dragonfly toys or cup-making using bamboo; an athletic play area; seasonal events like fireworks or water-gun games; snowball fights or roasted sweet potatoes; or hands-on experiences like working in nearby rice fields or vegetable gardens. There is also a simple lookout platform in the bamboo grove that I don’t think was there last year. If the weather and timing are right, you can apparently see the ocean, townscape, and sunset from there. Outdoor voices tend to carry slightly into the domes, so I felt guests may need to be mindful of each other at night. The free-drink area was relatively close by and convenient to use. The beach is nearby as well—an ideal place if you simply want to relax. They also offered free rentals such as badminton sets and board/card games. We would love to come again.

We were satisfied with the meals, the Onsen, and the service. We were clearly informed that a group would be arriving later, which helped us plan ahead—so we could use the bath while it was quiet and manage accordingly.

The Room was “Mangetsu.” There are four Rooms, with over 20 tatami mats across the main tatami area and the bedroom. With a total of over 97 m², it felt like a truly luxurious space. The furnishings and Room coordination were wonderful. The hinoki bath was very spacious, and because the added hot water was quite hot, we could soak without it cooling down. In the garden, there was even a discreet box with straw sandals inside, and there was an annex that remained closed—both adding to the atmosphere. Service: The front desk staff were kind. They accommodated two changes to our dinner plans. It was also fun hearing local stories. Meals: Breakfast was delicious. Dinner was at a local sushi restaurant. The grilled isaki (grunt fish) was plump and tasty, enjoyed together with its crispy skin. The sushi portions were very generous as well. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have liked a few more vegetable dishes.

The check-in service was courteous and attentive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of well-thought-out menu options.

We stayed here for a family trip. The parking space was spacious, the Room was new, and there was no unpleasant detergent smell typical of Business Hotels, making our stay comfortable. The sink could have been a bit larger to accommodate toiletries for two people, but it was within an acceptable range. We didn't use the coffee area on the first floor, but it seemed convenient when bringing in breakfast. This Hotel is recommended for trips exploring places like Nikko by rental car.

I revisited this accommodation early because I had such a great experience last month. Although the Awazu Kaiseki did not include tempura, the delicious appetizers and eight kinds of fresh sashimi made the sake taste even better. By the time I finished the pork shabu-shabu and chawanmushi, I was already full, but the seasoned rice was so delicious that I ended up overeating. For breakfast, they served "Hyakumangoku" brand rice, which is often found in ryokan in Ishikawa Prefecture. However, their cooking method was exceptional, making it more delicious than any other ryokan I've stayed at before. While abalone, nodoguro fish, and Noto beef are available as additional orders, even without them, their delicately flavored dishes were more than satisfying. The bathwater quality was gentle on my sensitive skin and allowed me to soak for long periods without feeling overheated. The therapeutic waterfall shower relieved pain in my shoulders, neck, and back when applied to those areas—I even thought about saving money to come here for a week-long hot spring retreat someday! The room had been recently renovated; it was impeccably clean with a large LCD TV for added comfort. However, since we arrived early perhaps due to timing issues—the air conditioning wasn't turned on upon arrival during wintertime—it felt cold initially; preheating would have been appreciated during colder months like these! Lastly but importantly: homemade pudding by Okami (the hostess) tasted amazing too—overall providing excellent value exceeding expectations from this accommodation!

Our stay coincided with the traditional event "Owatari" in Shinojima. At check-in, we were informed that there would be a time when the entire island turns off its lights to align with the gods' procession. For about 20 minutes during dinner, the lights went out, and we enjoyed our meal using the provided candlelight and our phone lights. Although it was surprising at first, it turned out to be a rare and enjoyable experience. As mentioned in reviews, the food was delicious, and the facility was impeccably clean. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

From the hostess’s warm welcome to the stunning third-floor Room and terrace with exceptional views. The Room has windows on three sides. Open the door and you’re greeted by a view of Cape Shionomisaki. A terrace where you can enjoy both sunset and sunrise. Every dish was delicious—we ordered two servings each of the meat course and the fish course, and ended up overeating. I was a bit surprised that access to the Room was via an outdoor staircase I hadn’t expected, but once you come down the stairs, Cape Shionomisaki is right in front of you. If it had been raining, getting around might have been tough, but luckily the rain from the previous day had cleared, temperatures rose, and my mood soared too. The bath is not an Onsen, but while it shows its age, it was clean and felt well maintained. Another thing I loved was the “duvet cover.” It felt so nice that I want to find one for home—I wish I’d asked what brand it was. The Room itself was so comfortable, and it was great to just zone out while gently swaying in the hammock.

This is a private rental of a renovated traditional house, very spacious, and overall we had a comfortable stay. The bedroom was cozy, and the bathroom and vanity area were especially large, which made it convenient for two people to get ready at the same time. The lighting was bright and easy to use, insect control indoors was well handled, and we were able to use the Facility without any issues. When we consulted in advance about the check-in time, they kindly accommodated an earlier check-in, which was very helpful. There is also Shuttle Service available, making transportation very convenient. On the other hand, there are two points we would be happy to see improved. First is the height of some beams. For someone around 175 cm tall, a beam sits just above eye level, making it easy to miss—I hit my head several times. Since I hit it quite hard once, for safety it would be reassuring to have warning stickers or signs. Second, in the first-floor bedroom we could hear some road noise from passing cars at night. The second floor was relatively quiet, so those who are sensitive to noise may prefer sleeping upstairs. Other than that, everything was very comfortable and we enjoyed the unique atmosphere of a traditional house.

I stayed in a four-person Room with my mother, who uses a wheelchair. All the staff were very kind and attentive, and we felt truly comfortable throughout our stay. The Room had four beds plus an extra bed, as well as a sofa and table, yet it was still spacious enough for a wheelchair to move around easily. If I had one request, it would be for the step into the toilet to be a little lower. There were six private baths. Reservations are not available, but we were able to use them anytime without having to wait. The barrier-free bath allowed my mother to enter the changing area in her wheelchair, and the toilet was also barrier-free, which was very helpful. Above all, seeing how moved she was to enjoy an Onsen again after so long made me truly glad we chose this Accommodation. We also enjoyed a filling Japanese breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. If we have the chance to visit again, this is definitely an Accommodation I would love to stay at. Thank you very much!

This was my first stay. Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of side dishes and generous portions, which was great. The meat in particular was delicious. From the Room, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan. The bath is not an Onsen, but it is spacious, and morning bathing is also available. It was disappointing that the Accommodation did not have a refrigerator and only provided 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner.

My children had a match in Gifu City, so we arrived the day before and stayed at this Hotel. We were able to stay at a great price thanks to a time sale. Great value Hotel! The female staff member was also very lovely, and her polite service and thoughtful care were much appreciated. The bath was the in-Room bath with a deep-style tub; when you turn on the hot water, it comes out extremely hot! You’ll need to adjust it carefully with cold water—please be careful. The amenities were well stocked, but please bring your own phone charging cable. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi connection was a bit weak, but overall it was a fulfilling and great-value one-night stay.

It was very close to the entrance of Akame 48 Waterfalls, making it extremely convenient for walking and exploring. The building is old, but the furniture and interior are refined and do not feel rustic. The food was also delicious. We went by car, and there is a steep slope in front of the Accommodation, so it’s best to drive carefully there. Some parts of the road on the way are narrow, but they are well maintained, so as long as you watch out for oncoming cars, there should be no problem.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of three nights, and I was very satisfied that you prepared a different dinner menu each day. You also served trout-based dishes as the main course, and I really enjoyed the drinks as well. In addition, I was able to park my motorcycle under a roof, so even on the night the typhoon passed through, I felt at ease knowing it wouldn’t get wet in the rain. When the weather wasn’t good, I returned to the Accommodation early and enjoyed trout fishing at the fishing pond. You even cooked the trout I caught as salt-grilled fish and fried fish to enjoy with drinks after dinner—this trip truly let me fully enjoy Nagano. I would love to stay again if I have another opportunity.
