We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

This was my long-admired Accommodation, and my first visit. I was truly able to relax in a space where all I could see from the Room was greenery, and all I could hear were the calls of cicadas. The two large public baths had slightly different temperatures between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, so even I, who am not fond of very hot water, could choose what suited me. The meals also featured seasonal ingredients beautifully and were absolutely delicious. I sincerely appreciate the staff’s thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality. I would love to return in a different season.

It was a wonderful Hotel! We made a Reservation for two Rooms. Throughout our stay, we truly felt the hospitality—our Rooms were arranged close to each other, and the luggage we had sent ahead was placed in our Room in advance. The restaurant dinner we booked through the lounge was delicious and an excellent value, and the morning buffet was great as well—the sakura shrimp was especially tasty. It’s not an easy place for us to visit since we live far away, but we would love to stay again.

This was our second stay, and even though we arrived nearly two hours later than planned, thank you very much for welcoming us so kindly. Both the Room and the bath were very clean. We were a bit concerned about mosquitoes given the season, but effective measures with a wonderful fragrance were in place, so we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. The sound system in the loft theater room was excellent—it truly felt like being in a movie theater. We were also shown to a private dining room, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the delicious food at our own pace, almost like in-Room dining. All of the staff were courteous from start to finish, and we had a truly wonderful time. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

It’s a 1 hour 45 minute trip from the station, and since you can’t miss the one bus, getting there is a bit nerve-racking.\nBut the hot springs are excellent, the food is excellent—everything is top-notch!\nThere are five private baths where you can enjoy free-flowing alkaline simple sulfur Onsen that feels like a beauty serum.\nAnd the cuisine is incredible. Using Shizuoka-certified ingredients, the pairings and cooking methods are creatively arranged, with great care taken so you can enjoy the presentation and textures as well.\nThere are also several carefully selected types of sake to match the dishes—fine dining and Onsen indulgence in the middle of the mountains!\nThank you very much.

Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality during our three-day, two-night stay. Every dish made with local ingredients was deeply flavorful, and the free-flowing natural hot spring water was so soothing it felt as if both body and mind were gently unwinding—my spouse and I were truly refreshed. On the second day, we enjoyed a full round at a golf club near the Accommodation. Although it was extremely hot, the Onsen we had upon returning eased our fatigue, and once again we were reminded of how wonderful BeniyA’s hot spring water is. Also, whenever we encountered your warm smiles and greetings—especially from the attendant in charge of us—we felt at ease. Even a brief word when passing in the hallway showed such thoughtfulness, and we are sincerely grateful that we could spend our entire stay so comfortably. In addition, hearing from the proprietress about the kitchen knives left a strong impression on us—particularly as it came just after seeing news about a female figure skater receiving Japan’s People’s Honour Award. On our way to the large public bath, we caught a glimpse of the kitchen area and felt anew that these knives support your delicious cuisine every day. This trip became a cherished memory for us as a couple. We would love to visit again in another season—and next time, we hope to enjoy winter crab delicacies.

I came to Nara for the first time with my mother because we wanted to see Nara Park and the deer. We chose this Ryokan because it is close to Nara Park and has an in-room Onsen. I love traveling both in Japan and abroad, and when traveling domestically, I enjoy staying at Onsen Ryokan and wonderful Hotels. I have visited many places, but Fufu Nara was truly outstanding. Sightseeing was fun as well—we explored more than just the deer—and I would definitely like to visit Nara again, and return to Fufu Nara too. The staff’s hospitality was excellent; everyone was incredibly kind. The room and the Onsen were very clean and perfect. All of the food was delicious. We will be back.

The three of us—my 86-year-old father, my brother, and I—stayed here. When I mentioned during the Reservation that my father is elderly, they kindly upgraded us on the day to a Room with a private indoor Onsen bath fed directly from the source. My father was delighted and said he could truly relax and enjoy the Onsen. Everyone at the Ryokan, starting with the proprietress, was very kind. Their service was warm yet respectfully unobtrusive, which we really appreciated. Our Room was a traditional-style Japanese-Western suite inspired by an old farmhouse; it was spacious and luxurious, and we couldn’t help but admire the impressive beams. We were shown to a private dining room for our meal, which we had been looking forward to. The dishes were served at our pace, allowing us to savor delicious food and drinks in complete comfort. It was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return again after quite some time away. Thank you so much to the proprietress and all staff for your exceptional hospitality!

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a comfortable pace. It was quiet and spotless throughout, and the Onsen was incredibly open and wonderful. Every meal was deeply delicious. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. I feel as if both my body and mind have been refreshed. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced it is. Thank you very much. I will definitely return.

This was our first stay at Regina, and the building had a luxurious feel. We were satisfied with everything—service, Facility, and meals—and had a comfortable stay. It is also very conveniently located, close to Kumoba Pond and the town center. Although we suddenly couldn’t bring our dog this time, we would definitely like to visit again with our dog next time.

We stay here every year, and since the rebranding and reopening, both the cuisine and the service have been taken to an even higher level—making for a truly satisfying stay. I was genuinely impressed by the chef’s careful selection of ingredients and the time and effort put into each dish. Even breakfast featured thoughtfully prepared items, and our food-loving family was more than satisfied. Being able to see the chef at the end of the meal and exchange a few words made dining even more special. The course itself reflected the chef’s warm personality, which makes us look forward to our next visit. We would love to return in a different season. This was my first stay at Fufu Karuizawa Shoyo no Mori. Last year, I stayed at Fufu Karuizawa Yoko no Kaze and was very satisfied, so this year I chose Shoyo no Mori. The property has a calm atmosphere, with a relaxing lobby lounge and courtyard. The Room was spacious, and the Onsen was wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I would definitely like to stay again.

From July 20, we stayed for two nights again. We traveled by train with two dogs. We’ve gotten completely used to it now, and that’s all thanks to the warmth and kindness of everyone at the Ryokan. I couldn’t make it without the Shuttle Service from the station. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful Shuttle Service. The meals reflected the season, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I rated the bath 4 stars because the stairs to and from the bath, and the airflow around that area, felt a bit uncomfortable for this time of year. The bath temperature was perfect for me. Thank you so much to all the staff for your kindness. We’ll be back again.

I stayed for one night on a weekday in July, traveling solo. The view from the Room balcony was incredible. While I was in the Room, I spent almost all my time on the balcony except when sleeping. Watching the forest right in front of me and listening to the rushing sound of the Tama River flowing below helped me forget past unpleasant memories and worries about the future, leaving my mind completely clear. Even after it got pitch-dark at night, I kept zoning out on the balcony until just before going to bed. Thanks to that, I felt truly refreshed and centered. Every part of the Room was spotless and sparkling clean, and I was impressed that paper towels were provided both at the washbasin area and in the toilet. All meals were delicious, and for me—a woman in my 50s—the portions were more than enough. Both dinner and breakfast left me completely full. For someone like me who prefers to eat breakfast early and then relax afterward, I really appreciated being able to choose a 7:30 a.m. breakfast time, as well as the late 11:00 a.m. checkout. (Honestly, I wanted to stay longer—on that balcony.) I had seen a Review saying the large public bath was small, so I wasn’t sure whether to use it. But when I went before dinner there was no one else there, so it felt like having it all to myself; both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very comfortable. That said, if it’s crowded it does feel like a size where you’d need to be considerate of others—so it probably depends on timing. There are many Accommodations across The whole country with great views from their Rooms, but what makes this place exceptional is how easy it is to reach: from my home in Tokyo without using bullet trains or limited express trains—and even without a car—without needing buses or taxis either; just local trains only for about JPY 2,500 round trip. So I definitely want to return again. Next time will be in a cooler season.

I found this Ryokan while looking for a trip to give my boyfriend as a birthday present, also as a thank-you for his proposal. This was an important trip for me, and everything—from the hospitality to the Onsen, the food, and the Room—was wonderful. It was a truly heartwarming Ryokan. When I asked about bringing in wine as a surprise, they responded and accommodated my request promptly and with great care. I didn’t expect such thoughtful support, and I’m very grateful. In the end, he was delighted, and we were able to spend a lovely time together. While searching for a Ryokan, I saw many reviews praising the hospitality, and after staying here I completely understand why. The service from our attendant and all other staff was excellent, making this trip even more special. We also enjoyed seasonal flavors in the cuisine, and since it was served in our Room we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The words said to us at departure—“We look forward to welcoming you again in another season”—left a strong impression on me. We would love to visit again.

The “Small-portion Gourmet Kaiseki” was just the right amount for seniors, and over our two-night stay the dinner was excellent in terms of ingredients, preparation, and seasoning. The breakfast also offered a variety of small dishes, and we were very satisfied from the morning with both dried fish and sashimi. The Onsen, Facility, and Room were clean and well maintained, and the staff were extremely attentive throughout our two-night stay. True to its name, it provided a five-star experience and made our trip to Izu a wonderful one.

We stayed here for a family trip with our parents in their 80s. The Room was spacious and spotless, with the toilet and bath separated, and a generously sized washbasin—everything exceeded our expectations! Both the Italian dinner and the Japanese breakfast were excellent. In particular, the main dishes of the Italian course (both the fish and meat) were outstanding, and the peach mille-feuille dessert was just the right size and not overly sweet—absolutely delicious. The staff who assisted us were also very pleasant, making it a thoroughly satisfying stay for our whole family. It was also great for my parents that we could take the elevator to get to the large public bath. The only disappointment was that Mt. Fuji didn’t show itself—but that can’t be helped! A staff member told us it’s often difficult in summer, so we’d love to visit again in a different season someday!

Before our stay, they kindly helped with various requests such as arranging taxis and pickups, and on the day they also assisted with ticket arrangements and an unexpected pickup during heavy rain—we truly appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. For dinner, we chose the teppanyaki course and enjoyed lively conversation along with delicious locally grown vegetables and meat. The Room also offered more than enough amenities, including coffee and other drinks.

We stayed here for the first time on his birthday, and everything was wonderful. He was delighted and said it was the best Accommodation he has ever stayed at! The teppanyaki meal was delicious, and the Onsen temperature was adjusted so it could be enjoyed even in summer, making it very comfortable and relaxing. Next time, I’d like to visit again with him in winter!
