Once again, I was very satisfied with the cuisine, the Room, and the service, and had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Dinner in particular was excellent and truly outstanding, including the salt-grilled ayu we ordered separately. One request: drinks in the lobby lounge end at 7:00 PM, but it would be appreciated if guests could have a drink after dinner, so I would be grateful if you could consider staying open until around 9:00 PM. In any case, I would like to visit again in a different season and look forward to enjoying your delicious food and sake. Thank you for your hospitality.

I heard this is the oldest property in Reggina. The building did feel a bit dated, but it was kept very clean. The bedding was comfortable and I slept well. The staff were especially wonderful. Reggina is consistently pet-first, which made us feel at ease. Both dinner and breakfast were Japanese-style and very delicious.

I had been wanting to stay at this Accommodation for a long time and was really looking forward to it. As the reviews said, everything was very clean, and the Room was a bit spacious with a layout different from a typical twin—very satisfying. The ceiling height on each floor also felt relatively high, giving a slightly open feel. The bath was practically private, so we could relax and enjoy it. Both yukata and samue were provided, and we chose the samue. It worked well as sleepwear. The meals were just right for us since we can’t eat very large portions, and everything was delicious. The location is also convenient, and I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip. From the moment we arrived until the very end, we truly had a wonderful time. The Room was spacious and spotless, with thoughtful attention to every detail. It was so comfortable that we honestly wished we could stay there forever. All of the staff were warm throughout our stay, full of attentive care and hospitality, and we found ourselves thinking again and again how glad we were to have chosen this place. The Room, the meals, the Onsen, and especially the staff’s thoughtfulness—everything was exceptional. We couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay. We have stayed at many Accommodations over the years, but this is without a doubt the best one we have ever experienced. We are truly glad we chose “Hakone Gen” for such an important anniversary. During our stay at Hanaogi, we loved the pleasant atmosphere throughout the Accommodation, and above all, we were touched by the warm hospitality of every staff member, which allowed us to spend a truly relaxing time. The Onsen was wonderfully soothing—both the open-air bath in our Room and the large public bath helped us unwind completely. The cuisine also captured a strong sense of seasonality, with excellent overall balance in both pacing and course order, bringing out the natural flavors of each ingredient—it was outstanding. Thank you for taking care of our family of four for one night and two days. One of us was delayed due to work and might not have made it in time for dinner. When we informed the staff, they kindly changed our dining Room and made various thoughtful arrangements so that even if we arrived late, we could relax without rushing. We were in a difficult situation, and I was truly moved by your deep hospitality. I asked for their name, but they said, “We all do this together...” To Mr./Ms. K-sawa and all the staff members at the dinner venue, thank you very much for everything. I was deeply impressed. We will come again. Thank you so much!!

There is a fully equipped grooming room, and the high-quality shampoo and conditioner were excellent—we were very satisfied. The view was disappointing due to dense fog and rain, but we had a great time playing in the covered dog run. We also received plenty of treats and food for our dogs, so we will definitely be back.

This was our second stay at Sekiyo. We were upgraded from Taikan and were able to stay in Kangetsuan. It was our first time in a detached guest room, and it was very quiet. From time to time, small birds came to the tree by the window, and my spouse and I were able to relax at a leisurely pace. We also fully enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. The meals were wonderful—there were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all, and everything was delicious. The attentive service from the room attendant was excellent as well, and we would love to visit Sekiyo again.

We stayed for two nights with three generations, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including a history museum that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), so every generation can have a great time. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy both the places we visited this time as well. I was drawn in by the Hotel photos on Yahoo! Travel. The Room was very spacious, with an open and clean feel, and I was able to relax comfortably. The open-air bath was a good size, the sauna was clean, and I personally found the cold plunge temperature very pleasant. The meals were also delicious. I would love to stay again.

This was about my fourth visit, and it had been a while since the last time, but once again I had a thoroughly satisfying stay in every respect. As it was just the beginning of September, we were served dobin-mushi and matsutake mushroom rice, allowing us to enjoy the flavors of autumn a little early. Everything was delicious. The Room was spotless, and the entire property felt clean and well maintained. Above all, every staff member was polite and composed; meals were served at just the right time, and they always seemed to be attentively looking out for guests in a natural way. It made for a truly comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

Although this is a historic Onsen Ryokan, the property is impeccably maintained throughout, and we felt thoughtful attention to detail and quality in every corner. Our family of four enjoyed a truly wonderful stay with dinner and breakfast included. Above all, the Room was fantastic! It was very spacious, with plenty of room for each of us to relax comfortably, while also being perfect for gathering together as a family to chat and enjoy tea and sweets. The in-room beverages were also well stocked—the coffee and tea were excellent—and of course the private open-air bath in the guest room was amazing. We had both dinner and breakfast in a private dining room. The staff member who took care of us was highly professional and kind; everything from the timing of each course to the explanations of every dish and overall service was flawless, allowing us to enjoy our meals comfortably from start to finish. And finally, the greatest highlight here is definitely the Onsen! There are many different types of baths on site—so many that we seriously discussed “the best order” to try them all (laughs)! We were so busy enjoying the Onsen that we didn’t have time to relax with drinks in the lounge. That just gives us an excuse to come back. In short, our family of four thoroughly enjoyed this stay with dinner and breakfast included. The Room, cuisine, service, and Onsen—all exceeded our expectations. This Accommodation comes highly recommended for anyone who loves hot springs or wants a relaxing time at an Onsen Ryokan. We would love to stay again!

As a truly secluded Onsen, the drive to get there was challenging, but it was a wonderful Accommodation well worth the effort. Surrounded by abundant nature, even the wait for the cable car was enjoyable as we took in the gorge views and watched small birds. We also used the private bath first thing in the morning and were able to fully enjoy the Onsen while embraced by quiet nature—it was truly an exceptional moment. All of your staff are wonderfully international, and rather than striving for perfection, each person’s sincere, heartfelt work came through, which made us feel very warm inside. At dinner, you kindly changed our table to a window seat, and we enjoyed delicious dishes along with the beautiful scenery. My European husband was also very satisfied. Next time, we would love to return during the autumn foliage or snowy season. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We booked the Anniversary Plan, and in short, it was a truly wonderful stay that made us genuinely glad we chose to spend her special day here. What impressed us first was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. From arrival throughout our stay, everyone treated us with such warmth and care that we felt completely at ease. And above all, the food was exceptional. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious—not just tasty, but beautifully presented in a way that truly felt like “a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.” Each course made us excited for what would come next, and we enjoyed every moment of mealtime. As part of the Anniversary Plan, we also received many thoughtful touches. They prepared a carved watermelon with the character “Kotobuki” (meaning “celebration/long life”), offered an extra dish on the house, and even gave us a commemorative gift. Every gesture made us happy and felt like they were celebrating my wife’s birthday together with us. Our Room had an open-air bath and a terrace, which allowed us to relax as a couple without worrying about anyone around us—something we really appreciated. In addition, as an IKYU Diamond member benefit, champagne and Shine Muscat grapes were prepared in our Room as well. This was another delightful service. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive as dinner—not only in flavor but also in presentation—leaving us satisfied until the very end. Most importantly, my wife was truly happy during this trip—that meant everything to me. On such a special occasion—a birthday—we were able to enjoy amazing cuisine, warm hospitality, and unhurried time together as a couple. This is an Accommodation that made us sincerely feel: “We’re so glad we chose this place.” Thanks to all of your staff, it became a memorable and wonderful birthday for both of us. Thank you very much. We would love to return again for another important anniversary.

The Accommodation has a wonderful atmosphere and offers satisfaction beyond its price. At the entrance, there was a vending machine selling rare flash-frozen soba you can enjoy as if freshly made, as well as Matsumoto Sanzoku-yaki. They kindly accompanied us to our Room on the second floor and even carried our luggage. When we left, although it was raining, they lent us an umbrella and saw us off. The interior has a special, out-of-the-ordinary feel, with calming lights placed throughout the hallways and other areas. The toilets and washbasins are shared, but they are clean. There is also a large public bath with separate hours for men and women, and if available, you can use the private bath at no extra charge. The water temperature is on the lukewarm side. Breakfast offered many kinds of small side dishes, a large-nameko mushroom miso soup, and curry that was light yet flavorful; we were told it uses Indian spices. Next time, I’d like to try dinner as well.

This was my first stay, and just as everyone says, the meals were outstanding. I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but this was the most delicious by far. It wasn’t just tasty—the menu was exciting too, and I truly looked forward to mealtimes. Personally, I was especially impressed by how delicious the sautéed splendid alfonsino was. The Room was also very clean and comfortable. In addition, the location offers great access to everywhere, making sightseeing easy and convenient. When I visit Izu again someday, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

My first visit to Kamikochi became a wonderful memory! The staff were very kind and attentive, and I had a comfortable stay. The Room was well cleaned, making it pleasant to spend time in. The Room was also easy to use, with a view of the Azusa River from the room.

The food was truly delicious! Not only dinner, but also the vegetables at breakfast were excellent. The restaurant where we enjoyed the welcome drink and the guests-only lounge were both very comfortable, and we had a wonderful time. The bath felt a little small, but it was clean and pleasant. We were impressed and would love to stay again.

I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. Because it was raining heavily, I arrived early, but I was able to relax in the lounge while waiting, and since the Room was ready quickly, I was allowed to check in early. The Room had a body pillow, and the bed angle could be adjusted, so I could rest in a very comfortable position. The meals were thoughtfully arranged for both my husband and me. My meal had no raw items and was changed to options that considered the baby’s nutrition. It was fun to compare it with my husband’s meal as we ate. Everything was delicious. I’m sorry that I couldn’t eat very much and ended up leaving some toward the end. On departure day as well, we enjoyed tea in the lounge before checkout and were able to enjoy our stay until the very end. Thank you very much!

I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to visit Mihama Beach and it was conveniently located, but I was amazed by the incredible hospitality. The proprietress was like sunshine, and all the other staff were so pleasant—truly a wonderful Accommodation. The young woman who served dinner even picked up on our small conversation and celebrated my husband’s birthday, which we hadn’t mentioned. The Room cushions were unbelievably thick and fluffy—so much so that I almost hesitated to sit on them. Since I was traveling with my elderly father, they were very considerate of him, and he was in great spirits as well. This is the first time I’ve experienced such a warm Accommodation.
