Since it was a weekday, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I wished there was a large public bath. The family bath required a Reservation, so I couldn't use it this time. Next time, I plan to make a Reservation. Both the dinner and the breakfast buffet were delicious. The nighttime illumination was also beautiful.

It’s been a while since I stayed somewhere that helps carry your luggage. (LOL) The service was polite and great. As for the meals, given the price I didn’t expect them to be like the photos, but they really were—especially the sashimi platter with a big spiny lobster, which was delicious and very satisfying. The building and Facility are a bit old, but the location is right by the beach so you can go for a walk, and I was very happy with breakfast while looking at the sea and the footbath!

I stayed here the night before my trip to Kamikochi. I arrived a little early, but the staff kindly accommodated me and let me into my Room ahead of time. Thank you very much.

I felt this Accommodation could be rated very differently depending on the purpose of your trip and the Room you choose. I stayed because I was interested in their guest Room with a semi-open-air bath. The exterior looks dated, and the front desk area doesn’t feel like a typical Hotel, which made me a bit uneasy at first. But once I entered the Room, it was very clean and instantly lifted my mood. The Facility also felt relatively new and well maintained. And of course, it has an ocean view. The refrigerator includes a freezer compartment, and there’s also a microwave and a washing machine (with dryer). Amenities such as skincare items and cleansing products are all provided individually packaged. There were two bath towels set out plus one spare in the drawer—three per person in total, which was more than enough. (Though I’m not sure if this applies only to Rooms with a semi-open-air bath.) Most importantly, the semi-open-air bath was truly wonderful. You can see the ocean at a glance through the large window, and the tub is spacious enough for what feels like four people. The Onsen in the Room is not free-flowing, but it’s easy to adjust the temperature so you can soak as long as you like at your preferred heat. Because there’s a glass partition between it and the living area, you can even watch TV (with subtitles) while bathing. The staff were pleasant and kind—they quickly helped me exchange my indoor sandal size and delivered them to my Room. It was No Meals Included, but it’s close to both the station and Atami Ginza, making dining out and shopping very convenient. It’s different from an ordinary Hotel, but as a condominium-style stay with an in-room Onsen, it was excellent. I highly recommend the Grand View Room. I’d love to visit again.

I chose this because I expected to arrive after 6:00 PM due to other commitments, and it was great! Since it’s part of a resort condominium, the renovated Room was spacious and had a wonderful view with lots of greenery. Dinner and breakfast are prepared in the refrigerator, so you can heat them up with the IH cooktop or microwave and eat whenever you like. Bringing your own food is allowed, so I enjoyed dinner with sashimi and my favorite drinks! The Onsen was at a comfortable temperature, though it felt a bit small. There is no open-air bath, but even the indoor bath has a great view. The staff interaction was minimal as needed, but their smiles were nice. Recommended for experienced travelers!

Every fish dish at dinner was excellent, and we truly enjoyed it. Sashimi, grilled dishes, and simmered dishes kept coming one after another, and we were completely full. It really felt like a seaside Accommodation. The explanations on how to eat each dish were also thorough, and the service was outstanding.

We stayed as a family of four, and the kids were thrilled—they’re already saying they want to come again in winter. The meals were delicious and so plentiful that we felt bad leaving any behind. Drinks were all-you-can-drink, and the ice-cold draft beer was fantastic. The kids also enjoyed making their own original drinks. We also loved being able to enjoy the free-flowing Onsen anytime, and went in many times. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t see the stars, but we’d like to stay again next time to enjoy the night sky.

We stayed as a family of four during the Obon holidays. The Accommodation was very clean and beautiful. The Onsen and the meals were both excellent. We were also able to buy Shizuoka oden that you recommended on our way home, and it was very delicious! It was a warm, comfortable Accommodation. We would love to visit again during the autumn foliage season. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful time. Due to the heavy rain, the Onsen source stopped, so it was disappointing that we couldn’t use the in-room bath. However, we received a courteous message in advance, and your responses throughout our communication were very polite, so we were able to stay without any issues. Although we couldn’t use the in-room bath, giving 1 star would lower your rating too much, so with hopes for next time I’m giving 5 stars. I would like to visit again once the Onsen is restored. As a personal request, I’d like to mention two points for improvement. First, regarding the hanging light in the center of the Room: even when it was on, it felt dim. If you could replace it with one that allows brightness adjustment or switch to a brighter LED light, I think it would be more comfortable. Second, when walking from the parking area to the entrance, there were multiple nests of what looked like horseflies on the ground. There were many of them around and it made entering and leaving the building difficult. Since this is an important pathway for guests, it would be better to remove the nests or take some kind of countermeasure.

I made a Reservation for a meal course that included a boat-style sashimi platter. When I mentioned at check-in that I planned to try every bath, the front desk staff advised me not to overdo it because I might feel unwell from soaking too much. They were right—I’m glad I didn’t try them all. There were that many baths. For this price, the combination of the meal and the baths was excellent.

All the staff were very kind, and I had a truly relaxing stay! I was a bit nervous because the sand bath required same-day Reservation, but I was able to use it without any issues. It felt wonderful. The meals were excellent, and I’m glad I chose this Accommodation. There should have been several other guests staying, but it felt like I only ran into people occasionally. I’d love to come again.

We stayed here last March. This time, we visited during summer vacation so our dogs (Welsh Corgis, ages 5 and 3) could try the pool, and they had a great time playing. As with our previous stay, we were very satisfied with the meals. It takes about six hours to get here from Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, but we would love to stay again.

We made a Reservation for this Accommodation as our first trip away with our child just before starting weaning foods. Just as other Reviews said, both dinner and breakfast were very generous, and everything looked and tasted amazing—this alone made us glad we stayed here. The amenities were also very well stocked, and since we mentioned when booking that we had an infant, they prepared not only adult items but also baby lotion and more, which we really appreciated. If there’s one thing to note, we drove to the Accommodation but the route was a bit hard to follow and we got slightly lost before arriving, so it may be helpful to check the directions in advance.

The owner was friendly, and I had a very pleasant stay! The room was well-cleaned, and the rock bath was very relaxing. I would love to visit again for sightseeing next time!

The staff’s heartfelt hospitality. An Onsen that hot-spring lovers can’t resist (the water seems highly therapeutic, but you can’t stay in too long—so even during Golden Week, I was able to enjoy it almost privately). Above all, the food was incredibly delicious—wonderful dishes that felt nourishing and full of nature’s blessings! I’d love to come back just to eat those amazing soba noodles again. (I can’t forget how delicious the warm dipping broth with rich chicken stock was.)

I was a bit worried the road to the Accommodation went so far back, but I arrived safely. It’s a quiet Accommodation on the edge of a rural area. They also offer day-use bathing, but the bath area is spacious so it never felt crowded. The Onsen water was soft and at just the right temperature, and I could relax and soak at ease. Dinner was delicious, and I even enjoyed the kamameshi to finish. At night, the open-air bath under a sky full of stars was outstanding. The rice at breakfast was excellent—no surprise for a region known for its rice. It’s not a flashy Facility, but it was a warm and pleasant Accommodation.

Although I had imagined it would be a wonderful Accommodation after looking at the website and other information, it turned out to be a dreamlike stay that far exceeded my expectations. All of the staff and the chef were incredibly kind (I contacted them in advance, and their amazingly thoughtful response truly moved me). Not only was the service attentive, but they also taught us so much about the Accommodation and Jinseki, which made our stay even more fulfilling. The meals were outstanding in every way—flavor, menu, and even the tableware—and my husband was deeply impressed as well. We fully enjoyed plenty of local specialties and seasonal ingredients. I was also happy to experience traditional craftsmanship such as Igura-style architecture and naguri-finished flooring. I always hope to give my child many different experiences, so I’m truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Because this Accommodation offers different pleasures in each season, we will definitely visit again at another time of year!

We stayed here as a family while sightseeing in Nagano. The manager was friendly and responded to us courteously. As this is an Accommodation at a temple, it does not have the latest facilities, but the toilets, bath, and shared spaces were well maintained and clean. Thank you very much.

[From Check-in to the Room] We arrived by car and were warmly welcomed. After check-in, we were escorted to our Room while enjoying tea and sweets. [Attractions] We chose one of the two activities and whisked matcha ourselves, then enjoyed tea on the Sky Corridor for a perfect digital detox. There was also a surprise arranged by my wife and the staff for me, which truly moved me—thank you so much. [Dinner] As the title suggests, the meal featured carefully selected ingredients gathered along the Tokaido route and a strong focus on water quality. We’ve enjoyed excellent cuisine at many places (Sekaie, Miwa, Karaku, Mayufutahari, Honbako, Hoshino Resorts, etc.), but this surpassed them all. From the dashi to rice served multiple ways with different textures and aromas, everything delighted all five senses—and our conversation with the staff made time fly by. Personally, I especially loved the rare bonito cutlet and Tajima-Gen beef shabu-shabu with chilled chawanmushi. [Breakfast] It began with wake-up tea. We had two kinds of dried fish (including horse mackerel), both outstanding. As with dinner, rice cooked in a clay pot was excellent—not only as white rice but also as crispy scorched rice enjoyed in hot water (“kogashi-yu”), which was a new discovery for us. Personally, I especially enjoyed the dried fish and simmered vegetables. [Room] A functional Room with thoughtful touches such as aroma oil for stone warming and three types of tea. Since it’s designed for digital detoxing there is no TV. We relaxed slowly in the semi-open-air bath in our Room. [Service] Everyone provided exceptional service—from those who helped arrange our surprise from Reservation through arrival day, to those who whisked matcha together with us as beginners; from dinner service by someone who shared my wife’s name to breakfast staff who kindly accommodated an unexpected request. Each moment became a lasting memory. [Overall] We will definitely return—next time in autumn or spring would be ideal. With such comfortable hospitality from everyone here, this Accommodation is deeply soothing and easy to recommend. Since it has only recently opened up: personally speaking it would be nice to have insect screens on the outer windows by the semi-open-air bath; also given how much care goes into tea and ingredients it might be great to have a small space where guests can buy souvenirs such as tea leaves teaware or dried fish as keepsakes.

Although we arrived late, we had informed them in advance, and they kindly accepted our Reservation. Also, for a whole-house rental Accommodation, it was rare to have breakfast included: the rice cooker was set so the rice would be ready at 6:00 a.m., and miso soup was prepared in a thermos in the refrigerator so it could be enjoyed after warming—an excellent Japanese breakfast. The Facility’s interior was stylish and reflected the owner’s great sense of design, making our stay very comfortable. Since we were traveling with children, we did not use the kura bed and instead laid futons in the same Room; however, it would have been even better if the futon set were a bit softer. The location is also great—just a short walk away on a quiet side street off the main road of the Bikan Historical Quarter—so you can relax peacefully at night. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kurashiki.
