Because I was traveling with my elderly mother (in her 80s, with lower back pain), I consulted in advance, and they provided a rollaway bed in our Room and also brought in a table for in-room dining. Instead of taking the garden path with stairs to the entrance as usual, a staff member picked us up by car at the parking lot, and we entered through the rear entrance on the 4th floor. Since our Room had a private bath, my mother felt at ease and was able to soak comfortably. Even when the water was hot, she could adjust it with cold water and enjoy several baths. The meals were on the Standard Plan, but every dish was easy to eat, delicious, and more than enough in quantity. The trainee also explained each dish carefully and kindly offered to take photos for us. We were able to relax very peacefully during our stay. Just one thing: because there was a step down at the toilet entrance, I felt it might be a little unsafe for elderly guests; it would be better if it were flat or had a ramp. This time we spent most of our time in the Room, but if we have another opportunity to stay again, we would like to enjoy the garden and the open-air bath as well.

Since we reserved a detached Room, we were able to check in early and enjoy the open-air bath at the large public bath at our own pace. The Room was spacious and spotless, and above all, the charming open-air bath was outstanding. The meals were not only made with quality ingredients but also thoughtfully prepared with extra care, which we enjoyed to the very end. Every member of the guest room staff was pleasant, chatting with us in a friendly way while keeping a comfortable distance. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

I was looking for a Room with an open-air bath and in-room dining. About a 45-minute drive from Kanazawa, with a zoo and the mysterious Hanibe Gankutsu-in nearby, it felt like the perfect place for the first night of our 2-night, 3-day trip, so we decided to stay here. First, when we arrived about 10 minutes past check-in time, everyone was waiting outside in this heat, and since we weren’t used to that kind of welcome, we felt truly apologetic (lol). I was surprised by how vast the grounds were—our Room was spacious, and best of all, it had the semi open-air bath I’d been hoping for! Having a dedicated staff member (?) take care of us throughout our stay also made us feel at ease. This time it happened to be my companion’s birthday month… and when I casually mentioned it, they gave us a birthday gift at dinner. On top of that, the proprietress even put on a surprise (no spoilers), which made it such a fun and memorable experience. We heard the meals change daily, so I think even a Multiple Night Stay would be enjoyable. There are also two large public baths that are more than enough to enjoy even without an in-room bath—we were able to relax and unwind. Above all, we really appreciated the warm hospitality from all the staff. In the end everything worked out well, but since it was their birthday month I requested an additional dinner item in advance; however, on the day we were told that if we ordered that menu they would like to serve dinner not in our Room but in another private dining room instead. Since I had been looking forward to in-room dining as well, I would have appreciated being informed at the time of ordering that this might happen. That said, the room they prepared for us was private—and actually it worked out better for messy people like us because we didn’t have to rush around tidying up before dinner—so we were very satisfied. Next time I’m thinking of visiting during my own birthday month so I can experience the proprietress’s surprise again. Thanks to you all, it turned into a wonderful Kanazawa trip. We stayed here for a family trip with my parents. At check-in, the staff explained the building while we enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which helped us understand the Accommodation even better. The welcome sweets and tea we were served were also delicious. As I am pregnant, I mentioned that I was avoiding caffeine, raw foods, and alcohol. They kindly switched the coffee prepared in our Room to decaf, provided non-caffeinated sword bean tea, and changed the tea served with meals to black soybean tea. I was truly impressed by their warm hospitality. Dinner was excellent as well. They even accommodated me with a separate menu, and I really appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was delicious, the portions were just right, and it was a wonderful meal overall. The private Onsen in our Room could be enjoyed 24 hours a day whenever we liked, which was fantastic. My parents seemed very satisfied too. This was our last family trip before our baby arrives, and we are truly glad we chose to stay here. Once things settle down, we would love to return and stay in a different Room as well.

We chose this hotel because (1) three of us could stay in one room and (2) it has a large public bath. After making our Reservation, we read the Reviews and added breakfast. There were so many dishes that it was almost overwhelming—in a good way. The large public bath was also great, except that it was crowded and we had to wait for a washing station. It was nice to have plenty of outlets, but there were mirrors only in the bathroom and by the entrance. If possible, I would have liked a tabletop stand mirror on the desk. That said, we were very satisfied overall, so I rated it 5 out of 5.

I think this Accommodation is perfect for a stay during the Gion Festival. I also enjoyed both the Italian and Japanese cuisine. Watching a maiko dance during my stay became a wonderful memory—thank you very much. It seems that, in exchange for opening the lounge, the drinks in the refrigerator have been limited to mineral water only. However, because the lounge has short opening hours, it was not very convenient. I usually stay at Hiramatsu-level Accommodations, but this was the first time I had to buy sparkling mineral water at a convenience store during my stay. That said, it is still a great Accommodation, and I would be happy to stay again.

It was a very pleasant Accommodation. It was close to the bus stop, the meals were delicious, and the sound of the river from our Room was soothing, so we were able to relax. They kindly provided Shuttle Service to Tenkawa Shrine twice (during the day and for the morning service), which was a great help for us since we didn’t have a car. Next time, we would like to visit in a different season for a Multiple Night Stay.

The architecture, service, and dining were all exceptional—an experience that went beyond anything I had imagined from a Hotel stay. Although the building is historic, it is clearly cared for with great attention, making for a very comfortable stay. This time we stayed in a suite in the annex, and the view of the main building from the window was beautifully framed; if you love architecture, I highly recommend viewing the main building from the annex. The food was also delicious, and it was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

This was my first business trip to Aomori, and after reading Reviews, I chose to stay at Kaosenkaku. The view of Mutsu Bay from the Room was even more breathtaking than I imagined, and the sunset was truly soothing. At dinner, we enjoyed Nebuta Festival hand dances, folk songs, Tsugaru shamisen performances, and dancing—since we didn’t have time to go sightseeing, it made our stay feel like a full Aomori experience!! Next time, I’d love to visit again and take my time exploring as well. Thank you for a wonderful time.

This was our first stay, and thank you very much for preparing such a wonderful Room! Our family had a great time. Since we have a small child, we really appreciated the valet service on hot days, and we were truly happy when your staff helped carry our plates to the table at the breakfast buffet while I was holding my child. Also, because we could switch our breakfast vouchers to the lunch buffet at your affiliated Hotel next door, it was a big help that they didn’t go to waste even on days when we had to head out early in the morning. The value for money is excellent and the in-house Facilities are well equipped—this is a Hotel I would recommend to friends and acquaintances. Thanks to you, it was a very satisfying trip. We would love to stay again.

I travel out many times throughout the year. I was truly won over by how delicious the food was here. The rice was cooked perfectly! Ayu sashimi (my first time), salt-grilled ayu (the seasoning, grilling, and timing of service), and even the soup—everything was flawless. From now on, your salt-grilled ayu will likely be my benchmark for taste. This may sound presumptuous, but I believe it’s simple dishes that really show a chef’s skill. The yukata in the Room were crisp and nicely starched, so even someone like me who doesn’t usually like yukata could wear it comfortably. I also appreciated the detox water after bathing.

The Room had a great view and was spacious, making our stay very comfortable. We also appreciated being able to relax while enjoying music in the bath, shower, and vanity area. The staff were all very kind and attentive, which we truly appreciated.

All staff were pleasant overall, and the check-in explanations were detailed and courteous, so I had no trouble during my stay. This time I booked a Multiple Night Stay for two nights, and the breakfast side dishes had a good variety with some changes each morning, so I enjoyed it without getting bored. As for the Room, on the first day we were assigned one at the hotel’s discretion; it was a twin Room with plenty of space. The second day’s Room (single) was simple but more than sufficient, very clean, and comfortable. It was also great that each Room has its own air conditioner, making the environment comfortable throughout. The only downside is that getting around by elevator can take time, so it’s best to allow extra time when moving around. In addition to the in-room bath, there is a large public bath on the top floor with panoramic city views, as well as an open-air bath, which made for a very relaxing experience. There are also good restaurants nearby, so unless there is heavy rain or similar weather, you shouldn’t feel inconvenienced. There are many affiliated parking lots nearby; if you park at places like Yodobashi Parking, you can choose covered parking as well, which made driving there feel reassuring.

I stayed here while traveling around Odawara and Atami. It was drizzling, but the Hotel is directly connected to the station, and places to explore like Minaka Odawara are close by, so it was very convenient. The large public bath amenities were also great—FANCL and Sekkisei. Breakfast included Odawara specialties, and I was satisfied. However, I felt the Room lighting was dim. I know home and a Hotel are different, but I wondered if Hotels usually have so little lighting. It was a bit inconvenient that the elevators took a long time to arrive. I don’t think there are too few elevators, but the wait time felt long. Also, it would have been better if checkout were at 11:00. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate a proposal—one of life’s most important milestones. What impressed us most during our stay was the thoughtful attention from everyone, especially the person in charge. For the surprise proposal, they handled everything flexibly to match the situation, including preparing and handing over the cake and bouquet, which allowed me to feel at ease on the day. Thanks to that support, it became an unforgettable, truly wonderful time. Every dish was genuinely delicious, and the explanations were perfectly paced—not too long or too short—so we could enjoy not only the flavors but also the dining experience itself. The atmosphere inside the Accommodation and the views were also outstanding, and we were able to relax from the heart. Above all, we were so happy that their desire to make our stay memorable came through in every interaction. Thanks to them, both my partner and I naturally found ourselves saying, “Let’s definitely come back for anniversaries,” and it became two irreplaceable days for us. I am truly grateful that we could welcome such an important moment of our lives at this Accommodation. This is a wonderful Accommodation I can confidently recommend to anyone who wants to spend special time with someone important—whether for a proposal or a wedding anniversary. Next time we visit, I hope we can return as husband and wife.

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed in the designated cultural property Room above Koike Tobacco Shop; this time, I stayed in the kura-style Room (No. 103). The high ceilings, spacious layout, and large hinoki bath were wonderful—the fragrance was amazing—and the interior design was superb. With no TV or clock, it truly felt like being in another world, which was fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept soundly. Breakfast was delicious—absolutely delicious—and all the staff were very courteous and attentive. Thank you very much. The dreamlike time passed in the blink of an eye. Next time as well, I would love to stay in a kura-style Room—preferably No. 102. Please keep NIPPONIA just as it is, and I look forward to visiting again. P.S. I bought Takayamaen’s tea right away. The barley tea with grapes is delicious, and I also purchased many other kinds of tea. I even became friendly with the shop owner lol. It was a fun trip with lots of new discoveries. Thank you for the Diamond Member gift! It made me so happy—it felt wonderfully substantial too.

This trip was to celebrate my mother’s birthday. She requested to see the Onsen she had visited with my late father during their honeymoon, and also the snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park. We chose this Accommodation because Reviews repeatedly mentioned the private family bath and a homey, relaxing atmosphere. True to the Reviews, it was a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place. The warm glow of washi paper lamps displayed throughout was beautiful, and we could feel the proprietress’s thoughtful care in every detail. And the food—absolutely delicious! Dinner just kept coming (laugh). Every dish was freshly made and served hot. The best of all was the kake soba hand-made by the chef that very morning. I love soba and visit many places, but I’m sorry—this was truly the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Breakfast also made us happy with piping-hot dashimaki tamago. The highlight of breakfast was the miso soup—I wanted to take home the whole pot. As we’ve gotten older, we choose our trips carefully based on both meals and Accommodation quality, and this place offered outstanding value for money. More than anything, we made unforgettable memories here. On our way out, I bought one of the lamps that were on display at the Accommodation as a gift for my mother. Thanks to you, it became the best birthday present possible. We’ll come again in winter—and again for her birthday next year too. It was a very cozy Hotel. The delicious breakfast, the staff’s warm smiles, and the clean Room—everything offered service and quality beyond the price. Because of the rain, we spent more time at the Hotel, but it was very comfortable. When I visit Kyoto again, I would definitely like to stay here.

This time I stayed without breakfast, but everything was truly excellent, from the Room cleaning to the amenities and the front desk service. Although more foreign-owned Hotels are increasing in Japan, JAL-affiliated Hotels are reasonably priced, and the food at most of their Hotels is very delicious, so I am satisfied. I quietly think their rival might be JR-affiliated Hotels.

As we did last year, we stayed again this year for our cousins’ trip. Unfortunately, the weather was bad last year, but this year it was sunny, so we decided to definitely use Choraku’s pool. At check-in, we enjoyed delicious tea and sweets in the lounge, then rested a bit in our Room before heading to Choraku. We went into the pool (there were lots of children, but we still enjoyed it), and then used Choraku’s open-air bath. After returning, it was time for dinner. The meal was delicious again this time. The main dish at dinner was venison, which had no gamey smell and tasted great. There were also various drinks that paired well with the food, and this time we ordered the wine pairing. The price was very reasonable. After dinner we took a short break, then went back to Choraku to enjoy a mini concert. After returning, we had a nightcap in the lounge, took another bath, and went to bed. In the morning we woke up slowly, took another bath, and then had breakfast. This time we could choose between Japanese-style or Western-style breakfast; since the bread served here is incredibly good, we chose Western-style and asked for all types of bread so the three of us could share a little of each. We had tea in the lounge again, returned to our Room to pack up our belongings—and then it was already time to check out. The staff were pleasant, the Room was clean and comfortable—an easy Hotel to relax in—and since you can also enjoy Choraku’s Facilities and events as well, there’s plenty to do. We had another wonderful stay this time too. We’re planning our cousins’ trip here again next year as well—thank you in advance.
