It was wonderful. The Room was spacious, and the in-room Onsen was excellent—I enjoyed it many times. The private bath had no time limit, and I could use it anytime as long as it was available, which made me very satisfied. The staff greeted me with smiles. Above all, every meal was delicious and made me feel truly happy. I have stayed at various Accommodations before, but I think this one was the best. During my stay, I already wanted to come back again. It was truly great. Thank you very much.

We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

This was my first stay. With only three groups per day, it’s a private pet-friendly Accommodation with a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine was excellent, as you’d expect from a Ryokan—especially the sesame tofu and soba. Meals were served in a private dining room. Our dog happily ate the dog pizza. We stayed in the “Kuu-chan” tatami Room on the first floor, which felt a bit too spacious, but it was comfortable with no odors. The bath was a private reservable bath assigned to each Room. Since we visited in August, it was too hot outside to do much. We heard bears may appear around places like Enakyo Gorge. One downside was that a belly band (manner belt) is required inside the Room.

Surrounded by delicious meals, a free-flowing natural hot spring bath, and adorable cats, I was able to spend a gentle, peaceful time. Thank you very much.

All the meals were delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful. The Room and bath areas were kept very clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. The amenities were well provided and really helpful. There was bottled water in the Room refrigerator, and there was also a lounge where you can freely enjoy soft drinks; we had coffee after dinner as well. The Japanese garden in the courtyard was also beautiful. We could choose our favorite yukata, which made us feel even more excited. All the staff were kind and helpful. There were lots of cute cat-themed items in the lobby, hallways, and lounge, which was very soothing. We were able to relax at a leisurely pace. There was a roadside station and a supermarket nearby, so the location was convenient as well. It was such a lovely Accommodation that we would love to stay again. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 4-night Multiple Night Stay. This time, we stayed in the “Oryu” Room. First of all, every staff member was incredibly kind and clearly loves animals. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was gentle and attentive, brought anything we needed right away, and did their best to accommodate our requests. I’m truly grateful—your staff deserves more than five stars. Next, the meals. We were told they were prepared in a special-suite style, and both the taste and quality were excellent—high standard, delicious, and thoughtfully varied. Even over several days, we never got tired of them and enjoyed every meal. With longer stays, menus can sometimes become difficult for the kitchen side as well, but you handled everything so carefully. Since I’m also a small eater, you kindly let me choose from the menu and adjusted portion sizes accordingly. This also deserves more than five stars. As mentioned earlier, your care for animals was also very thoughtful and helpful. I visited with both a dog and a cat, and it seemed comfortable for both of them. The hot spring water quality was also wonderful. As for the guest room layout: there is a long corridor between the Room area and the bath area, which felt slightly inconvenient, so I deducted one star there. On the other hand, having an additional Room separate from the main living space made it easy to stay comfortably even when traveling with friends—an excellent design. Regarding amenities: there are no pet amenities provided (so bringing your own is necessary), but having at least a litter box available would be very helpful. The surroundings were also fantastic—like a hidden mountain hamlet. By chance we were able to see “Children’s Kagura,” which has deep history and is clearly cherished by the community. The performers practice extensively (twice a week), and while they are indeed children (apparently ranging from 3rd grade elementary school to 3rd year high school), their performance was outstanding and truly impressive. If your dates happen to coincide with it during your stay nearby, it’s absolutely worth seeing. (It seems Kagura is held several times a year; I’d love to see other performances as well.) I also felt that preserving traditional Japanese festivals like this is part of what makes this area so special—and I think it may become even more well-known in the future. It’s about 30 minutes by car to Yufuin Station, so even on an extended stay you can easily go shopping for necessities. Sightseeing around Yufuin should be convenient as well—and Beppu is also about 30 minutes away via expressway—so overall it feels like an excellent location for travelers who want to explore.

We stayed one night at another Accommodation to get our “cat fix,” then booked a second night here as a couple after seeing reviews saying the food was delicious and you can meet adorable cats. The exterior is incredibly charming. We were able to use the “Now’s the Time for Ito!” campaign, so we got a great deal. We chose a Room with an ocean view, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, so we’d love to come back and try again. The baths are private and require a Reservation after check-in. In addition to an indoor bath, there is a semi-open-air bath with a small garden; it has a roof and walls so you can’t see the outside scenery. It’s genuine Onsen water, and since it was mosquito season, they even had an adorable cat-themed mosquito coil burning. Because we were leaving early the next morning, we chose a Plan with dinner only—but the meal was so surprisingly delicious it felt like something from a starred restaurant, and we regretted not adding breakfast. The sashimi was fresh, and each dish was carefully handmade—many unlike anything we’d had before. Everything was excellent: spring rolls, small side dishes, simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), white rice, and more. The hamburger steak served toward the end wasn’t greasy or heavy, and the portion size was just right. Dessert also offered variety—fruit, cake, and ice cream. The cookies in the Room (and even the souvenir cookies) were delicious too. This is an Accommodation worth visiting just for the food alone. We’ve stayed at many Hotels and Ryokans around Japan, but my wife and I still talk about how amazed we were by how good the料理 here was. After dinner there was time to interact with the cats. It’s not really hands-on cuddling time, but the owner let us hold one of them and take photos (the cat looked slightly unimpressed!). The owner and his wife were extremely kind, and their hospitality truly came through. At checkout it was raining quite heavily; they lent us an umbrella for walking to our car—and even came out to retrieve it after we got in. We’d love to return.

This was my first stay here. The staff’s hospitality and attentiveness, the well-kept garden, the delicious meals, the atmosphere of the open-air bath, and even the adorable cats made it truly special. Everything was outstanding. I would love to visit again.

We stayed in a Room with a private Onsen. We also used the large public bath, and since there are only a few Rooms, we were able to enjoy it privately. I couldn’t tell the difference between the two hot spring sources, but the water was soft and the temperature was just right. In any case, the garden is wonderful. Although Tendo Onsen is located in town, it’s in a calm setting where you can hear cicadas. And the food is outstanding—no typical “just to increase the number of dishes” meals; instead, you can enjoy local and seasonal ingredients prepared with care and served with refined flavors. They also have an excellent selection of Dewazakura sake. I stay at various Accommodations for work, and among those that fit our budget and lifestyle, this is one of the very best. We’d love to stay again.

Stayed with my Yorkshire Terrier and mother. The interior has a European feel down to the details, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The room is spacious enough, and there was no unpleasant smell. The onsen in the room allows for easy access to a relaxing bath, which was very enjoyable. We only had breakfast during our stay, but the meal on the second day was very delicious. For dinner, please note that you need to choose such a plan or make a reservation in advance; ordering after arriving at the hotel seems difficult. Dinner costs 10,000 yen per person, which felt a bit expensive. However, there are no nearby places within walking distance for dining out easily, so please keep this in mind.

It was a wonderful experience. Thank you to all the Hotel staff. I was worried about the weather, but we were able to enjoy stargazing as planned. They also adjusted the dinner time, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy everything at a leisurely pace—truly Aman quality. The Japanese-inspired cuisine was, of course, delicious. Even the great-tasting coffee showed how much attention is paid to every detail. Above all, the hospitality of every staff member supported and elevated our stay into something truly memorable. We stopped by the thermal spring around checkout time, but the sidewalk had become so hot in the sun that it was impossible to walk on. This is definitely something to visit after late afternoon. Next time, I’ll enjoy it with a Multiple Night Stay. Personally, I love Hawaii, and there’s nothing better than having a beer alone on the balcony at dawn—but drinking coffee while looking out over Ago Bay from my Room at Amanemu surpassed even that. I’ll be back.

We were worried that the earthquake might have caused damage, but when we asked in advance, we were told there was no particular impact and that we could feel at ease, so we decided to visit. The area around Aso was cooler than Kumamoto City and very comfortable. For the open-air bath in the Room, they showed us how to fill it with Onsen water when showing us around, and since it is available 24 hours a day, we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak at night and again in the morning. This time we chose a Plan with breakfast only, but there were many small dishes beautifully arranged and pleasing to the eye, and the rice cooked in a pot was also very delicious. This is an Accommodation we would like to visit again for a relaxing stay.

Even after setting the navigation system, the destination disappeared along the way. Feeling a bit uneasy, we followed the signboards and drove deeper into the mountains on narrow roads—then suddenly, there was the Accommodation entrance. The warm light that appeared in that moment was a real relief. The staff’s welcome and service were also very courteous. We headed straight to the private indoor bath in our Room. Just as I was about to soak in the retro-style tub that felt like an old hot-spring cure retreat, a large hornet—stuck and unable to get out through the window—greeted us first. We somehow dealt with it using the free-flowing natural hot spring water (quite hot). Once adjusted to just the right temperature, it felt amazing on the skin and was incredibly relaxing. When my wife took her turn, this time a rhinoceros beetle stopped by to say hello. Just as explained in advance by the Accommodation, we had a rare experience surrounded by rich nature. From the scenic open-air bath, we enjoyed views of mountains stretching out as if they were ours alone. The meals were also carefully prepared. We were able to spend a truly unhurried time here. Thank you very much.

Just as shown in the photos on IKYU, the Accommodation is surrounded by nature, and the location overlooking the Kofu Basin is truly spectacular. The Room is compact, but its tent-like design makes it fun. The bath isn’t an Onsen, but the night view from the open-air bath was stunning and more than satisfying. Before dinner, we relaxed by swaying in a hammock on the terrace and taking our time by the campfire. Dining while watching the scenery gradually shift from dusk to a sparkling night view felt wonderfully luxurious, and the food was delicious. From the Room facilities and amenities to even small details like tableware and cutlery, everything showed careful attention, and overall it felt very tasteful. In the morning I woke up before dawn and spent time watching the Kofu Basin slowly brighten while looking out at Mt. Fuji. Having coffee by the campfire was a truly memorable experience—one I’m sure I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend this Accommodation, though breakfast is self-prepared, so that point may come down to personal preference.

This is a highly recommended glamping Accommodation. Many of the staff are young, and everyone provides outstanding hospitality. They also replied quickly to questions we sent by message before our stay, which made us feel reassured from the start. We visited in mid-July, and since the weather wasn’t great, the temperature didn’t get too high and we stayed comfortable. (On sunny, hot days, it may get a bit warm inside the tent. There is air conditioning, but it’s not very powerful.) Basically, everything you need is provided. (Coleman BBQ grill, charcoal, fire starters, tongs, fan, etc.) This time we stayed on a Plan that included dinner with late check-in. The meal came with beef, chicken, pork, and even game meat—honestly more than enough for a family of four with a teenage boy who eats a lot. Since we had a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights), they were flexible in helping us store what we couldn’t finish and even switching the next day’s meat to seafood as needed, which was wonderful. Both my spouse and I enjoy alcohol, so we really enjoyed the all-you-can-drink option. The selection was so good it almost felt unfair for an unlimited plan—and we were able to fully savor drinks unique to Hokkaido as well. They also had soft drinks like Hokkaido apple juice and milk (and it was delicious), which our teenage son definitely appreciated. There’s also a toaster so you can warm up bread you buy yourself, and coffee is available both hot and iced—truly attentive service throughout. You do need to leave the tent to use the bath and toilets, but neither felt crowded at all; everyone seemed considerate and kept things clean. It can feel slightly scary if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night (haha), but there are lights everywhere so it still feels safe. There is also a private sauna available for an additional fee; being able to relax there as a family of four may have been our best memory from this trip. Spending quiet time together while listening to the river was truly blissful. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again if I have another chance—thank you very much!

Although the building is old, we had an ocean view from the Room and could watch the sunset, and the large public bath also had a sea view—it was wonderful. The staff were very welcoming. There is also a pool during the summer, and it was great to be able to go down to the sandy beach as well. We would like to visit again.

This was our second stay. Our previous visit left a strong impression, and we were looking forward to coming back. The owners’ warm hospitality was just as wonderful this time, and we had a very comfortable stay. The Accommodation was kept spotless throughout, making it a relaxing place to be. The meals were excellent, and we especially enjoyed trying ingredients we rarely get to taste, such as wolf eel. This trip was also for a special anniversary, and thanks to your thoughtful kindness, it became a truly memorable stay. Thank you very much. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to see the starry sky like last time, but every sightseeing spot you recommended was fantastic, and we were able to fully experience the charm of Eastern Hokkaido. When we visit Eastern Hokkaido again, we would love to stay here again.

It was our first time staying at this Accommodation, and we were able to relax and take our time. Since we had a Room with an open-air bath, it was great to be able to bathe as many times as we wanted without worrying about the time. The Hotel staff told us that deer come into the garden, and although we were skeptical, we were truly surprised to see them from our Room. We look forward to staying again next time.

This was not just a clean Accommodation, but a place that felt like a “second home,” filled with warmth and thoughtfulness. In every corner of the Room, we could feel the host’s care and affection, and throughout our stay we felt comfortable and genuinely welcomed. The meals were also truly outstanding. Each dish was prepared with great care and sincerity—delicious, and an unforgettable taste. We had a truly wonderful time and are sincerely grateful. We would love to visit again.
