We arrived close to 10:00 PM. As we weren’t familiar with the area and couldn’t find a place to eat, thank you very much for accommodating our meal request. It ended up being dinner, breakfast, and lunch (after check-out), but we were able to enjoy each meal in a relaxed setting. Everything was delicious. The room was spacious, with background music playing, which felt very soothing. We had a comfortable stay. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

I found this Accommodation while looking for a place with great food and made a Reservation. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and we were very satisfied! It also has great access to the two shrines and one temple, and with checkout at 12:00, we could take our time—being able to go out after breakfast and come back was especially convenient. We would love to stay here again when we visit Nikko. Thank you very much.

Located in the heart of town, it’s very convenient for sightseeing. The exterior is small and understated, but once inside you’re welcomed by a warm, hospitable atmosphere that feels like a special escape. The in-room bath isn’t a hot spring, but there is always plenty of hot water, so you can soak whenever you like. The complimentary snacks in the lounge were also delicious. Dinner is served in a private room, where you can relax and enjoy an excellent meal. One Hida Takayama specialty after another is brought out. For an additional fee, you can add more Hida beef dishes or upgrade the cut; my daughter chose shabu-shabu, my husband chose seared sushi, and I upgraded the cut—and everything was highly satisfying. It’s exciting to watch the shabu-shabu and seared sushi finished right in front of you. Dinner, breakfast, and the lounge were all outstanding. Every staff member was kind and helpful. We’re truly glad we chose this inn.

I stayed for two days, and I was truly impressed by the staff’s kind and attentive service. I have stayed at many Hotels across Japan, but I was once again struck by the meticulous hospitality at Hotel Okura Kyoto. Throughout my stay, their genuine desire to help guests feel as comfortable as possible came through naturally in many situations. During my stay, I dined at the French restaurant on the 17th floor and also used room service; both the food quality and service were impeccable. More than just its Facilities or location, I feel that the staff’s hospitality itself is one of this Hotel’s greatest attractions. It was a Hotel where I would definitely like to stay again.

I’m always grateful for the wide variety of breakfast options here, and I’ve also noticed that many areas—such as the baths—are barrier-free, which is very reassuring. I’d like to stay here again in the future. In particular, the Onsen doesn’t have rocky, uneven surfaces, so I don’t have to worry about slipping or falling.

We stayed here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. As soon as we drove up to the entrance, the staff—already waiting—welcomed us with amazingly smooth, attentive service. I was nervous in an unfamiliar place, but before I knew it I was in the lobby with Bach playing softly, looking out at the sea and enjoying a chilled glass of champagne, my excitement building. The space was spotless and warmly appointed, and the selection of sweets, drinks, and amenities showed impeccable taste. The toothbrush was the most comfortable I’ve ever used. Above all, the bath was outstanding. With the window open, listening to birdsong and gazing at the ocean—and because it’s free-flowing—I even tried skipping a rinse-off and body cream afterward, yet my skin stayed moisturized without drying out! At dusk, the view from the lounge was beautiful. The British ginger lemonade was delicious, and we’re especially grateful to the elegant and attentive female staff member who made the lounge so wonderfully comfortable—thank you as well for preparing an orange liqueur for us at the end. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent; not only did everything taste wonderful, but the ingredients and presentation were beautiful too. That said, I couldn’t stop eating bread and butter and ended up too full by the time we reached the main course! Even so, it was cooked perfectly and tasted superb—I finished it all. Next time I’ll pace myself so I can fully enjoy everything through to the main dish. The young service staff were also highly professional and impressive. Even without mentioning that it was an anniversary—and even as first-time guests simply dropping by—we received consistently thoughtful hospitality throughout. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday. It was a hot and humid day, and we were exhausted after only a short walk, but the Room was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and everyone at the Accommodation was kind. We’re glad we chose to stay here. The next day, you also let us keep our car parked until the last possible moment, so we could enjoy sightseeing in Nara without worrying about parking. It became a fun and memorable birthday trip. Next time, we’d like to make a Reservation for a different Room. Thank you very much.

[All-Inclusive] An Elegant Evening with an Authentic Teppanyaki Dinner and Free-Flow Drinks (Dinner & Breakfast Included) – Premium Twin Room Everything was wonderful. - Room: It was spacious, had a sofa, and we were able to relax comfortably. Having two sinks was also very convenient. However, I tripped on the step at the entrance to the washroom, so I hope this can be improved. - Dining: Every dish in the dinner course looked and tasted amazing. Drinks were free-flow with a glass-exchange system, so we enjoyed beer and sparkling wine. For breakfast, we could choose from three types of galettes, and they were delicious. Curry was also included, which would be great for those with a big appetite—our group doesn’t eat much, so we ended up feeling very full. - The lounge was also a wonderful space where we could relax comfortably. - There was also a large public bath—this was one of the main reasons we chose this property—and everything about it was excellent. We would definitely like to stay again.

I’d heard that Hanaya Tokubei is a great place to stay if you’re visiting Dorogawa Onsen, and I was lucky enough to book the last available room. The atmosphere was wonderful, with a lounge where jazz plays and a veranda used to welcome yamabushi practitioners. There were four of us staying, and the room was spacious; the meals were delicious and just the right amount. All of the staff provided courteous service, making it a truly warm and welcoming inn. This was our first time staying here as a couple. We arrived using the navigation system, and headed toward the lights of the building on a small hill. The sunset was incredibly beautiful, and we were truly impressed by what a wonderful place it is. The meals were also delicious—both dinner and breakfast. The Room had a large bed, and we were able to relax comfortably. Thanks to you, our time in Nara became a wonderful memory, with both the Accommodation and the shrines and temples being outstanding. I chose this place after hearing that the Horyu-ji storytelling tour was fascinating, and it was even more enjoyable than I imagined. If I hadn’t known anything, I might have just walked around for a few dozen minutes and been done, but the guide’s talk—full of knowledge and humor—made the two-hour tour fly by. The room was comfortable, and all the staff were courteous, so I had a very pleasant stay. It also made me realize how nice it is to take your time exploring a single temple in depth.

The entire hotel felt refined and stylish, and the room was spacious enough to be very comfortable. The bath wasn’t crowded, and I was happy with the amenities and the ReFa hair dryer! The records—one of this hotel’s signature features—seem to divide opinions, but we borrowed a variety of nostalgic records and really enjoyed them. Please don’t get rid of them! At night, we enjoyed craft beer and a mikan sour at the complimentary lounge, along with various snacks we picked up from nearby shops. Wearing yukata and borrowing a cute basket for a stroll was also an experience you don’t often get. In the morning, we went to Dogo Onsen Annex Asuka-no-Yu. Online it said there would be a 15-minute wait, but we got in right away and it was quiet. It was crowded at night, so morning might be the best time to go!

Everything was wonderful, including the staff’s service. I would like to stay here again.

Because it was close to the station, it was very convenient to leave our luggage and easily head out by bus or train to sightseeing spots a little farther away. Since the Room had a private bath, we could relax without worrying about others, and the in-room foot massager was also provided, which helped relieve travel fatigue and was great.

This was my first return visit in quite a while. So much time had passed that my memories from the last stay had faded, but I still remembered how good it was—so I decided to stay again. Just like last time, everything was excellent! The hospitality and the staff were truly wonderful. It’s definitely a place you’ll want to come back to. Thank you very much.

It would be perfect if you could provide amenities such as facial toner. I was so tired that I went to sleep as I was, expecting my skin to get dry.

I stayed here on a solo trip to Mt. Yoshino in Nara Prefecture to recharge. The staff were cheerful and kind, and the inn was wonderful, filled with warm hospitality. Every dish made with plenty of local ingredients was delicious, and the careful explanations when serving made the meal even more enjoyable. Although I was traveling alone, I truly appreciated having dinner served in my room at night—it allowed me to relax and savor everything at my own pace without worrying about others. Breakfast was served in a large hall in a traditional style, with tables and chairs set on tatami mats; it had a charming atmosphere that felt very special. The breakfast side dishes were all so tasty that they went perfectly with rice—I ended up having seconds. The weather was also on our side, and the open-air bath felt absolutely amazing; all my daily fatigue melted away. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I would love to visit again in another season.

I enjoyed the shojin ryori (traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine). The meal was plentiful and very delicious. The morning service and the guided explanation were also wonderful experiences.

Although the Room is a bit far from the front desk, it had everything we needed, and it was great to be able to relax without worrying even if our small children got excited. The warm hospitality at check-in was also wonderful. Our child got a little fussy during the meal, but your thoughtful care really helped us. Thank you very much!

This was my first stay here, and I felt thoughtful attention to detail throughout, making it a very comfortable experience. First of all, the location—right in front of Kyoto Station’s Hachijo Exit—is extremely convenient. Even with large luggage, getting around was easy, which was a huge help on this trip. Inside the Hotel, the lobby is spacious and there is also a guest-only lounge, which I really appreciated for relaxing. The lounge is accessed by tapping your Room key card, and there is a wide variety of drinks available—not only coffee but also options like matcha latte—free to enjoy. You can even take drinks back to your Room, and I was surprised that the lounge could be used even after check-out. It’s a wonderful service that lets you relax until the very end. And what I especially loved this time was the large public bath. It was kept very clean, with thorough cleaning and well-stocked amenities. During my stay I used it three times—in the evening, at night, and in the morning—and it was pleasant every time. You bring towels from your Room, but just in case you forget, spare towels were prepared at the entrance as well. I really appreciated this kind of consideration for those “small inconveniences.” I felt this is a Hotel that not only has excellent Facilities but also pays close attention to every detail so guests can enjoy their stay comfortably. I liked my stay so much that I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.
