I stayed here while sightseeing around Mt. Hakkoda and Lake Towada. Dinner offered plenty of local specialties, such as senbei-jiru soup and grilled Aomori beef. The view of the Hakkoda mountain range from the window is also wonderful. The Facility feels a bit dated, but I appreciated the staff’s friendly check-ins, could relax in the large public bath, and everything was well cleaned—overall a very good Accommodation. The only downside was that the Room felt dry; it would be even better with a humidifier. I go to bed early so it wasn’t an issue for me, but if you want to drink in your Room late, note that the shop is open only until 10:00 PM and there are no convenience stores nearby, so it’s best to buy what you need in advance. I also learned there’s a ski resort right in front, so I’d like to come back for skiing next time.

We used this place like a vacation rental. Since we visited Asahidake for hiking and Asahiyama Zoo, we chose this location as it was conveniently in between. There are supermarkets and drugstores nearby, making it easy to shop for groceries and daily necessities. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, making it very convenient and comfortable to use. Additionally, the furniture was lovely, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay.

The Japanese-style Room was spacious and clean, allowing us to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. The Onsen was excellent—at first it felt a little mild, but after soaking for about 10 minutes, my body warmed up and I could truly unwind.

This Hotel is highly recommended for anyone considering a stay around Lake Yamanaka near Mt. Fuji. What I appreciated most was the free Shuttle Service from the Fujisan-Yamanakako bus stop to the Hotel. It is available between 15:00 and 17:00, and being taken directly to the Hotel after getting off the bus made me feel very comfortable even on my first visit. If you plan to use it, be sure to make a Reservation in advance online or by phone. The location is also excellent, and Rooms on the Mt. Fuji side offer a stunning view of Mt. Fuji right from the window—truly a highlight. Being able to relax in your Room while enjoying that view feels special. All of the staff were very kind, and it was impressive how attentive and pleasant everyone was, regardless of nationality. The overall atmosphere was warm, and I felt at ease throughout my stay. Before staying, I had seen in a Review that “the shower room is a bit small,” which made me slightly concerned, but in reality it was a unit-bath style setup and personally felt like an appropriate size. It was easier to use than I expected, with no inconvenience at all. I also added meals on-site, and the eel course was excellent—I was very satisfied. There were plenty of dishes included, which was especially enjoyable for an eel lover like me. With great views, location, service, and dining all well balanced, this is a Hotel I would happily choose again.

I didn’t have very high expectations until we actually stayed, but we were extremely satisfied traveling with our toddler (1 year and 2 months old). All the necessary baby items were provided, and they even supplied diapers as a complimentary service. Safety guards were properly placed on table corners and other areas, and even things like remote controls were individually sealed in antibacterial film—thoughtful details that made us feel at ease. At first I wondered if the Room might be a bit small, but there was no wasted space. The futon area (raised platform), living space, and the outdoor open-air bath flowed seamlessly together. Because you can see into the Room while bathing, I could relax in the bath while keeping an eye on my sleeping child. The highlight of any trip is the food, and both dinner and breakfast were served in-room. Everything was delicious. Unlike many Ryokan breakfasts that are unnecessarily large and end up getting cold, ours was served warm with delicate flavors—we were truly satisfied. They also prepared child-friendly options such as softly cooked rice and a lightly seasoned clear soup. The meals were not only delicious but also safe for our child, so both parent and child could enjoy them. Our daughter doesn’t eat packaged toddler meals, but we could simply rinse pieces of grilled fish or simmered dishes from the adult meal in hot water before giving them to her—so we really appreciated being able to travel almost empty-handed. We would definitely stay again. I suspect most guests will return too, so it may become harder to get a Reservation. Highly recommended.

We stayed here on our way to Kumamoto, visiting places like Hita and Yume Otsuribashi. Upon arrival, the staff promptly helped us with our luggage. Since there were few guests staying, we were allowed to use the men's onsen as a private family bath. The outdoor onsen had a silky texture that felt like applying lotion to the skin. As our room only had a shower, this was a very appreciated service. The room featured elegant furnishings that must have been impressive when first opened. While some signs of aging were noticeable (like loose closet knobs), everything was kept clean and tidy. The TV was quite small—less than 20 inches—and we found ourselves standing close to watch it at times. Normally, we don't watch much TV during trips, but since the weather was bad and there wasn't much else to do outside, it became a way to pass time indoors. On clear nights, I imagine the stars would be stunningly visible. Dinner consisted of course meals and everything tasted delicious! Although I knew this when making my reservation, breakfast offered only one option: Western-style with fried eggs as the main dish. Since this is not a large hotel catering to many guests, having no buffet is understandable (and I personally don’t prefer buffets). However, I would have loved an option for Japanese-style breakfast. On October 19th during our stay, there was one tree within the property showing autumn colors already turning red. By November, you can likely enjoy vibrant red and yellow foliage. This accommodation is perfect for those looking forward to enjoying onsen and meals here—thank you very much!

This property, located in the highly popular area of Hayama, features a unique layout designed to maximize space. The second floor houses the bedrooms, while the third floor includes the living-dining-kitchen (LDK) area, bathroom, and balcony. The fourth floor offers a rooftop space with an elevator for convenience. However, please note that the parking space on the ground floor is quite narrow and directly faces a residential road, which may make parking challenging during certain times of day. If your vehicle exceeds the designated size limit for this parking spot, there is a coin-operated parking lot available diagonally across from the property. Inside, every corner of this facility is impeccably clean and well-organized. From the third-floor living room, you can enjoy stunning views of both the ocean and Mount Fuji (photos available). The facility provides excellent comfort and functionality for guests. Additionally, there is a bus stop with frequent service conveniently located right in front of the property—perfect for accessing dining options near Zushi Station or other nearby areas.

It was a stylish and simple hotel. It was just right for No Meals Included. The hotel staff were all lovely, easy to talk to, and provided courteous service!

An Onsen Hotel with the feel of a Resort Hotel in an unbeatable location. So comfortable you’ll want a Multiple Night Stay. The homemade touch at breakfast is outstanding. Once you stay, you’re sure to become a fan. I’d definitely like to stay again.

The staff were very friendly, and they responded quickly to various requests. You check in at the Hotel and then head to the cottage, but there was no sign for the “Center House” shown on the map, so we couldn’t find it on site. We ended up taking the wrong road and had to turn back—walking back along a mountain path with our bags was scary. I wish it had been easier to understand. There were indeed a lot of insects, but three cans of insect spray were provided. However, there seemed to be a beehive above the sliding door on the veranda where you can barbecue, and our child was too scared to go outside—this was really a problem. The starry sky was beautiful, and it was nice that we could also set off fireworks.

This was my first time using the service. After arriving at the Stays, I completed the check-in and entered the Room, which, although not new, was clean and tidy. The cleaning was thorough, allowing for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was delicious, and I was very satisfied with the unlimited refills of coffee, bread, and more. Thank you very much.

I heard that a colleague from work was staying here, so I decided to stay as well with a separate reservation. From check-in to breakfast and departure, the staff were very pleasant, and the stay was comfortable. We opted for a plan with breakfast included, and the freshly cooked rice and side dishes made for an excellent meal. Since there are few dining options in Fukudamura, staying with a dinner barbecue plan also seems like it would be enjoyable.

Dinner included sashimi, fried dishes, grilled salt-seasoned iwana fish, chilled chawanmushi, gomoku kamameshi, and dessert—all delicious. We enjoyed the chilled sake "Shichishou" at a leisurely pace. The Room was a new bedroom where we had a restful sleep. The mountains were beautiful, and exploring the area upon waking created wonderful memories.

We stayed in June with four people and booked four Rooms. The Accommodation isn’t brand-new, but the Rooms are spacious and very well cleaned. There aren’t any power outlets near the beds, but there’s an extension cord at the desk area—thoughtful and clearly guest-friendly. Free coffee in the lobby is available 24 hours a day, which was great! Breakfast was delicious too. The breakfast area (lobby) was thoroughly cleaned right away whenever guests left their seats. We would stay here again if we’re in the area.

I love traditional Japanese accommodations and have stayed at many restored old houses. This place is truly unique. It’s not a stylishly renovated old house with everything modernized. That’s why it brought back nostalgic memories of my childhood in the countryside. A single-story house, tatami rooms, sunken kotatsu, veranda, cooking rice in a pot over firewood from the forest, chopping wood, lighting charcoal, cats lounging in the garden, beautiful starry skies, cicada shells, cricket chirps at night, birds singing in the morning... The only word that comes to mind is "peace." It felt like I had traveled back to early Showa-era Japan. While other beautifully renovated old houses are wonderful too, this place was incredibly healing for my soul. Luxurious simplicity—there's no greater luxury for the heart than this. One night wasn’t enough at all! I already want to return soon and have made my next reservation right away!

The BBQ at night was unexpectedly delicious. The breakfast bread was also very tasty. We stayed in a large Room, which was spacious and open, making it very pleasant. The bath was a shared Facility, but it was very warming. All the staff were kind, and we had a comfortable stay. Both inside and outside the Facility were clean and well-maintained, making it very comfortable. We participated in the pottery class, which became a wonderful memory for us. We would love to stay again!

I stayed one night in the larger of the two Accommodation rooms. The Room is in one of two lodging buildings located slightly uphill from the reception and the private day-use Onsen area. The Onsen is about the size shown in the photos (around three tatami mats), with fresh hot water continuously flowing in. The Onsen room is separated from the outside by plastic shoji screens; when you open them all, you can enjoy the outdoor view like an open-air bath, soaking in an airy atmosphere while listening to birdsong. There is a ledge inside along the edge of the tub at a height you can sit on, so you can even lie back while bathing. Honestly, it feels unbelievably good! The shoji screens can also be locked, so it feels safe at night. 　There is also a balcony, and smokers are apparently asked to smoke there. There was absolutely no smell of cigarettes in the Room. The refrigerator includes a freezer compartment, and there is also a microwave and toaster oven. There didn’t seem to be anywhere nearby to eat, so we brought frozen meals for both dinner and breakfast, heated them in the microwave, and ate in the Room. The refrigerator had two free 500 mL bottles each of mineral water and sparkling water. It was nice to be able to hydrate during bathing as well. Two drip coffees are provided free of charge, and there’s also a teapot and tea cups for Japanese tea—excellent service overall. Wi‑Fi was fast and stress-free thanks to an in-room router. 　At night we could hear owls, and in the morning we woke up to birds such as bush warblers—an environment where you can truly enjoy nature. Some online Reviews mentioned that it was “cold,” but besides air conditioning there is also gas heating installed, so I don’t think it would feel cold even in winter. I visited in mid-May; I used cooling during daytime and heating at night on the air conditioner settings, which was comfortable. The bed had a down duvet, and mattress firmness was very comfortable as well—one of the best sleeps I’ve had among many Hotels. 　The hot spring water is clear and colorless with a relatively smooth feel. After arriving I enjoyed long Onsen baths right away, went again after dinner, then briefly before bed. The next day I woke early for another soak right away, then took one more long bath after breakfast. It’s perfect if your goal is simply quiet time soaking in an Onsen. 　This is an Onsen Accommodation I want to stay at again and again.”

Thank you for taking care of us on our ski trip. It had been a while since we last stayed at this Accommodation, and we found the charming Western-style building very relaxing, especially with the fireplace in the restaurant. The building is a bit old, but the Room and bathrooms were kept very clean. The hamburger steak dinner was delicious, and on the second night of our Multiple Night Stay we had roast beef. The portions were a little small, so on the second night we bought a late-night snack at a convenience store. On New Year’s Eve, we could also see the countdown fireworks from our Room. It’s quite far from Tokyo so we can’t visit often, but we’d like to stay here again when we go to Appi.
