I made a Reservation because this Accommodation was reasonably priced and fairly close for sightseeing in Karuizawa. On arrival, there was welcome coffee from Mikado Coffee, and amenities were provided as well. Please note that pajamas are not provided. The Room was spacious and even had two TVs. I was also happy to find Mikado Coffee drip packs in the Room. A few things stood out: the Room felt a bit dated, I would have preferred newer slippers, and I saw a small ant while taking a bath—so it would be great if there were screens or something similar (it wasn’t so bad that it ruined the stay). That said, the breakfast included was very luxurious and exceeded the price! Since Karuizawa has stylish cafes, I think it would be nice to have a No Meals Included Plan as well. Thank you for your courteous assistance with parking and for contacting me about an item I left behind.

Walking distance to the Blue Cave and a quiet beach with a private feel made for an excellent experience. The Facility offers free rentals of masks and shoes, as well as paid rentals for life jackets, allowing you to enjoy snorkeling even without bringing your own gear. Although there are no convenience stores nearby, the Facility sells drinks such as juice, water, alcohol, cup noodles, and frozen foods. A simple complimentary breakfast of bread, salad, boiled eggs, and coffee was provided. The staff were very kind, and this Facility is perfect for enjoying Ishigaki's nature at a reasonable price.

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but the scenery along the way is so beautiful that getting there is truly enjoyable. The moment I arrived at the Accommodation and stepped inside, I was genuinely moved by the wonderful atmosphere. Everywhere you look feels like a scene from a drama or novel—surrounded by beautiful architecture and furnishings, I was able to fully enjoy an extraordinary escape. The entire property was also impeccably clean, making my stay extremely comfortable. From my Room, I could gaze out at lush greenery, and the soothing sound of the river was so relaxing that I found myself listening for ages and losing track of time. The baths are private-use only (a large bath and a smaller bath), so I never had to share with other guests. Being able to soak in complete privacy and unwind without any hesitation was something I truly appreciated. And as for the meals—I chose a Plan with both dinner and breakfast included, and both were absolutely outstanding. For dinner, we went to Otowasanso for kaiseki cuisine. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the dashi flavors were exceptional; I was continuously impressed from start to finish by these delicate dishes unique to Japan. The attendant who explained each course was warm and attentive throughout, which made it an especially happy experience. Breakfast was served on the second floor of Meitokuan. Freshly cooked rice, rolled omelet, grilled salmon, miso soup—each item was simple yet carefully prepared, leaving me feeling satisfied in both body and mind. Both dinner and breakfast were so wonderful that I honestly wished those moments would never end. If you stay at this Accommodation, I highly recommend choosing a Plan that includes both dinner and breakfast—you won’t regret it. Lastly, this was truly a lovely Accommodation filled with thoughtful attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality beyond what I can fully describe. I would love to visit again. I’d been looking forward to the opening of La Vista Minami Aso and stayed during the pre-opening period. The previous Hotel also offered a magnificent, expansive view of Mt. Aso, and while that scenery remains unchanged, the interiors and Facility have been completely renewed. I was able to fully enjoy Aso in comfort—from the spacious lobby and Room to the baths. A few small notes: For the welcome drink in the lobby after check-in, I had coffee, but it would be even better if beer were available earlier (not only from 6:00 p.m.) and if decaf coffee were offered. As for dining, dinner was a La Vista–style course meal and breakfast was a buffet. Both featured many ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture, and everything was delicious. I’d be happy if the breakfast buffet had a slightly wider dessert selection. The baths were wonderful as well—great views of Aso from the large public bath, plus private baths and a sauna. The post-bath ice cream and massage chairs were also a nice touch. It was disappointing that the probiotic milk drinks (Yakult) ran out quickly during my morning bath. The late-night ramen service common to Kyoritsu Resort was delicious (if I may be indulgent, I’d love it if there were two varieties like in Kirishima). Since it was during the pre-opening period, there may have been some areas where staff were still getting used to things; however, their sincere effort really came through. Wishing you all the best toward the grand opening. I’d love to stay again.

The room was clean and very pleasant. The children felt at home and relaxed. We understood the Goemon bath concept, but the fixed shower and concrete feel were a bit disappointing. Due to the extreme heat during the day, the temperature on the second floor did not cool down enough for sleeping, so we had to sleep on the first floor, which was unfortunate. We would appreciate it if you could consider measures to address the heat on the second floor. The meals and service were excellent, and we were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

Although my check-in was later than planned, the staff accommodated me without any displeasure. The meals were just the right amount, leaving nothing behind, and were very delicious. The hot water was so smooth, like soaking in a beauty serum, that if I lived nearby, I would use it frequently. Since it is a small Ryokan, the walking distance was minimal, making it very convenient. It was a Ryokan I would definitely like to stay at again.

I truly felt the warm hospitality of this wonderful family throughout my stay. I never expected they would host a mini concert or a stargazing event. A standalone Hotel with nothing around? Not at all—first, you’ll be amazed by the superb Onsen. The moment you stroke your left shoulder with your right hand and your right shoulder with your left, you can feel how pleasantly smooth the water is. Meals are served in a private dining room, so you can relax and take your time. If only the futon mattress were thicker and the TV one size larger, it would be absolutely perfect!

We stayed with a Biwako Hakodateyama Ski Resort lift ticket and meals included. We chose a Room in the main building, and it was clean, spacious, and very nice. The bath was under repair, so we had to go to the annex building, which was the only disappointing part. The bath itself was clean and good; it was just inconvenient to move. The meals were delicious, and breakfast was also great with plenty of side dishes. Considering the lift ticket included, I think it was excellent value for money. Thank you very much.

Although the weather felt like the rainy season had returned, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the observation room (Gekko). Because the building is located on a hill, we had a clear view of the Shimanto River and the surrounding mountains. The Onsen water was excellent, with a slightly silky texture. For dinner we chose Sawachi cuisine featuring local dishes, and this time it was served as individual small plates rather than one large platter. Overall, I think it was a truly wonderful Accommodation. However, please drive carefully—the Accommodation is reached only after an extremely winding mountain road (narrow roads). Also, although it looks like it’s only about 5 minutes to town (convenience stores, etc.) on the map, as mentioned above it’s up in the mountains, so at night it’s pitch-dark and very dangerous! If you want to bring alcohol or cigarettes (the smoking area is outside the building), I recommend buying them before check-in. One more thing: they lend you samue loungewear, and it was made from incredibly comfortable fabric—perfect to wear. (If they sold it, I definitely would have bought it! It really was that comfortable.) I’ve stayed at several places near the Shimanto River before, and I can genuinely recommend this one. Lastly, thank you very much to all of the staff.

We made a Reservation because the Room has a reclining bath. Our plan for the day was to soak in it at night while looking up at the sky, but since it rained, we thought we would just relax and listen to the sound of the rain. However, there were so many insects that we gave up on using it at night. The Ryokan staff said it was an unusually heavy day for insects as well. We took it positively as proof of how rich the nature is, and enjoyed the reclining bath slowly after sunrise instead. It was truly surrounded by nature, and the bath felt wonderful. As for dinner, my husband and I are not good with river fish, so we ended up leaving some behind—sorry about that. The quantity and flavor were more than enough; it was an excellent meal. Regarding service, I can’t go into details, but there was something where I caused trouble. When I explained this to the front desk staff, they instead apologized for any inconvenience to us. I’m not comfortable with overly close service, but their sense of distance was just right, and we had a very pleasant day. We would like to visit again in winter.

Stayed with breakfast and dinner included for a trip to Chikubu Island. The rate was very good for a stay with two meals, and the food was plentiful and delicious. Compared with a Business Hotel, the Room and the bathroom/toilet are more spacious, so you can relax comfortably. The discount on the sightseeing boat was also a plus, and the Shuttle Service to/from the station and the sightseeing boat pier was a welcome service.

After 20 years, the bath was still great, and although meals were previously served in the Room, the food was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant. The garden remains as beautiful as it was 20 years ago. While I like the nostalgic feel of the building, a bit more renovation might be better.

Robata grilling is the best!!

As mentioned in other Reviews, the building undeniably feels old. However, I think it’s a very good Hotel that leaves a positive impression, with clear efforts to improve seen throughout. *There were free tea dispensers and water dispensers (as of March 2026).* *It was a weekday stay, and the Wi‑Fi speed was around 240 Mbps.* The meals are delicious, and the portions feel generous. *It might feel a bit insufficient for teenagers going through puberty...* *They were able to accommodate allergies as well—please inquire in advance.* I stayed during ski/snowboard season, and I think the cost performance is good. Above all! The staff are very kind. I would like to stay again.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful assistance from the time we requested a change from no meals to meals included with our Reservation. It truly felt like an old castle in the forest, and the Room had a wonderful atmosphere. Above all, the baths—especially the open-air bath—had silky-smooth water, and I wanted to soak in it every day. The restaurant staff were also very attentive, and as expected of Niigata, the food was absolutely delicious.

The Hotel is within walking distance of Oshidomari Terminal. Breakfast and dinner were served individually, so we could enjoy our meals at a relaxed pace. The food was delicious, including sea urchin, salmon roe, sashimi, and hokke. All the front desk staff were kind, and even though we came from Rebun Island, they also arranged Shuttle Service to the airport on our departure day. The service was courteous and attentive.

I had plans to go to Fujinomiya in the morning, so I stayed the night before. The parking lot next to the Hotel fills up quickly, so I used the second parking lot, but it’s also close and not a hassle. After check-in, there are individual shoe lockers by the entrance for each Room, and you move around inside in slippers. The Room is reasonably spacious. Since the outlet by the bedside is a bit far, I recommend bringing a long charging cable. The bathroom and toilet are completely separate, and the bathtub and washing area are also separated, so if you fill the tub first you can wash up and get into the bath right away, which is great. There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and chain restaurants nearby, so finding food shouldn’t be a problem. The free breakfast doesn’t have a huge variety, but everything was tasty. Overall, it was a great value Hotel.

The staff were very kind, the meals were delicious, and I was able to enjoy a relaxing stay for one night. Thank you very much. I would like to visit more places in Nasu, so I plan to come again in autumn. Looking forward to staying with you again at that time!

In the morning, we took the ferry from Aka Island. After doing SUP in the morning, we stopped by to leave our luggage. There was still time before check-in, but they kindly let us change clothes in our Room. We enjoyed riding a bike in the afternoon. It was great. We were looking forward to dinner at the Hotel, but we were informed a week in advance that it wouldn’t be available. I wish we had known that when making the Reservation.
