The hospitality, meals, and 24-hour Onsen helped melt away our fatigue after hiking.

This was our second visit, and once again, the hospitality was exceptional, making it a delightful stay for the whole family. Attentive service, delicious food, and beautiful grounds. We especially loved the canoeing! The only downside this time was that our location didn’t have a toilet or sink nearby, so we had to leave the Room to use the restroom, which was a bit inconvenient. Opening and closing the tent was also somewhat challenging... Other than that, we were very satisfied!

The Room was spacious with high ceilings, and we could see the forest from the window. The windows were large too, giving it an amazing open feel! The welcome daifuku (handmade by your daughter, I heard) was just as delicious as rumored—perfect since I was a little hungry. I was the first to use the bath, and the changing area was very spacious and extremely clean, so I could relax and enjoy it comfortably. Every meal was made with such care and tasted wonderful! I ended up having three glasses of wine. I was traveling solo, but the host and hostess kindly chatted with me, which made dinner truly enjoyable. Even though it was my first visit, they treated me no differently from regular guests, which genuinely made me happy. Unexpectedly, I came down with severe muscle soreness from hiking downhill, and they prepared cold patches, Tiger Balm, and even magnesium for me. Thanks to that, I didn’t need to go to a pharmacy—and by the day I left, going up and down stairs had become much easier. I’m truly grateful for such a warm welcome. I will definitely come again! Next time, I’d love to try your hamburger as well! Lastly, the peach tart served two nights in a row was incredible! You said it was handmade from the crust up—the buttery pastry really stood out, and there were two kinds of cream inside the peaches. It was absolutely delicious. It turned into a truly wonderful stay. I’ll be back again—thank you so much!!

We visited with five families of friends. We were very satisfied. Both the fire-starting experience and stargazing became wonderful memories.

It was very clean and comfortable. I could really feel the attention to detail and thoughtfulness in the amenities. The number locks at the entrance to the Accommodation building and on the Room door were a bit of a hassle, but they make sense from a security standpoint. There were only a few guests, so it felt almost like having the place to ourselves and we could use it spaciously. At night in the BAR (shared living room), I had a short chat with the owner at the counter. If there had been more guests, I think I could have enjoyed even more interaction. Just note that meals are not provided. How you use the dining/drinking space (shared living room) is up to you. It isn’t cheap for private Room use, but it was an Accommodation I felt was well worth it—and I was very satisfied.

Although we didn’t have a chance to use it this time, the kitchen had a hot plate and plenty of tableware, so it seemed easy to cook a variety of meals if you bring your own ingredients. The Room had a calm log-cabin feel with warm wood throughout, and it was clean and well maintained, making it very relaxing. The owner was friendly and gentle; even though we chose No Meals Included this time, they shared lots of recommendations for nearby spots. Since there aren’t any places to eat close by, we plan to book a meal plan next time.

I planned a trip on short notice and looked for accommodation while keeping costs as low as possible. The only drawback was that the room did not have a private bathroom or toilet, but it was not a major issue. Since the price was low, I did not have high expectations for the meals, but I was pleasantly surprised in a good way. Both breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety and were very delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. It is an accommodation I would love to stay at again when visiting the area.

Every early December, we always stay here for smelt fishing at Lake Yamanaka. The Room has been renovated and is clean, and above all, the dinner is hearty and very delicious. The coffee sticks and tea available on each floor are helpful. We will come back again next year!

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. Thank you very much for everything.

We stayed with our dog. The cottage was very clean and the Facility was great, and our dog seemed really happy and relaxed. The owner was also very kind and even told us about sightseeing spots. Breakfast was rice balls and udon, and since I don’t usually eat much in the morning, it felt like a lot—I managed to finish it—so I’m giving 4 stars. However, we were truly satisfied overall, and we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us!!

A favorite place we keep returning to as a family. It feels like going back home. We love the food and the warm personalities of the owners. This time, we stayed to celebrate our second daughter's birthday, and the owner kindly joined in the celebration, which made our daughter very happy. Thank you so much, and we will visit again!

I’m always satisfied with the seasonal dishes. The sweetfish sashimi and salt-grilled sweetfish were delicious. The charcoal-grilled Omi beef I love was also outstanding. For breakfast, the proprietress’s homemade mountain-vegetable side dishes were perfect with the tasty rice. A quiet Accommodation where you can truly escape from everyday life.

Thank you for taking care of us during our sightseeing trip. The staff at check-in were polite and wonderful. However, the location of the “RITA Goshomachi” check-in counter was hard to find. This time there were no other guests, so we were able to relax as if we had the place to ourselves. Thanks to that, we could use the living room comfortably like our own home. The brewery for the sake “Kaze no Mori” is very close by, and it was great to buy some at a nearby liquor store and enjoy it slowly in the living room. The Room was very stylish, and everything was thoroughly cleaned and extremely spotless. We could also borrow bicycles for free, which was convenient for getting around Gose town. There was also a public bath just a short walk away—retro with an amazing atmosphere. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely like to use again when we visit Gose City. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

My spouse and I stayed with our two Chihuahuas. While reminiscing about this place where we made memories with our previous dog, we were also able to create new memories here with our current pups. It was our Chihuahuas’ first time in a pool, but thanks to the freely available life jackets and duck boat, they were able to swim happily. They looked so adorable—it was truly soothing. We also used the self-grooming room after the pool; it had everything from shampoo to a dryer, making it very easy to use. Dog amenities were provided throughout the Accommodation, and body towels and paw towels were placed within easy reach, which was a big help. In addition to dog supplies such as belly bands/diapers, pee pads, crates, and beds, there were snacks for owners; complimentary beer, tea, and water in the refrigerator; and even water prepared specifically for dogs—everything was thoughtfully provided. The host couple were friendly and kind, and their Chihuahua “resident dogs” were incredibly cute. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at ease. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious—our whole family was very satisfied. They also prepared cookies with our dogs’ names on them; they looked adorable and made us so happy as owners—and our pups happily munched them up. The cute toy we received when leaving became another wonderful memory of the trip. The Accommodation felt very clean overall, and time flew by at the pool and dog run. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun and comfortable stay with their beloved dog(s). Thank you so much for your warm hospitality—we would love to visit again.

We stayed as a couple in our 50s. Rather than a Hotel, it feels more like a charming pension-style place, which suits it well. The front desk gave the impression that they may be operating more efficiently than before, and that’s perfectly fine. The staff were all ladies older than us, so the pace was a bit relaxed—but in an endearing way. It felt warm and comfortable. The Room was spacious, with Lake Biwa stretching out beyond the window. Since this area tends to feel cold, even in April they had a heater and blankets prepared. We chose the Omi beef steak course. From the photos I wondered if it might not be enough, but it was very filling and satisfying. For breakfast, we were happy to be able to choose either Japanese or Western style. The curry was especially delicious! The bath is not an Onsen, but it was kept very clean. We went to see the Osaki cherry blossoms by the inlet. Next time, I’d love to visit again during the season when the metasequoia trees are at their best.

The food, the bath, and the view from the bath were all outstanding. The staff were also very polite and kind, which we really appreciated. While we were having a barbecue, an incredibly cute, friendly cat with limited mobility came over—it was so comforting. If possible, we hope the staff can take it in and make sure it gets proper food.

This was my first stay, and it was simply wonderful. The Accommodation is old, but the amenities and Facility are well equipped. Having a cold-water pitcher in addition to the tea set was especially helpful. Being able to quickly drink cold water after the Onsen felt great. They also offer a free aroma diffuser rental, and I slept very well with the relaxing scent. The Room was more than spacious enough for just my husband and me, and it was spotless and clean. The staff were also very pleasant—nothing to complain about! Because it was during summer vacation season, the breakfast buffet was extremely crowded and a bit tiring, but aside from that everything was excellent, and it became an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again. After my stay, I accidentally left something behind in the Room. Thank you for your kind help when I called—it arrived safely. I’m sorry for the trouble. Next time, I’d love to return with No Meals Included. Highly recommended. There are so many good points that I can’t write them all here, but I definitely want to visit again—thank you in advance when that time comes.

We stayed here during the three-day holiday weekend in July. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The cute little touches throughout made us smile. The massage chair was also very relaxing. In addition, the host’s hospitality was excellent, and my companion said it was wonderful as well. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay about a week ago. The Room was the perfect size for two, with simple yet refined interiors and a very clean feel. The bath was made of wood, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful soak without even going to an Onsen. Since our Room had a kitchen, we cooked and ate ingredients we bought at a roadside station. In the beautifully maintained garden with great views, there were benches and tables, so we had breakfast there and truly enjoyed it while feeling close to nature—it was very satisfying. At night, we could also gaze at Aso’s quiet, beautiful starry sky. What made our stay even better was how wonderful the owner is as a person. They were genuinely kind and thoughtfully suggested travel plans in Kumamoto and Miyazaki tailored to us. They also introduced us to truly delicious restaurants and lovely places that you can’t find in guidebooks or on Instagram. (Actually, during our trip in Aso I lost my engagement ring, and because on the last day we returned to Aso after visiting Takachiho Gorge, we were able to go to the recommended bakery and Oshitoishi Hill—and miraculously, I found my engagement ring!) The rice balls made from their carefully selected rice were also exceptional. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories in Aso. We would love to stay again!

[Hospitality & Service] The Facility staff were kind, friendly, easy to talk to, and truly wonderful. When the fire wouldn’t light, they helped right away, and the next morning they even came over to check on us. From check-in to check-out, their warm and refreshing service made us feel great throughout our stay. (I could tell the moment we arrived that the staff were genuinely nice—haha.) [Room] Both inside and outside the Room were unbelievably clean. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—“comfortable” is exactly the right word. *My friend said the floor in the Room was so clean, cool, and pleasant that he slept on it even though there was a bed—lol.* Everything we used within the Facility was spotless, so you can really tell how much care goes into every detail. [Other] I honestly have no complaints at all, but if I had to mention just three things: 1) It might be nice to have a TV or something in the Facility? → Since you can enjoy BBQ until night, I personally didn’t need one because it’s great just soaking up the atmosphere—but some guests might head back to their Room earlier. 2) The reception location (at check-in) → It’s not particularly hard to find, but since reception is on the opposite side of the main road, having a sign or clearer guidance might help. (There was information online.) 3) This is such a great Facility that I’d love for you to upload more photos!!! → It was even better than what I expected from the listing photos, so I ended up being pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. [Finally] This time I happened to see “Hikone Lakeside Resort KOMOREVILLAGO” recommended and made a Reservation—but it made me want it to become more well-known because it’s such a place worth supporting. It feels like it will keep developing further as well, so I’m really looking forward to what’s next—haha. I know it must be tough at times, but I hope you keep going strong.
