This year, we stayed overnight with our dog. It was his first time swimming in the sea, and we enjoyed a BBQ together as well. He happily ate plenty of chicken, pork, and beef. Seeing his big smile made us so happy. At bedtime, we put him in his crate as required, but he wouldn’t stop whining at first (asking to be let out), and we were worried about disturbing the neighboring tents. After turning off the lights and waiting a while, he finally settled down. We’re sorry about that. We’d love to visit again with our dog next time.

The building seemed a bit old, but it was well cleaned and felt very tidy and comfortable. I stayed for one night and two days. On the first day, I used the adjacent Agannasse baths. The variety of cold-water baths was great, and there was also complimentary coffee. The next morning, I used the large public bath before departure, which was also very nice. I only had the breakfast buffet, but there was a wide selection and everything was delicious.

Thank you for taking care of us for two days. We had dinner twice, and it was great to be able to choose a Western-style course one night and a Japanese course the other. The Asahidake Ropeway is within walking distance, so we enjoyed a pleasant stroll. Even though it was a busy season, we were still able to relax and spend our time comfortably. If we have the chance next time, we would like to visit during the autumn foliage season.

We stayed here for the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival. The building seems old, but the Room, floors, and Facility are clean. The meals are very delicious. There was plenty of rice, vegetables, and side dishes, and we ended up eating too much at every meal. The Onsen has several types of baths, so you can relax and enjoy it comfortably. We would love to stay here again for the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival next year.

Unfortunately, due to cloudy and rainy weather, we couldn’t see the starry sky, but we’re already thinking about when to come back for another try. There was a warm, homey atmosphere among guests as well—people asked questions and helped each other out. The drink corner was a great idea, but even after trying many times, no ice came out, and there were a few things that were unclear. An elderly guest seemed troubled because the coffee wouldn’t stop dispensing. I think it would be helpful to post easy-to-understand instructions. At mealtimes, the staff serving us were all foreigners, but they were very polite. Their Japanese was quite limited at times so we didn’t always understand what they said, but we could generally guess from the context and had no issues. One thing that stood out compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at: since it’s a quiet Hotel I thought this might be normal here, but I was surprised that none of the staff said “good morning” to guests in the morning. When my husband passed by the front desk he greeted them first; they may not have heard him, but they were chatting among themselves and didn’t greet guests even as people walked right in front of them. In contrast, the foreign staff in the restaurant—even with limited Japanese—did say “good morning.” Also, the Onsen was wonderful, but there is no fan in the changing room. Having one would help guests cool down more easily and might reduce crowding there. The large public bath and open-air bath are very comfortable and warm you up well. The green view from the open-air bath—and in the morning, clouds or mist drifting over the mountains—felt truly unique. The meals were a good portion size and showed creativity within their price range. Dinner offered an enjoyable mix of Japanese- and Western-style dishes with plenty of variety. Breakfast was buffet-style with many options including both Western and Japanese items as well as desserts; everyone seemed to be enjoying it. The highland area is beautiful—it feels like it could even become a villa resort area someday. We also visited Relaxia Forest next to the Hotel (apparently used as a movie filming location). It’s a lovely forest where we could enjoy forest bathing too. There don’t seem to be any other Hotels around this area, so we’d like to stay again.

There are not many staff members, but it was easy to see which services they focus on, and I felt it is a comfortable and welcoming Hotel. The fresh flowers next to the elevator were very soothing. The Room was spacious and clean, and there was a water dispenser in the hallway where you can enjoy delicious cold water. The bath is an Onsen with plenty of space to relax, and breakfast in the morning was exceptionally delicious. I wanted to thank you in person for the wonderful breakfast, but our timing didn’t match. It helped me recover from my fatigue and left me feeling refreshed and energized.

I was impressed by the staff’s thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality. The meals featured plenty of wild mountain vegetables and local ingredients, and I was very satisfied with the careful preparation. They were wonderful dishes you can’t experience in the city. We also used the private bath, which I highly recommend. It was just the right size and temperature, and it was comforting that the changing area had tatami mats. This is a memorable Accommodation I would love to stay at again.

I found this Accommodation while looking for a nearby place to stay on our way to Kamikochi. It’s a wonderful Accommodation in a quiet mountain village, and everything—the atmosphere, the meals, and the Onsen—was extremely satisfying. We visited with children, and I really appreciate their thoughtfulness, such as preparing the largest Room for us. Although it was near the end of the season, we were able to join the free firefly viewing event and saw about 10 fireflies—it was truly moving!! The Hida beef in the meal was tender, sweet, and absolutely delicious! The Onsen includes both simple spring water and mildly alkaline water; neither has a strong scent or feel, so it’s very refreshing. Some people might find it just slightly hot. The Room was spacious and relaxing, and even in late July it was cool at night—we could turn off the air conditioner, open the windows, and sleep comfortably. We will definitely be back!! *The only thing I noticed: I’m not sure whether it’s due to prefectural policy or the Accommodation’s policy, but there were many foreign staff members (Southeast Asian) working in the dining area. They were friendly and very kind so it didn’t bother us at all, but some guests may feel differently. If you’re concerned, you may want to contact them in advance.*

This time, we stayed in the Jinshiro Room. As always, the in-room bath was incredibly relaxing. The meals were delicious too!

Service is simple and unobtrusive. The Facility inside is new and clean. The stairs up to the second floor are quite steep, so it may be difficult for guests with weak legs or knees. I thought the bathtub might be small, but all three times it was almost private, so I could relax. Dinner featured a rare and delicious sweet-simmered carp. The sukiyaki is on the salty side. Breakfast was a set meal typical of an Onsen Accommodation.

This was my second visit, following my stay last autumn. The staff are pleasant, and the meals—vegetable-focused—suit me very well at my age. The tableware is also beautiful. The bath was wonderful too, with a pleasantly silky feel to the water. As I was staying with my elderly mother, a Ryokan of this size is ideal. The Hasami-yaki rice bowls in the shop are so cute that I end up buying something every time. I’d love to stay again in autumn. Thank you very much.

We arrived a little early, but relaxed in the lobby while enjoying shaved ice. That kind thoughtfulness made us very happy. This is an old but truly lovely Hotel, quietly nestled in the mountains of Atami. The soft, high-quality Onsen is outstanding. The building does show its age, and there is also an area where the owner lives, but that is more than made up for by the wonderful Onsen and meals. Fresh sashimi. Delicious fresh salmon roe. Steak and sukiyaki, and a great variety of desserts, fruit, and ice cream—everything was very satisfying. The amenities are plentiful as well—both in the Room and at the large public bath: DHC face & hand soap, gel lotion, cleansing oil, body & hand milk, milky gel, and hair milk, plus KOSE shampoo, conditioner, and body soap— an excellent selection. There is also a pool that can be used year-round, which is great for children. It really felt like what you would expect from Livemax. Considering how travel costs have risen in recent years, this resort offers excellent value for money. Many of the staff are from overseas, but they are well trained so we felt at ease and very comfortable throughout our stay. Whenever we want good hot springs water or delicious sashimi again, we will come back to stay here. I would highly recommend this very comfortable Hotel to many people. The bed was spacious, and it was a nice Room. The meals were buffet-style, and the shrimp tempura was excellent—you could tell the quality was high. I think this Hotel is a great choice for families who want to enjoy skiing. Strawberry picking at the roadside station is also fun.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights and five days on our golden wedding anniversary trip. The meals and service were excellent. We also truly appreciated the beautifully and carefully written travel itinerary, which became a wonderful keepsake. Thank you very much.

The Japanese-Western style room was spacious and perfect for relaxing as a family. The buffet menu changed slightly each night, and the local vegetables were especially delicious, making every meal both tasty and enjoyable. Lunch was an additional charge, but we appreciated it as well. The pool isn’t very large, but there were plenty of inflatable rings and kickboards, and locker keys and swim caps were lent to guests free of charge. It was open for long hours (7:00–21:00), which was great—we went to the pool whenever we had some free time as a family. Perhaps because swim caps are required, there wasn’t any hair floating around, and it felt very clean. There was also more than enough to do—Mölkky on the lawn, sledding, exploring the observation deck via the lift—and our child looked so happy. Table tennis was fun too! We enjoyed the Dinosaur Museum, Eiheiji Temple, and Tojinbo as well, but the Hotel itself was excellent. We’d love to visit again as a family. If I had one request: our child always sends postcards to grandparents while traveling, so it would be nice if the shop had more Fukui postcards available and if stamps could be purchased at the front desk.

On my first trip to Kushiro, I stayed two nights and spent the second night at Lake Akan. From the entrance to the front desk area looked just like the photos, with lots of wood throughout, and I relaxed on the lobby sofa before heading to my Room. I took a coffee out the back entrance and sat on a bench overlooking Lake Akan—such a great start. The Room was a double Japanese-style Room, more than enough for one person. It may have been renovated; it was a modern, clean tatami Room with a bed, which was great. The bath was a large indoor bath, but I also took the shuttle bus to an affiliated property and enjoyed their rooftop open-air bath—very satisfying! You’ll regret it if you don’t go (lol). Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and everything was delicious. You tend to think “Hokkaido = seafood,” but all the other dishes were also carefully prepared and tasted amazing. I planned to have a drink at the bar next to reception afterward, but I was too full and gave up (lol). The next morning, while taking a walk around Lake Akan, I ran into wild deer! After that, I took an early sightseeing cruise over to Marimo Hall. The cloudy sky wasn’t ideal, but the breeze felt great and it was very relaxing. It was just one night/two days, but I fully enjoyed nature and felt refreshed. I’d love to stay again if I get the chance.

My spouse and I stayed here after a round of golf. Being able to stay at the adjacent Hotel after golf was very convenient, with no travel needed. It was also great to be able to soak in the Onsen after golf and relieve our fatigue. Dinner was a buffet, but it was in the same venue as lunch during golf, so we thought choosing a course meal might have been better. At breakfast there was someone cooking omelets, so we feel having a live kitchen at dinner as well would improve the quality of the buffet. While temperatures in the Kanto region were around 35°C, Tsumagoi Village had a high of about 28°C, which made it very comfortable. We would like to visit again as a summer retreat.

At the end of the Obon holidays, our family suddenly decided to get together, so we made a Reservation in a hurry. Despite it being Obon, the price was unbelievably low, so honestly we didn’t expect much—but both the meals and the Onsen exceeded our expectations. Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes, all delicious. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and my skin stayed pleasantly moisturized for a long time. It was truly a wonderful Hotel that offered far more than its price. Thank you very much.

The meals, the Room’s open-air bath, and the service were all excellent. We were able to fully enjoy a special getaway and relax at our own pace. We would love to visit again!

This is a quiet Accommodation surrounded by greenery. Even during summer vacation, perhaps because it was a weekday or because the building is spacious, it was peaceful and we were able to relax. The female restaurant staff were very attentive.
