Last year, I used Maigre for the first time, and this summer, I decided to stay here for two nights after much consideration. The Facility is excellent, and the sauna is absolutely amazing. However, while the water areas were clean as before, the cleaning of the flooring and carpet was not up to par. There was a lot of hair and food crumbs left behind. I ended up using my own wet wipes to clean before settling in. Everything else was perfect, but this aspect was disappointing again this time.

This beautifully renovated traditional house features a calm, relaxing interior finished with solid wood and plaster. In the early morning it felt more than 5°C colder than Tokyo, but there is not only air conditioning but also a kerosene fan heater, and once the house warms up it’s very comfortable. As the renovation was completed recently and cleaning is thorough, everything felt very clean. As described on the website, the kitchen is well equipped—enough to cook most meals—and having basic seasonings provided is rare for an entire-home rental and was extremely helpful. There is no TV, but there is a Bluetooth speaker and a record player, making it a great place to relax with music or read. I brought a small projector and had no trouble projecting onto the wall. Step outside and you can enjoy magnificent views of the Southern Alps; with little traffic, it’s a wonderful area for walks. I arrived by public transportation, and both Yamanashi Kotsu buses and the local community bus stop nearby, so getting around was easy. However, I heard that Yamanashi Kotsu routes will be discontinued at the end of March 2026; relying only on about five community bus services per day may be quite limiting. There’s a convenience store within walking distance, and around Nirasaki Station you’ll find a shopping mall as well as stylish cafés, pizza places, vintage clothing shops, bakeries, bars, and more—I felt this town development could be promoted even more. The owner was very considerate in many ways, which made my stay extremely comfortable. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

It was very nice. We were very satisfied with how dog-friendly it was. We’re planning to stay again at a different location.

As we did last year, we stayed here again during Golden Week. The log house is well equipped with pots, plates, and other essentials, and it felt very clean. Our kids don’t like insects and usually have a hard time getting used to log houses, but this place was clean and they enjoyed their stay. The BBQ area has a greenhouse-style roof, so even though it rained at night, we were able to enjoy it without any problems. The bath is in the main building and is available until 10:00 PM.

I stayed here to visit Mitsumine Shrine. They responded kindly and promptly to my inquiries even before my stay, and just as the Reviews said, the meals were delicious—I was very satisfied.\nBecause I left early in the morning, they prepared rice balls for breakfast; I was truly touched by their thoughtfulness—three rice balls along with a vegetable juice.

Enjoy a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset over the ocean, and make the most of the sauna. The Room is clean, equipped with modern kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. Meals, such as shabu-shabu for dinner and hot sandwiches for breakfast, were absolutely delicious. In the evening, we watched two movies in the living room. We had a wonderful time unwinding and enjoying this lovely Room to its fullest. Our family even said, "We want to live here; we’re not going back," which shows just how comfortable our stay was. It’s such an amazing place that it makes us want to try staying in another building next time!

We had a wonderful time with our beloved dog, Hana! The bath was great! Dinner was very filling!! Breakfast was delicious too!!! We’ll definitely stay again.

For our summer trip to Shimane Prefecture, we chose Matsudairakaku based on everyone’s Reviews. The spacious, spotless Room connected to the garden was wonderful, and dinner was truly more than we could finish—we looked forward to it every night. They also had a great selection of local sake, and we ended up drinking a bit too much. When sightseeing, they shared recommended routes that only locals would know. On our last day, since we had an early departure, they kindly prepared breakfast earlier for us as well—we apologize for the inconvenience. Everything was perfect, and it made for a fantastic trip to Shimane. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Since it was a No Meals Included plan, we were able to stay at a very reasonable price, and we could also use the wonderful dog run and pool. Throughout the Hotel, we could feel the staff’s kindness and consideration toward dogs, which made our stay very comfortable.

Nozawa Onsen has few accommodations that allow pets. Among them, we had an excellent stay in a spacious log house room, enjoying a relaxing onsen experience. They provided a parking pass for visiting the public baths in town and even allowed us to use the onsen after the trail race the next day. The attentive service was truly appreciated. We look forward to staying here again when we participate in the race next year.

I visited with a friend for our once-a-year, slightly indulgent girls’ trip. The Accommodation seems to be located right in front of a local bus stop, but part of the national highway on the bus route was closed due to a landslide and buses were taking a detour, meaning extra travel time from both Takayama and Matsumoto. So my friend drove from Nagoya instead. We took a short break at the Hirugano Kogen Service Area to enjoy the magnificent scenery, and arrived comfortably in just under three hours with no traffic. There were spots with some snow remaining along the sides of the road, but there was no snow on the road itself. Even so, it gets cold in the mornings and evenings, so winter tires are recommended for peace of mind in case of icy conditions. The building is kept impeccably clean and is wrapped in a pleasant quietness and the lovely aroma of charcoal from the irori hearth—while our Room had no odor at all. We were welcomed into a spacious Room with delicious homemade pound cake as part of their hospitality, and as we chatted comfortably, time flew by. The cuisine was truly outstanding—bringing out the full flavor of each ingredient while presenting combinations and plating unlike anything I’d experienced before, far exceeding its reputation and my expectations. As richer foods have started to leave me feeling heavy or unwell the next day over recent years, I especially appreciated how refined every dish was; it felt like food I could happily enjoy even in my 80s without any heaviness. The chef’s and staff’s genuine desire for guests to enjoy themselves came through clearly. Perhaps because of the high altitude, alcohol seemed to hit more quickly—and since I also wanted to bathe—I unfortunately didn’t get around to trying the local craft beer or sake provided in our Room. Still, stepping outside after the sauna into crisp mountain air with grand peaks right before us felt incredible. The private hot Onsen bath attached to our Room—hotter than expected—with jazz at night and birdsong in the morning was pure luxury: an unbelievably relaxing stay beyond what I could imagine. I’d love to return to experience another season’s cuisine as well—I’ve become a true fan. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

I booked this pension within walking distance because I had long dreamed of seeing the fresh green metasequoia-lined avenue in the morning and evening. I also used everyone’s Reviews as a reference. Luckily, we were blessed with great weather, and we fully enjoyed the vibrant new greenery along the metasequoia trees and felt refreshed by the clean air. Early in the morning there were hardly any tourists, and our walk became a truly wonderful time. Dinner was delicious from start to finish—from the main Omi beef to the apple sorbet—and we were completely satisfied. The recommended white wine was far better than its price suggested, making the meal even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also outstanding, especially the freshly baked bread and homemade strawberry sauce (jam). Above all, both our room and the large public bath were beautifully maintained and very clean, and in so many moments we felt warmed by the thoughtful hospitality of the owner and family—it became a soothing, heartwarming trip. When we left after check-out, the owner waved goodbye as we drove out of the parking lot, which deeply moved both my husband and me. We would love to visit again in a different season next time. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to visit the Yatsugatake Craft Fair. The building is an authentic log house constructed during the bubble era, using luxurious materials. The lounge, featuring an impressive fireplace, offers a cozy atmosphere with comfortable sofas, soothing music from the audio set, a variety of books, and a drink bar with coffee and various teas, making it hard to leave. It is even used for magazine photo shoots. We stayed as a family, and the Room was spacious, clean, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. The bath was for private use, allowing us to relax without any concerns. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, with dishes carefully prepared by the owner. The meals were beautifully presented, delicious, and very satisfying in portion size. The area around the building is a rare breeding ground for Daurian redstarts in Japan, and we were able to see these adorable birds from the dining area. Thank you to the owner and the owner's daughter for sharing so much with us. We look forward to staying here again.

We stayed here as an Accommodation for sightseeing at Ikuno Silver Mine, choosing it based on Reviews. The carefully prepared meals and the warm hospitality of all the staff were wonderful. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, with impressive single-slab wooden tables lined up, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Even the breakfast bacon was homemade using locally branded pork—pure, simple flavors that let the ingredients shine through. We would definitely like to stay again.

We made a Reservation for this Accommodation as our first trip away with our child just before starting weaning foods. Just as other Reviews said, both dinner and breakfast were very generous, and everything looked and tasted amazing—this alone made us glad we stayed here. The amenities were also very well stocked, and since we mentioned when booking that we had an infant, they prepared not only adult items but also baby lotion and more, which we really appreciated. If there’s one thing to note, we drove to the Accommodation but the route was a bit hard to follow and we got slightly lost before arriving, so it may be helpful to check the directions in advance.

This was my first time visiting Yoshino. The cherry blossoms had not yet started to bloom, but we were shown to a Room with a wonderful view of the Ryokan’s courtyard. I can imagine how spectacular it must be when the blossoms are in full bloom. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were very delicious. The Onsen was just right, and I could enjoy it as many times as I liked without feeling unwell from the hot water.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and the meals were completely different each night; both were very elaborate and delicious. Even though it was just the two of us on the second day, we were delighted by the generous dishes and desserts. If I had to mention one thing, since dinner lasts an hour, the wooden chairs—though beautiful—are a bit hard, so having seat cushions would be appreciated.

The service, the Onsen water quality, and the meals were all so wonderful that there was nothing to complain about. The only thing that made me hesitate was that the tea and water at the vending machines were a bit pricey. The entire building was thoroughly cleaned and very beautiful. The Onsen was described as being like “lotion for your skin.” The front desk staff also said it was excellent, but since many places claim that, I didn’t think much of it at first. However, it wasn’t like any of the silky Onsen I’ve tried before—truly smooth yet refreshing. The temperature was just right, and the open-air bath was outstanding. The food tasted amazing—delicious in a genuinely well-crafted way without relying on expensive ingredients to impress—and we could really enjoy local specialties. Breakfast was also excellent. Above all, every staff member was pleasant, making this an Accommodation we were completely satisfied with. I’d love to come back!
