We returned to Koyokaku for the first time in a year. When it comes to Ureshino, Koyokaku is our favorite Accommodation as a couple. This time we stayed in a twin Room with a private indoor Onsen bath, and being able to enjoy the Onsen anytime is truly luxurious. For dinner, we enjoyed grilled Saga beef, colorful salads, and sashimi until we were completely full. After that, we took a relaxing walk together—something we don’t often do in everyday life—and realized again that this special time was possible thanks to this Accommodation. We were able to rest comfortably as well. Breakfast was just as wonderful: Onsen tofu, salad with roast beef, grilled fish, an Onsen egg, and rice porridge with six different toppings—such a luxury, and everything tasted amazing. This trip was another fantastic one. Thank you very much to all the staff for your kind hospitality again. We will definitely visit again.

During my Kyushu trip in mid-June, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) in the “Chikurintei—Panoramic Open-Air Bath (Japanese-Western Room)” nestled within Mifuneyama Rakuen’s vast grounds. I stayed in the “Yamazakura” Room, which offered views of Mt. Mifune from the corridor and garden, and even had a private gate with direct access to Mifuneyama Rakuen. The open-air bath is a standing-style bath set among trees. It creates a unique floating sensation, and because the water pressure is applied evenly over the whole body, I felt less fatigue afterward. Being able to enjoy the garden and sky while standing also adds to the wonderful sense of openness. The Onsen water is clear and colorless—an alkaline simple spring—with an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, so I never tired of soaking. The indoor bath is heated groundwater, but I also enjoyed it: the hinoki tub was very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to fill. What stood out most was the outstanding quality of dinner. The kaiseki course featuring seasonal local ingredients such as Takezaki crab immediately draws you in with its dashi—clear yet deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced. Each dish reflected the season in both taste and presentation: refined and truly beautiful. Beyond ingredient quality alone, there was a confident simplicity backed by real skill. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, every meal was flawless at an exceptional level. Simply superb—thank you for such a feast. Another highlight was visiting teamLab’s art installations at the affiliated Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel on the same grounds (guests of Chikurintei can enter free). From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re struck by countless lamps evoking forest flowers and sunlight filtering through trees. The most breathtaking work was “Megalis in Ruins Bathhouse,” where digital projections of seasonal flowers illuminate massive stones rising throughout an abandoned public-bath space. When we visited, different scenes cycled continuously—twelve distinct visuals representing all months—and we became fully immersed for about an hour until they completed one full round late at night before closing. Also worth mentioning: the cold-brew coffee served in the lounge area was delicious—I refilled it many times and enjoyed it back in my Room as well. To everyone at “Oyado Chikurintei,” thank you sincerely for creating such a wonderful stay. I will absolutely return when I visit Takeo Onsen again.

It’s a short walk from the station (bus stop), but I think it’s an easy distance to walk. The Room had everything we needed, and it was wonderful that drinks and light snacks were available until 10:00 pm. The snack cakes were delicious. All the staff were courteous and helpful, so we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

We were able to relax and had a wonderful stay. We’re glad we chose to come.

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me. From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded. Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort. While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much. This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel. I made a Reservation just two days in advance, and the property was very clean with a calm atmosphere, so I had a comfortable stay. Since it was a one-night stay with No Meals Included, I didn’t use anything other than the Room. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but they greeted me politely when I went out, and their bright, friendly manner was very pleasant. The Room was spotless and well stocked with amenities, and I was able to relax quietly. The area is rural and there aren’t any convenience stores nearby, but there are small shops, an Onsen Facility, and restaurants just a short walk away, so even with children we were able to enjoy ourselves 충분に楽しむことができました。 I also got to enjoy Saga’s beautiful nature and cherry blossoms. With great weather as well, it turned into a wonderful trip.

We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay in early August for a family trip. The welcome cruise we had been looking forward to felt like a private charter, perhaps because it was late, and the sightseeing cruise inside Huis Ten Bosch exceeded our expectations. The Hotel is stunning—not only from the outside, but also with an incredibly elaborate interior that feels overwhelmingly luxurious. After walking down seemingly endless wide corridors, we were shown to our Room, which had a spiral staircase; the upstairs bedroom area was charming and was a big hit with our two daughters. For dinner on the first night, we made a Reservation at one of the Hotel restaurants and enjoyed a delicious meal while listening to live music. Breakfast requires some caution as the buffet can get crowded, but everything—including shabu-shabu—was excellent. The only drawback is that the Onsen is located some distance away, though that can’t really be helped. The Hotel staff were very polished and left us with a great impression. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.

Not only were the Facility, amenities, cuisine, and location excellent, but above all, the staff’s attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and care were outstanding—my husband and I were impressed again and again. During meals, they noticed even our smallest movements and responded immediately. My favorite part was the corner where guests can freely read books. Cold barley tea was neatly prepared as well, and while enjoying the beautiful view outside, I was able to spend a quiet, unhurried time as if time had stopped. It was a Ryokan we were completely satisfied with. We will definitely come again!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The Room was spacious, and we loved the greenery visible from the window. The meals were, as always, reliably delicious, and we were especially touched that you even prepared an anniversary plate for us this time. All of the staff were kind, making our stay very comfortable. With the private bath service included, along with early check-in and late check-out, we fully enjoyed our Diamond member benefits. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to stay at again.

We stayed overnight to visit Huis Ten Bosch. From the morning of check-in, we were able to park our car and have our luggage stored. There was a dedicated gate for Hotel Nikko, and the entrance/exit was close, which was very convenient. In the evening, we returned to our Room once to take a break, then went back to Huis Ten Bosch again. After returning tired after the park closed, the large public bath helped us relax and felt great. Breakfast was also very delicious, just as expected.

The location was outstanding above all else. The in-room bath was an Onsen, and the view was so incredible that I could have stayed in it forever without wanting to leave. The Room was a perfect size and felt very clean. The meals were excellent, and I was very satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. There wasn’t any particular dress code inside the property, and it was fine to dine in loungewear, which made for a very relaxing stay. We joined the optional stargazing guide tour, but unfortunately Mt. Onidake—the planned observation spot—was covered by clouds so we couldn’t observe there. However, the guide quickly took us to another location, and we were able to see a wonderful starry sky. We enjoyed the Milky Way and summer constellations with the naked eye. The only disappointing thing was that there was a used tissue left in the pocket of the loungewear provided in our Room—apparently from a previous guest. I wonder if they didn’t check the pockets during cleaning… I also became curious about other Onko Chishin properties, so I went ahead and signed up for membership (lol).

Both dinner and breakfast the next morning were very satisfying!! It was also amazing to be able to watch the limited-time 3D projection mapping right in front of the Hotel around 9:00 PM, just before closing. I felt it was a special privilege of staying inside Huis Ten Bosch, and it was very helpful that we could take the limousine bus from in front of the Hotel to Omura Airport when we left. Our child is three years old and was able to play hard until the end, then slept soundly on the limousine bus. We made wonderful memories. Thank you to all the staff!!

Checked in late at night and enjoyed the Onsen. Breakfast the next morning was delicious no matter what I ate! The potato salad with mentaiko was the best, haha.

It was rainy on the day we arrived, so we couldn’t use the open-air bath we had been looking forward to, which was a bit disappointing. The next morning, I went to the open-air bath first thing at 6:00 and enjoyed it. With the indoor bath on B1 and the open-air bath on the 9th floor, it felt a little inconvenient to use.

We had a wonderful stay. We’d love to stay here again the next time we visit Huis Ten Bosch.

I finally brought my daughter, who had been wanting to visit for a long time. The IKYU Diamond benefit was alcohol, but the staff member who showed us to our Room kindly asked if alcohol was okay. Since we don’t drink, they changed it to a non-alcoholic option, and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you. The hot spring water quality was as wonderful as ever, and the Room was clean and relaxing. The meals were delicious with a nice variety of changes, and they even took photos for us at the end—making it a very satisfying trip. We would love to visit again.

The room, with its white-based design and high ceiling, felt clean and relaxing with heated wooden flooring. The semi-open-air bath in the room was spacious, filled with plenty of silky smooth water. Having a water dispenser was also very convenient. Both dinner and breakfast were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making the experience truly delightful. The staff showed great care and attention to my elderly mother, allowing us to enjoy our stay with peace of mind. Thank you very much!

I hadn’t stayed here before, but I chose it this time because it has been renovated and is now very clean, you can enjoy Nespresso coffee in your Room, and there are many izakayas and restaurants nearby! The parking was at a partnered lot very close by and cost 1,000 yen. The Hotel Room was a twin, but it was spacious, easy to use, newly updated, and really great. There’s just one thing I’d like them to work on: I noticed hair from the previous guest in several places. I assume it may have been left behind during cleaning and wiping down the unit bath. If a final check is done at the end, guests will be able to stay even more comfortably. As a guest, you tend to notice signs of the previous occupant in the Room. Other than that, the bedding was good as well—it was truly a very comfortable Hotel!

As a self-employed person, it’s hard for me to take time off, but I was finally able to bring my elderly mother—who had been saying for so long that she wanted to visit an Onsen—for a one-night stay. I chose this Accommodation after reading Reviews, hoping we could relax more than at a large Hotel. Since we stayed on a weekday at the end of summer, the rooms were only about half occupied, which was also nice. The staff were all smiling and pleasant. We checked in early and enjoyed the Onsen before dinner. Dinner was served in private dining rooms with table seating. There were many dishes, but each portion was small enough to enjoy comfortably; everything was served warm at just the right pace, and the flavors and seasoning were perfect—we were very satisfied. The timing worked out well for the Onsen too, so we hardly ran into other guests and could take our time in both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. Staying during the autumn foliage season may be difficult due to crowds, but my mother said she definitely wants me to bring her again.

Just one stop from Hakata, about a 4–5 minute walk from Gion Station Exit 2. Carrying a heavy suitcase up the stairs was tough, but once I entered the Hotel it was cool and comfortable, and it was great to be able to relax with the free drinks on the first floor. Nakasu’s yatai food stalls are also within walking distance, and there are Kushida Shrine and some delicious ramen shops nearby. The Room was clean, and there is a large public bath where I could soak and unwind. However, when I went after midnight it was crowded; since going to the yatai can make you late, I would appreciate it if bathing hours were extended until 2:00 a.m. on weekends. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, including Kyushu-style options, and everything was very tasty! I’d love to stay here again when I visit Hakata.
